Mobile edge computation (MEC) is a potential technology to reduce the energy consumption and task execution delay for tackling computation-intensive tasks on mobile device (MD). The resource allocation of MEC is an optimization problem, however, the existing large amount of computation may hinder its practical application. In this work, we propose a multiuser MEC framework based on unsupervised deep learning (DL) to reduce energy consumption and computation by offloading tasks to edge servers. The binary offloading decision and resource allocation are jointly optimized to minimize energy consumption of MDs under latency constraint and transmit power constraint. This joint optimization problem is a mixed integer nonconvex problem which result in the gradient vanishing problem in backpropagation. To address this, we propose a novel binary computation offloading scheme (BCOS), in which a deep neural network (DNN) with an auxiliary network is designed. By using the auxiliary network as a teacher network, the student network can obtain the lossless gradient information in joint training phase. As a result, the sub-optimal solution of the optimization problem can be acquired by the learning-based BCOS. Simulation results demonstrate that the BCOS is effective to solve the binary offloading problem by the trained network with low complexity.

AIMS Aerobic training (AT) and resistance training (RT) can reduce blood glucose and type 2 diabetes risk, and increase muscle mass for prediabetes patients. However, the impact of long-term AT and RT on cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk remains unclear. The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of AT and RT on CVD risk reduction in prediabetes patients. MATERIALS AND METHODS 248 prediabetes patients were enrolled in this multi-center randomized controlled trial (RCT). Patients were randomly divided into 3 groups: RT (n = 82), aerobic training (AT (n = 83)), and control group (n = 83). Participants in RT and AT groups had moderate RT or AT 3 times a week (150 min/week) under supervision in 3 research centers for 24 months. Primary outcome was CVD risk measured by Framingham Risk Score (FRS) and The Chinese 10-year ischemic cardiovascular disease (ICVD) risk assessment tool. Secondary outcomes included in HOMA2-IR, HbA1c, blood pressure and serum lipid profile. RESULTS Both RT and AT groups experienced a significant reduction in HOMA2-IR, HbA1c, LDL-C, TC, SBP, and DBP at the end of 12 and 24 months. Whether Fanconi anemia (FA) heterozygotes are predisposed to bone marrow failure and hematologic neoplasm is a crucial but unsettled issue in cancer prevention and family consulting. We retrospectively analyzed rare possibly significant variations (PSVs) in the five most obligated FA genes, BRCA2, FANCA, FANCC, FANCD2, and FANCG, in 788 patients with aplastic anemia (AA) and hematologic malignancy. Sixty-eight variants were identified in 66 patients (8.38%). FANCA was the most frequently mutated gene (n = 29), followed by BRCA2 (n = 20). Compared with that of the ExAC East Asian dataset, the overall frequency of rare PSVs was higher in our cohort (P = 0.016). BRCA2 PSVs showed higher frequency in acute lymphocytic leukemia (P = 0.038), and FANCA PSVs were significantly enriched in AA and AML subgroups (P = 0.020; P = 0.008). FA-PSV-positive MDS/AML patients had a higher tumor mutation burden, higher rate of cytogenetic abnormalities, less epigenetic regulation, and fewer spliceosome gene mutations than those of FA-PSV-negative MDS/AML patients (P = 0.024, P = 0.029, P = 0.024, and P = 0.013). The overall PSV enrichment in our cohort suggests that heterozygous mutations of FA genes contribute to hematopoietic failure and leukemogenesis.

