Syringe filling of high-concentration mAb formulation during manufacturing of large-scale drug product batches may present challenges such as product deposition onto the area of the syringe barrel where the stopper is inserted, product splashing or dripping, droplets left after the fill cycle, filling needle clogging, product build-up inside the needle during line stoppages, variation in fill weight/volume, and potential impact on product quality attributes. In this article, a summary of these issues and approaches to overcome them are summarized. Potential failure modes of the syringe filling process and appropriate in-process controls are provided. In addition to developing the filling process or resolving manufacturing issues, the pharmaceutical company developing the product and associated drug product manufacturing process may want to implement long-term strategic approaches to support the portfolio progression. Potential long-term approaches such as use of a viscosity reducing formulation development approach, improving peristaltic filling technology performance, building small-scale filling capability and establishing a streamlined filling process management cycle are also summarized. The aspects summarized in this article may be used to develop a robust filling process and control strategy for high-concentration mAb products and implement long-term strategic approaches to support the portfolio progression.

Τhe name of article is “On some aspects of process management and human resource management interaction at the customs authorities”. Main stakeholders such as European Commission Directorate-General Taxation and Customs Union, World Customs Organization, universities and world customs administrations are looking for better training support mechanism, how to create contact points for university and customs internal training and to create qualitative business training programs in the customs area. In spite of different activities, for the time being concise and clear mechanism does not exist. Another problem lies in condition that training requirements do not underlie processes and job descriptions. Training organizers - customs authorities training centers and universities, developing own training programs follow the goals and objectives of staff development strategy, it becomes apparent that interaction of job descriptions and occupation standards is relatively little and do not supplement each other. The aim of research is to describe the mechanism of existing and potential human resource management and process management mutual interaction and mutual influence. To achieve the goal there has been set a task to study the specifics of job description formation at customs authorities, describe the significance of occupation descriptions to provide work at customs and their legislation, analyze the role of occupation standards to provide training needs. As a result of research proposals have been submitted about the improvement of process management, job description and occupation standard mutual interaction mechanism. Research is based on comparative analysis of literature and practical experience of custom authorities.

The study and determination of the composition of the attributes of the activity of economic systems of the «organization» type made it possible to identify contradictions, incompleteness and unreliability in existing resources, evaluation tools and methodological tools of process management. The composition and content of the model of reforming the activities of existing sub-processes of the organization, which are the key structural units of object management systems in social and economic environments, are described. The presented research materials, identification and completion of the missing elements of the attributes of the key subprocess of managing the assessment of specialists within the framework of the personnel management process of a basic organization for the subsequent output to a new level of the quality of testing of specialists and their effective use in the organization's activities.

Traditional fire safety management in the electric power industry has significant drawbacks, including a lack of data, difficulty of maintenance, lack of supervision, and lack of interaction. This type of management lags behind current advanced safety management concepts such as “gate advancement” and “full process management”, and it fails to meet the needs of future energy internet construction and development. In response to these problems, an internet of things system for smart firefighting in the electric power industry was constructed in this study. This system defines a centralized information window, trains a power intelligent firefighting brain, establishes a firefighting cloud management and control system, constructs a power firefighting interaction mechanism, and performs multi-party coordination of firefighting mechanisms to realize concept of “a whole network on one screen and everything in one network” for managing fires.

District heating and cooling (DHC) networks are traditionally operated with a limited number of controls to secure the required supply task and to optimize economics and ecologic performance. An optimized heat generation and overall network operation is possible with more information on the demand and flexibility options. A wider implementation of information and communication technologies opens up for better network management based on real time measurement data and for the integration of new digital business processes. For a further development it is needed to promote the opportunities of the integration of digital processes into DHC systems and to clarify the role of digitalization for different parts within district heating and cooling systems. Digital technologies are believed to make the whole energy system smarter, more efficient and reliable and to boost the efficiency and the integration of more renewables into the system. In the future, digital applications might enable district energy systems to fully optimize their plant and network operation while empowering the end consumer. On the other hand new challenges need to be tackled, such as data security and privacy as well as questions about data ownership. The paper presents and discusses the first results from the starting research work within the IEA DHC Annex TS4 on Digitalization of District Heating Systems – Optimized Operation and Maintenance of District Heating and Cooling Systems via Digital Process Management.

Background: The proliferation of systematic reviews has impacted library operations and activities as librarians support, collaborate, and perform more tasks in the systematic review process. This case report describes a toolkit that librarians with extensive experience in supporting multiple review teams use to manage time, resources, and expectations in the systematic review process.Case Presentation: The toolkit is a compilation of documents that we use to effectively communicate with and help review teams understand and navigate each stage of the systematic review process. Elements included in the toolkit and discussed in this case report are intake forms, communication templates and memoranda, a process flow diagram, library guides on tools for retrieval and data appraisal, and established standards for guidance during the write-up stage. We describe the use of the toolkit for both education and project management, with a focus on its use in helping manage team time, resources, and expectations.Discussion: The systematic review toolkit helps librarians connect systematic review steps and tasks to actionable items. The content facilitates and supports discussion and learning by both librarians and team members. This toolkit helps librarians share important information and resources for each stage of the process.

