This article discusses the influence of companion dogs on the lifestyle of their owners. Research shows that people with companion dogs tend to adopt a more active lifestyle due to the need to take the animal for walks. This leads to regular physical activity, which can have positive effects on body composition and the reduction of cardiovascular risk factors. In addition, interacting with dogs also brings psychological benefits, such as reducing stress and depression. Therefore, having a pet dog can be a positive strategy for the health and quality of life of both the animal and the human. [Extracted from the article]
