Abstract

The article provides information on the occurrence and geographic distribution map of amphibia, anura, hylidae, phyllomedusinae, Phyllomedusa azurea in the state of Rondônia in southwestern Brazil. It highlights the first record of P. azurea that was obtained in the state, within a transitional region between the Cerrado and the Amazonian forest biomes. It also outlines the known distribution range of the species, within the localities that it existed. Based on the research findings determined by the authors, they conclude on the distribution extension of P. azurea for the Amazonian biome in a transitional area with the Cerrado.
