Проблематика. Trametes versicolor – представник базидієвих грибів, біологічно активні сполуки якого застосовуються в медицині та промисловості, тому пошук активних продуцентів, здатних до росту на відходах промисловості, та вивчення нових способів інтенсифікації росту й синтезу метаболітів є актуальним завданням. Мета. Дослідження впливу екстрактів тирси букоцвітих на ріст, морфологічні характеристики та індукцію синтезу окисних ферментів макроміцетами виду T. versicolor у поверхневій культурі. Методи. Об’єктами досліджень були 5 штамів T. versicolor, які культивували на синтетичному агаризованому середовищі Норкранс на чашках Петрі. Вивчався вплив екстрактів тирси 3-х деревних порід, які виступали за основу для дослідних середовищ. Досліджувалися культуральні показники: розмір колонії, швидкість радіального росту, ростовий коефіцієнт; морфологічні характеристики макроміцетів і здатність екстрактів тирси букоцвітих до індукування синтезу окисних ферментів. Результати. Встановлено, що ріст на середовищах із додаванням екстракту тирси берези інтенсивніший, швидкість радіального росту становить 11,2–13,6 мм/добу, тоді як для буку та дубу коливається в межах 11,6­–13,1 та 11,5–12,6 мм/добу відповідно. Найбільше значення росту на всіх середовищах зафіксовано для T. versicolor 353. Значення ростового коефіцієнта на середовищі з екстрактами тирси берези варіювало в проміжку 15,8–92,1, буку – 19,4–46,1, дубу – 15,5–46,7 і було найбільшим при культивуванні T. versicolor 5299. Екстракти буку та дубу інтенсифікували синтез лаккази, пероксидази і тирозинази, що особливо виражено у T. versicolor 353, тому його було вибрано для проведення подальших експериментів у глибинній культурі. Висновки. Для підвищення накопичення біомаси T. versicolor можна використовувати екстракти тирси берези, буку та дубу, а для інтенсифікації синтезу ферментів оксидазного типу – екстракти тирси буку та дубу.

Вивчено морфологічну будову та васкулярну анатомію квітки Hymenocallis littoralis. Вияв-лено нові морфологічні ознаки вертикальної зональності гінецею та васкулярної анатомії квітки, які раніше не використовувались у систематиці родини Amaryllidaceae. Мікроморфологічні препарати 10 квіток Hymenocallis littoralis виготовили, використовуючи стандартні методи просочення рослинного матеріалу па-рафіном. Були виготовлені зрізи завтовшки 15-20 мкм за допомогою ротаційного мікротома. Зрізи фарбу-вали Сафраніном та Астра-Блау й приклеювали Еукіттом. Ми встановили наявність двох вертикальних зон у гінецеї Hymenocallis littoralis: короткої симплікатної та дуже довгої гемісимплікатної. Мікроморфологію та васкулярну анатомію квітки вивчали за допомогою поперечних зрізів квітів. Квітконіжка Hymenocallis littoralis має провідний циліндр при основі, який вище дає початок дорзальним та септальним пучкам плодолистка, які вище об’єднуються з парними вентральними пучками плодолистка, утворюючи дорзальну жилку. Слід насінного зачатка однопучковий. Сліди дорзальних і септальних пучків плодолистка трипучковий. Сліди ти-чинок однопучкові. Септальні і дорзальні пучки плодолистка дають початок слідам зовнішніх і внутрішніх листочкам оцвітини, а вони – слідам тичинок. Нові дані допомогли поглибити знання про морфологію та васкулярну анатомію квітки Hymenocallis littoralis та допоможуть порівняти отримані морфологічні й анато-мічні особливості з ознаками, вивченими раніше для представників родини Amaryllidaceae, для подальшого їх використання в систематиці.

