Abstract: NA62 is a fixed target kaon experiment at the CERN SPS which aims at measuring the branching ratio of the $K^+\to\pi^+\nu\bar{\nu}$ decay with 10% precision. This ultra-rare kaon decay is theoretically extremely clean and an ideal place to look for physics beyond the Standard Model. The NA62 experiment has been running in 2016-2018 and has accumulated a large amount of kaon decays. The final result of the $K^+\to\pi^+\nu\bar{\nu}$ analysis using the 2016 dataset is discussed as well as prospects for the analysis of the 2017 dataset. NA62 also has sensitivity to various other rare and forbidden kaon decays, as well as some hidden sector models. Abstract: The search for an invisible vector boson from $\pi^0$ decays at the NA62 experiment at CERN Super Proton Syncrotron (SPS) is discussed. Within the proposed models for physics beyond the SM, hidden sectors consisting of new, light, weakly-coupled particles are a particularly compelling possibility. Thanks to the high beam intensity, the extremely good performance of the photon detection systems, particle identification system and the detectors timing, NA62 is suited to search for these new particles. Here the search for a dark photon from $\pi^0$ decays using the $k^{+}\rightarrow \pi^+\pi ^0$, $\pi^0\rightarrow A^1\gamma$ decay chain is illustrated. The result from the analysis of a sub-sample of 2016 data is reported, corresponding to 1% of the full statistics collected in 2016-2018. A new upper limit on the $\pi^0\rightarrow A^1\gamma$ branching ratio has been set as a function of the dark photon mass, thus producing a new upper limit on the dark photon coupling parameter.

Abstract: The decay $ {K^ + } \to {\pi ^ + }v\bar v $, with a very precisely predicted branching ratio of less than 10−10 in the Standard Model framework, is one of the best candidates to reveal indirect effects of new physics at the highest mass scales. The NA62 experiment at CERN SPS is designed to measure the branching ratio of such decay with a decay-in-flight technique, novel for this channel. The main goal of NA62 is to measure such Branching Ratio of $ {K^ + } \to {\pi ^ + }v\bar v $ with an accuracy better than 20%. This will be achieved by collecting up to 100 $ {K^ + } \to {\pi ^ + }v\bar v $ events with a background contamination at the level of 10%. The NA62 detector was commissioned in 2014 and 2015 and the experiment took physics data from 2015 to 2018. NA62 has already published the result of the 2016 data analysis. The 2017 data analysis is in progress, the single event sensitivity reached and the evaluation of the main backgrounds will be shown in this contribution.

Abstract: The NA62 experiment at CERN Super Proton Synchrotron was designed to measure BR(K+ → π+νv¯) with an in-fight technique, never used before for this measurement. This decay is characterised by a very precise prediction in the Standard Model. Its branching ratio, which is expected to be less than 10−10, is one of the best candidates to indicate indirect effects of new physics beyond SM at the highest mass scales. NA62 result on K+ → π+νv¯ from the full 2016 data set is described.Also a search for an invisible dark photon A′ has been performed, exploiting the efficient photon-veto capability and high resolution tracking of the NA62. The signal stems from the chain K+ → π+π0 followed by π0 → A′γ. No significant statistical excess has been identified. Upper limits on the dark photon coupling to the ordinary photon as a function of the dark photon mass have been set, improving on the previous limits over the mass range 60 - 110 MeV/c2.

The NA62 experiment at the CERN SPS is designed to measure the branching ratio of the $K^{+} \rightarrow \pi^{+} v \overline{v}$ with a decay-in-flight technique. NA62 took data so far in 2016-2018. Statistics collected in 2016 allowed NA62 to reach the Standard Model sensitivity for $K^{+} \rightarrow \pi^{+} v \overline{v}$, entering the domain of $10^{-10}$ single event sensitivity and showing the proof of principle of the experiment. Thanks to the statistics collected in 2017, NA62 surpasses the present best sensitivity. The analysis strategy is reviewed and the preliminary result from the 2017 data set is presented.The NA62 experiment at CERN collected a large sample of charged kaon decays into final states with multiple charged particles in 2016-2018. The sensitivity to a range of lepton flavour and lepton number violating kaon decays provided by this data set improves over the previously reported measurements. Results from the searches for these processes with a partial NA62 data sample are presented.

The NA62 experiment is designed to measure BR ( K + &rarr, ) with a decay-in-flight technique, novel for this channel. NA62 took data in 2016, 2017 and 2018, statistics collected in 2016 allows NA62 to reach the SM sensitivity for this decay, reaching the single event sensitivity (SES) and showing the proof of principle of the experiment. The preliminary result on BR ( K + &rarr, ) from the analysis of the 2016 data set is described.

Abstract: $K^+ \rightarrow \pi^+ \nu \bar{\nu}$ is one of the theoretically cleanest meson decay where to look for indirect effects of new physics complementary to LHC searches. The NA62 experiment at CERN SPS is designed to measure the branching ratio of the $K^+ \rightarrow \pi^+ \nu \bar{\nu}$ decay with 10\% precision. NA62 took data in 2015 and 2016 reaching the Standard Model sensitivity. The experiment will be reviewed, and recent results and prospects will be presented, also on heavy neutrinos limits.

Abstract: The K+ → π+νν decay is characterised by a very precise prediction in the Standard Model (SM). Its branching ratio, which is expected to be less than 10−10 is one of the best candidates to indicate indirect effects of new physics beyond SM at the highest mass scales. The NA62 experiment at CERN SPS is designed to measure the branching ratio of the K+ → π+νν decay with an in-fight technique, never used before for this measurement. NA62 is taking data since in 2016 with the goal to reach the SM sensitivity, an accuracy of the order of 10%. In 2017 it has then collected 10 times more statistics and a similar amount of data is expected from the 2018 run. The preliminary result on K+ → π+νν from the full 2016 data set and prospects for future developments are presented.