The article proposes criteria for assessing the management of innovative processes in the field of information and communication technologies (ICT) on the basis of a point system, the study of indicators of international indices, based on the results of which calculations are made.The purpose of the study is to develop a unified methodology for assessing the effectiveness of management of innovation processes in the ICT field and to provide recommendations for its application in practice.Scientific novelty of the research:1. Con el objetivo de describir cómo es la gestión por procesos en el marco de la Modernización de la Gestión Pública, se eligió a la Defensoría del Pueblo para realizar un estudio de caso. A través de entrevistas aplicadas a expertos en el modelo normativo vigente, se abordaron una serie de preguntas para poder analizar los objetivos específicos relacionados a los conocimientos especializados que debe de reunir un especialista, a la metodología aplicada según la Norma Técnica N° 001-2018-SGP/PCM, a los elementos relevantes para el diseño de los procesos, a las actividades de control aplicadas para el seguimiento y evaluación, a los mecanismos aplicados para la mejora y finalmente, a los medios utilizados para la difusión de los procesos. Se concluyó que, el modelo es laborioso y eficaz pero las entidades públicas no lo aplican de acuerdo a la normativa vigente, dejando un vacío en la gestión. La gestión por procesos se da manera paulatina y su aplicación en el estado se encuentra en un proceso de conocimiento y madurez; y que, con la necesidad de modernizar la gestión pública, los procesos toman mayor relevancia para implementar nuevos sistemas de mejora que impacten en la calidad de los servicios públicos.

Las micro, pequeñas y medianas empresas (Mi Pymes) que actualmente existen en el Ecuador, son parte fundamental para el crecimiento de la producción, la generación de plazas de empleo, la innovación y el dinamismo productivo del país. Por otra parte, el sector de la transportación urbana según la Clasificación Internacional Uniforme (CIIU) forma parte del sector H referente al transporte y almacenamiento, convirtiéndose en un servicio fundamental para el desarrollo de la urbe portovejense. Cabe agregar, que para brindar un servicio de calidad se requiere una adaptación oportuna a los cambios generados en el siglo XXI por los avances tecnológicos, por tal motivo se hace indispensable la búsqueda de nuevos métodos, como es el caso de un enfoque de gestión por procesos, que permitan generar mejoras continuas en su gestión organizacional, contribuyendo al logro de los objetivos y planes propuestos. Es por ello, que la presente investigación tiene como objetivo describir los requisitos necesarios para la implementación de un modelo de gestión por procesos en las Mi Pymes del sector de la trasportación urbano de Portoviejo. Por ende, al instaurar un modelo de gestión por procesos se logrará una mejora continua en cada uno de los procesos que se llevan a cabo en el gremio de la transportación.

В последние годы целый ряд исследователей соглашается с тем, что идеи наряду с материальными факторами способствуют построению каких-либо объяснений социальных преобразований. В то же время, существует устойчивое и резко противоположное мнение, что идеи сами по себе являются исключительно теоретически перегруженными конструктами, которые в принципе мало что значат. Важным замечанием представляется инструментальная роль идей в преодолении ограниченной рациальности различных акторов, без обращения к которым они вряд ли достигли бы желаемых прагматических эффектов совершенных действий. Настоящая статья посвящена прикладному значению идей, которые воплощаются в целые технологии управления социальными процессами. Обоснована значимость интеллектуальных ресурсов в контексте Постсовременности. Показано, что представляют собой современные технологии социального управления. Выявлено место идеальных элементов в структуре управления процессами. В логике авторского подхода рассмотрены примеры дистрибуции идей от генезиса до их практической реализации в различных сферах общественной жизни. Уточнена инновационность идей, к которым перманентно обращаются акторы. Актуализировано состояние манипулятивных практик, к которым вынуждены прибегать властные субъекты. Приведена классификация идей, задающих концептуальные основания альтернативных утилитарных действий. В заключение обобщаются основные выводы и подводятся итоги исследования. In recent years, a number of researchers have agreed that ideas, along with material factors, contribute to the construction of any explanations for social transformations. At the same time, there is a stable and sharply opposite opinion that ideas in themselves are exclusively theoretically overloaded constructs that, in principle, mean little. An important remark is the instrumental role of ideas in overcoming the limited rationality of various actors, without recourse to which they would hardly have achieved the desired pragmatic effects of committed actions. This article is devoted to the applied meaning of ideas that are embodied in whole technologies for managing social processes. The importance of intellectual resources in the context of Postmodernity has been substantiated. It is shown what modern technologies of social management are. Revealed the place of ideal elements in the structure of process management. In the logic of the author's approach, examples of the distribution of ideas from genesis to their practical implementation in various spheres of public life are considered. Clarified the innovativeness of ideas to which actors are permanently referring. The state of manipulative practices that powerful subjects are forced to resort to has been updated. A classification of ideas defining the conceptual foundations of alternative utilitarian actions is given. In conclusion, the main findings are summarized and the results of the study are summed up.

The implementation of agile frameworks, such as SAFe, in large companies causes conflicts between the overall product development process with a rigid linkage to the calendar cycles and the continuous agile project planning. To resolve these conflicts, adaptive processes can be used to support the creation of realistic target-processes, i.e. project plans, while stabilizing process quality and simplifying process management. This enables the usage of standardisation methods and module sets for design processes.The objective of this contribution is to support project managers to create realistic target-processes through the usage of target-process module sets. These target-process module sets also aim to stabilize process quality and to simplify process management. This contribution provides an approach for the development and application of target-process module sets, in accordance to previously gathered requirements and evaluates the approach within a case study with project managers at AUDI AG (N=21) and an interview study with process authors (N=4) from three different companies.