Cyrtanthus elatus – ендемік флори Південної Африки, південних прибережних гір від півночі міста Моссел-Бей у Західній Капській провінції до міста Гумансдорпа у Східній Капській провінції. Він трапляється в колоніях на суглинистих, кислих ґрунтах на вологих схилах, що виходять на південь, при повному сонці чи легкій тіні. Цвітіння посилюється в період кущових пожеж. Рослини C. elatus швидко розвиваються влітку, вічнозелені, нові листки з’являються незабаром після пожеж та цвітіння, що проходять у будь-який час з кінця весни до середини осені. Він включає чіткі форми росту, деякі з них характеризуються швидким розмноженням цибулин і нестабільним цвітінням, принаймні під час вирощування, а інші цвітуть рясно і менш схильні до вегетативного розмноження. У відділку тропічних і субтропічних рослин Волинського національного університету імені Лесі Українки перші колекці C. elatus (Amaryllidaceae) з’явилися у 2008 році. Фенологічні спостереження показали, що рослини C. elatus вступають до генеративного періоду у віці 2-3 років. Досліджені морфологічні особливості квіток і плодів C. elatus в умовах культури. Коли рослини досягли генеративного онтогенетичного стану, проводили облік термінів і тривалості цвітіння. Під час цвітіння рослин проводили штучне запилення, для якісного утворення плодів. Модельні рослини цвітуть 16-20 днів та мають у суцвітті 4-5 квіток, кожна з них у середньому цвіте 3-4 дні. Проведено фенологічні спостереження за цвітінням квітки та дозріванням плодів. Вивчено морфологію квіток, зокрема гінецею та андроцею. Пилок зберігає 100% життєздатність та міститься у пиляках у великій кількості. Плід – ягодоподібна коробочка еліпсоїдної форми, довжиною 37-39 мм, насінини 7-8 мм завдовжки, плоскі, чорного кольору з крилатим виростом. Морфологічні особливості квітки, велика кількість пилку є пристосуванням до комах запилювачів.

Актуальність. Проблема низької ефективності відновлення пошкодженого периферійного нерва пов’язана з тривалою регенерацією нервових волокон та пізньою реіннервацією. Застосування аутологічного пунктату кісткового мозку пропонується для трофічної підтримки та стимуляції дистального нерва на шляху проростання нервових волокон. Мета: дослідити вплив аспірату кісткового мозку на регенерацію пошкодженого сідничого нерва при одночасному та відтермінованому введенні. Методи. Кроликам моделювали повну нейротомію та накладали два шва нерва по типу кінець-в-кінець. У групі 1 лише звивали нерв, у групі 2 додатково вводили аутологічнийпунктат кісткового мозку, у групі 3 пунктат вводили через 7 тижнів після шва нерва. Гістологічними та морфометричними методами оцінювали регенерацію нерва на рівні шва нерва і через 5-6 см через 8, 12 і 18 тижнів після операції. Результати. У групі 1, 2 і 3 через 8 тижнів регенерував нерв у дистальний сегмент на рівні 20,8%, 33,3% і 41,6%; через 12 тижнів - 41,6%, 72,9% і 75,0%; через 18 тижнів - 47,9%, 77,1% і 72,9%. Регенерація достовірно зростала у термін 8-18 тижнів у нервах групи 1, а у групі 2 і 3 відновлення було достовірно швидшим, але щільність нервових волокон не досягала значень у нервах псевдооперованих тварин. Висновки. Застосування аутологічногопунктату кісткового мозку стимулює регенерацію хірургічно відновленого сідничогонерва, збільшуючи щільність регенерації нервових волокон та їх мієлінізацію. Введення пунктату безпосередньо після травми стимулює відновні процеси у більшій мірі, ніж при відтермінованому введенні, але різницю виявлено тільки на ранніх етапах відновлення.

Представником флори Південної Африки, тропічних і субтропічних рослин агростанції Східноєвропейського національного університету імені Лесі Українки є Clivia miniata (Lindl.) Verschaff. (Amaryllidaceae). Перші колекції цієї рослини з’явилися на агростанції у 2009 році. Представники цього виду поширені у гірських районах Південної Африки, зокрема у Східно-капській, Мпумала́нгській та Квазу́лу-Ната́льській провінціях. Рослини цього роду – кореневищні трави з цупкими, завжди зеленими листками. Фенологічні спостереження показали, що рослини Clivia miniata вступають до генеративного періоду вже у віці 2-3 років. Досліджені морфологічні особливості квіток, плодів і насінин Clivia miniata в умовах культури. Показано наявність великої кількості насінних зачатків у зав’язі. Проведено фенологічні спостереження за цвітінням квітки та дозріванням плодів. Вивчено морфологію квіток, зокрема гінецею та андроцею. Пилок наявний у пиляках у великій кількості і зберігає 100% життєздатність навіть після опадання квітки, яка опадає разом зі стовпчиком. Плід – ягодоподібна коробочка, яка розривається з середини, тому що насінини проростають у ній, насінини поодинокі, тверді, кольору слонової кістки. Плоди дозрівають за 60-70 діб та утворюють насіння, здатне проростати в умовах нашого клімату. Морфологічні особливості квітки, велика кількість пилку є пристосуванням до комах запилювачів.

