Objective To evaluate patterns of insulin secretion in pregnancy and analyze the association between insulin patterns and risks of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). Methods A prospective study was conducted to collect and analyze pregnant women's materials from January 2015 to December 2018. Pregnant women were grouped according to results of 75-g oral glucose tolerance test at 24-28 weeks of pregnancy: normal glucose tolerance (NGT) and GDM. Insulin secretion patterns were based on the time of peak(s) and shape of insulin secretion curve. The relationship between insulin secretion patterns and pregnant outcomes was analyzed. Results A total of 2432 pregnant women met the inclusion criteria during the study period. Among them, 737 (30.3%) women were grouped as GDM and 1695 (69.7%) as NGT. Type I insulin secretion represented the early phase of insulin secretion (peak time at 30 or 60 minutes), while type II represented the delayed peak of insulin secretion (peak time at 120 or 180 minutes). Logistic regression analysis showed that type II insulin secretion was a risk factor of pre-eclampsia, large-for-gestational-age, and neonatal hypoglycemia. Conclusion The delayed insulin peak is a useful marker for risk of GDM and adverse pregnant outcomes in women with GDM.

In this demonstration, we develop an interactive tool, HIVE, to demonstrate the ability and versatility of an explainable risk ranking model with a special focus on financial use cases. HIVE is a web-based tool that provides users with automated highlighted financial statements, and HIVE is designed for making comparing statements rather more efficient. Moreover, with the proposed tool, users can find related reports at ease, and we believe that HIVE can benefit both academics and practitioners in finance as they can work around deep learning models with their newly gained insights.

The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak, which has caused millions of confirmed infections and thousands of deaths, has been the most devastating worldwide crises recently. The main clinical symptoms of confirmed COVID-19 cases include fever, dry cough, general fatigue, respiratory symptoms, diarrhoea and sore throat, similar to those of acute respiratory distress syndrome. SARS-CoV-2, the causative agent of COVID-19, belongs to a novel coronavirus strain against which no drug or vaccine currently exists. Therefore, research units around the world have been actively developing efficient diagnostic tools and new drugs. This review summarises the clinical manifestations of COVID-19, analyses the viral genome sequence and life cycle, identifies methods for preventing viral transmission, discusses possible molecular pharmacologic mechanisms and approaches in the development of anti-SARS-CoV-2 virus therapeutic agents and introduces management measures against COVID-19 in Taiwan, especially policies for a name-based mask distribution system. Finally, we summarise traditional Chinese medicines (TCM) for COVID-19. Based on all the information accumulated in this review, development of novel anti-viral agents, vaccines for SARS-CoV-2 therapy or an effective combination therapy can be expected. Finally, we would like to extend our best regards to the frontline health workers in their global fight against COVID-19.

Objective To investigate the prevalence of different human papillomavirus (HPV) subtypes and their association with human leukocyte antigen (HLA) class II alleles in China. Patients and methods A total of 16,168 married Chinese women in Maoming City of Guangdong province were tested for high-risk HPV infection. High-resolution typing of HLA-DRB1/DQB1 alleles was also performed on samples found to be infected with HPV. Results All in all, HPV-52, −58, −16, −18, and −53 were the five most common subtypes of HPV, with an incidence of high-risk HPV infection of 7.14%. Among women at high-risk of HPV infection, −DRB1*0403 (3.12% vs. 1.67%, odds ratio [OR] 1.894), −DQB1*0602 (3.74% vs. 1.82%, OR 2.094), and −DQB1*0609 (2.02% vs. 0.91%, OR 2.249) frequencies were higher than in controls. In contrast, −DQB1*0402 (0.31% vs. 1.29%, OR 0.239) in women with high-risk HPV infection exhibited a significantly decreased frequency compared to the controls. Conclusion Our results strongly support previous findings from other populations that −DRB1*0403 and −DQB1*0602 may be risk factors for HPV infection and subsequent development of cervical cancer. Moreover, unlike the European population, −DQB1*0402 may protect rather than render Maoming women susceptible to HPV infection.

Aiming at the testing requirement of the light source of KM6 large solar simulator, a set of integrated measuring system for ignition and optical performance of high power short-arc xenon lamp is developed, which is used for function verification of xenon lamp trigger and power supply control system, measurement of optical performance parameters such as luminous efficiency, light distribution curve and optical efficiency of xenon lamp. Thus it provides reliable data support for the selection of light source, optical system design and operation of solar simulator.

