Voltage loading-induced change in the electroluminescence (EL) wavelength of mixed halide perovskite light-emitting diodes (PeLEDs), so-called color-shift, has become an inevitable phenomenon, which is seriously unfavorable to their applications in lighting and display. Here, we achieve color-stable blue PeLEDs via a hydrogen-bonded amine-group doping strategy. Selecting guanidine (GA) or formamidinium (FA) as amine-group (−NH2) doping source for CsPbBrxCl3−x quantum dots (QDs), experimental and theoretical results reveal that the strong N−H⋯X (X = Br/Cl) bonding can be produced between −NH2 dopants and Pb−X lattices, thereby increasing the migration barrier of halide anions. Resultantly, color-stable sky-blue devices were realized with emission peaks fixed at 490.5 (GA) and 492.5 (FA) nm without any obvious shift as the voltage increases, in sharp contrast devices without N−H⋯X producing a 15 nm red-shift from 487 to 502 nm. Not only that, maximum external quantum efficiency is improved to 3.02% and 4.14% from the initial 1.3%. This finding offers a convenient boulevard to achieve color-stable PeLEDs with high efficiency.

Perovskite quantum-dot-based light-emitting diodes (QLEDs) possess the features of wide gamut and real color expression, which have been considered as candidates for high-quality lightings and displays. However, massive defects are prone to be reproduced during the quantum dot (QD) film assembly, which would sorely affect carrier injection, transportation and recombination, and finally degrade QLED performances. Here, we propose a bilateral passivation strategy through passivating both top and bottom interfaces of QD film with organic molecules, which has drastically enhanced the efficiency and stability of perovskite QLEDs. Various molecules were applied, and comparison experiments were conducted to verify the necessity of passivation on both interfaces. Eventually, the passivated device achieves a maximum external quantum efficiency (EQE) of 18.7% and current efficiency of 75 cd A−1. Moreover, the operational lifetime of QLEDs is enhanced by 20-fold, reaching 15.8 h. These findings highlight the importance of interface passivation for efficient and stable QD-based optoelectronic devices., Perovskite quantum-dots are promising candidates for light-emitting diodes but the defects limit the device performance. Here Xu et al. show a passivation strategy to reduce the defect density at both interfaces, which increases the external quantum efficiency (EQE) and lifetime by more than 2-fold and 20-fold, respectively.

Objective: To evaluate the effect of beinaglutide on weight loss and plasma protein patterns of inflammation/obesity relevant cytokines and biomarkers. Materials and methods: This study involved 36 adult patients with a body mass index (BMI) of ≥ 24 kg/m2 and T2DM. Beinaglutide was administered for three months. Changes in body weight, fasting plasma glucose (FPG) level, 2 h postprandial plasma glucose (2h-PG) level, glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) level, BMI and visceral and subcutaneous fat areas were measured at baseline and after three months of treatment. In addition, relevant inflammation/obesity cytokines and biomarkers were measured. Results: After three months, beinaglutide treatment led to significant changes, including in body weight, BMI, FPG level, HbA1c level, visceral and subcutaneous fat areas. In addition, serpin E1, leptin, C-reaction protein (CRP) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) also decreased significantly. The plasma protein concentrations of CRP (Log2 transformed) were found to be positively correlated with the percentage of weight loss (R = 0.514 and p-value = 0.021). Conclusion: Beinaglutide treatment resulted in weight loss, plasma glucose control and anti-inflammatory effects in patients with T2DM and overweight/obesity.

Perovskite based light‐emitting diodes (PeLEDs) have become a powerful candidate for next‐generation solid‐state lightings and high‐definition displays due to their high photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY), tunable emission wavelength over the visible spectrum, and narrow emission linewidths. Over the past few years, the development of red‐ and green‐emissive PeLEDs has rapidly increased, and the corresponding external quantum efficiencies (EQE) have exceeded 20%. However, the research progress of blue‐emitting PeLEDs is limited by its poor material quality and inappropriate device structure. Currently, the maximum EQE of blue PeLED is only 6.2%, which is far from the industrialization requirements. In order to promote the development of blue PeLEDs, we summarize the recent research progress of blue perovskite materials and LEDs and discuss several fatal challenges, mainly embodied in low efficiency and poor stability. In order to overcome these challenges, detailed analysis and strategies are put forward in terms of the materials and devices. For the former, we summarize the feasible strategy for the preparation of efficient and stable blue‐emissive perovskites using component engineering. For the latter, we analyze the advantages and limitations of the different strategies for blue‐emissive perovskite in LEDs. At the end of the review, a comprehensive outlook is detailed, including future development directions and several technical problems to be solved. Thus, we aim to highlight the significance and promote the industrialization of PeLEDs.

