Background In response to the COVID‐19 pandemic, telehealth digital applications (apps) permitted the delivery of health care to millions of individuals, including those with poor access to health services. Aim To review a body of evidence demonstrating that telehealth and mobile health (mHealth) apps can promote clinically meaningful weight loss, and thus hold potential to increase access to treatment and weight loss care for individuals suffering from obesity. Results Data from COVID‐19 pandemic revealed that access to telehealth and mHealth remains a challenge for underserved communities that are disproportionately affected by obesity. Conclusions The development of telehealth and mHealth for obesity treatment must be informed by the success and failures of telehealth during the COVID‐19 pandemic. Failure to do so, risks alienating the very populations that stand most to benefit from telehealth and mHealth apps for obesity treatment.

Purpose The linkage between patient-reported data and medico-administrative claims is of great interest for epidemiologic research. The goal of this study was to assess the willingness of people living with chronic pain to share personal identifiers on the web for the linkage of medico-administrative and patient-reported data. Methods This methodological investigation was achieved in the context of the implementation of the COPE Cohort. A web-based recruitment initiative targeting adults living with chronic pain was conducted in the province of Quebec (Canada). Results A total of 1935 participants completed the questionnaire (mean age: 49.86 ± 13.27; females: 83.69%), 921 (47.60%) of which agreed to data linkage and shared their personal identifiers (name, date of birth, health insurance number) online. The most common reasons for refusal were: concerns regarding data security/privacy (25.71%), and the belief that the requested data were too personal/intrusive (13.52%). Some participants did not understand the relevance of data linkage (11.81%). Participants from the COPE Cohort and those from the subsample who agreed to data linkage were comparable to other random samples of chronic pain individuals in terms of age and pain characteristics. Conclusions Although approximately half of the participants refused data linkage, our approach allowed for the implementation of a data platform that contains a diverse and substantial sample. This investigation has also led to the formulation of recommendations for web-based data linkage, including placing items designed to assess willingness to share personal identifiers at the end of the questionnaire, adding explanatory videos, and using a mixed-mode questionnaire. Light or sunlight can be converted into electricity using solar panel technology. The measurement process is needed on current and voltage parameters to determine whether a solar panel is working correctly or not. The application of the Internet of Things (IoT) is a suitable method for monitoring efficiency measurements on solar panel performance in real-time by combining several computational components, protocols, and sensors to interact more quickly and help all activities become more efficient. One IoT technology that can work efficiently is the Long Range Wide Area Network (LoRaWAN). LoRa communicates using radio frequencies with a wide coverage range and has a low power consumption level. In this study, the implementation of LoRaWAN technology as a communication protocol between three series of nodes and one gateway in building a solar panel system is then visualized on a web that can monitor currents and voltages in the form of graphs and numbers. Displays notifications when there is a change in the condition of the large voltage from the solar panel can control the state of turning on or off the lights and turning off the whole node, and displaying a history of current and voltage readings. The functionality of the system will later be tested using black-box testing. There was also a distribution of questionnaires to 35 respondents to measure the level of agreement that the system designed was running well.

Curug SMPN 1 is one of the state senior high schools in Tangerang regency, precisely in Curug district. The teacher absentee system in implementing learning has been running and is considered ineffective because it still has to record in books which are considered inefficient. To facilitate the need for teachers to record reports in books and to make it easier for supervisors, a web-based information system design was created. The method used is a prototype model using the help of an application from Adobe. With the prototype it is expected that the use of the WhatsApp service can be used to provide information to parents. The use of this prototype method is expected to be developed in other schools.

Introduction: There are few studies on e-Health interventions directed at parents that analyse their costs and any potential savings that may occur. The aims of this study consisted of calculating the costs of the development and maintenance of a paediatric web site for parents, including the costs per visit and per visitor, and the potentially savings made as regards medical visits avoided as a result of its use. Methods: The technology costs as well as the work of the professionals were considered as costs of the web site. The calculation of the cost of the professionals and the potential savings were based on the official fees and public prices of the Andalusian Public Health Service. Results: During 5 years and 6 months of the study, the total cost of the web site was €45,201.56. The cost per visit received was €0.0155€, and €0.0186 for each single visitor. Among the 516 users that took part in the study, face-to-face visits to Primary Care paediatric clinics were avoided, as well as those to Paediatric Emergency Department, at a savings of €22,263.89. Conclusions: The costs of developing a paediatric e-Health website for parents written in Spanish, using existing and free technologies, are low compared to other forms of e-Health development. Furthermore, the costs are considerably low if they are divided by the total number of visits or the number of visitors. There is also a considerable potential financial saving on contributing to avoid face-to-face visits.