Introduction Recent studies have shown that myosin light chain 9 (MYL9) plays a vital role in immune infiltration, tumor invasion, and metastasis; however, the prognostic and immunological role of MYL9 has not been reported. The purpose of this study was to explore the potential prognostic and immunological roles of MYL9 in human cancers by public datasets mainly including the cancer genome atlas (TCGA) and Gene expression omnibus. Methods The expression pattern and prognostic value of MYL9 were analyzed across multiple public datasets in different cancer. The correlations between MYL9 expression and immune infiltration among multiple cancers were analyzed by using the TIMER2.0. The MYL9‐related gene enrichment analysis was implemented by mainly using KEGG and GO datasets. Results MYL9 was lowly expressed in most cancers, such as breast cancer, lung adenocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma, and stomach adenocarcinoma; but it was highly expressed in several cancers, such as cholangiocarcinoma, head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, and liver hepatocellular carcinoma. Furthermore, MYL9 expression was distinctively associated with prognosis in adrenocortical carcinoma, colon adenocarcinoma, brain glioma, lung cancer, ovarian cancer, gastric cancer, breast cancer, blood cancer, and prostate cancer patients. The expressions of MYL9 were significantly associated with the infiltration of cancer‐associated fibroblasts, B cell, CD8+T cell, CD4+T cell, macrophage, neutrophil, dendritic cell in different tumors as well as immune markers. In addition, we found that the functional mechanisms of MYL9 involved muscle contraction and focal adhesion. Conclusion MYL9 can serve as a prognostic signature in pan‐cancer and is associated with immune infiltration. This pan‐cancer study is the first to show a relatively comprehensive understanding of the prognostic and immunological roles of MYL9 across different cancers., Our first pan‐cancer analyses of MYL9 indicated statistical correlations of MYL9 expression with clinical prognosis, immune cell infiltration across multiple tumors, which aids in understanding the role of MYL9 in tumorigenesis from the perspective of clinical tumor samples. Our results indicated that MYL9 can serve as a prognostic signature in pan‐cancer and is associated with immune infiltration.

Metal halide perovskites are promising semiconductors for next-generation light-emitting diodes (LEDs) due to their high luminance, excellent color purity, and handily tunable band gap. However, it remains a great challenge to develop perovskite LEDs (PeLEDs) with pure red emission at the wavelength of 630 nm. Herein, we report a spectrally stable and efficient pure red PeLED by employing sequential ligand post-treated CsPbI3 quantum dots (QDs). The synthesized CsPbI3 QDs with a size of ∼5 nm are treated in sequential steps using the ligands of 1-hydroxy-3-phenylpropan-2-aminium iodide (HPAI) and tributylsulfonium iodide (TBSI), respectively. The CsPbI3 QD films exhibit improved optoelectronic properties, which enables the fabrication of a pure red PeLED with a peak external quantum efficiency (EQE) of 6.4% and a stable EL emission centered at the wavelength of 630 nm. Our reported sequential ligand post-treatment strategy opens a new route to improve the stability and efficiency of PeLEDs based on QDs.

Background:Continuous peripheral nerve blocks (CPNBs) have been investigated to control pain for abdominal surgery via midline laparotomy while avoiding the adverse events of opioid or epidural analgesia. The review compiles the evidence comparing CPNBs to multimodal and epidural analgesia.Methods:We conducted a systematic review using broad search terms in MEDLINE, EMBASE, Cochrane. Primary outcomes were pain scores and cumulative opioid consumption at 48 hours. Secondary outcomes were length of stay and postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV). We rated the quality of the evidence using Cochrane and GRADE recommendations. The results were synthesized by meta-analysis using Revman. Results: Our final selection included 26 studies (1,646 patients). There was no statistically significant difference in pain control comparing CPNBs to either multimodal or epidural analgesia (low quality evidence). Less opioids were consumed when receiving epidural analgesia than CPNBs (mean difference [MD]: –16.13, 95% CI [–32.36, 0.10]), low quality evidence) and less when receiving CPNBs than multimodal analgesia (MD: –31.52, 95% CI [–42.81, –20.22], low quality evidence). The length of hospital stay was shorter when receiving epidural analgesia than CPNBs (MD: -0.78 days, 95% CI [-1.29, -0.27], low quality evidence) and shorter when receiving CPNBs than multimodal analgesia (MD: -1.41 days, 95% CI [-2.45, -0.36], low quality evidence). There was no statistically significant difference in PONV comparing CPNBs to multimodal (high quality evidence) or epidural analgesia (moderate quality evidence).Conclusion: CPNBs should be considered a viable alternative to epidural analgesia when contraindications to epidural placement exist for patients undergoing midline laparotomies.