BACKGROUND: Pulmonary artery acceleration time (PAAT) is a reliable and non-invasive method for assessing pulmonary hemodynamics. To date, few studies have used PAAT to assess preterm infants, especially those with respiratory distress syndrome (RDS). This study aimed to assess changes in PAAT among preterm infants with RDS undergoing pulmonary surfactant (PS) therapy or not, and determine its potential effects on the pulmonary vascular disease (PVD) outcomes of preterm infants with RDS in the late postnatal period. METHODS: The risk of RDS was reviewed in 62 preterm infants with a gestational age of 26–31 weeks. The infants receiving PS therapy were allocated to the PS group, and the others were allocated to the control group. PAAT, right ventricular ejection time (RVET), and other ultrasonic parameters at 3 different time points after birth were studied and compared. RESULTS: Infants in the PS group had a significantly lower PAAT (52.7±5.9 vs. 59.6±8.7; P=0.001) and PAAT/RVET (0.30±0.03 vs. 0.33±0.03; P=0.001) than those in the control group at 36 weeks postmenstrual age (PMA). No significant increases in PAAT/RVET were detected at 3 different times for the PS group (P=0.117), but both PAAT and PAAT/RVET increased significantly with time after birth in the control group (P

Human astrovirus was one of the most common causative agent of acute gastroenteritis in children with infection rate estimated to range from 2% to 9% worldwide. This study was aimed to investigate the molecular and clinical epidemiological features of human astrovirus infections in children under 5 years old with acute gastroenteritis in Shandong province, China from July 2017 to June 2018. In total, 376 fecal samples and corresponding clinical information were collected and analyzed. HAstV infections were detected in all age groups with an overall positive rate of 8.51%. In addition to acute diarrhea, the main clinical manifestations were fever, abdominal pain, vomiting and dehydration, in which fever was the most common complication. Infections could be seen throughout the year with a peak in colder season. Four genotypes were detected in which HAstV-1 was the most prevalent genotype with a prevalence of 78.12%, followed by HAstV-5 (9.38%), MLB-1 (9.38%) and MLB-2 (3.12%). HAstV-1 strains were classified as lineage 1a, 1b and 1d, in which lineage 1a strains were the most prevalent followed by lineage 1b and lineage 1d strains. All HAstV-5 strains were classified as lineage 5b and no other lineages was detected. The results showed that HAstV infection was an important cause of acute gastroenteritis among children under 5 years old in Shandong province. Given that their diseases spectrum had been broadened, HAstVs should be paid more attention, not only as a causative agent of acute gastroenteritis, but also as a potential pathogen of unexpected diseases. The urban housing intelligence relying too heavily on the Internet with low security, and a disorderly market seeing false propaganda of some products with low compatibility, insufficient practicality and comprehensiveness is found based on the analysis and prospect of the definition, composition, current status and problems of urban housing intelligence. Given that, these situations can be addressed by strengthening algorithms and firewalls, offering in-person experience and careful thinking by consumers, establishing a unified technical standard with focus on scientific development. Finally, it is concluded that housing intelligence is the inexorable trend of social development, which will gradually integrate into and change people’s lifestyle.

Light fidelity (LiFi), which is emerging as a compelling technology paradigm shifting the common means of high-capacity wireless communication technologies, requires wearable and full-duplex compact design because of its great significance in smart wearables as well as the ‘Internet of Things’. However, the construction of the key component of wearable full-duplex LiFi, light-emitting/detecting bifunctional fibres, is still challenging because of the conflicting process between carrier separation and recombination, as well as the highly dynamic film-forming process. Here, we demonstrate light-emitting/detecting bifunctional fibres enabled by perovskite QDs with hybrid components. The hybrid perovskite inks endow fibres with super-smooth QD films. This, combined with the small exciton binding energy and high carrier mobility of perovskite QDs, enables successful integration of electroluminescence and photodetection into monofilaments. The bifunctional fibres possess the narrowest electroluminescence full width at half maximum of ~19 nm and, more importantly, the capability for simultaneously transmitting and receiving information. The successful fabrication of narrow emission full-duplex LiFi fibres paves the way for the fabrication and integration of low crosstalk interoperable smart wearables., LiFi technology: Hybrid fibres for bidirectional communication with light Light-emitting and detecting fibres incorporating ‘quantum dot’ structures composed of material called perovskite suitable for wireless communication using light, known as light fidelity (LiFi). The fibres, which should be suitable for developing wearable smart devices, have been developed by Qingsong Shan and colleagues at Nanjing University of Science and Technology, China, with co-workers at Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, China. Quantum dots are tiny nanoparticles that are sufficiently small for quantum mechanical effects to permeate across their entire structure. Perovskites share the crystal structure of the natural mineral perovskite, with varying chemical compositions that open up a wide range of new properties. The perovskite quantum dots are coated as an active layer on polyethylene terephthalate (PET) layers, creating a fibrous device with the much sought property of simultaneously transmitting and receiving information.

