BD-6^o1178 identified with the infrared source IRAS05238-0626 is shown for the first time to be a spectroscopic binary (SB2) by analyzing the high-resolution spectra taken with the NES echelle spectrograph of the 6-m telescope. The components of the binary have close spectral types and luminosity classes: F5IV-III and F3V. The heliocentric radial velocities are measured for both components at four observing moments in 2004-2005. Both stars have close rotation velocities, which are equal to 24 and 19km/s. We do not confirm the classification of BD-6^o1178 as a supergiant in the transition stage of becoming a planetary nebula. BD-6^o1178 probably is a young pre-MS stars. It is possibly a member of the 1c subgroup of the OriOB1 association., Comment: 13 pages, 1 table, 4 figures

For the first time high-resolution optical spectroscopy of the variable star V2324Cyg associated with the IR-source IRAS20572+4919 is made. More than 200 absorption features (mostly FeII, TiII, CrII, YII, BaII, and YII) are identified within the wavelength interval 4549-7880AA. The spectral type and rotation velocity of the star are found to be F0III and Vsini=69km/s, respectively. HI and NaID lines have complex PCyg-type profiles with an emission component. Neither systematic trend of radial velocity Vr with line depth Ro nor temporal variability of Vr have been found. We determined the average heliocentric radial velocity Vr=-16.8\pm 0.6km/s. The radial velocities inferred from the cores of the absorption components of the H$\beta$ and NaI wind lines vary from -140 to -225km/s (and the expansion velocities of the corresponding layers, from about 120 to 210km/s). The maximum expansion velocity is found for the blue component of the split H$\alpha$ absorption: 450km/s for December 12, 1995. The model atmospheres method is used to determine the star's parameters: Teff=7500K, log g=2.0, $\xi_t$=6.0km/s, and metallicity, which is equal to the solar value. The main peculiarity of the chemical abundances pattern is the overabundance of lithium and sodium. Repeated spectroscopic observations made with the 6m telescope of yielded new data on the radial-velocity variability of the anomalous yellow supergiant QYSge. The strongest and most peculiar feature in its spectrum is the complex profile of NaI D lines, which contains a narrow and a very wide emission components. The wide emission component can be seen to extend from -170 to +120 km/s, and at its central part it is cut by an absorption feature, which, in turn, is split into two subcomponents by a narrow (16km/s at r=2.5) emission peak. An analysis of all the Vr values leads us to adopt for the star a systemic velocity of Vr=-21.1 km/s, which corresponds to the position of the narrow emission component of NaI. The locations of emission-line features of NaI D lines are invariable, which point to their formation in regions that are external to the supergiant's photosphere. Differential line shifts of about 10km/s are revealed. The absorption lines in the spectrum of QYSge have a substantial width of FWHM~45 km/s. The method of model atmospheres is used to determine the following parameters: Teff=6250K, lg g=2.0, and microturbulence Vt=4.5km/s. The metallicity of the star is found to be somewhat higher than the solar one with an average overabundance of iron-peak elements of [Met/H]=+0.20. The star is found to be slightly overabundant in carbon and nitrogen, [C/Fe]=+0.25, [N/Fe]=+0.27. The alpha-process elements Mg, Si, and Ca are slightly overabundant [alpha/H]=+0.12. The strong sodium excess, [Na/Fe]=+0.75, is likely to be due to the dredge-up of the matter processed in the NeNa cycle. Heavy elements of the s-process are underabundant relative to the Sun. Based on high-resolution observations (R=60000 and 75000), we have studied the optical spectral variability of the star BD+48 1220 (IRAS05040+4820). We have measured the equivalent widths of numerous absorption lines of neutral atoms and ions at wavelengths from 4500 to 6760 AA, as well as the corresponding radial velocities. We use model atmospheres to determine Teff=7900K, log g=0.0, microturbulence velocity xi_t=6.0, and the abundances for 16 elements. The star's metallicity differs little from the solar value: [Fe/H]=-0.10 dex. The main peculiarity of the chemical composition of the star is a large He-excess, derived from the HeI 5876 A absorption, [He/H]=+1.04, and the equally large O-excess, [O/Fe]=+0.72 dex. The C-excess is small, [C/Fe]=+0.09 dex, and the ratio [C/O]$\le$ 1. We obtained a revised relation for the light-metal abundances: [Na/Fe]=+0.87 with [Mg/Fe]=-0.31. The barium abundance is low, [Ba/Fe]=-0.84. The radial velocity of the star measured from photospheric absorption lines over three years of observations varies in the interval V_sun = -(7 - 15) km/s. Time variable differential line shifts have been revealed. We