INTRODUCTION Our study aimed to investigate the effect of atorvastatin on plaque calcification by matching the results obtained by 18F-sodium fluoride (18F-NaF) positron emission tomography (PET)/computed tomography (CT) with data from histologic sections. METHODS AND RESULTS The rabbits were divided into 2 groups as follows: an atherosclerosis group (n = 10) and an atorvastatin group (n = 10). All rabbits underwent an abdominal aortic operation and were fed a high-fat diet to induce atherosclerosis. Plasma samples were used to analyze serum inflammation markers and blood lipid levels. 18F-NaF PET/CT scans were performed twice. The plaque area, macrophage number and calcification were measured, and the data from the pathological sections were matched with the 18F-NaF PET/CT scan results. The mean standardized uptake value (0.725 ± 0.126 vs. 0.603 ± 0.071, P < 0.001) and maximum standardized uptake value (1.024 ± 0.116 vs. 0.854 ± 0.091, P < 0.001) significantly increased in the atherosclerosis group, but only slightly increased in the atorvastatin group (0.616 ± 0.103 vs. 0.613 ± 0.094, P = 0.384; 0.853 ± 0.099 vs.0.837 ± 0.089, P < 0.001, respectively). The total calcium density was significantly increased in rabbits treated with atorvastatin compared with rabbits not treated with atorvastatin (1.64 ± 0.90 vs. 0.49 ± 0.35, P < 0.001), but the microcalcification level was significantly lower. There were more microcalcification deposits in the areas with increased radioactive uptake of 18F-NaF. CONCLUSIONS Our study suggests that the anti-inflammatory activity of atorvastatin may promote macrocalcification but not microcalcification within atherosclerotic plaques. 18F-NaF PET/CT can detect plaque microcalcifications.

BACKGROUND To evaluate the efficacy and toxicity of docetaxel, cisplatin, and fluorouracil (TPF) regimen followed by intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) on locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). METHODS A total of 150 patients with locally advanced NPC [American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) 2009 stage IIIa-IVb] received 2 or 3 cycles of a TPF regimen as induction chemotherapy. A group of 67 participants (TPF group) continued to receive TPF chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and the remaining 83 participants (P group) received cisplatin chemotherapy and radiotherapy. RESULTS A median follow-up of 35 months (4-66 months) showed that there was no significant difference between P group and TPF group in progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS). The incidence rate of myelosuppression at 3-4 degrees was 16.9% and 34.3% in the P group and TPF group (P=0.029), respectively, and the oral mucosa reaction at 3-4 degrees was 18.1% and 37.3% in the P group and TPF group, respectively (P=0.007). The 3-4-degree skin reaction in the P group and TPF group was 15.7% and 29.9% (P=0.030), respectively. Aim. To study the application value of ankle fracture classification and diagnosis. In this paper, the clinical data of 100 cases of ankle fracture patients admitted from May 2020 to May 2021 were analyzed by CT 3D reconstruction. All patients received surgical treatment and underwent spiral CT 3D reconstruction and X-ray examination before surgery. The results showed that 20 cases (20.00%) of the 100 cases were PER, 24 cases (24%) of the 100 cases were PAB, 31 cases (31%) of the 100 cases were SER, and 25 cases (25%) of the 100 cases were SAB, respectively. Conclusion. The diagnostic accuracy of CT 3D reconstruction for different types of ankle fracture is higher than that of X-ray, and the differences are statistically significant ( P < 0.05 ). CT 3D reconstruction is applied in the early diagnosis of ankle fracture, which can accurately detect the classification of patients. It has important clinical application value and can be used as the first choice for the early classification diagnosis of ankle fracture.

Drug resistance is a key factor in the treatment failure of clinical non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients after adjuvant chemotherapy. Here, our results provide the first evidence that eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2b subunit delta (EIF2B4)-Stratifin (SFN) fusion and increased SFN expression are associated with chemotherapy tolerance and activation of the phosphatidylinositol 3 kinase/v-akt murine thymoma viral oncogene (PI3K/Akt) signaling pathway in NSCLC patients, suggesting that SFN might have potential prognostic value as a tumor biomarker for the prognosis of patients with NSCLC., Graphical abstract