Background There are very few studies focusing on the relationship between COVID-19 and pre-infection lifestyle. In the absence of effective vaccines and special-effect medicines, it is very meaningful to actively respond to the disease pandemic by improving lifestyle habits. Methods This is a multicenter, retrospective cohort study enrolled 431 adult people including 228 normal people and 203 confirmed infects in Wubei, Henan and Shandong Provinces. Questionnaires were used to collect information on physical activity and lifestyle by competent doctors. The univariate logistic regression models and multiple regression models were used in risk factor analysis. Kruskal-Wallis H test were used to test the correlation. Results Lifestyle habits including exercise, smoking, sedentary behavior and physical activity intensity can significantly affect the probability of getting COVID-19 (P P > 0.05) and significantly increase by 6.674 times (95% CI: 1.613–27.613) when the level is low (P ). Kruskal-Wallis H test results showed moderate activity MET*min promoted shorter hospital stay (P ) mainly. Conclusions Sleep status and physical activity influenced the susceptibility and prognosis of COVID-19. Lack of sleep and low MET intensity level may prolong the hospital stay, which means a relatively slow recovery. This encourages the public to have moderate physical activity and adequate sleep to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic actively.

Metal halide perovskites have been focused as a candidate applied as a promising luminescent material for next-generation high-quality lighting and high-definition display. However, as perovskite films formed, high density of defects would be produced in solution processing inevitably, leading to low exciton recombination efficiency in light-emitting diodes (LEDs). Herein, a facile and novel self-passivation strategy to inhibit defect formation in perovskite films for constructing high-performance LEDs is developed. In this paper, we consider the problem of mutual privacy protection in social participatory sensing in which individuals contribute their private information to build a (virtual) community. Particularly, we propose a mutual privacy preserving $k$ -means clustering scheme that neither discloses an individual's private information nor leaks the community's characteristic data (clusters). Our scheme contains two privacy-preserving algorithms called at each iteration of the $k$ -means clustering. The first one is employed by each participant to find the nearest cluster while the cluster centers are kept secret to the participants; and the second one computes the cluster centers without leaking any cluster center information to the participants while preventing each participant from figuring out other members in the same cluster. An extensive performance analysis is carried out to show that our approach is effective for $k$ -means clustering, can resist collusion attacks, and can provide mutual privacy protection even when the data analyst colludes with all except one participant.

The objective of this study was to determine whether copious irrigation of peritoneal cavity during laparoscopic appendectomy for complicated appendicitis effectively reduces the incidence of postoperative complications and improves the postoperative recovery in adults compared with suction alone.In this prospective randomized trial, adult patients with complicated appendicitis were randomized to "irrigation and suction"(IS) group or "suction only"(SO) group. All surgery was performed with a standardized 3-port laparoscopic approach. The IS group received peritoneal irrigation with a minimum of 2000 mL sterile normal saline. The study primary outcomes included wound infection and postoperative intra-abdominal abscess. The study secondary outcomes included duration of operation, first anal exsufflation time, duration of hospital stay and hospital charges. Chi-squared and t-tests were used to analyze the study data.Between January 2015 and June 2016, a total of 260 patients with complicated appendicitis were enrolled in the study. The peritoneal irrigation resulted in a longer operation time (51.6 ± 16.1 vs. 41.5 ± 15.2 min, p0.001). There was no significant difference in the rate of wound infection between the two groups. However, the patients who received irrigation had a lower postoperative intra-abdominal abscess rate (3.1% vs. 9.2%, p = 0.039), earlier anal exsufflation (25.2 ± 16.5 vs. 30.7 ± 18.1 hr, p = 0.011), shorter hospital stay (10.2 ± 2.5 vs. 12.5 ± 2.8 days, p0.001) and lower hospital charges (¥14,592 ± 2,251 vs. 16,674 ± 2,163, p0.001) compared to those received suction alone.The study findings revealed that copious irrigation of peritoneal cavity during laparoscopic appendectomy could decrease the incidence of postoperative intra-abdominal abscess in adult patients with complicated appendicitis. These patients also had faster postoperative recovery and lower hospital charges.