Вивчення клітинного складу селезінки тварин є однією з основних характеристик для оцінки морфофункціонального стану органа. Мета нашої статті – установлення особливостей клітинного складу паренхіми селезінки ссавців та щільності розміщення в ній лімфоцитів. Для дослідження відбирали селезінку у тварин: вівці, свині, коня, великої рогатої худоби, кроля – у фазі морфофункціональної зрілості органа. Його шматочки фіксували в 10–12 % формаліні, промивали, зневоднювали, заливали в парафін, фарбували гематоксиліном Ерліха й еозином та за методоми Браше; для електронномікроскопічного дослідження шматочки селезінки фіксували 2,5 % розчином глютарового альдегіду, зневоднювали, заливали в суміш епон-аралдит. Вираховували коефіцієнт заселеності лімфоцитами білої й червоної пульп. Клітинний склад білої пульпи селезінки ссавців представлений лімфоцитами, макрофагами, які становили до 90 % від загальної кількості цитопопуляції, до 1,3 % нараховувалося клітин з ознаками деструкції. Серед лімфоцитів домінували малі, значна кількість – середні лімфоцити й найменше було великих лімфоцитів. Найбільше малих лімфоцитів серед досліджуваних тварин міститься в білій пульпі селезінки кроля (68,12 %), найменше – серед досліджуваних ссавців – у коня (50,87 %). Середніх лімфоцитів виявлялося значно менше: від 16,70 % (велика рогата худоба) до 24,19 % (кінь). Найменше в цитопопуляції клітин виявлено великих лімфоцитів і макрофагів, кількість яких не перевищувала 1,5 % від загальної чисельності клітин БП селезінки: найбільше макрофагів виявили в білій пульпі селезінки кроля (1,53 %), великих лімфоцитів – у вівці (1,43 %). Коефіцієнт заселеності лімфоцитами пульпи селезінки кроля становить 1,41; вівці – 1,32; свині – 1,39; коня – 1,52 та 1,43 – у великої рогатої худоби. Перспективними вважаємо дослідження з вивчення цитопопуляцій селезінки інших представників хребетних тварин у порівняльно-еволюційному аспекті.

Криоконсервирование ооцитов приобретает все большую актуальность в программах вспомогательных репродуктивных технологий, поскольку позволяет избежать этических и правовых проблем, связанных с криоконсервированием эмбрионов. В работе проведено изучение морфологических параметров ооцитов и их влияние на эффективность криоконсервирования. В работе показано, что при выявленной широкой вариабельности морфологии ооцитов, оценка и отбор наиболее перспективного клеточного материала перед замораживанием может проводиться с использованием качественных морфологических критериев, поскольку обнаружена взаимосвязь между этими критериями и успешностью криоконсервирования. Качественными параметрами выбора криорезистентных ооцитов являются: состояние первого полярного тела, Zona pellucida и цитоплазмы. Предложенные критерии оценки морфофункционального состояния ооцитов перед криоконсервированием способствуют повышению результативности лечения бесплодия методом экстракорпорального оплодотворения.

Background. Child’s dental caries is one of the most topical problems in practical dentistry. In case of neglecting of prevention and treatment it can lead not only to local complications, but also to systemic processes. Many studies have shown the dependence of tooth tissue destruction on changing the properties of oral fluid. Therefore the problem of salivary glands pathomorphology and function are regarded as promising directions for further fundamental research. Objective. According to this, the aim of the study was an experimental investigation of the effect of intrauterine growth retardation on the structural remodeling of the parotid salivary gland. Methods. Parotid glands of 65 newborn rats, including 35 animals with signs of IUGR and 30 controls born after physiological pregnancy were the material of the study. Tissue samples of parotid glands were studied microscopically. The differences were analyzed by methods of mathematical statistics; data were compared with controls by Student’s t-test. Results revealed the reduction of the number and size of the parotid gland’s lobules with a concomitant stromal connective tissue proliferation. The vessels were hyperemic. There were also perivascular foci of stromal edema. Glandular acini had some features of the degenerative changes of epitheliocytes – sign of hydropic dystrophy. Morphometric study of the structural organization of the parotid glands of the newborn rat in case of IUGR defined the reduction in parenchymal VF to 25,00 ± 6,96% and increases VF of the stroma to 35,67 ± 4,29% (in controls - 51,72 ± 7,04 and 23,70 ± 3,25%, P