PurposeThe paper aims to assess the influence of process quality management (PQM) practices on a firm's operational performance (OP) and investigate the mediating role of a firm's learning and development orientation (LDO) in the PQM–OP relationship. The paper also assesses the extent to which the proposed mediation is moderated by senior management support (SMS).Design/methodology/approachThis paper draws on the sociotechnical system theory to carry out a survey study of 278 functional managers from various manufacturing firms in India through a postal mail survey approach. The response rate has been improved by frequent telephone follow-ups. The collected data was analyzed for mediation of LDO and moderated mediation of SMS in the proposed framework using Hayes's PROCESS Macro in statistical package for social sciences.FindingsThe research findings show that both PQM and LDO lead to better performance and should be encouraged. LDO was found to partially mediate the effect of PQM on the firm's OP. The results also show that an enhanced learning capability of an organization can significantly influence improvement in OP through a stronger support of senior management.Research limitations/implicationsThe current study explored the mediating role of LDO in the relationship between PQM and OP, while providing a future research opportunity for an empirical review of the mediating effect of LDO between the effects of just-in-time, maintenance and process benchmarking activities on OP.Practical implicationsTo transform PQM activities into a competitive advantage, firms need to develop learning capabilities. Senior managers in the manufacturing industry should strongly focus upon creating a learning-centered work culture to improve performance and productivity.Originality/valueThe study provides insights into the type of people-related activities that manufacturing firms should undertake to enhance their OP. Few studies in the extant literature have used SMS as a moderator to improve LDO's impact on business operations. The study aims at bridging this gap.

La calidad de los productos o servicios ha constituido desde siempre, un elemento generador de competitividad, rentabilidad y diferenciación en el sector empresarial y la gerencia. Cada vez más, concentra sus esfuerzos en una cuidadosa gestión de procesos y aprovechamiento de recursos disponibles. La presente investigación tiene por objeto, describir y analizar diferentes elementos ligados a los sistemas de gestión de calidad. Para ello se realizó un estudio de carácter bibliográfico, descriptivo y correlacional en el que se abordaron algunas conceptualizaciones y criterios de varios autores. Posteriormente, se describieron elementos vinculados a la gestión de calidad tales como: la evolución de los sistemas de gestión de calidad, principios sobre la calidad total, la importancia de implementar sistemas enfocados en la calidad, entre otros apartados expuestos a lo largo del documento que, permiten comprender la importancia de la gestión de calidad como herramienta imprescindible para las organizaciones.

The article is devoted to the definition of features and directions of increasing the efficiency of enterprise management with the help of budgeting technology. Research of theoretical and methodological, organizational and practical aspects of budgeting process management is implemented through the introduction of software products. On the theoretical basis of the formation of budgets of enterprises, which are considered from the standpoint of the implementation of management activities through the implementation of management functions: planning, organization, coordination, motivation and control. The stages, sources of information security and features of budgeting in modern conditions are defined. The need for budget activities of enterprises at the strategic and tactical levels. Effective budget execution is proposed to increase the competitiveness of enterprises. The article presents further improvement of software implementation based on software budgeting technologies, which are integrated into it SyteLine Budgeting technology (the process of budgeting based on the synthesis of business process management systems). This technique is an effective alternative to traditional structural resource budgeting and is relevant for companies that are on the path of business process reengineering and application of economic and mathematical models of optimal choice, which will allow the company to develop specific tactical (operational) tasks to form a budgeting system. significantly reduce the complexity of budgeting at both the operational level and strategic management. Scientific principles and practical recommendations formulated in the work allow to increase the efficiency of management of organizations of all forms of ownership and activity by creating an automated budget system at the level of divisions and operational processes of the company, which will develop budgeting and methodological approaches to its formation, in particular, with the use of the normative budget of the project.

A Gestão por Processos pode ser definida como ferramenta de controle e transformação dos processos das organizações para a otimização de recursos e minimização de perdas. Considerando-se que o cidadão brasileiro tem exigido, cada vez mais, mudanças para modernizar a administração pública, para que a mesma consiga prestar serviços de alto nível de qualidade e com custos reduzidos, o objetivo desta pesquisa foi o de evidenciar as tarefas que integram o setor de conferência em uma Autarquia de previdência pública do município de Campo Bom, no estado do Rio Grande do Sul, com o objetivo de analisar a possibilidade da implementação da gestão por processos. Em termos metodológicos o estudo possui abordagem qualitativa, objetivo exploratório e descritivo e como estratégia de pesquisa um estudo de caso único, sendo os dados obtidos por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas, observação participante e pesquisa documental. Os resultados evidenciaram o volume de trabalho e sua complexidade e a necessidade de mudança na estrutura do setor de conferência para viabilizar a implementação da gestão por processos. A principal contribuição do estudo, diz respeito às características práticas e gerenciais, visto que, com o mapeamento dos processos, será confirmada a viabilidade de adoção da gestão por processos no setor analisado, bem como os potenciais benefícios para os servidores envolvidos, acarretando redução de ocorrência de erros e retrabalho, bem como maior agilidade na execução de tarefas.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to revisit lean manufacturing and process management to review how these have targeted environmental sustainability and determine whether these have the potential to achieve environmental sustainability in small- and medium-sized companies within the freight transport sector. Design/methodology/approach The methodology for this paper was divided into three steps. The first step involved a narrative literature review, including previously designed search strings. The second step involved a snowball approach, where the identification of new sources departed from previously selected articles. The third step included a completing narrative review to search for the most recent articles published related to the purpose. The analysis was based on the identification of benefits, challenges and the potential of lean and process management to deal with environmental demands among transport companies. Findings The findings suggest a potential of lean and process management for achieving environmental sustainability, if adapted appropriately. The potential is on the operative and strategic levels, respectively. Research limitations/implications This study included two of the concepts from the quality movement from a literature perspective. Hence, there is a need for research to evaluate these results empirically. Additionally, other aspects should be studied within the quality movement for achieving environmental sustainability. Originality/value This paper aims to be a basis and a path for further theoretical and empirical research for the quality movement to support environmental sustainability. This paper particularly aims to fill part of the gap in the literature on how the freight transport sector can enhance environmental sustainability in its operations.

