The article offers information on the new scientific discovery on the behavior of sea mammals in the Amazon region. A new study reveal that male Amazon River dolphins in Brazil, Venezuela, and Bolivia wave branches, punch their friends and even toss turtles into the air to make impression to opposite sex. The behavior is only observed in humans, and first of its kind in aquatic mammals. The behavior reflect courting rituals. Male fresh water dolphins spin out of the water with various items in their mouth to attract attention, they also tend to fight with one another. Further research using hydrophones to listen in as the dolphins attempt to woo their partners are made.
