The article discusses ways by which the human resources (HR) team can improve internal communication. The three key recommendations are establishing clear objectives, knowing one's audience and empowering employees. The establishment of clear objectives includes correct and concise information, correct grammar and punctuation and avoiding jargon. Knowing one's audience will ensure that the right tone and the right method of communication is used, either through memos or emails. The use of humor, level of directness and number of facts, statistics or visual effects varies depending on the culture.