The traditional small and medium enterprise management system has a low efficiency of operation and management. A small and medium enterprise management system based on an edge algorithm is designed in this paper to address this problem. In the proposed algorithm, the management system is used for efficient information transmission and sharing. The system consists of a collaborative function layer, data service layer, basic environment layer, and application layer. The application layer realizes the storage and integration of enterprise information data through the regulation of the collaborative management center and realizes the privacy encryption protection of information based on the protection mechanism of edge computing. The information is transmitted to the data layer for classified storage through the network communication of the basic environment layer. The collaborative function layer takes the process management control engine combined with each service interface to complete the information retrieval of the data layer. It uses the algorithm based on the number of fusion common scoring users and information interest relationship to query and push information. The test results show that the system has good information query performance, pushing query information in one minute. The running function can meet the user needs and effectively achieve information privacy protection.

Easily-accessible and reliable data communication in construction processes ensures high building quality, efficient workflow and secure working environments. The setup of network infrastructure on construction sites provides the necessary condition for timely and effective data communication. This paper researches a solution for on-site networking by implementing an IoT network on a reference construction site in Germany. In contrast to high-cost and high-bandwidth network infrastructure, a Long Range Wide Area Network–LoRaWAN with low cost and low bandwidth was deployed on the site. With additional IoT servers and LoRa-enabled devices, the reference construction site is able to communicate remotely with a robotic lab. In order to validate this concept of LoRaWAN on construction sites, an intra-site logistics and task scheduling system was developed to test the network performance. This paper conducts a preliminary study on the application of the IoT network technology–LoRaWAN in the logistics automation in construction. The test results can be used as references for other automation applications, such as internet of robot, intelligent process management, decision making system, etc.

Pressure process control systems have been refined and used in numerous implementations of in several process industries, pressure process plants are used, including chemical process industries, pharmaceuticals, wastewater treatment, and power plants. Pressure process management is essential in the process industry. Pressure process control systems have been refined and applied to a wide range of pressure process plant applications in a number of industries, including chemical manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, wastewater treatment, and power plants. The execution of such mechanism may result in remote and then the parameters can change over time.

The general trend of automation is currently increasing in life science laboratories. The samples to be examined show a high diversity in their structures and composition as well as the determination methods. Complex automation lines such as those used in classic industrial automation are not a suitable solution with respect to the required flexibility of the systems due to changing application requirements. Rather, full automation requires the connection of several different subsystems, including manual process steps by the laboratory staff. This requires suitable workflow management systems that enable the planning and execution of complex process steps. The integration of mobile robots for transportation tasks is currently an important development trend for realizing full automation in life science laboratories. The article "Workflow Management System for the Integration of Mobile Robots in Future Labs of Life Sciences" presents the development and application of a hierarchical workflow management system (HWMS) as a top-level process management and control system. This concept combines the typical hierarchical automation structure with novel approaches for the integration of transportation tasks with variable degrees of automation. The aim is to create a general-purpose workflow management system that can be used in different areas of the life sciences, regardless of the specific device components and applications used.

Purpose: The purpose of the paper is to introduce SW based decision-making tool that helps managers cope with risks and uncertainties of selected industrial processes. The solution is substantiated by the theoretical background. Methodology/Approach: The research is based on combination of contextual interviews with process management experts and Business Process Modelling Notion (BPMN). The former is aimed at the identification of industrial processes with highest risk exposure the latter is conducive to the design of processes to be subjected to stochastic simulation. Findings: The findings show that the risks and uncertainties in the management of industrial processes can be kept under control when using advanced tools of risk analysis as simulation approaches. The solution proposed comes in handy to risk analysts or process managers. Research Limitation/Implication: The library of process models which were included into stochastic simulation includes selected processes as investments, service providing or economic value-added engineering. Additional processes are being included on ongoing basis. Originality/Value of paper: The paper offers the solution to industrial process risk management which goes far beyond academic sphere and provides industrial practitioners SW tool that facilitates process risk management.

The research is aimed at solving some problems of controlling the processes of monitoring the process of mine water purification by mobile technological complexes with variations in its costs and physical and chemical characteristics. The initial data are the results of discrete and continuous monitoring of the characteristics of the treated water and the technological mode of reagent-free water treatment by a mobile technological complex. The analysis of the problems that arise when choosing the observation procedures necessary to solve the problem of predicting a non-stationary random process with varying mathematical expectation, variance, and the type of distribution laws itself is performed. To ensure the stability of the water treatment process in the statistical sense, a procedure for parametric identification of the predictive model from a limited sample is proposed. The requirements for monitoring the quality of process management at the upper hierarchical level of the mine water treatment management system are formulated.

El estudio se basa en los resultados del análisis acerca del servicio al cliente, la gestión por procesos y la comunicación interna; igualmente, en los conocimientos y resultados obtenidos que contribuyen a mejorar la información, formas de transmitirlos y los niveles organizacionales: inferior y jerárquico en la gestión de procesos; y, asimismo, en el conocimiento de la aplicación del proceso de investigación científica en tal problemática. El objetivo general es determinar cómo influye la comunicación interna y la gestión por procesos en el servicio al cliente en la empresa Nick Manager Solutions SAC, distrito de San Miguel, 2020. La muestra fue de 90 personas (45 clientes y 45 trabajadores). Los principales resultados fueron que los valores Ji cuadrado 25,160 y p=0,000 < α, los cuales indican que la variable servicio al cliente depende de las variables comunicación interna y gestión de procesos, es decir, las variables no son autónomas, por lo que existe sumisión de una variables en las otras. Se concluye que existe influencia positiva entre la comunicación interna y la gestión por procesos en el servicio al cliente, pues el valor de R2, es de 0,788, es decir el modelo explica en un 78,8% a la variable real.