The properties of a web page have a strong impact on its overall loading process, including the download of its contents and their progressive rendering at the browser. As a consequence, web page content has a strong impact on the experience of web users. In this paper, we present WebCLUST, a clustering-based classification approach for web pages, which groups pages into quality-meaningful content classes impacting the Quality of Experience (QoE) of the users. Groups are defined based on standard Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (MIME) content breakdown and external subdomain connections, obtained through in-browser, application level measurements. Using a large corpus of multi-device, heterogeneous web content and QoE-relevant measurements for the top-500 most popular websites in the Internet, we show how WebCLUST can automatically identify relevant web content classes showing significantly different performance in terms of Web QoE relevant metrics, such as Speed Index. We additionally evaluate the impact of content caching and device type on the identification performance of WebCLUST, showing how content classes might look significantly different, depending on the access device type (desktop vs mobile), as well as when considering browser caching. Our findings suggest that Web QoE assessment should explicitly consider page content and subdomain embedding within the analysis, especially when it comes to recent work on Web QoE inference through machine learning models. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study showing the impact of web content on Web QoE metrics, opening the door to new Web QoE assessment strategies.

This paper proposes a technique for the effective use of animation in web products. A study of modern technologies and techniques for creating animations for websites was carried out, namely, the technologies CSS, Javascript, Motion UI were considered and analyzed their pros and cons. Grounding on information obtained, a hypothesis was formulated and a linear technique was created, based on the use of the universal Motion UI technology, providing sequential execution of a number of stages. At the first stage, the user is recommended to connect the Motion UI library. The next step is to determine animation complexity. In case when you have to develop a simple animation, it is advisable to use CSS tools, otherwise, for more complex cases, it is more efficient to use the capabilities of Javascript. In both cases, it is advisable to use Sass tools at the final stage of animation development. The final stage of the methodology is testing, which allows assessing the quality of created animation. The developed technique was applied in the work when creating the animation of the selected object. Testing was carried out using the method of expert assessments with a preliminary survey of the invited focus group. The expert, who was a professional developer, was asked to create 20 animations using CSS, Javascript and Motion UI technologies for a pre-designed object. The development time was recorded with software. Further, the developed animations were given to a focus group for review and the web page effects loading time was estimated on a five-point scale. The experiment results analysis carried out using the methods of mathematical statistics indicates that the proposed method, which involves the use of the Motion UI technology, can reduce not only the animation development but loading time as well. Thus, we can conclude that the developed methodology differs from the existing methods in high efficiency. In general, the technique meets expectations of experts and is appropriate for use.,

[Abstract] Serving the community is what the Internet — in the broad sense — does in many ways, within the knowledge society. The layers of its ontological structure — technology infrastructure, the Web, and the cloud computing and practical applications (apps) — are in principle at the service of society. This service is carried out by companies, which are ethically assessable insofar as they are “social subjects.” Their public service purpose at the three layers during the coronavirus lockdown is considered here. Within a framework of business ethics, this article looks deeply at companies as “social subjects.” They contribute decisively to a multilayered reality that reaches half of the world's population. The analysis of this network of networks is carried out through rationality and responsibility. Thus, this paper analyzes its ethical responsibility based on the social ontology of business firms and the ethical problems according to the kind of rationality involved in the companies — micro, meso or macro — in accordance with their goals. Then, from the perspective of service to society, this study reflects on business ethics of the Internet — in the broad sense — in two directions: 1) the need for evaluative rationality or rationality of ends, because instrumental rationality or rationality of means is insufficient for ethics, and 2) the importance of combining individual responsibility with social responsibility.

Highlights • Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) associates with infection susceptibility. • COVID-19 is a pandemic infectious disease with high morbidity and mortality. • The impact of COVID-19 in SLE is poorly characterised. • A web-based survey amongst patients with SLE suggest a moderate increase in morbidity due to COVID-19. • Hydroxychloroquine does not seem able to prevent COVID-19 in patients with SLE., Background Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic disease characterised by autoimmunity and increased susceptibility to infections. COVID-19 is a systemic viral disease currently spreading as a pandemic. Little is known about the impact of COVID-19 in patients with SLE. Objective to acquire information on the impact of COVID-19 in SLE. Methods A 26-item anonymous questionnaire investigating demographics, SLE clinical features, COVID-19 diagnoses and changes in treatments and daily habits was administered to patients with SLE from three referral centres through www.surveymonkey.com over 10 days. Data from the survey were compared to those from published estimates about the general population. Results Four-hundred-seventeen patients responded to the survey. More than 60% of subjects complained of symptoms that are also associated to COVID-19. Fourteen COVID-19 diagnoses (five confirmed by polymerase chain reaction) were reported, in contrast to a 0.73% prevalence of confirmed cases in Lombardy. One hospitalisation was reported. Fever, anosmia, dry cough, a self-reported history of neuropsychiatric SLE and a recent contact with confirmed COVID-19 cases were more strongly associated with COVID-19, as were symptoms and lower compliance to behavioural preventive measures in patients’ contacts. No protective effect was seen in subjects on hydroxychloroquine. Conclusion COVID-19 morbidity might only moderately be increased in most patients with SLE, although limited information can be inferred on more severe cases. Hydroxychloroquine apparently seems not to confer protection to infection per se, although other beneficial roles cannot be excluded. Containment policies and behavioural preventive measures could have a major role in limiting the impact of COVID-19 in patients with SLE.