Metal halide perovskites (MHPs) are received widespread attention due to their high photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY), narrow emission linewidths, tunable emission colors, and low cost. However, the non-radiative recombination loss caused by defects is a bottleneck restricting the efficiency improvement of MHP-based light-emitting diodes (PeLEDs). In this review, initially, we summarize characteristics of typical defect types that cause PeLEDs efficiency degradation, and demonstrate the effect on the carrier recombination mechanism. Then, we highlight the recent progress of typical defect suppression strategies for obtaining highly efficient PeLEDs, including crystal growth regulation, composition engineering, passivation and dimensional regulation. Finally, we look forward to the future development direction and make suggestions for how to further improve device efficiency. This review is expected to promote the development of PeLEDs and provide a significance guidance for fabricating highly efficient devices.

Here, we report the influence of the ambient gas on the performance of quantum dot-based light-emitting diodes (QD-LEDs). The blue QD-LED devices with the maximum external quantum efficiency of 8.1% and the turn-on voltage of 2.7 V could be obtained in air. The efficiency decreases by 12% and turn-on voltage increases by 0.3 V relative to the control devices fabricated in a N2-filled glovebox. The histogram of maximum external quantum efficiency (EQE) shows average peak EQE of 8.08% and a low standard deviation of 3.63%, suggesting high reproducibility. Correspondingly, the operational lifetime of 376 h is obtained, which is on par with 408 h of devices fabricated in N2. For the devices fabricated in air, relatively high efficiency could be maintained only at low voltages, because of the near balanced injection of carriers under low bias. The measurements of contact potential difference, chemical composition, and surface roughness are used to verify the variation of energy level and surface morphology of films influenced by different ambient gas. These results would offer reasonable guidance for the application of QD-LEDs in actual large-scale production.

Inorganic perovskites (CsPbX3 (X = I, Br, Cl)) have broad prospection in the field of high-definition displaying due to its excellent optoelectronic characteristics. The vacuum deposition process possesses advantages and competitiveness in the industrialized production. However, the performance of light emitting diodes (LEDs) based on vacuum-deposited is incredibly low. Herein, we proposed a heating-assisted vacuum deposition (HAVD) method to construct inorganic perovskite LEDs (PeLEDs) with enhanced performance. The roughness and crystallinity of perovskite film were improved by regulating the heating treatment of substrates. And the perovskite film exhibited largely rise in luminescence, with decreasing defect density. Consequently, with the optimized temperature, the green PeLEDs exhibited 100-fold improvement of external quantum efficiency (EQE) with the luminance of up to 11 941 cd/m2, and the full width at half-maximum (FWHM) of the electroluminescence (EL) spectra was decreased from 25 to 17 nm. At the same time, the red and blue PeLEDs also exhibited obvious enhancement in EQE and luminance by HAVD method, and both the FWHM of EL spectra dropped below 20 nm, exhibiting excellent high color purity. HAVD strategy has a huge potential to be a new commonly used method for low-cost fabrication of displays and lighting.

Developing low-cost and high-quality quantum dots (QDs) or nanocrystals (NCs) and their corresponding efficient light-emitting diodes (LEDs) is crucial for the next-generation ultra-high-definition flexible displays. Here, there is a report on a room-temperature triple-ligand surface engineering strategy to play the synergistic role of short ligands of tetraoctylammonium bromide (TOAB), didodecyldimethylammonium bromide (DDAB), and octanoic acid (OTAc) toward "ideal" perovskite QDs with a high photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) of >90%, unity radiative decay in its intrinsic channel, stable ink characteristics, and effective charge injection and transportation in QD films, resulting in the highly efficient QD-based LEDs (QLEDs). Furthermore, the QD films with less nonradiative recombination centers exhibit improved PL properties with a PLQY of 61% through dopant engineering in A-site. The robustness of such properties is demonstrated by the fabrication of green electroluminescent LEDs based on CsPbBr3 QDs with the peak external quantum efficiency (EQE) of 11.6%, and the corresponding peak internal quantum efficiency (IQE) and power efficiency are 52.2% and 44.65 lm W-1 , respectively, which are the most-efficient perovskite QLEDs with colloidal CsPbBr3 QDs as emitters up to now. These results demonstrate that the as-obtained QD inks have a wide range application in future high-definition QD displays and high-quality lightings.