Effective knowledge management is a powerful driver for product and organizational growth. Knowledge management allows for the efficient creation, sharing and use of information. But it is not entirely clear what basic knowledge is involved in agile practice and how teams handle it. The main aim of the article was the theoretical and empirical analysis of the agile knowledge management approach. The principles of knowledge management in connection with agile methodology were examined in the cognitive-theory section. The methodology is based on a case study applying an observational technique within an online organization. The empirical part presents a theoretical model that describes how knowledge management is used in the agile approach. These findings can aid in the understanding of agile knowledge management practices inside an online company, which includes iterative development, knowledge management and engineering practices. The results show that agile knowledge management improved in the organization’s proactive process management. The significant influence is observed on staff efficiency, economic growth, and hence on customer loyalty, which boosts corporate morale while reducing resource consumption.

The article deals with the process management's issues of digital transformation in companies. The emphasis is made on the consideration of program's projects as interrelated components with the features of emergency system, not as a weakly interconnected complex (linear set) of projects. Authors propose the organizational model of transformation's program management and the new approach to prioritizing projects based on the use of network analysis. The suggested method allows to evaluate the role of the project in the transformation program and its impact on the other projects, as well as its impact on the planned benefits of the program. It also allows to distribute resources between projects and to assess the risks of the program as a whole. The article focuses on the differences of medium-sized companies' management methods, on the one hand, from companies in small business, and on the other hand, from large companies. The application of the method was tested at a medium-sized poultry farm. The analysis of projects of the real program was made, the network model of the program was built, and the probability of projects' and the program at all success was estimated. The evaluation of the program indicators allowed the authors to make conclusions about priorities of separate projects. The proposed approach can be used in various companies, regardless of industry affiliation.

Complex products such as satellites, missiles, and aircraft typically have demanding requirements for dynamic data management and process traceability. The assembly process for these complex products involves high complexity, strong dynamics, many uncertainties, and frequent rework and repair, especially in the model development stage. Achieving assembly data management and process traceability for complex products has always been a challenge. A recently proposed solution involves one-to-one mapping of the corresponding physical entity, also known as the digital twin method. This paper proposes a digital twin-based assembly data management and process traceability approach for complex products. First, the dynamic evolutionary process of complex product assembly data was analyzed from three dimensions: granularity, period and version. Then, a framework of digital twin-based assembly data management and process traceability for complex products was constructed. Some core techniques are: 1) workflow-based product assembly data organization and version management; 2) synchronous modeling of the product assembly process based on digital twin; and 3) hierarchical management and traceability of product assembly data based on digital twin. On this basis, an algorithm flowchart for generating a product assembly data package was created, which includes product assembly data management, assembly process traceability, and generation of a product assembly data package. Furthermore, the Digital Twin-based Assembly Process Management and Control System (DT-APMCS) was designed to verify the efficiency of the proposed approach. Some aerospace-related assembly enterprises are currently using DT-APMCS and achieving satisfactory results. Finally, a summary of our work is given, and the future research work is also discussed.

The subject of the study are the processes of building models of prototypes of business processes "AS–IS", reflecting the current activities of the enterprise. To build the "AS–IS" model, event logs are used, which contain a record of operations with timestamps implemented during the operation of the enterprise. Construction of the process model "AS–IS" in the use of logs is performed by means of intellectual analysis of processes. The resulting model of the prototype of the business process has the form of a graph showing all known from the log of events of its implementation. The aim of the work is to increase the efficiency of process control implementation by developing the technology of building prototype models of the process "AS–IS" in the conditions of disordered business processes and erroneous input data. To achieve this goal, the article solves the following tasks: development of technology for modeling business process prototypes; experimental verification of technology. The following results were obtained. The technology of automated prototyping of business process models "AS–IS" has been developed, which includes the stages of structuring event logs in a process-oriented form and further construction of business process models by methods of intellectual analysis of processes. The developed technology allows to obtain a graph model of a business process prototype, which is used in the implementation of process management within the first and second levels of process maturity. On the basis of the received model "AS–IS" the improved process model "TO–BE" is formed. The experimental test showed that the developed technology provides the construction of a process-oriented log and the subsequent formation of a prototype model of a business process that reflects the current activities of the enterprise.

The national agricultural potential is driven by its current state and agricultural structure development. To date, Ukraine is a leader among the major suppliers of agri-food products to the European Union. However, domestic agriculture sector is still facing a critical need for effective reforms, including its organizational structure, where the key element is the creation of transparent procurement and distribution infrastructure through implementation of the cooperatives paradigm and their further integration with trade as well as processing and food industry enterprises. So far globally, the idea of cooperation has long been translated in a clear economic and legal framework which effectively operates as association of small and medium-sized producers through the creation of individual affluent agricultural business entities – the cooperatives. The United States of America demonstrates best practices in their successful creation and functioning. Given the particularly strong large scale international partnership relations between Ukraine and the US in a number of economic and social areas, including assistance in boosting cooperative movement, an emphasis is put towards the need to provide insights and suggest a rationale for further development of cooperatives in Ukraine along with enhancing the process management effectiveness based on successful good practice and advancements in the US agribusiness that underpinned the research agenda of this article. The research findings have revealed that the cooperation of the Ukrainian agriculture enterprises leaves much room for improvement. The number of newly created cooperatives demonstrates slow dynamics; the legislative framework lacks consistency and is inadequate to address the burning issues. The study has identified the key barriers that hamper further development of domestic agricultural cooperation along with discussing the benefits, best practices of implementation, types and specific features of the cooperative form of doing business in the USA. Major challenges in the domestic agricultural cooperation development at macro- and microlevels have been observed and evaluated together with suggesting actions to tackle them. In particular, pathways to enhance the performance of agricultural cooperatives through the transition to more effective process management are proposed.