For the first time in Ukraine, Woven EndoBridge (WEB) (Microvention – Terumo) for the treatment of intracranial arterial aneurysms was applied at Scientific and Practical Centre of Endovascular Neuroradiology of NAMS of Ukraine on November 29, 2018. To the end of 2019 4 patients were treated with WEB. In all patients aneurysms were accidental findings, diagnosed by magnetic resonance imaging, and confirmed by angio-graphy. Men were 2 (50 %), women – 2 (50 %). The average age of patients was 49 years. All aneurysms were complex for endovascular treatment. In 3 (75 %) cases, the aneurysm was located on the anterior cerebral/anterior connective arteries, in 1 (25 %) case – on the middle cerebral artery. All patients received double disaggregated therapy at the standard dosage (75 mg of clopidogrel and 75 mg of acetylsalicylic acid) during 5 days before surgery in case of an additional intracranial stent implantation. The efficacy of dual disaggregation therapy was monitored by light transmission agrigometry. The size of the WEB depended on the angioarchitectonics of the aneurysm. All surgeries were performed in a routine manner, under general anesthesia. In all cases, the WEB was implanted successfully, there were no intra- and postoperative complications. The next day after surgery, double disaggregation therapy was canceled. All patients were discharged from the hospital in satisfactory condition, under the supervision of a neurologist at the place of residence. A control examination in the form of angiography after 6 months passed all patients. The efficacy of aneurysm occlusion using the WEB embolization device was evaluated on the WEB occlusion scale. Grade 0 and 0’ were achieved in 2 (50 %) patients, Grade 1 – 1 (25 %), Grade 2 – 1 (25 %).

Purpose: Digital tools have been used to document cultural heritage with high-quality imaging and metadata. However, some of the historical assets are totally or partially unlabeled and some are physically damaged, which decreases their attractiveness and induces loss of value. This paper introduces a new framework that aims at tackling the cultural data enrichment challenge using machine learning. Design/methodology/approach: This framework focuses on the automatic annotation and metadata completion through new deep learning classification and annotation methods. It also addresses issues related to physically damaged heritage objects through a new image reconstruction approach based on supervised and unsupervised learning. Findings: The authors evaluate approaches on a data set of cultural objects collected from various cultural institutions around the world. For annotation and classification part of this study, the authors proposed and implemented a hierarchical multimodal classifier that improves the quality of annotation and increases the accuracy of the model, thanks to the introduction of multitask multimodal learning. Regarding cultural data visual reconstruction, the proposed clustering-based method, which combines supervised and unsupervised learning is found to yield better quality completion than existing inpainting frameworks. Originality/value: This research work is original in sense that it proposes new approaches for the cultural data enrichment, and to the authors' knowledge, none of the existing enrichment approaches focus on providing an integrated framework based on machine learning to solve current challenges in cultural heritage. These challenges, which are identified by the authors are related to metadata annotation and visual reconstruction. 2020, Emerald Publishing Limited. Hobby metal detecting is a controversial subject. Legal and policy approaches differ widely across national and regional contexts, and the attitudes of archaeologists and heritage professionals towards detectorists are often polarized and based on ethical or emotive arguments. We, the European Public Finds Recording Network (EPFRN), have implemented collaborative approaches towards detectorist communities in our respective contexts (Denmark, England and Wales, Finland, Flanders, and the Netherlands). Although our motivations are affected by our national circumstances, we base our work on an agreed set of goals, practices, and visions. This article presents the EPFRN's vision statement and provides insight into its underlying thoughts. We hope to create a debate on how to develop best practice approaches that acknowledge the inherent challenges of hobby metal detecting while realizing its potential.

For a domain with a strong focus on unambiguous identifiers and meaning, the Semantic Web research field itself has a surprisingly ill-defined sense of identity. Started at the end of the 1990s at the intersection of databases, logic, and Web, and influenced along the way by all major tech hypes such as Big Data and machine learning, our research community needs to look in the mirror to understand who we really are. The key question amid all possible directions is pinpointing the important challenges we are uniquely positioned to tackle. In this article, we highlight the community's unconscious bias toward addressing the Paretonian 80% of problems through research - handwavingly assuming that trivial engineering can solve the remaining 20%. In reality, that overlooked 20% could actually require 80% of the total effort and involve significantly more research than we are inclined to think, because our theoretical experimentation environments are vastly different from the open Web. As it turns out, these formerly neglected "trivialities" might very well harbor those research opportunities that only our community can seize, thereby giving us a clear hint of how we can orient ourselves to maximize our impact on the future. If we are hesitant to step up, more pragmatic minds will gladly reinvent technology for the real world, only covering a fraction of the opportunities we dream of.