Colloidal nanoplatelets (NPLs) have recently been introduced as semiconductor emissive materials for the fabrication of quantum dot light-emitting diodes (QLED) on account of their ultra-narrow photoluminescence (PL) linewidth. In this paper, we report a multilayer all solution-processed green QLED based on colloidal CdSe/CdS core/shell NPLs with a narrow PL full-width-at-half-maximum (FWHM) of 12 nm. Our characterization results reveal that this kind of NPL containing QLED exhibit a low operating voltage of 2.25 V and a maximum luminance up to 33 000 cd m(-2), and peak external quantum efficiency (EQE) of 5%, corresponding to 12.5 cd A(-1) in luminance efficiency. Particularly, these devices show ultra-high color purity for electroluminescence (EL) with FWHM of 14 nm. As extremely narrow EL and ultra-pure color is highly attractive in the applications of LED industries, this work signifies the unique potential application of one new class of colloidal core/shell NPLs in achieving bright and efficient LEDs with superior color saturation.

We report a type of highly efficient deep-red light-emitting diode based on type-II CdTe/CdSe core/shell quantum dots (QDs). High-quality CdTe/CdSe core/shell QDs with three different photoluminescence emissions peaked at 642, 664 and 689 nm are, respectively, synthesized through a green process. Correspondingly, three devices employing QDs with different PL peaks show the maximum external quantum efficiency (EQE) of 5.24%, 5.74% and 6.19% with a low turn-on voltage of about 1.8 V, respectively. Interestingly, EQE is kept above 5% in a certain range of luminance (from 101 to 103 cd m−2). To our knowledge, this is the first report that uses type-II core/shell QDs as deep-red emitters and these results may offer a practicable reference for applications that require a high efficiency deep-red illuminant.

Sorafenib has been demonstrated to improve survival rate in patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC); however, the survival benefit remains modest and the response rates remain poor. Transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) may be used for the treatment of advanced HCC with well-preserved liver function and has a high local tumor control rate. We hypothesized that patients with advanced HCC may benefit from the combination of sorafenib with TACE. A retrospective study was conducted involving patients with advanced HCC, who had received at least one TACE session. Patients subsequently received 400 mg sorafenib twice per day and were monitored monthly. A dose reduction from 400 to 200 mg of sorafenib twice per day was permitted. The overall survival and side effects were subsequently followed up. In total, 38 patients were included from April 1st, 2009 to March 31st, 2012. All patients were treated with sorafenib after TACE was performed. As of March 31st, 2013, seven patients remained on sorafenib, and were censored at that time point. The median overall survival time was 12 months (95% confidence interval, 6.3–17.7 months). The sorafenib dose was reduced temporarily in 32 patients (84.2%). The most common toxicities were dermatological adverse effects (94.7%), diarrhea (63.2%) and alopecia (26.3%). The survival benefit of sorafenib combined with TACE for advanced HCC is promising, with no intolerable adverse events, provided that dose adjustment is permitted.

This study explores the knowledge base of non-native English-speaking teachers (NNESTs) working in the Canadian English as a second language (ESL) context. By examining NNESTs’ experiences in seeking employment and teaching ESL in Canada, and investigating ESL program administrators’ perceptions and hiring practices in relation to NNESTs, it identifies the knowledge base of NNESTs that allows them to gain access to the ESL profession and become effective ESL teachers. This knowledge base consists of six categories, which are content knowledge, pedagogical knowledge, pedagogical content knowledge, contextual knowledge, continuity with past experiences, and support knowledge. Strategies to develop the knowledge base of NNESTs are also identified. The study contributes to a better understanding of the professional knowledge of NNESTs working in ESL contexts. RATIONALE Simpson-Golabi-Behmel syndrome type 1 (SGBS1) is caused by mutations in GPC3 or in both GPC3 and GPC4. Physical manifestations of SGBS1 include fetal overgrowth and macrostomia, macroglossia. Subclinical hypothyroidism has never been reported in SGBS1 cases. PATIENT CONCERNS An 8-days-old boy was referred to our hospital with persistent hypoglycemia and special facies. And the infant showed elevated levels of thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH). Free T4 and free T3 were normal. DIAGNOSES Definitive diagnosis of SGBS1 depends on clinical features and genetic testing. A nonsense mutation (c.1515C > A, p. Cys505*) was tested by whole-exome sequencing. INTERVENTIONS Normal blood glucose levels were maintained with glucose infusions. Levothyroxine was given to the patient for treating subclinical hypothyroidism. OUTCOMES The parents decided to abandon the treatment of the patient. We learned that the patient died of a lung infection by a telephone follow-up. LESSONS Subclinical hypothyroidism could be added to the known clinical manifestations of SGBS1.