Ensuring performance efficiency is the primary objective of any business. In the context of the evolution of market environment, economic activity of enterprises, which contributes to gaining competitive advantages and ensuring the stability of their market positions, depends on the timely and sound strategies for enterprise efficiency management. The purpose of this article is to provide a reasoned argument to enhance the nature and the concept of enterprise performance management. Based on the research findings, the study presents a model for assessing the enterprise performance efficiency, identifies the key approaches to assessing performance efficiency along with suggesting promising areas for enhancing enterprise efficiency management. To attain the research objectives, the following research methods have been employed, in particular, the method of logical generalization, and the systemic and substrate approach – to build a model for assessing the enterprise performance efficiency. The synthesis of all measures to improve the enterprise efficiency offer an opportunity to group them into three areas: 1) cost management policies: use of resources that encourage enterprises to manage stocks; increasing productivity and cutting wages; reducing resource intensity; 2) measures to develop and improve production efficiency encouraging enterprises to boost the implementation of the results of research, technology and innovation; harnessing forms and methods of organizational management, its planning and internal motivation to further developing, increasing product quality and competitiveness, etc.; 3) measures to enhance the enterprise management system that contribute to mobilizing internal and external resources. In this context, it should be noted that enterprise efficiency is measured by a range of absolute and relative performance indicators that triggers a need to identify and specify the areas for action and use of internal and external factors to increase the enterprise efficiency with due regard to: technology, equipment, material resources, finished products, staff, organization and systems, working procedures, management style, national economic and social policy, infrastructure, structural transformations in society, etc. It is argued that only by thorough consideration of the whole range of impact factors, businesses can increase their efficiency, competitiveness and gain competitive advantages. The research findings results demonstrate that addressing the issue of enhancing enterprise efficiency, a company has to ensure the maximum possible outcome per each unit of labor, material and financial cost. It has been proven that an integrated criteria and indicators framework is a valid and reliable tool to provide in-depth analysis and perform an integrated assessment of the enterprise efficiency. This approach should facilitate better use of available resources based on a set of socioeconomic indicators, contribute to identifying the areas for improving enterprise efficiency and encourage businesses to employ the identified reserves. Implications for further research suggest efforts to build an effective organizational and economic mechanism for managing the enterprise efficiency and ensuring pathways to increase efficiency.

This study was aimed at creating an effective model of the educational ecosystem in a singularity environment. The study is based on a system of general scientific methods of scientific knowledge, in particular, the method of expert assessment, the method of analogy and comparative analysis. The experts, with the support of facilitators, visualized the possible future of education as a symbiosis of individual and collective learning paths that connect learners with many learning spaces and educational opportunities. To ensure the operability of such a model of the educational ecosystem, it is necessary to create tools and processes that support personal and collective learning and development throughout life, including: processes and tools that help determine the goals of learners; educational processes integrated into the educational trajectory and developing various aspects of personal and collective existence through holistic educational experiences, including play and co-creation; processes and tools that measure learning outcomes; educational spaces and technologies that help to combine personal and collective educational trajectories, coordinating individual educational needs with the evolving needs of communities. With several employees in Banking and Financial Services Corporations using cloud infrastructure and reporting incidents arising in using cloud infrastructure, it is of prime importance to fix incidents reported within specific timelines. IT change management process is followed in order to adhere to IT governance & compliance framework and reduce risk of failure while performing changes in cloud infrastructure. With incident management and change management processes are aligned to keep cloud infrastructure available and secure, they become integral part of IT operations everyday activity. To make ITIL processes efficient, further organization specific policies are developed. With global standards and organization level controls in place, there are failures in IT incident and change management processes and implementation. In this paper, we have identified the risk arising due to incident management and change management processes that lead to emergency changes being implemented on cloud infrastructure architecture and discussed the steps to mitigate risks to bring greater responsibility and accountability for cloud services providers.

Aim . The presented study aims to develop a reference model of a system of processes for controlling the parameters of technological processes of installations involved in the production of commercial petroleum products. Tasks . The authors use specially designed mathematical models to select optimally configured parameters of technological processes based on the criterion of minimizing production costs; consider the need to supply final petroleum products in quantities determined by a system of contracts with customers; formulate the process landscape of an oil refinery and identify the main business processes. Methods . The methodological basis of this study includes the process approach, process management, decision-making theory, and optimization theory. The study uses information about the business processes of an oil refinery and the results of research on the development of specialized mathematical models for the predictive analytics of petroleum production. Results . The result of the study is a model of the system of basic business processes of an oil refinery, with a focus on the subsequent automation of processes based on the developed models. Conclusions . By constructing the process landscape and identifying the main business processes of an oil refinery, it is possible to build a reference model for the system of processes for controlling the parameters of technological processes involved in oil refining. Further research will focus on optimizing and automating this system of business processes.