Big data attracts the attention of governments and a lot of companies today. The developments in technology and the Internet make it one of the important sources of big data. It is easy to get lost in the enormous amount of information contained on the Internet if there were no search engines. Knowing how the search engines work will be helpful to access the desired information. This work aims to be a guide for accessing the right information and also to help to understand search engine stemming and indexing algorithm for interested parties. In this article, we have developed a framework that could be used to investigate the stemming mechanisms of search engines. Our framework also uses Word2vec to analyze semantic relations. We have used our framework to investigate the stemming algorithm of the search engine Bing for English language. In order to achieve that we have used this framework to select words, create queries, send them to Bing, and finally analyze the millions of returned results. We have discussed the results in the context of our article. The results indicate that our framework is useful for analyzing the stemming mechanisms of search engines.

Crop protection information, such as how to control emergent and outbreak crop diseases and pests, as well as the latest research, regulations, and quality control measures for pesticides and fertilizers, is important to farmers. Rural smallholder farmers in Tanzania have traditionally relied on government agricultural officers who visit them in their villages to provide this crop protection information. However, these officers are few and cannot reach all the farmers on time. This means that farmers fail to make critical farming decisions on time, which can lead to low crop productivity. In this study, we aim to provide farmers with reliable and instant crop protection information by developing a system based on the Short Message Service (SMS) and the Web. This system automatically replies to farmers’ requests for the latest crop protection information in the Swahili language through SMS on a mobile phone or a Web system. The findings reveal that our proposed system can provide farmers with crop protection information at lower cost (500 times cheaper) than the existing Tigo Kilimo system. Furthermore, our proposed system’s deep learning model is effective in understanding and processing Swahili natural language SMS queries for crop protection information with an accuracy of 96.43%. This crop protection information will help farmers make better critical farming decisions on time and improve crop productivity.

Publisher Copyright: © 2021 IEEE. The need of manufacturing industries to adapt to the demand from customers and the volatile market drives the need for digitalization to realize the so-called smart factory. Smart factory, Compared to traditional factories, smart factory needs to possess high flexibility and stability and often has to employ digital twin. Compared to IEC 61131-3 standard used in traditional industrial production, IEC 61499 standard can bring more advantages to meet the realization of Smart Factory, such as flexibility, distribution and event-driven execution. In this paper, we propose a new Virtual Commissioning (VC) architecture for IEC 61499-based control applications. We build an online collaborative VC platform with the help of cloud computing and containerization technologies. Furthermore, we discuss and propose the utilization of soft-PLC containers from different vendors to meet users' commissioning requirements for different hardware configurations. Compared with the traditional offline single-person debugging method, our proposed architecture can improve the flexibility, collaboration and efficiency of control software debugging in a more interactive and collaborative style via the online platform we implemented.

Photoelectrochemical (PEC) reactors based on polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) electrolyzers are an attractive alternative to improve scalability compared to conventional monolithic devices. To introduce narrow band gap photoabsorbers such as BiVO4in PEM–PEC system requires cost-effective and scalable deposition techniques beyond those previously demonstrated on monolithic FTO-coated glass substrates, followed by the preparation of membrane electrode assemblies. Herein, we address the significant challenges in coating narrow band gap metal-oxides on porous substrates as suitable photoelectrodes for the PEM–PEC configuration. In particular, we demonstrate the deposition and integration of W-doped BiVO4on porous conductive substrates by a simple, cost-effective, and scalable deposition based on the SILAR (successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction) technique. The resultant W-doped BiVO4photoanode exhibits a photocurrent density of 2.1 mA·cm–2, @ 1.23 V vs RHE, the highest reported so far for the BiVO4on any porous substrates. Furthermore, we integrated the BiVO4on the PEM–PEC reactor to demonstrate the solar hydrogen production from ambient air with humidity as the only water source, retaining 1.55 mA·cm–2, @ 1.23 V vs RHE. The concept provides insights into the features necessary for the successful development of materials suitable for the PEM–PEC tandem configuration reactors and the gas-phase operation of the reactor, which is a promising approach for low-cost, large-scale solar hydrogen production.

