Tallo River is one of the rivers running through Makassar city and its main function is for the sustainability of tourism areas, residential areas, trade purposes, and also as a primary drainage system. Conservation activities may lead to the reduction of floras that has ecology and economic functions, as well as endemic species in the area. This study aims to identify and understand the diversity of floras with economic functions in Lakkang Delta, and to recommend several actions to manage them. Data collection was conducted with a cruising method. The study found 52 species, within 28 families, used in dominant land usage, i.e. residential area, fish ponds, and mixed farms. Identified floras have various economic functions, i.e. medicinal purposes, as food, as poison, timber, and charcoal resources. In general, the studied floras are transitional vegetations in the mangrove ecosystem. This shows the high level of conservation activities in the area. The recommended rehabilitation actions are to spruce up the riverbanks by mangrove rehabilitation, pushing down the population growth or migration into Lakkang Delta, and alter the paddy fields into marine cultural tourism area.

This study aims to analyze the biodiversity and potential of some bamboo species in Sereale District, North Toraja Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia, was done from January-May 2012 in location Sereale District, North Toraja Regency. The inventory of bamboo spesies growth was made by using the cruise method and identification of bamboo by using descriptive. The results showed that bamboo six species are Talang bamboo Schizostachyum brachycladum Kurz.; Toi bamboo S. lima (Blanco) Merr.; Pattung bamboo Dendrocalamus asper (Schult.f.) Backer.ex Heyne.; Ao??? bamboo Gigantochloa apus (Bl. Ex Schult.f.) Kurz.; Parring bamboo G. atter (Hassk.) Kurz ex Munro.; and Yellow bamboo Bambusa vulgaris Schrad.The potential of bamboo as the highest capacity of CO2 absorption, herbal drugs, handicraft, and vegetable.

The research is aimed to know the biodiversity of comparative leaf stomatal type of regreening trees in locations A.P. Pettarani street and Industrial Estate on Makassar City, was done from September-November 2011 in locations A.P. Pettarani street and Industrial Estate. The Method used is based analyze of stomatal to rub aceton a surface of the leaf. Analysed leaf stomatal by using descriptive. The results showed that stomatal paracytic type (Swietenia macrophylla King. and Polyalthia longifolia Bent&Hook. var. pendula) and phanerophor. Wodyetia bifurcata Irvine and Bambusa vulgaris Schrad. var. vitata A&C Rivieria is longitudinal arrangement of stomatal and Cryptophor. The highest density of stomatal on the leaf Swietenia macrophylla King. of 877 stomatal mm-2 and the lowest of density of stomatal on the leaf Wodyetia bifurcata Irvine of 184 stomatal mm-2 on location Makassar Industrial Estate.