El objetivo de la investigación se enfoca en el desarrollo de software al momento de emprender, que tenga una herramienta o pueda proveerse de las herramientas teóricas y metodológicas necesarias para la concepción e implantación de Sistemas de Gestión, que van desde la planeación estratégica y la gestión por procesos, alcanzando con esto los resultados esperados es decir cumpliendo los objetivos estratégicos de la empresa, permitiendo de esta manera resolver unas de las mayores interrogantes al momento de emprender que son ¿cómo se puede afrontar a la competencia? ¿Cuál es el valor agregado que les ofrece a los clientes? Para poder responder a las interrogantes fue necesario realizar un análisis de la realidad de las empresas desarrolladoras de software en diferentes sectores y con distinta población, para el caso de estudio se tomaron empresas de la ciudad de Cuenca. De igual manera, la investigación permite la alineación de los objetivos estratégicos con los procesos de la empresa, estableciendo una metodología que posibilita al desarrollador implementar una serie de pasos que van desde la toma de requerimientos hasta la entrega final del aplicativo al cliente; también facilita el trabajo con el uso adecuado de herramientas necesarias que permiten optimizar el tiempo y los costos.

La presente investigación surge ante la necesidad de dar solución a las deficiencias en la gestión de la información generada de los procesos estratégicos y claves del sistema de gestión integrado (SIG) de la ECOING no.12 de Cienfuegos. Debido a la importancia que tienen estos procesos para el cumplimiento de los objetivos estratégicos de la empresa surge la idea de desarrollar una solución de gestión de procesos de negocio (BPM), ya que la misma presenta en su trabajo una gestión por procesos. Ante la citada problemática, el presente trabajo se planteó como objetivo el estudio de metodologías para el análisis, diseño e implementación de estos procesos utilizando la tecnología BPM. La metodología propuesta fusiona las mejores técnicas de “Business Process Management: Rapid Analysis & Design” (BPM: RAD) y “Polymita”, dando como resultado una metodología concreta y práctica para la implementación de los procesos estratégicos y claves de dicha empresa.

PurposeThis research aims to deal with the analysis of the concept of balance scorecard (BSC) integrated maritime process management in a marine course.Design/methodology/approachSeveral research studies found that managers lacked a basic understanding of a BSC approach to evaluate a maritime course. This paper analyzes the theoretical and practical approach of strategic BSC tool, analyzing the risks and threats regarding marine accidents.FindingsThe conclusion is that the BSC can be applied as a maritime process management to course design. Students were assigned a BSC project in a foundational course and completed a survey to establish if the BSC enhanced their knowledge and understanding of maritime process within a maritime safety process.Research limitations/implicationsFuture research would be advised to include a more geographically and randomly selected maritime accident sample.Practical implicationsBased on the application of BSC, it was concluded that a better understanding of how maritime safety process management operates holistically was attained.Originality/valueThis research sheds light on a phase of the maritime safety process that has been neglected so far in the maritime education training and generates insights for maritime industry how they can formalize this process and how they can deal with it more systematically.

O turismo é um setor altamente afetado pela pandemia e requer a implementação de mudanças com grande agilidade. Este artigo tem como objetivo refletir sobre o que se pode aprender com a gestão de negócios turísticos, ao apresentar alguns dos principais temas que relacionam os impactos da Covid-19 com a gestão de serviços turísticos. São utilizadas duas abordagens metodológicas complementares: a) levantamento bibliográfico de artigos acadêmicos sobre Covid-19 e turismo; b) coleta sistemática de relatórios, artigos de especialistas do setor e documentos de associações de classe. Tais materiais foram analisados por meio de uma análise de conteúdo com o software Nvivo. Quatro grandes dimensões surgiram sobre a gestão de serviços turísticos pós-covid: gestão de processos, gestão de instalações e capacidade, gestão de pessoas e gestão das interações com clientes. Tais temas podem ser explorados em pesquisas futuras como forma de trazer esclarecimentos sobre a gestão de negócios em geral e de negócios turísticos em particular.

Objective: This paper aims to analyse the process management in the traceability system LeTtrA Q of goat and sheep milk, and thus contribute to the knowledge of the business value chain in Andalusia. Methodology: Five process management variables were studied: sample status (EM), sample results (RM), time from the sample collection to the reception in the laboratory (TT-R), time from sample reception to its analysis (TR-A), and the total time from the sample collection to its analysis (TT-A). A sample of 84,484 goat milk (628 farms) and 7,507 sheep milk (53 farms) was analyzed. A non-parametric analysis of variance was applied to the qualitative variables, while an univariate analysis was performed to the quantitative variables. Results: The comparative analysis has shown significant differences in the process management variables for the factor year and type of laboratory. Limitations: This study focuses on a single case study resulting in a limited generalization of its findings. Practical implications: The study of process management in the agri-food system contributes to the improvement of food security and it is a useful tool to enhance the technical-economic management of the farms.

The article formulates the main tasks of constructing a system for managing the process of crop production in the open field based on technologies and tools of operational management, managerial accounting, automation of the collection, transmission and processing of information of process parameters. Ways of solving these problems are determined. The principles of distinguishing operations during the decomposition of the crop production process are proposed.

Business process management (BPM) is considered a source of improvement for business efficiency and effectiveness, although its correct implementation is a tough challenge to most organizations. In this line, some authors noted how certain organizational culture acts as a precursor of a successful BPM implementation. However, there is insufficient empirical research in this regard. Covering this gap is the objective of the present research. The study adopted a non-probability convenience sampling method to obtain 187 participants who are executives of Peruvian companies. Using partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) for the data analysis, we found that oganizational culture is an antecedent that positively influences the success of a correct BPM implementation and has a direct and indirect relationship with process outcomes and maturity. We also identified which elements are most relevant to process success. Based on our findings, it is not advisable that organizations direct their efforts only to the implementation of process management practices, they should also analyse and carry out previous actions to set the right organizational culture conditions. This study shows evidence to extant traditional maturity models and consider culture as an isolated antecedent. Besides, it is the first to be developed with data from a Latin American country—Peru.