[EN] As a result of the diverse apprenticeships carried out in different companies, each one with truly different training processes, the idea of carrying out a business-related final year project has arisen. This project studies the roles of the mentor or leader and their effect on the training process. First, this project studies various leadership theories and, specifically, it shows how Hersey and Blanchard's situational leadership theory can be applied to a practical setting. The project discusses how situational leadership theory can be applied to the student's work experience in a tertiary sector company, Infoverity. The company is an IT consultancy in which the intern student is currently working and is being trained as a consultant in MDM (Master Data Management). The usefulness of this theory and other leadership theories will also be analyzed from a critical point of view. Second, in an attempt to link what has been learned about leadership and understanding the role of the mentor as that of a leader, a development proposal (together with a functional prototype) of a web application for forecasting training needs will be carried out. This tool should help company managers to predict the hours required to train certain types of new hires. The requirements for the development of this web application will be specified through the use of a questionnaire that will be sent to some specific roles in the company where the student currently works.

Background The Woven EndoBridge (WEB) aneurysm embolization device is a relatively recent developed intrasaccular flow disruptor committed to intracranial wide-neck and complex aneurysm occlusion. In this study, we aimed to assess hemodynamic profiles of an AcomA aneurysm treated with WEB Single Layer (WEB-SL) to shed light on the understanding of hemodynamic alterations in the context of a recanalized aneurysm. Methods Image-Based computational fluid dynamics (CFD) was used to simulate pre and post-treatment blood flow of an anterior communicating aneurysm treated with WEB-SL. The simulated velocity field was used to visualize and quantify velocity, wall shear stress (WSS), and pressure distributions. Results Following WEB deployment, infiltration of flow and mean velocity magnitude were decreased considerably within the aneurysm sac. WSS was the only measured index that demonstrated a dual hemodynamic pattern; it reduced along the superior half of the aneurysm sac while slightly increased in the neck region. At one-year follow-up, angiography showed recanalization of the aneurysm, and the WEB had been pushed to the dome. Conclusions All assessed hemodynamic parameters reduced significantly from pre to post-WEB placement in the sac of AcomA aneurysm; however, recanalization may happen secondary to filling the proximal portion of the WEB-SL and increased WSS in the neck of the aneurysm. Conduction of larger studies is warranted to elaborately investigate the potential role of CFD techniques for correlating the hemodynamics indices with clinical outcomes.

"This preprint corresponds to the paper that appears, with the same title and authors, in the Proceedings of the 9th IEEE Working Conference on Software Visualization, virtual (intended to be in Luxembourg), September 27-28 2021" Over the past decades, researchers proposed numerous approaches to visualize source code. A prominent one is CODECITY, an interactive 3D software visualization that leverages the “city metaphor” to represent software system as cities: buildings represent classes (or files) and districts represent packages (or folders). Building dimensions represent values of software metrics, such as the number of methods or the lines of code. There are many implementations of CODECITY, the vast majority of them running on-screen. Recently, some implementations visualizing CODECITY in virtual reality (VR) have appeared. While exciting as a technology, VR’s usefulness remains to be proven. The question we pose is: Is VR well suited to visualize CODECITY, compared to the traditional on-screen implementation? We performed an experiment in our interactive web-based application to visualize CODECITY. Users can fetch data from any git repository and visualize its source code. Our application enables users to navigate CODECITY both on-screen and in an immersive VR environment, using consumer-grade VR headsets like Oculus Quest. Our controlled experiment involved 24 participants from academia and industry. Results show that people using the VR version performed the assigned tasks in much less time, while still maintaining a comparable level of correctness. Therefore, our results show that VR is at least equally wellsuited as on-screen for visualizing CODECITY, and likely better.

This article addresses the adoption and use of Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) in the entry pages of the official websites of all (308) Portuguese municipalities. This is relevant because such websites are typically used to provide transactional services to citizens, and citizens need to trust that websites are authentic and that confidentiality and integrity of the information exchanged is assured in the communication process. Automated and, whenever needed, manual analyses were used to investigate the entry pages. Specifically, we checked for the existence of an HTTPS site; the correctness of website certificates and their certification chain; coherence between contents of the HTTP and HTTPS versions of websites; redirection from the HTTP version of a website to its HTTPS version; the existence of resources fetched using HTTP in HTTPS versions of websites; and exploitation of HSTS. A Quality Indicator was then defined and a classification of the municipalities into quality groups was produced. Possible determinants for the results obtained by the municipalities were also investigated. The general conclusion is that there is still much to be done to assure that citizens can communicate securely with the websites of all Portuguese municipalities, since only 3.6% of the municipalities were considered good, while 46.1% do not guarantee the minimum conditions. We argue that these results are associated with the fact that most Portuguese municipalities do not have the critical technical and managerial mass to correctly implement and maintain their websites. To mitigate this limitation, we propose the dissemination of technical instructions on how to correctly configure and deploy municipal HTTPS websites and the creation of shared services between the smaller municipalities.