Abstract: The precise measurement of the branching ratio of an ultrarare decay K+ → π+vv¯ (~10-10 according to the calculation within the Standard Model) allows to probe New Physics via indirect effects at mass scales higher than those accessible at the LHC. The NA62 experiment at the CERN SPS is aimed at measuring this branching ratio with the 10% precision. To achieve such level of precision, a novel decay-in-flight technique is used. The statistics collected during the first NA62 physics run in 2016 allowed to demonstrate the proof of the experimental method and obtain O(10-10) single event sensitivity. The preliminary results based on the 2016 data set are described.

Abstract: The NA62 experiment at CERN SPS is aimed to measure the branching ratio of the ultra-rare decay $K^+\rightarrow\pi^+ \nu \bar{\nu}$ with 10\% accuracy. The experiment operates with a 75 GeV/c high intensity (750 MHz) secondary beam. A new detector, named Charged Particle Hodoscope (CHOD), designed to produce an input signal to the L0 trigger processor for events with charged particles produced in kaon decays, has been assembled, installed, integrated in NA62 Data Acquisition System (DAQ) and commissioned in 2016. Abstract: The $\pi\nu\nu$ is one of the theoretically cleanest meson decay where to look for indirect effects of new physics complementary to LHC searches. The NA62 experiment at CERN SPS is designed to measure the branching ratio of the $K^+\rightarrow\pi^+\nu\bar{\nu}$ decay with 10\% precision. NA62 took data in 2015 and 2016 reaching the Standard Model sensitivity. The KOTO experiment in Japan is investigating the decay $K_L\rightarrow\pi^0\nu\bar{\nu}$ reaching a higher background suppression. Both experiments are reviewed, and recent results and prospects are summarised.

Abstract: The NA62 experiment at CERN SPS designed to measure the branching ratio of the ultra-rare $K^+ \rightarrow \pi^+ \nu \bar{\nu}$ decay using a decay-in-flight technique, collected data from 2016 to 2018. The analysis of the full 2018 data set is presented here, corresponding to a total number of kaon decays of about $2.62\times10^{12}$ , the largest data set so far collected. The combination with 2016-2017 data set is also reported. In addition the latest results from other searches are briefly presented.

Abstract: A sample of 2.8 × 104K+ → π+μ+μ− candidates with negligible background was collected by the NA62 experiment at the CERN SPS in 2017–2018. The model-independent branching fraction is measured to be (9.15 ± 0.08) × 10−8, a factor three more precise than previous measurements. The decay form factor is presented as a function of the squared dimuon mass. A measurement of the form factor parameters and their uncertainties is performed using a description based on Chiral Perturbation Theory at $$ \mathcal{O} $$ O (p6).

Abstract: A search for the $K^+ \to \pi^+ X$ decay, where $X$ is a long-lived feebly interacting particle, is performed through an interpretation of the $K^+ \to \pi^+ \nu \bar\nu$ analysis of data collected in 2017 by the NA62 experiment at CERN. Two ranges of $X$ masses, $0-110$ MeV/$c^2$ and $154-260$ MeV/$c^2$, and lifetimes above 100 ps are considered. The limits set on the branching ratio, BR($K^+ \to \pi^+ X$), are competitive with previously reported searches in the first mass range, and improve on current limits in the second mass range by more than an order of magnitude. Abstract: Journal of high energy physics 02(2), 201 (2021). doi:10.1007/JHEP02(2021)201, The NA62 experiment at the CERN SPS reports a study of a sample of $4 \times10^{9}$ tagged $\pi^0$ mesons from $K^+ \to \pi^+ \pi^0 (\gamma)$, searching for the decay of the $\pi^0$ to invisible particles. No signal is observed in excess of the expected background fluctuations. An upper limit of $4.4 \times10^{-9}$ is set on the branching ratio at 90% confidence level, improving on previous results by a factor of 60. This result can also be interpreted as a model-independent upper limit on the branching ratio for the decay $K^+ \to \pi^+ X$, where $X$ is a particle escaping detection with mass in the range 0.110-0.155 GeV$/c^2$ and rest lifetime greater than 100 ps. Model-dependent upper limits are obtained assuming $X$ to be an axion-like particle with dominant fermion couplings or a dark scalar mixing with the Standard Model Higgs boson., Published by SISSA, [Trieste]

Abstract: The NA62 experiment at CERN reports searches for $K^+\to\mu^+N$ and $K^+\to\mu^+\nu X$ decays, where $N$ and $X$ are massive invisible particles, using the 2016-2018 data set. The $N$ particle is assumed to be a heavy neutral lepton, and the results are expressed as upper limits of ${\cal O}(10^{-8})$ of the neutrino mixing parameter $|U_{\mu4}|^2$ for $N$ masses in the range 200-384 MeV/$c^2$ and lifetime exceeding 50 ns. The $X$ particle is considered a scalar or vector hidden sector mediator decaying to an invisible final state, and upper limits of the decay branching fraction for $X$ masses in the range 10-370 MeV/$c^2$ are reported for the first time, ranging from ${\cal O}(10^{-5})$ to ${\cal O}(10^{-7})$. An improved upper limit of $1.0\times 10^{-6}$ is established at 90% CL on the $K^+\to\mu^+\nu\nu\bar\nu$ branching fraction., Comment: Updated version published as Phys.Lett. B816 (2021) 136259