The world is blazing with change and digital innovation is fuelling the fire. Process management can help channel the heat into useful work. Unfortunately, research on digital innovation and process management has been conducted by separate communities operating under orthogonal assumptions. We argue that a synthesis of assumptions is required to bring these streams of research together. We offer suggestions for how these assumptions can be updated to facilitate a convergent conversation between the two research streams. We also suggest ways that methodologies from each stream could benefit the other. Together with the three exemplar empirical studies included in the special issue on business process management and digital innovation, we develop a broader foundation for reinventing research on business process management in a world ablaze with digital innovation.

Manapság a rohamosan fejlődő világunkra az állandó változás jellemző. A szervezeteknek ezekre a rendszeres változásokra fel kell készülniük és tudniuk kell reagálni, hogy a piaci versenyben érvényesülni tudjanak. Ma már semmi sem állandó vagy prognosztizálható, mert a szervezetket a „3 V” erő (vevők, verseny, változás) hajtja. Az állandóan változó körülményekhez való gyors alkalmazkodás miatt a hagyományos funkciók alapján strukturált szervezetek helyett a vállalatoknak a folyamatszemléletű irányításra kell átállniuk. A korszerű folyamatmenedzsment eljárások alkalmazásával a szervezetek működése áttekinthetővé, elemezhetővé, mérhetővé és folyamatosan javíthatóvá tehető, továbbá hozzásegíti a vállalatokat, hogy növeljék a teljesítményüket és a szervezeti rugalmasságukat és csökkentsék a költségeiket is. Ezek mellett annak a felismerésében is segít, hogy az adott folyamatot mikor szükséges valamilyen hatásra megváltoztatni. Abban az esteben, ha a vállalatok jól megszervezett folyamatokat alakítanak ki, akkor rugalmasabban tudnak reagálni a piaci változásokra és a hatékonyabb működést teszi lehetővé, valamint egyszerűbb fejlesztési tevékenységet kivitelezni. Napjainkban a fejlődés, mint egy új keretrendszer elsősorban a digitalizációt állítja a középpontba, amely a vállalatok számára kihívást jelent és ezekhez alkalmazkodniuk kell, hogy a versenyben ne maradjanak alul. Ezek a kihívások sok szervezet életében radikális változtatásokat, átalakításokat igényelnek, amelyeket nehéz teljesíteni. A folyamatalapú vállalatvezetés kialakításával, viszont ezek a fejlesztések nem csak a multinacionális vállalatok dolgát könnyíthetik meg, hanem a kis- és közép vállalatok is adott esetben könnyeben el tudnak mozdulni a digitalizáció irányába, így nem csak a saját, hanem egy egész gazdaság fejlődését előidézhetik.

PurposeCustomer centricity has evolved into a success factor for many companies, requiring all corporate activities – including business processes – to be aligned with customer needs. With most existing approaches to business process (re-)design focusing on process efficiency, customers are often treated as second-class citizens. Despite emergent research on customer process management, there is a lack of guidance on how to design customer-centric business processes.Design/methodology/approachThe authors conducted a structured literature review and analyzed companies awarded for outstanding customer centricity to compile design heuristics for customer-centric business processes. The authors iteratively validated and refined these heuristics with experts from academia and industry. Finally, the heuristics was grouped according to their expected impact on interaction capabilities to enable their prioritization in specific settings.FindingsThe authors proposed 15 expert-approved and literature-backed design heuristics for customer-centric business processes together with real-world examples. The heuristics aim at increasing customer satisfaction with interaction-intensive core processes, which is an important driver of corporate success.Originality/valueThe design heuristics complement existing efficiency-centered (re-)design heuristics. They reflect cognitive shortcuts that support process analysts in the generation of innovative ideas during process (re-)design. The heuristics also add to customer process management and help put customer centricity into practice.

Objective: The objective of the article is to mark the introduction of process changes in relation to the Emergency Travel Document service by The Foreign & Commonwealth Office. The paper analyses the changes and relates them to process and cost management strategies. Thus, it presents how process efficiency may be managed Methodology: The article is of a theoretical and practical nature. The method used in the theoretical part is a review of literature on process management. The second part includes an analysis of The Foreign & Commonwealth Office’s own documents. Findings: The use of digitalization greatly facilitates the process for British citizens who are abroad and need to obtain a travel document. This facilitation applies to both customers and FCO employees. Numerous factors influence the processing time reduction, which in turn increases productivity. Value Added: This article presents an example of the practical use of digitization in the process of issuing the Emergency Travel Document. The value is to show the impact of modern technologies on improving the processes for the organization itself (in the form of optimizing operational costs and increasing efficiency) and for the customers. Recommendations: The use of digitization can be successfully implemented to streamline organizational processes. It can help in reducing their time and limiting human involvement. Increased productivity lowers the cost of a single unit of the service. The changes allow for a more standardized and repeatable service. The approach can be used to manage processes in any organization; though practical implications outlined in the text can serve as an example for other organizations offering similar services.

How to satisfactorily implement the public–private partnership (PPP) network is the most important target for infrastructure and public services policymakers. In this article, we elaborate on how project- and process-management styles can combine to deliver a satisfactory PPP. This paper uses a fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis to investigate the relationship between management styles and PPP network outcomes. Specifically, we examine the management tools (i.e. results orientation, control, communication and flexibility) and their joint effects on PPP network outcome. Results show that three combinations of sufficient conditions yield satisfactory PPP network outcomes consisting of project- and process-management styles.