This is a narrative review of telemonitoring (remote monitoring) projects and studies within the field of diabetes, with a focus on results of the more recent studies. Since the beginning of the 1990s, several telemedicine projects and studies focused on type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Over the last 5 years, numerous telemedicine projects based on connected objects and new information and communication technologies (ICT) (elements defining telemedicine 2.0) have emerged or are still under development. Two examples are the DIABETe and Telesage telemonitoring project which perfectly fits within the telemedicine 2.0 framework – the first to include artificial intelligence (AI) with MyPrediTM and DiabeoTM. Mainly, these projects and studies show that telemonitoring diabetic result in: improvements in control of blood glucose (BG) level and significant reduction in HbA1c (e.g., for Telescot et TELESAGE studies); positive impact on co-morbidities (arterial hypertension, weight, dyslipidemia) (e.g., for Telescot and DIABETe studies); better patient’s quality of life (e.g., for DIABETe study); positive impact on appropriation of the disease by patients and/or greater adherence to therapeutic and hygiene-dietary measures (e.g., The Utah Remote Monitoring Project); and at least, good receptiveness by patients and their empowerment. To date, the magnitude of its effects remains debatable, especially with the variation in patients’ characteristics (e.g., background, ability for self-management, medical condition), samples selection and approach for the treatment of control groups. All of the recent studies have been classified as “Moderate” to “High”.

Programming environments have evolved from purely text based to using graphical user interfaces, and now we see a move toward web-based interfaces, such as Jupyter. Web-based interfaces allow for the creation of interactive documents that consist of text and programs, as well as their output. The output can be rendered using web technology as, for example, text, tables, charts, or graphs. This approach is particularly suitable for capturing data analysis workflows and creating interactive educational material. This article describes SWISH, a web front-end for Prolog that consists of a web server implemented in SWI-Prolog and a client web application written in JavaScript. SWISH provides a web server where multiple users can manipulate and run the same material, and it can be adapted to support Prolog extensions. In this article we describe the architecture of SWISH, and describe two case studies of extensions of Prolog, namely Probabilistic Logic Programming and Logic Production System, which have used SWISH to provide tutorial sites.

The prestressed hollow-core slab (PHCS) is a precast concrete member that can maximize productivity and structural performance efficiency of concrete cross-section. For the PHCS members produced by extrusion method, however, it is difficult to provide the shear reinforcement due to its unique production method to form the hollow-cores in concrete section. The recently revised ACI318 Building Code Requirements stipulate that web-shear capacity of thick hollow-core member over 315 mm depth without the minimum shear reinforcement should be reduced in half, which may result in an excessively conservative shear design for the PHCS member compared to conventional prestressed concrete members with thin webs. In this study, shear tests on PHCS members, which have typical thicknesses widely used in precast construction industry, were conducted, and a large number of shear test data were additionally collected from previous studies to evaluate the current shear design criteria for PHCS in detail.

Introduction: Cancer cachexia is a common associate of cancer and has a negative impact on both patients' quality of life and overall survival. Nonetheless its management remains suboptimal in clinical practice. Provision of medical recommendations in websites is of extreme importance for medical decision making and translating evidence into clinical practice. Aim of the study: To scrutinize the magnitude, consistency and changes over time of cancer-cachexia recommendations for physicians on the Web among oncology related societies. Intercontinental, continental, national and socioeconomic variations were further analyzed. Material and methods: Web identification of oncology related societies and prospective analyses of relative Web guideline recommendations for physicians on cancer-cachexia at different time-points. Results: In June 2011, we scrutinized 144,000 Web pages. We identified 275 societies, of which 270 were eligible for analyses: 67 were international (African, American, Asian, European, Oceania and Intercontinental), 109 belonged to the top 10 countries with the highest development index and 94 pertained to 10 countries with a long lasting tradition in medical oncology. Conclusions: The magnitude of cancer cachexia recommendations for physicians on the Web at a global level was scant both for coverage and consistency, and at any time-point considered: 3.7% (10/270) in 2011 and 8.1% (22/270) in 2018. The proportion of societies giving evidence-based and updated recommendations for cancer cachexia for physicians was only 1.1% (3/270) in 2011 and 2.96% (8/270) in 2018. Continent, national highest developmental index, oncology tradition and economic-geographic areas were not found to influence Web guideline provision.

This study examines the intention of environmentally-oriented social enterprises to continue using Green IS (an eco-localization website here) in Herefordshire located in the West Midlands region of the United Kingdom. The Herefordshire Greenlinks (HGL) Association is a local business community that operates primarily through the HGL Website in order to help local social enterprises find and trade local eco-friendly goods and services. It is an example of a "market-based" approach to solving social and environmental issues that is inspired by a bottom-up view of community development and eco-localization. Based on the theory of uses and gratification of media use and the new environmental paradigm, we propose a research model that outlines the various factors contributing to intention to continue using an eco-localization website. The research model and its associated hypotheses were empirically tested using a dataset generated from a survey of 83 small social enterprises. The results demonstrate the importance of three different types of gratification - content, social and performance gratification as well as users' environmental concerns in determining the intention to continue using an eco-localization website. This study contributes to the Green IS literature by extending research to the social sector environment, and it also provides practical insight for designers of such community-led eco-localization websites.