studied in detail the optical spectrum of the post-AGB star HD56126 (IRAS07134+1005). We use high resolution spectra (R=25000 and 60000) obtained with the echelle spectrographs of the 6-m telescope. About one and a half thousand absorptions of neutral atoms and ions, absorption bands of C_2, CN, and CH molecules, and interstellar bands (DIBs) are identified in the 4010 to 8790 AA wavelength region, and the depths and radial velocities of these spectral features are measured. Differences are revealed between the variations of the radial velocities measured from spectral features of different excitation. In addition to the well-known variability of the Halpha profile, we found variations in the profiles of a number of FeII, YII, and BaII lines. We also produce an atlas of the spectrum of HD56126 and its comparison staralpha Per. For the first time, we obtained the high-resolution (R=15000 and 60000) optical spectra for the extremely luminous star No.12, associated with the IR-source IRAS20308+4104, a member of the CygOB2 association. We have found about 200 spectral features in range 4552-7939AA, including the interstellar NaI, KI lines and numerous DIBs, which are the strongest absorption lines in the spectrum, along with the HeI, CII, and SiII lines. A two-dimensional spectral classification indicates that the spectral type is B5+/-0.5 Ia+. Our analysis of the Vr data shows the presence of a Vr gradient in the stellar atmosphere, caused by the infall of matter onto the star. The strong Halpha emission displays broad Thompson wings and time-variable core absorption, providing evidence that the stellar wind is inhomogeneous, and a slightly blue-shifted PCyg type absorption profile. Over the five years of high-resolution spectroscopy of the cool star identified with the IR source IRAS20508+2011, the photospheric radial velocity variability Vr=15-30km/s is detected. In the same time, the Halpha profile varied from an intense bell-shaped emission line with a small absorption to 2-peaked emission with a central absorption feature below the continuum level. The NaD doublet lines shown a complex profile with broad (FWHM \approx 120km/s) emission and photospheric absorption, as well as an interstellar component. We used model atmospheres to determine the physical parameters and chemical composition of the star's atmosphere: Te=4800K, log g=1.5, [Fe/H]=-0.36, [O/Fe] =+1.79 (with the ratio [C/O]=-0.9). A number of studies of abundance gradients in the galactic disk have been performed in recent years. The results obtained are rather disparate: from no detectable gradient to a rather significant slope of about -0.1 dex kpc -1. The present study concerns the abundance gradient based on the spectroscopic analysis of a sample of classical Cepheids. These stars enable one to obtain reliable abundances of a variety of chemical elements. Additionally, they have well determined distances which allow an accurate determination of abundance distributions in the galactic disc. Using 236 high resolution spectra of 77 galactic Cepheids, the radial elemental distribution in the galactic disc between galactocentric distances in the range 6-11 kpc has been investigated. The optical spectrum of the infrared source IRAS 04296+3429 (optical counterpart-G0 Ia star, V=14.2) was obtained with the echelle spectrometer PFES at the prime focus of the 6 m telescope. We discover emission bands (0,0) and (0,1) of the Swan system of the C2 molecule in the optical spectrum of IRAS 04296+3429. Comparison with the spectrum of the Hale-Bopp comet leads us to propose that in both cases the same mechanism (resonance fluorescence) is responsible for the emission in the C2 molecular bands. Several strong absorption features whose positions coincide with known diffuse interstellar bands are revealed in the spectrum of IRAS 04296+3429. The infrared spectrum of IRAS 04296+3429 shows the famous 21 um feature, but this object has not been observed by KAO. However, like IRAS 05113+1347, IRAS 05341+0852 and IRAS 22223+4327, our detailed modelling of its spectral energy distribution suggested that this source also should show the 30 um band. In fact, ISO discovered a broad, relatively strong feature around 30 um for IRAS 04296+3429. The surface chemical composition of the source IRAS 04296+3429 is metal-deficient (the averaged value of the abundances of the iron group elements Ti, V, Cr and Fe relative to the solar values is [M/H]=-0.9 and has been considerably altered during the evolution: carbon, nitrogen and s-process elements are overabundant relative to the metallicity. The totality of physical and chemical parameters derived for IRAS 04296+3429 confirms a relation between presence of the feature at 21 um in the spectrum of a carbon rich star and an excess of the s-process elements., Comment: aa-latex, 11 pages with 8 figures, to be published in AA Main Journal