In this paper, we report the synthesis, the structural and optical characterization of CdSe/CdS//CdS nanorods (NRs) and their exploitation in nanorod-based light-emitting diodes (NR-LEDs). Two kinds of NRs of CdSe/CdS and CdSe/CdS//CdS were incorporated into the structure of solution-processed hybrid NR-LEDs. Compared to CdSe/CdS, the efficiencies of CdSe/CdS//CdS NR-based LEDs are overwhelmingly higher, specifically showing unprecedented values of peak current efficiency of 19.8 cd/A and external quantum efficiency of 15.7%. Such excellent results are likely attributable to a unique structure in CdSe/CdS//CdS NRs with a relatively high quantum yield, thick CdS outer shell, and rod structure which minimize nonradiative energy transfer between closely packed NRs in emitting layer.

Cyberbullying has become a common occurrence among adolescents worldwide; however, it has yet to receive adequate scholarly attention in China, especially in the mainland. The present study investigated the epidemiological characteristics and risk factors of cyberbullying, utilizing a sample of 1,438 high school students from central China. Findings revealed that cyberbullying among high school students in the heartland of central China is relatively common with 34.84% ( N = 501) of participants reported having bullied someone and 56.88% ( N = 818) reported having been bullied by online. Significant gender differences were found, suggesting that boys are more likely to be involved in cyberbullying both as perpetrators and victims. Students with lower academic achievement were more likely to be perpetrators online than were students with better academic achievement. Students who spend more time on online, have access to the internet in their bedrooms, have themselves experienced traditional bullying as victims, and are frequently involved in instant-messaging and other forms of online entertainment are more likely to experience cyberbullying. Increased parent and teacher supervision reduced students’ involvement in cyberbullying. Implications for intervention are explored.

To handle the emergence of the regional healthcare ecosystem, physicians and surgeons in various departments and healthcare institutions must process medical images securely, conveniently, and efficiently, and must integrate them with electronic medical records (EMRs). In this manuscript, we propose a software as a service (SaaS) cloud called the iMAGE cloud. A three-layer hybrid cloud was created to provide medical image processing services in the smart city of Wuxi, China, in April 2015. In the first step, medical images and EMR data were received and integrated via the hybrid regional healthcare network. Then, traditional and advanced image processing functions were proposed and computed in a unified manner in the high-performance cloud units. Finally, the image processing results were delivered to regional users using the virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) technology. Security infrastructure was also taken into consideration. Integrated information query and many advanced medical image processing functions—such as coronary extraction, pulmonary reconstruction, vascular extraction, intelligent detection of pulmonary nodules, image fusion, and 3D printing—were available to local physicians and surgeons in various departments and healthcare institutions. Implementation results indicate that the iMAGE cloud can provide convenient, efficient, compatible, and secure medical image processing services in regional healthcare networks. The iMAGE cloud has been proven to be valuable in applications in the regional healthcare system, and it could have a promising future in the healthcare system worldwide.

To study the safety and the function of maintaining normal immunity of product with royal jelly lyophilized powder and whole-leaf aloe drying powder as main raw materials. Methods: Selected 125 subjects qualified for inclusion/exclusion criteria for a trial test. (The trial group lost 9 subjects. The control group lost 6 subjects.54 effective subjects of trial group includes 12 men and 42 women. 56 effective subjects of control group including 9 men and 47 women.) The trial group was evaluated by self-control and inter-group comparison, after 90 days of continuous use of aloe royal jelly. Results: There are significant differences in the overall feeling, physiological feeling, psychological feeling and comprehensive evaluation of the individuals in the trial group after 90 days (P0.05). The ratio of CD4/CD8, IgG, IgA and IgM in the trial group and the placebo control group are above the normal low-limit. There is no obvious abnormality in indicators of blood test, blood biochemistry, liver and kidney function and other clinical tests. Conclusion: Aloe royal jelly powder contributes to maintain normal immune function and has no harmful effect to the health of subjects.