In edge computing service, edge devices collect data from a number of embedded devices, like sensors, CCTVs (Closed-circuit Television), and so on, and communicate with application servers. Since a large portion of communication in edge computing services are conducted in wireless, the transmitted data needs to be properly encrypted. Furthermore, the application servers (resp. edge devices) are responsible for encrypting or decrypting a large amount of data from edge devices (resp. terminal devices), the cryptographic operation needs to be optimized on both server side and edge device side. Actually, the confidentiality and integrity of data are essential for secure communication. In this paper, we present two versions of security software which can be used on edge device side and server side for secure communication between them in edge computing environment. Our softwares are basically web-based application because of its universality where the softwares can be executed on any web browsers. Our softwares make use of ESTATE (Energy efficient and Single-state Tweakable block cipher based MAC-Then-Encrypt)algorithm, which is a promising candidate of NIST LWC (National Institute of Standards and Technology LightWeight Cryptography) competition and it provides not only data confidentiality but also data authentication. It also implements the ESTATE algorithm using Web Assembly for efficient use on edge devices, and optimizes the performance of the algorithm using the properties of the underlying block cipher. Several methods are applied to efficiently operate the ESTATE algorithm. We use conditional statements to XOR the extended tweak values during the operation of the ESTATE algorithm. To eliminate this unnecessary process, we use a method of expanding and storing the tweak value through pre-computation. The measured results of the ESTATE algorithm implemented with Web Assembly and the reference C/C++ ESTATE algorithm are compared. ESTATE implemented as Web Assembly is measured in web browsers Chrome, FireFox, and Microsoft Edge. For efficiency on server side, we make use of OpenCL which is parallel computing framework in order to process a number of data simultaneously. In addition, when implementing with OpenCL, using conditional statements causes performance degradation. We eliminated the conditional statement using the loop unrolling method to eliminate the performance degradation. In addition, OpenCL operates by moving the data to be encrypted to the local memory because the local memory has a high operation speed. TweAES-128 and TweAES-128-6, which have the same structure as AES algorithm, can apply the previously existing studied T-table method. In addition, the input value 16-byte is processed in parallel and calculated. In addition, since it may be vulnerable to cache-timing attack, it is safely operated by applying the previously existing studied T-table shuffling method. Our softwares cover the necessary security service from edge devices to servers in edge computing services and they can be easily used for various types of edge computing devices because they are all web-based applications.

Background Patients with schizophrenia (SZ) present a higher level of cardiovascular morbidity than the general population due to poor physical fitness and a sedentary lifestyle. Moreover, despite major therapeutic advances in the management of SZ, some clinical symptoms remain resistant to pharmacological approaches. A large number of studies support the effectiveness of physical activity (PA) for both physical and mental health in SZ. The main objective of the present study is to assess the effects of a remote, web-based adapted PA program (e-APA) compared to a health education program (e-HE) on brain plasticity in SZ and healthy volunteers (HV). The secondary objectives are to assess the effects of e-APA on other cerebral variables as well as clinical, neurocognitive, circadian, biological, and physiological variables. Methods: The study is an interventional, multicenter, randomized open-label controlled trial. Forty-two SZ will be randomized to either the active group (e-APA, N = 21) or non-active group (e-HE, N = 21), and 42 HV will be matched to SZ according to age, gender, and level of PA. Interventions will consist of 32 sessions (2x60 minutes/week, for 16 weeks) via supervised home-based videoconferencing. The active group will carry out an individualized PA program of moderate to vigorous intensity. Pre- and post-intervention cerebral magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) will be performed to evaluate changes in global hippocampal volume. Other cerebral assessments using diffusion tensor imaging, arterial spin labelling, spectroscopy and resting-state functional MRI will be performed. In addition, clinical, neurocognitive and circadian rhythms assessments as well as physical tests and biological analyses will be conducted. Discussion: To our knowledge, this is the first study aiming to evaluate the efficacy of APA delivered by supervised home-based videoconferencing in SZ. Moreover, using multimodal MRI, this study could clarify the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying the efficacy of APA. Finally, this innovative approach (remote, web-based APA) might also increase participation in long-term PA since PA-based programs are known to have low adherence and early dropout. The results of this study should promote the inclusion of PA interventions as a novel adjunctive therapy for SZ. Trial registration: ClinicalTrials.gov identifier: NCT03261817. Registered on 16 August 2017.

