The article reports on the therapeutic use of nano-sized particles of silver. According to the research conducted by the biomedical team of Banaras Hindu University and International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials in India, nano-sized grains of silver can keep blood platelet cells from bonding together, using mice as an animal experiment. However, biochemist Debabrata Dash states that the said research will be studied cautiously for potential toxic effects.
