To the editor, We read with interest the recently published article titled, "Effectiveness of palliative care consultation service on caregiver burden over time between terminally ill cancer and non-cancer family caregivers" by Wu et al. [[1]]. In this article, the authors concluded that palliative care consultation service can ameliorate the family caregiver burden (FCB) among both cancer family caregivers (CFC) and non-cancer family caregivers (NCFC) [[1]]. Moreover, the authors showed that palliative care consultation service should be used for reducing the caregiver burden of the family caregivers of terminally ill patients [[1]]. To the editor, We read with interest the recently published article titled, "The relationship between the positive aspects of caring and the personal growth of caregivers of patients with advanced oncological illness: Posttraumatic growth and caregiver" by Palacio and Limonero [[1]]. Moreover, the author indicated that compared to Caucasian caregivers, African American caregivers showed high positive aspects such as caregivers' subjectively perceived gains [[4]]. Emotional distress and caregiver burden of negative aspects are similar factors, and caregiver burden is a factor that increases depression among caregivers of cancer patients [[6]]. To the editor, We have read with interest the recently published article titled, "Validation of two short versions of the Zarit Burden Interview in the palliative care setting: a questionnaire to assess the burden of informal caregivers" by Kühnel et al. [[1]]. In this article, the authors concluded that the Zarit Burden Interview-7 (ZBI-7) was a good instrument for measuring caregiver burden in palliative care [[1]]. Therefore, we are interested in the full score ZBI scale and the relationship between full ZBI and ZBI-7 among caregivers of palliative care patients in Germany. [Extracted from the article]

It is noteworthy that Connors et al found around half of caregivers to display clinically significant levels of caregiver burden, with the proportion impacted increasing steadily over the 3-year period.[1] Previous longitudinal studies among caregivers of persons with dementia also found mean caregiver burden scores to increase from baseline over 36 months.[[2]] Moreover, Reed et al[2] showed that caregiver burden tended to increase every 6 months. Few previous studies have assessed caregiver burden and individual neuropsychiatric symptoms using longitudinal data among caregivers of patients with dementia.