Perovskite quantum dots (QDs) with high photoluminescence quantum yields (PLQYs) and narrow emission peak hold promise for next-generation flexible and high-definition displays. However, perovskite QD films often suffer from low PLQYs due to the dynamic characteristics between the QD's surface and organic ligands and inefficient electrical transportation resulting from long hydrocarbon organic ligands as highly insulating barrier, which impair the ensuing device performance. Here, a general organic-inorganic hybrid ligand (OIHL) strategy is reported on to passivate perovskite QDs for highly efficient electroluminescent devices. Films based on QDs through OIHLs exhibit enhanced radiative recombination and effective electrical transportation properties compared to the primal QDs. After the OIHL passivation, QD-based light-emitting diodes (QLEDs) exhibit a maximum peak external quantum efficiency (EQE) of 16.48%, which is the most efficient electroluminescent device in the field of perovskite-based LEDs up to date. The proposed OIHL passivation strategy positions perovskite QDs as an extremely promising prospect in future applications of high-definition displays, high-quality lightings, as well as solar cells.

It has been reported that the trimethylation of histone 3 on lysine 27 (H3K27me3) is required for enhancer of zeste homology 2 (EZH2)-mediated repression of various genes essential for tumorigenesis and tumor development. Here, we reported the expression of EZH2 and H3K27me3 in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) specimens was higher than the pericarcinoma esophageal specimens. Their expression was positively associated with the poor prognosis of ESCC patients. EZH2 expression, histological grade and distant lymph node metastasis were all independent factors for poor prognosis of ESCC. In addition, enforced expression of EZH2 in esophageal cancer-derived cells could increase the overall H3K27me3 level. Our results suggested the expression of EZH2 and H3K27me3 could serve as biomarkers in the prediction of ESCC patients' survival and ESCC metastasis.

Various low-temperature (LT) ultra-thin buffer layers have been fabricated on the GaAs (001) substrate. The buffer layer is decoupled from the host substrate by introducing low-temperature defects. The 400 nm In0.25Ga0.75As films were grown on these substrates to test the 'compliant' effects of the buffer layers. Atomic force microscopy, photoluminescence, double crystal x-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy were used to estimate the quality of the ln(0.25)Ga(0.75)As layer. The measurements indicated that the misfit strains in the epilayer can be accommodated by the LT ultra-thin buffer layer. The strain accommodation effects of the LT defects have been discussed in detail.

With the increasing popularity of electric vehicles, there will be huge amount of electric vehicles visiting the battery charging station to change their batteries. In the charging station, a robotic arm may move back and forth thousands of times to change batteries for vehicles every day, which results in huge energy consumption. However, it is difficult to design a good dispatch method to minimize the energy consumption of the robotic arm since arrivals of vehicles are real-time and unpredictable. In this paper, under the actual application scenario, we propose an effective algorithm to address this issue. According to our simulation, this algorithm can always find the global optimal dispatch strategy, which can minimize the energy consumption of the robotic arm.

200 µm thick free-standing polycrystalline diamond film has been grown by microwave plasma chemical vapor deposition (MPCVD) method. The nucleation surface of diamond is characterized by Raman scattering, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM) method. AFM and SEM results indicate the nucleation surface is quite smooth with a mean surface roughness (RMS) of about 10 nm. Raman scattering result indicates of high quality nucleation diamond film. A diamond field effect transistor is fabricated on hydrogenated diamond nucleation surface, using standard lithographic procedures. Device with aluminum (Al) gate electrode, to form Schottky barrier with diamond, as well as Au source and drain electrodes to form ohmic contact with diamond, operates as effective enhancement-mode metal-semiconductor field-effect transistors at room temperature, showing clear modulation of channel current.

These patients underwent at least two TACE procedures and were followed-up for at least 3 months to assess the reactivation of HBV DNA. Ten variables were compared in patients with and without HBV reactivation to evaluate the factors related to HBV reactivation in HCC patients with low serum HBV DNA level.Results: Of 109 HCC patients with low level HBV DNA, nine patients were HBeAg-positive, the other 100 patients were HBeAg-negative. Twenty-three of 109 (21.1%) patients developed HBV reactivation after TACE. Of nine HBeAg-positive patients, 55.6% (5/9) developed HBV reactivation, while in 100 HBeAg-negative patients, the rate of HBV reactivation was 18% (18/100) (P=0.019). Of ten variables of patients with low level HBV DNA, the levels of AFP and HBeAg status were found to be significantly correlated with HBV reactivation. Nevertheless, on binary logistic regression analysis, only HBeAg-positive status was the independent predictor of HBV reactivation in HCC patients with low serum HBV DNA level (odds ratio, 7.41; P=0.013).Conclusion: HCC patients with low serum HBV DNA level still remain associated with risk of viral reactivation after TACE, and HBeAg-positive HCC patients have a higher risk than patients with HBeAg-negative status.Keywords: HBV DNA, viral reactivation, hepatocellular carcinoma, transarterial chemo­embolization

