Neoperla kachin Stark & Szczytko, 1979 (partim): 221. Neoperla cavalerieri: Li, Wang & Lu, 2012: 36. Material examined. 1 male and 2 females (HIST), China: Guangxi, Guilin City, Multinational Autonomous County of Longsheng, at gate of Huaping National Nature Reserve, 25°37'37" N, 109°54'41" E, 734 m, 2019.VIII.30, light trap, Wang GQ, Mo RR, Liu LX, Qin FP, Mo YY; 1 male (HIST), Guangxi, Guilin City, Multinational Autonomous County of Longsheng, Huaping National Nature Reserve, Cujiang Station, 25°36'16" N, 109°54'21" E, 887 m, 2020. V.18, light trap, Wang GQ. Distribution. China (Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Henan, Hubei and Yunan); Laos; Vietnam; Thailand; Myanmar. The species is included in the revision of Taiwanese Neoperla by Sivec & Zwick (1987), but as a mainland species and no Taiwanese specimens were enumerated among the material examined. Remarks. Both sexes of most examined Guangxi specimens agree well with illustrations and redescription of the designated lectotype: (compare Figs. 23–24 with figs. 9–13 in Sivec & Zwick 1987). However, the male from Huaping (Fig. 24) differs slightly in the spinulation of the aedeagal sac. This variation was already reported for Yunnan specimens of N. cavaleriei, and the species was considered a probable complex with N. lui Du, 2004 (in: Du & Sivec 2004) (Li et al. 2014c). We note that N. kachin was not considered as a junior synonym of N. cavaleriei by Sivec & Zwick (1987). Only the female sex of N. kachin, figured in the original description (Stark & Szczytko 1979), was considered conspecific with N. cavaleriei. Nevertheless, the specific identity of N. kachin is in need of clarification, since the details of aedeagal sac spinulation was not described., Published as part of MO, RAORAO, WANG, GUOQUAN, YANG, DING, LI, WEIHAI & MURÁNYI, DÁVID, 2022, Review and contribution to the stoneflies (Insecta: Plecoptera) of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, with new species and new records from South China, pp. 1-80 in Zootaxa 5176 (1) on page 29, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.5176.1.1, http://zenodo.org/record/7025356, {"references":["Navas, R.
