Abstract

The article discusses the relationship between the apocalypticism defined in the rabbinic book "Pesiqta Rabbati," with the New Testament book "The Revelation to John." It is mentioned that there are many parallels between the two books including the use of apocalyptic language, the messiah and the New Jerusalem. It is informed that apocalyptic literature refers to the predetermined end of the world and the time is calculated based upon the historical events.