T-cell lymphoma is the special malignant type of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. The diagnosis and the treatment were usually troublesome for physician in clinical practice. We retrospectively reviewed 63 cases of T-cell lymphomas from 360 cases of lymphomas in our hospital during the period from January 2000 to July 2006. This study is to determine the clinicopathological characteristics of T cell lymphomas. The patients were reclassified according to the World Health Organization classification system. Clinical data, including age, gender, clinical staging, and follow-up, were scrutinized. The median follow-up duration was 5 months (range 21days to 36 months). There were slightly more males than females (36 versus 27), and the median age at the onset were 40 years (range 13 to 77 years). The major subtype was peripheral T-cell lymphoma, which accounted for 78% (49/63). Besides, there were 5 cases of anaplastic T large cell lymphoma, 3 lymphoblastic lymphoma, 2 T/NK-cell lymphoma, 2 angioimmunoblastic lymphoma, 1 mycosis fungoides and 1 pre-T cell lymphoma. The most common manifestation was fever, which accounted for 60% (38/63). 27% (17/63) patients presented with obvious enlargement of lymphonodes. Other manifestation included skin rash or phymata, pruritus, jaundice, abdominal pain, rhinorrhagia, puffiness, diarrhea, hoarseness and ulcus. Interestingly, we found that only 32% obvious enlarged lymphonodes could be confirmed by physical examination, hepatomegaly 33% and Splenomegaly 44% respectively. Besides, there were several significant laboratory findings: 40% cases had cytopenia of at least 2 cell lines, 68% had high level of LDH, 70% had elevated β2-microglobulin and 68% were detected T-cell receptor (TCR) and immunoglobulin heavy chain (IgH) gene rearrangement. Furthermore, 53% (33/63) patients had bone marrow involvement at the onset and 27% were diagnosed only by bone marrow biopsy. We also observed 20 cases of lymphoma associated hemophagocytic syndromes (LAHS). The median age for this disease was 37 year. The median life span was 39 days (range 21days to 10 months). The initial manifestations included fever (19/20), splenohepatomegaly (18/20), and cytopenias in all patients. Only 15% patients had enlargement of lymphonodes, which was suggested to be infrequent in LAHS. Immatural T-cell infiltration in bone marrow was detected in 75% (15/20) cases. Chromosome disorder of [der(21)(p11), −22] was detected in 3 cases. We also found that 2 cases which underwent plasmapheresis got much better after chemotherapy. 19 cases were under our follow-up. 17 patients could not survival longer than 6 months. The 6-month overall survival (OS) for LAHS was merely 2 of all 20. Furthermore, nobody survived more than 1 year, which indicated the poor prognosis of LAHS. There were 11 out of 63 cases had received trial chemotherapy including liposomal Doxorubicin, L-asparaginase, velcade, autologous bone marrow transplantation, or plasmapheresis before chemotherapy. The median survival time prolonged obviously from 2 months up to 8 months, which suggested the encouraging efficiency of these methods.

In this paper, the performance of quantum dot-based light-emitting diodes (QLEDs) comprising ZnCdSe/ZnS core-shell QDs as an emitting layer were enhanced by employing Au-doped poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)/polystyrene sulfonate (PEDOT:PSS) hole injection layer (HIL). By varying the concentration and dimension of Au nanoparticle (NP) dopants in PEDOT:PSS, the optimal devices were obtained with ~22-nm-sized Au NP dopant at the concentration with an optical density (OD) of 0.21. Highly bright green QLEDs with a maximum external quantum efficiency (EQE) of 8.2 % and a current efficiency of 29.1 cd/A exhibit 80 % improvement compared with devices without Au NP dopants. The improved performance may be attributed to the significant increase in the hole injection rate as a result of the introduction of Au NPs and the good matching between the resonance frequency of the localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) generated by the Au NPs and the emission band of QD layer, as well as the suppressed Auger recombination of QD layer due to the LSPR-induced near-field enhanced radiative recombination rate of excitons. These results are helpful for fabricating high-performance QD-based applications, such as full-color displays and solid-state lighting.
