This article aims to analyse the impact of the pandemic of coronavirus diseaseamong health workers and how their unions react to the pandemic situation in Brazil. The pandemic exposes the historic fragility of public health services, affected by the cuts of public expenditure that reduced the number of hired professionals and also their work stability. In view of the urgent health situation, health workers were even more vulnerable to illness and death. Health unions reacted. In addition of being active and supportive, the trade unions conduct unitary actions, going beyond the limits of the struggle itself, and politicizing the trade union struggle during the Covid-19 pandemic. They carried out protests in defence of life, democracy and “Fora Bolsonaro” Movement. O objetivo deste artigo é analisar o impacto da pandemia entre profissionais de enfermagem e medicina e o modo como suas entidades sindicais reagem a partir da deflagração da pandemia da Covid-19 no Brasil. A pandemia trouxe à tona a histórica fragilidade dos serviços públicos de saúde, afetados pelos sucessivos cortes de gastos que levaram à redução de concursos públicos e do contingente de profissionais com vínculos estáveis. Diante da situação de urgência sanitária, os trabalhadores da saúde ficaram ainda mais vulneráveis ao adoecimento e morte. Os sindicatos da área da saúde reagiram. Além de ativas e solidárias, as entidades realizam ações unitárias, ultrapassam os limites da luta propriamente reivindicativa e politizam a luta sindical durante a pandemia. Realizaram atos em defesa da vida, da democracia e do movimento Fora Bolsonaro.
