The aim of this paper is to analyze the cultural and social aspects that favor or hinder the entrepreneurship of people with disabilities. Three main factors have been examined: the socio-economic and cultural environment, the geographic one and the aspects related to the most personal motivations. In relation to the socioeconomic environment it has been observed that it arises with the very definition of the disadvantaged groups that act in this environment. And that an important factor to create a social environment prone to entrepreneurship is to normalize the visibility of this group and support it economically and emotionally. On the other hand, the geographical context also influences and conditions the possibility of entrepreneurship by people with disabilities. Depending on it, there will be a greater supply and demand for services, it will offer more business opportunities, guidance, information and training, all of which are central factors in shaping the attitude of people with disabilities to create new businesses. Finally, some factors have been found located in an interpersonal and social plane where the individual becomes visible and is recognized. RESUMEN Este artículo tiene como finalidad analizar aspectos culturales y sociales que favorecen o dificultan el emprendimiento de las personas con discapacidad. Se han revisado tres grandes bloques de factores: entorno socioeconómico y cultural, ámbito geográfico y aspectos relacionados con motivaciones personales. En relación con el entorno socioeconómico se indica la necesidad de incorporar la definición de colectivos desfavorecidos, y que un factor importante para crear un entorno proclive al emprendimiento, es normalizar la visibilidad de este colectivo y apoyarlo económica y emocionalmente. Asimismo, el contexto geográfico también condiciona el emprendimiento de las personas con discapacidad porque, dependiendo del mismo, existirá más oferta y demanda de servicios, ofrecerá mayores oportunidades de negocio, orientación, información y formación, factores centrales a la hora de conformar la actitud de las personas con discapacidad para crear nuevas empresas. Por último, encontramos factores ubicados en un plano interpersonal y social donde el individuo se hace visible y es reconocido.