Background. Hypoxia of fetus and newborn is one of the actual problems of neonatology. The urinary system is one of the most susceptible to the adverse effects of hypoxia. Objective: to identify the morphological features of the glomerular apparatus of kidneys in fetuses and newborns at modeling different types of hypoxia. Methods. In this study chronic intrauterine hypoxia, acute postnatal hypoxia and mixed hypoxia were modeled on rats. Histological and morphometrical methods of investigation were used. The slides were studied on the microscope «Olympus BX-41». Digital data were processed using statistical methods of investigation. Results. Chronic intrauterine hypoxia and mixed hypoxia lead to a decrease of the glomeruli number in kidneys of fetuses and newborns and slowdown of the maturation of the glomeruli. Acute postnatal hypoxia does not affect the number of glomeruli in kidneys of fetuses and newborns. Conclusion. Quantitative changes of the glomerular apparatus of the kidneys in fetuses and newborns arising as a result of negative effect of chronic intrauterine and mixed hypoxia can lead in future to the development of various nephrology pathology in such children.

Background. The study of the clinical anatomy and functional features of the cortex, subcortical and conductive pathways of the cerebellum is necessary for clinicians for elaboration of rational surgical approaches to these formations, for determination the localization of pathological processes associated with these formations. In this article morphological features of the globose nucleus of the cerebellum were studied. Objective. The aim of this study is to investigate the morphological features of spherical nuclei of the cerebellum. Methods. The study was conducted at 340 specimens of the cerebellum of people aged from 20 to 99 years old. Macro- and microscopic, morphometric, histologic methods and methods of statistical analysis were used. Results. Individual variability in size of spherical nucleus considering the size of the cerebellar vermis was established. It determines the location of the border relatively to the median sagittal plane, topographic and anatomic particular location in relation to other nuclei of the cerebellum. Variantions of the nucleus were established. Conclusion. We have established dimensions of globose nucleus, its shape and location regarding the median-sagittal plane. The globose nucleus on the sections made in a horizontal plane has a bulk-rounded shape at 65,88% (224 cases). At 34,12% (116 cases) it consists of a cluster of different sizes` nuclei and it does not always correspond to the shape of the ball, since in this case it may be not only round, but also have an elongated oval outline in the longitudinal direction. The plate of its gray matter has small spherical winding cogs in the shape of wavy line.

Background. Neonols are known as ethoxylated phenol derivatives which have surfactant properties and adversely affect the structure and function of organs by changes in biochemical reactions in the body. Objective. The purpose of this study was the morphological characteristics of liver, kidneys, spleen, adrenal, lung, small intestine, stomach, pancreas, heart of rats under load with various doses of toxic phenol derivatives for a prolonged experiment. Methods. Tissues were fixed in neutral formalin, dehydrated in alcohol and embedded in paraffin. Staining of sections with hematoxylin and eosin was performed according to standard procedures. The 10 mkm sections of organs frozen in liquid nitrogen at a temperature of -196°C were prepared in a cryostat at -18 ° C. In these sections cytophotometric study determined dehydrogenase by tetrazolium salts. Results. It was found that at a dose of 1/1000 DL50 morphological changes in organs are not observed. The oral administration of aqueous solutions of phenol derivatives in doses of 1/10 and 1/100 DL50 caused pathological changes in liver morphology, kidney, spleen and adrenal glands. As a result of the long-term experiment the expanded pericapillary spaces of the liver, deformation of the kidney glomeruli, dilatation of lymphoid follicles of the spleen and enlargement of sinusoidal capillaries in adrenal glands were revealed. Histochemically phenol derivatives increased histological enzymatic activity in the liver, kidneys, adrenal glands, spleen or lead to a modification of activity in the structural units of the organ. Conclusion. The prolonged intoxication by phenol derivatives is critical factor for the development of disorders in structural integrity of tissues in liver, kidneys, spleen, adrenal glands and their further dysfunction.

Background. Integrated clinical and morphological studies of adipose tissue in overweight and obese patients with metabolic syndrome in order to identify its morphological and functional characteristics can help to improve current methods of treatment. Objective. The purpose of the study was to identify the histological, histochemical and morphometrical characteristics of adipose tissue in patients with overweight and metabolic syndrome. Methods. The material of this study was the autopsy and operational material – fat tissue of epiploon and subcutaneous fat tissue. The authors used histological, histochemical and morphometrical methods of investigation. Results. It was revealed that fat tissue of epiploon and subcutaneous fat tissue in patients with overweight and metabolic syndrome differed from the fat tissue of people with normal body weight by morphometrical parameters, fat content in the cytoplasm, sclerotic changes, circulatory disorders, the presence and character of inflammatory infiltration. Moreover fatty tissue has distinctive features depending on the location. Conclusion. Observed morphological features of white fat tissue of epiploon and subcutaneous fat tissue in patients with overweight and metabolic syndrome can be used by pathologists, histologists and other specialists in the scientific practice.

