The Belgian Blue (BB) cattle breed has been well-known for double muscling. The importation of BB cattle is mainly to increase beef production. A study was done to analyze birth weight and body measurements of newborn crossbred BB calves. Data were collected from Cattle Breeding Centre (Baturaden, Padangmangatas and Sembawa) and Livestock Embryo Centre (Cipelang). The crossbred BB calves were produced by crossing of BB bull and some breed cows (Ongole grade, Friesian Holstein, Simental, Brahman, and Limousine) through artificial insemination. A total of 286 crossbred BB calves from five different crossbreds born in 2018-2019 were used in this study. Objective: Reproduction and nutritional status is closely related. Nutritional deficiency or insufficiency directly affects reproductive efficiency. Deficiency of nutrition could affect the sperm quality and the ability to fertilize. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of feed additive (Minoxvit) on semen quality of buck.Methods: This study used 6 sexually mature bucks, aged 1.5 years old. The bucks were fed daily with 3 kg of freshly chopped king grass, 1 kg of Legume (Calliandra sp.), and 500 g of concentrate. Three bucks were given Minoxvit by 1.25 g/day in the concentrate, while three other bucks were considered as control. Semen was evaluated once a week for 49 days. Semen was evaluated macroscopically and microscopically. The macroscopic evaluation consisted of volume, color, and consistency of semen, while microscopic evaluation consisted of mass motility, sperm motility, viability, and sperm concentration. Data were analyzed using Completely Randomized Design with Tukey test.Results: The result showed significantly different (P9 mL vs 1,7x109 mL).Conclusions: This study concludes that the addition of Minoxvit has a positive influence on the quality of buck sperms providing volume, mass motility, individual motility, viability, and concentration of the sperm.

Buffalo has a very big role to the family economy of stockbreeders. But until now, buffalo business in Banten Province is still small, and has not led to commercial business. The research was conducted in Cibarani Village, Cisata District, Pandeglang Regency, Banten in 2016. This study used interview and questionnaire filling methods to the 24 buffalo breeders. By accidental sampling, sampling of respondents was found in the cage, house, paddy field and fields. Primary data were obtained from stockbreeders and secondary data were obtained from the local institution. Primary and secondary data were analyzed descriptively, quantitatively, t-test analysis and economic analysis.