In order to reduce the noise interference in the weak current signal detection process, this paper presents several methods of noise reduction that are suitable for weak current measurement. The analysis of amplifier noise, low-noise technology for circuit board, anti-alias filtering, ADC filtering, Notch filters and other methods were analyzed, and the shielding effect of the guard ring was modeled and simulated by COMSOL Multi-physics software. This study has practical application significance for the collection and detection of weak current signals.

In remote sensing imaging, bidirectional reflectance distribution function (BRDF) is powerful tool to describe light reflectance characteristic. Based on BRDF distribution of ground object, reflectance distribution in all directions will be calculated, and radiation difference of remote sensing imaging can be calibrated. This paper analyzes the several empirical / semi-empirical BRDF model suitable for the rough earth surface. The cement ground was selected as typical experiment topography, and the ground reflectance in all directions at different solar zenith angle was obtained. We compare measurement data to calculation results of three theoretical models, including five parameter model, Staylor & Suttles model and Walthall model, and analyze and evaluate effectiveness of various models.

With the uprating requirements of space remote sensing, the aperture of the optical remote sensor is getting larger and larger. The influences of both the support of optical elements and gravity deformation on the optical system are difficult to conquer. Therefore, it is necessary to compensate the descending optical performance which is caused by the surface error of primary mirror by means of adjusting the position parameters of the optical elements on-orbit. A large aperture coaxial three-mirror optical system is introduced in the paper. Matlab and MetroPro are used to simulate the surface error of the primary mirror. The surface error of the primary mirror is compensated by adjusting the position freedoms of the secondary mirror. The results show that the adjustment of the position freedoms of the secondary mirror can compensate both the coma and some astigmatism of the primary mirror, but not the spherical aberration.

A new style calibration mechanism is designed for the infrared camera working in space. This calibration mechanism adds a locking device, which will produce magnetic force to fix the moving parts on the stage of launch. It has not been taken into account in past calibration mechanism of space infrared camera. In order to simplify structure and control system, an alnico is adopted in locking device as the source of magnetic field, which interacts with magnetic material and produces locking force. In addition, there is also a special structural design, which makes magnetic circuit closeitself to control magnetic leakage interfering with other equipment. Besides, another important component of calibration mechanism is a permanent magnet torquer. It can provide driving force for the blackbody to complete two state conversions of calibration and Non-calibration. High magnetic induction intensity and coercivity alnico is used as the stator, which will lighten the weight of torquer. On-off control strategy is selected in order to simplify the control system. Because calibration is only a temporary state, temperature rise has little influence on torquer. This setup is favorable to increase its reliability. There are guard plates on the axial direction shielding electromagnetism, also reducing magnetic leakage. Experimental investigations have been carried out to verify the feasibility and reliability of design. Result indicates the calibration mechanism can primely complete the calibration task of the space infrared detector. It has an important application value on the field of infrared detection.

The reflector is influenced by force and temperature more and more seriously with the increasing of reflector diameter. The error analysis and adjustment of reflector is important to satisfy the optical performance. In fact, the error of the reflector include figure error, position error and curvature radius error, which are often coupled and difficult to adjust. The method of the separation of the three type errors and way of adjustment are studied in this paper. The separation of the error is following the belows: first, the deformation of the nods on the reflector surface are analyzed and transfered to sag deformation; second, the position error is obtained by the least-square method and adjusted; third, the residual error is fit with the Zernike polynomial and the curvature radius error is acquired and adjusted, at last; the remained error is the high-frequency figure error. A reflector under the load of heat is simulated and analyzed in this paper with the method above. The results indicate that the error of piston and curvature radius are the major errors, so it is possible to adjust the error of piston and curvature radius alone to improve the quality of reflector in optical system, in order to simplify the mount system of the reflector.

FD SOI MOSFETs with MESA and Irradiated FD SOI MOSFETs with LOCOS isolation usually show the edge effect, that is, the leakage current called hump is generated in the subthreshold region. According to different reasons for generating the edge effect, rounded corner process and BTS structure are applied to improve device performance. The results indicate that the above two methods are effective to reduce the edge effect and qualified devices are fabricated successfully.

In this work, we investigate the effects of the indium ion implantation towards the back-channel interface on the total dose hardness of the n-channel SOI MOSFET. The results show that the indium implant has slight impact on the normal threshold voltage while preserving low leakage current after irradiation. The advantage is attributed to the narrow as-implanted and postanneal profile of the indium implantation. Two-dimensional simulations have been used to understand the physical mechanisms of the effects.