High-resolution and high S/N CCD spectra were analyzed to determine accurate LTE abundances in four lambda Boo stars: pi^1 Ori, 29 Cyg, HR 8203 and 15 And. In general, 14 chemical elements were investigated. The main results are the following: all stars have a strong deficiency of the majority of investigated metals. Oxygen exhibits a moderate deficiency. The carbon abundance is close to the solar one. To understand the evolutionary stage of the peculiar supergiant IRC+10420, we have been taking spectra for several years at the 6m telescope. The optical spectrum of IRC+10420 of the years from 1992 through 1996 points to the increase in the temperature: spectral class A5 instead of the former F8, as was pointed out by Humpreys et al., (1973). Now it resembles the spectra of late-type B[e] stars. The spectrum contains absorptions (mainly of ions) formed in the photosphere, apparently stationary with respect to the star center of mass, and emissions too, which can be formed in the fossil expanding envelope as well as partly in its compressing region. Using our spectra and spectral data obtained by Oudmaijer (1995) we estimated the atmospheric parameters Teff=8500 K, logg=1.0, Vt=12km/s and concluded that metallicity of IRC+10420 is solar: the average value [(V,Cr,Fe)/H]=-0.03. In order to understand the evolutionary status of the anomalous supergiant UUHer, the prototype of the class of variable supergiants located at high galactic latitudes, we obtained several high-resolution spectra of this star, with the 6m telescope, over 5 years. This material was used for a search of possible temporal variations of the radial velocity at the different depths in the photosphere and for studying the chemical composition. The average radial velocity Vr approximately 130 km/sec suggests that UUHer belongs to the old population of the Galaxy. No systematic dependence of the velocity on depth of the line formation layer or on ionization and excitation potential is observed. The radial velocity of the H_alpha absorption differs strongly from the average photospheric velocity. The iron abundance in the photosphere of UUHer is significantly lower than that of the Sun: [Fe/H]=-1.32. The enhancement of nitrogen relatively to iron content [N/Fe]=+0.40 in combination with the carbon underabundance [C/Fe]=-0.30 suggests that only a first dredge-up episode occurred. The Na content is normal relatively to iron, therefore there is no evidence for dredging-up of Ne-Na cycle products. Aims. We present the results of high-resolution optical spectroscopy, low-resolution near-IR spectroscopy and near-infrared speckle interferometry of the massive young stellar object candidate V645 Cyg that were taken in order to refine its fundamental parameters and properties of its circumstellar envelope. Methods. Speckle interferometry in the H- and K-bands and an optical spectrum in the range 5200-6680 A with a spectral resolving power of R = 60000 were obtained at the 6 m telescope of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Another optical spectrum in the range 4300-10500 A with R = 79000 was obtained at the 3.6m CFHT. A low-resolution spectrum in the ranges 0.46-1.4 and 1.4-2.5 microns with a R approx. 800 and approx. 700, respectively, were obtained at the 3m Shain telescope of the Lick Observatory. Results. Using a new kinematic method based on non-linear modeling of the neutral hydrogen density profile in the direction toward the object, we suggest a new a distance D = 4.2+/-0.2 kpc. We also suggest a new estimate for the star's effective temperature, T(sub eff) approx. 25000 K. We have resolved the object in both H- and K-bands. Using a two-component ring fit, we derived a compact component size of 18 mas and 15 mas in the H- and K-band, respectively, which correspond to 37 and 33 AU at the new distance. Analysis of our and previously published data shows a approx. 2 mag drop of the near-infrared brightness of V645 Cyg in the beginning of the 1980 s. At the same time, the cometary nebular condensation N1 seems to fade in this wavelength range with respect to the N0 object, which represent the star with a nearly pole-on optically-thick disk and an optically-thin envelope. Conclusions. We conclude that V645 Cyg is a young massive main-sequence star, which recently emerged from its cocoon. and already passed the protostellar accretion stage. The presence of accretion is not necessary to account for the high observed luminosity of (2.6) x 10(exp 4) Solar Mass/yr. The receding part of a strong, mostly uniform outflow with a terminal velocity of approx.800 km/s is only blocked from view far from the star, where forbidden lines form. The near-infrared size of the source is consistent with the dust sublimation distance near this hot and luminous star and is the largest among young stellar objects observed interferometrically to-date.