TouchTerrain is a simple-to-use web application that makes creating 3D printable terrain models from anywhere on the globe accessible to a wide range of users, from people with no GIS expertise to power users. For coders, a Python-based standalone version is available from the open-source project's GitHub repository. Analyzing 18 months of web analytics gave us a preliminary look at who is using the TouchTerrain web application and what their models are used for, and to map out what terrains on the globe they chose to 3D print. From July 2019 to January 2021, more than 20,000 terrain models were downloaded. Models were created for many different use cases, including education, research, outdoor activities and crafting mementos. Most models were realized with 3D printers, but a sizable minority used CNC machines. Our own experiences with using 3D printed terrain in a university setting have been very positive so far. Anecdotal evidence points to the strong potential for 3D printed terrain models to provide significant help with specific map-related tasks. For the introductory geology laboratory, 3D printed models were used as a form of “training wheels” to aid beginning students in learning to read contour maps, which are still an important tool for geology.

The development of information and communication technologies has enabled companies to spread messages globally, allowing them to open new markets and reach international clients. In this sense, the multilingual dissemination of corporate information plays a key role, and, for this purpose, websites are great communication vehicles. The aim of this paper is to offer an overview of the internet presence of SMEs in Andalusia, along with their intention to reach international targets via the multilingual dissemination of corporate information, as well as determining the variables that influence these factors. To meet these objectives, a sample of 1,425 SMEs has been analyzed. Results show that 52.3% of the companies evaluated had a website and only 10.3% of them offered their content translated to, at least, one language, and that variables such as company size, area of specialty, and location may have an impact on these two aspects. The findings reveal that more research and policies are required to support SMEs in their digitalization and internationalization process.

Internet is now an indispensable tool for the acquisition of travel. Most travelers plan their vacations for this media. Assuming that all marketing process involves four variables: product, price, distribution and communication, we focus on the distribution channel and its relationship with communication. This is because there has been a process of reintermediation with the appearance of new agents and disappearance of other, classic and traditional. In this process the destination promotion organizations position themselves as a new channel of distribution- communication online of travel products.

The aim of this paper is to develop a web application where scholars of the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering (FINKI) at the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius can display and share their projects and publications. Visitors can view, search through, and filter the authors, projects and publications that can be added and edited by the administrators via the administrator panel. In this paper, we first explain the type of system we are building and go through similar existing systems explaining how they work and what they offer. Then, we go through the programming languages and technologies we decided to use to develop this web application. After that, the development phase follows, where we describe each of the features we implemented. In The Final Product section we finally show images where you can see how the web application works and what it looks like. We finish the paper with a conclusion, briefly summarizing what we have achieved.

The article analyses the Internauts’ information security culture and discusses the theoretical fundaments of this psycho-social phenomenon. Three hypotheses was formulated, assuming that: (1) Internet users represent varying levels and nature of the information security culture, (2) there is a close relationship between Internet users’ information security culture and their online activity, and (3) the information security culture of Internet users can be improved in the education process. All hypotheses were positively verified. This verification was based on the method of analyzing the literature on the subject and the available statistical data as well as the method of synthesis. The author examined the information security culture elements regarding the Internet users. The quoted examples allowed a conclusion the level and character of the Internauts’ information security culture is varying and related to their activities in the cyberspace. The necessity to upgrade individual qualifications through formal and lifelong education was also indicated.

We implement a cryptographic library using Web Assembly. Web Assembly is expected to show better performance than Javascript. The proposed library provides comprehensive algorithm sets including revised CHAM, Hash Message Authentication Code (HMAC), and ECDH using the NIST P-256 curve to provide confidentiality, data authentication, and key agreement functions. To optimize the performance of revised CHAM in the proposed library, we apply an existing method that is a four-round combining method and additionally propose the precomputation method to CHAM-64/128. The proposed revised CHAM showed an approximate 2.06 times (CHAM-64/128), approximate 2.13 times (CHAM-128/128), and approximate 2.63 times (CHAM-128/256) performance improvement in Web Assembly compared to JavaScript. In addition, CHAM-64/128 applying the precomputation method showed an improved performance by approximately 1.2 times more than the existing CHAM-64/128. For the ECDH using P-256 curve, the naive implementation of ECDH is vulnerable to side-channel attacks (SCA), e.g., simple power analysis (SPA), and timing analysis (TA). Thus, we apply an SPA and TA resistant scalar multiplication method, which is a core operation in ECDH. We present atomic block-based scalar multiplication by revising the previous work. Existing atomic blocks show a performance overhead of 55%, 23%, and 37%, but atomic blocks proposed to use only P=(X,Y,Z) show 18%, 6%, and 11% performance overhead. The proposed Web Assembly-based crypto library provides enhanced performance and resistance against SCA thus, it can be used in various web-based applications.
