The title compound, C13H10N2SCl2 was prepared by the reaction of p-chloroaniline, KOH and 4-chloro-1-isothiocyanatobenzene in ethanol solution at room temperature. The structure of the title compound is symmetrical. The molecule lies across a mirror plane. There are some weak C—H⋯S intermolecular interactions in the crystal structure. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
