In response to the growing number of diabetes cases worldwide, Our study addresses the escalating issue of diabetic eye disease (DED), a significant contributor to vision loss globally, through a pioneering approach. We propose a novel integration of a Genetic Grey Wolf Optimization (G-GWO) algorithm with a Fully Convolutional Encoder-Decoder Network (FCEDN), further enhanced by a Kernel Extreme Learning Machine (KELM) for refined image segmentation and disease classification. This innovative combination leverages the genetic algorithm and grey wolf optimization to boost the FCEDN's efficiency, enabling precise detection of DED stages and differentiation among disease types. Tested across diverse datasets, including IDRiD, DR-HAGIS, and ODIR, our model showcased superior performance, achieving classification accuracies between 98.5% to 98.8%, surpassing existing methods. This advancement sets a new standard in DED detection and offers significant potential for automating fundus image analysis, reducing reliance on manual examination, and improving patient care efficiency. Accidental falls pose a significant threat to the elderly population, and accurate fall detection from surveillance videos can significantly reduce the negative impact of falls. Although most fall detection algorithms based on video deep learning focus on training and detecting human posture or key points in pictures or videos, we have found that the human pose-based model and key points-based model can complement each other to improve fall detection accuracy. In this paper, we propose a preposed attention capture mechanism for images that will be fed into the training network, and a fall detection model based on this mechanism. We accomplish this by fusing the human dynamic key point information with the original human posture image. We first propose the concept of dynamic key points to account for incomplete pose key point information in the fall state. We then introduce an attention expectation that predicates the original attention mechanism of the depth model by automatically labeling dynamic key points. Finally, the depth model trained with human dynamic key points is used to correct the detection errors of the depth model with raw human pose images. Our experiments on the Fall Detection Dataset and the UP-Fall Detection Dataset demonstrate that our proposed fall detection algorithm can effectively improve the accuracy of fall detection and provide better support for elderly care.

In traditional methods, features extracted from the hysteresis loop are manually analyzed to establish a model for predicting tensile force in one ferromagnetic material. However, the hysteresis loop is sensitive to material type, thus increasing the difficulty in predicting tensile forces in two materials. Moreover, manual feature extraction is time consuming. It is necessary to complete automatic feature extraction and elimination of the influence of material type on the hysteresis loop in order to automatically establish a prediction model for tensile force prediction in two materials. In this article, an evolutionary computation-based method was proposed to perform the above-mentioned two tasks simultaneously. The proposed method involves three steps. First, hysteresis loops of two materials under different tensile forces were measured. Second, the measured hysteresis loops were transformed into corresponding transformed ascending hysteresis curves through a transformation operation of the curve of hysteresis loop change (CHLC) for eliminating the influence of material type on the hysteresis loop. Third, an improved bat algorithm was proposed to eliminate further the influence of material type on the transformed ascending hysteresis curve. The improved bat algorithm iteratively gave the position of a material type-insensitive feature on the transformed ascending hysteresis curve. The material type-insensitive feature-based neural network was used to predict tensile forces in two materials. Experimental results verified the proposed method. The motivation of obtaining a general tensile force prediction model, the applicability of the proposed method in more than two materials, and the influence of CHLC transformation operation on the improved bat algorithm and neural network are also discussed. To achieve powerful infringement retrieval for reference images in digital publications, a new improved Scale Invariant Feature Transformation (SIFT) algorithm has been proposed in this paper. The retrieval process in the improved algorithm is innovatively divided into two stages to achieve coarse retrieval and fine retrieval respectively. In coarse retrieval, Geographical Statistics (GeoStat) is creatively used to describe the global spatial relationship of key-points in different orientations in an image and then generate a 144-dimensional feature vector to represent each image. In fine retrieval, only partial images, which are highly similar to the query image obtained from results of coarse retrieval, need to be considered. And the indexing and matching process in the improved algorithm is improved by adding a judgment process to improve the matching speed and reduce the mistaken matching rate. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has more advantages in retrieval speed and higher retrieval accuracy than the original SIFT algorithm. And the proposed algorithm is also more suitable for infringement retrieval of reference images in digital publications than the original one. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper describes a design of fast recognition of road information based on mobile terminal. Firstly, based on the HOG algorithm, we study and verify the effects of different parameters on the performance of the algorithm. Secondly, we test 800 images randomly selected from the INRIA pedestrian dataset to obtain the optimal parameters for the mobile terminal and the proportion of video resolution and detection window. Then, under the same test conditions, the time overheads of the SVMLight and the Lib SVM are recorded and SVM Light training time is significantly less than Lib SVM. Thirdly, we design and implement a real-time road information recognition and warning system on the Windows platform and Android platform. Features include real-time pedestrians detection, voice warning, and road signs recognition. When the vehicle speed is less than 30 km/h, the video resolution is less than 720 × 576 and the detection window/image ratio is less than 1 : 50; the system can guarantee low delay and high recognition rate (97.2%).
