With pollutants contaminating every environ at a greater-than-ever rate and the world rallying to meet it head-on, it is important that modern technology to be leveraged to play various roles for the cause to further improve the efficacy of global efforts. Quantitative and qualitative assessment and monitoring of pollution in different environs is one such key role that provides us with crucial data to understand the effects of pollution in various environs and allows us to plan and assess the effectiveness of potential mitigation efforts and chart a way toward a future of sustainable development. It also enables the stakeholders to take informed overarching decisions on a global scale and, at the same time, provides valuable data-sets for various kinds of studies which further cement our understanding of the innumerable phenomena involved from fresh and revolutionary perspectives.