Background. Morphofunctional state of the thymus of child in most cases is directly dependent on the mother health and her lifestyle. Objective. The purpose of the research was to reveal the morphological features of stromal-vascular component of the thymus of stillborn children and children under one year of life born from women who conducted a sedentary lifestyle, smoked, drank alcohol and ate the foods containing tartrazine. Methods. The material of the study was 67 thymuses of stillborn children and children under one year of life born from mothers who conducted a sedentary lifestyle, smoked, drank alcohol and ate the foods containing tartrazine. Results. It was found that the above mentioned components of mother lifestyle are damaging factors for thymus of their children that lead to structural changes in the walls of microcirculatory blood vessels, circulatory disorders, sclerotic and atrophic changes in the organ. Structural changes in the vascular endothelium (swelling, desquamation), wall of the vessel (focal thickening of the basement membrane, thickening of the vessel wall), sclerotic and atrophic processes in the thymus increased with increasing age of the child. The severity of the circulatory disorders (vascular hyperemia, hemorrhage, edema, thrombus formation) decreased with increasing age of the child. Conclusion. An important step to prevent the structural changes in children from mothers with unhealthy lifestyles is pregravid preparation including conscious following the rules of healthy lifestyle, formation the moral responsibility and willingness to pregnancy.

Background. Since NSAIDS have some detrimental side effects, studying new combinations of NDAIDS with other substances could provide a reduction of the dosage of the NSAID while retaining therapeutic effectiveness. Objective. To study the effect of Diclocor on the cartilage morphology in the course of collagen-induced arthritis in rats in comparison with sodium diclofenac and quercetin. Methods. Autoimmune arthritis was reproduced by subcutaneous injections of type II collagen ("Sigma-Aldrich", USA). Morphological studies were performed using standard light microscopy techniques. Results. After treatment with both Diclocor and diclofenac sodium no cartilage destruction was oberved and tissue hyperplasia was low. Some residual effects were observed in the synovial membranes in the Diclocor group, and in periarticular tissues – in the diclofenac sodium group. Under the action of quercetin, there was a sufficiently high level of hyperplastic processes and pannus formation in sinovium. Conclusion. Diclocor and diclofenac sodium express a profound normalizing effect, while Quercetin is less active.

Background. According to present views proliferation and apoptosis plays an important role in the mechanisms of placenta formation, particularly in process of vasculogenesis that begins on the third week of pregnancy. Objective: To investigate the immunohistochemical features of chorion and endometrium in women with early pregnancy losses. Methods. 98 samples of abortive and surgical material in pregnant women in terms of 4-10 weeks of pregnancy were analyzed. 48 samples were obtained from women with missed abortion (1st group), 20 samples from women with spontaneous abortion (2nd group); 20 samples from women with tubal pregnancy (3rd group); 10 samples from pregnant women with normal singleton pregnancy, after medical abortion on their own wish (control group). Histological, histochemical and immunohistochemical methods were used. Monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) to Ki-67 and bcl-2 were applied. Results. Pathological picture of spontaneous abortion is characterized by the dominance of violation of blood circulation, presence of significant foci of hemorrhage occurring parallel with a pronounced disruption of apoptosis and proliferation in chorionic villi and decidual tissue, leading to the detachment of placenta. Conclusion. In 75% of cases of tubal pregnancy ectopic cytotrophoblast invasion is caused by prominent changes in the structure of the fallopian tube. First of all due to the inflammatory process and a sharp reduction of proliferation in the basal chorion and parietal deciduitis in 65% of cases.

Background. Acetaminophen is known as inducer of acute hepatotoxicity. Extrahepatic manifestations of acetaminophen toxicity are poorly understood in particular its nephrotoxicity. Objective. The purpose of this study was the morphological characteristic of rat kidneys under the conditions of acetaminophen-induced nephrotoxicity on the background of alimentary deprivation of protein. Methods. Аfter administration of the toxic dose of acetaminophen and maintenance of rats on a different regimen of protein nutrition their kidneys were sectioned and stained with hematoxylin and eosin according to a standard technique. Results. It was estimated, that in rats maintained during long period of time under the conditions of alimentary deprivation of protein, and in rats injected with toxic dose of acetaminophen morphological changes of kidney were not observed. Administration of acetaminophen on the background of previous protein deficiency causes the pathological changes of kidney morphology with papillary necrosis as a key sign. Conclusion. Alimentary deprivation of protein in case of acetaminophen injection is the critical factor for the impairment of structural integrity of kidney tissue with its subsequent dysfunction.
