Abstract

Results show that mutants Glu820 and Glu795 of the rat gastric proton, potassium- ATPase exhibit ATPase activity constitutively and increased ATP phosphorylation as shown by double mutations, involving replacement of glutamate residues with glutamine and alanine at positions 795 and 820, respectively.
