Abstract

Using the data collected in the CoScience Project, https://osf.io/9vjqd/, we aim to (conceptually) replicate and extend a previous study by Dreszer et al. (2020), https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1002/hbm.25162. The base study investigates the relationship of fluid intelligence (gf) with resting-state EEG (rsEEG) complexity over different timescales and different electrodes. Furthermore, an analysis of the stability of mMSE variables between different time points of EEG measurement within the same session as well as between eyes-closed and eyes-open measurements will supplement the current study. In the attached document the specific research background, the hypotheses, applied operationalization as well as data preprocessing and analysis strategy is outlined.