Aims and objectives To assist future offsite planning for pandemics, we documented lived experiences of cooperation among healthcare workers (HCWs) during the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. Background The COVID-19 pandemic poses a global health crisis. Most recent studies on the COVID-19 focus on frontline HCWs' physio-psychological experiences, with few studies examining their experiences of cooperation. Design A descriptive phenomenological design reported based on COREQ checklist. Methods 25 HCWs (17 nurses and eight physicians) were interviewed, selected through convenience and purposive sampling, who participated in a medical aid mission in China during the COVID-19 pandemic. Data were collected via semi-structured online video interviews, and the transcripts were analysed using Colaizzi's phenomenological method. Results The HCWs experienced stressed and anxious, but rated their overall cooperation experience as positive. We categorised the reported experiences in five themes: (1) a multi-level management structure; (2) nurse managers as internal and external team coordinators; (3) high morale and a mutual supportive context; (4) a continuous streamlined workflow; and (5) the value of multidisciplinary collaboration in care. Reasonable management structure and division of work were the basis for successful aid mission. High morale and a mutual supportive context were foundational for growth and stress mitigation. The HCWs continuously streamlined workflow through communication and met patients' individual need through multidisciplinary collaboration. Conclusions Planning for a pandemic aid mission is challenging, given the unpredictable nature of the working circumstances. Our results underline the importance of supportive strategies for COVID-19 aid mission. Relevance to clinical practice Recommendations for future pandemic planning: (1) positive morale and supportive working text should be paid prioritised attention; (2) sufficient experienced and ancillary staff should be recruited; (3) multiple communication channels such as regular handover meetings, online chat applications and electronic recording devices are essential, and (4) multidisciplinary cooperation are is necessary in COVID-19 wards.

Prior reports have examined the relationship between obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and the mortality rate of lung cancer. However, the findings remain controversial. The present meta-analysis was performed to assess the relationship between OSA and increased risk of mortality in patients with lung cancer. PubMed, Web of Science, and Embase were systematically searched for the correlative studies. Data were analyzed and pooled to evaluate odds ratios (ORs) of lung cancer mortality related to OSA. From 249 identified studies, 3 met inclusion criteria and were analyzed, including 67 patients with lung cancer and comorbid OSA and 45 patients with lung cancer and no OSA. The meta-analysis indicated that OSA was not significantly correlated with mortality rate in lung cancer (OR = 2.005, 95% CI = 0.703 to 5.715, z = 1.30, p = 0.193). There was no significant publication bias according to Begg’s tests (p = 0.296) and Egger’s tests (p = 0.097). This meta-analysis suggests that OSA is not significantly correlated with the mortality rate in lung cancer.

Industrial robots can perform delicate operations, and they have good stability and durability. However, robots adapt with difficulty to changes in tasks and environments, and they basically can only perform operations in a fixed logic sequence. In contrast, humans can adapt to changes in the environment at any time due to their strong hand–eye coordination. Humans can quickly adjust their limbs to adapt to changes in targets, distances, and directions, as observed by their visual system; this produces a perfect closed-loop control process called the sensor–actor process. This paper studies the robotic hand–eye coordination problem using a robot playing an eight-puzzle game. First, the robot’s system analyzes changes in the position, angle, and layout of the puzzle board in the scene through an image recognition algorithm. It then formulates a more optimized operation sequence. Next, the system transforms the instructions of moving tiles into the physical coordinate values in the world coordinate system according to the image-understanding result. The robot then moves its hand to accurately point at tiles and move them in the correct direction. These tasks require the robot to perceive various changes in the position, posture, and initial layout of the puzzle board in the scene, and to calculate the motion vector parameters. To validate the proposed approach, field experiments are conducted. The success rate of the move operation was over 96%, which shows that this system based on visual perception can greatly improve the adaptability of the robot, making it more flexible and autonomous, and laying the foundation for expanding the robot’s ability to work in spontaneous scenes.

In this paper, we investigate a circuit implementation of memristor-based chaotic synchronization with a single input controller. Firstly, based on the cubic function model of memristor, a circuit with the grounded flux-control memristor-based hyperchaotic system is designed and implemented. Secondly, a single input controller is proposed to synchronize the two memristor-based hyperchaotic systems, and a sufficient condition of the synchronized system is obtained by the Routh-Hurwitz criterion and minimum phase theory. Then, a circuit of the proposed controller for memristor-based chaotic synchronization system is designed and implemented. Finally, secure communication based on memristor-based chaotic synchronization system is given to show the feasibility of the signal encryption scheme.

Due the energy resource comes from solar energy, resulting in a high working temperature, radiation field has a significant influence on the energy storage efficiency of the high temperature solar thermochemistry. In order to promote the solar energy conversion efficiency of solar driven steam methane reforming (SMR), the idea of regulate the radiation field to be in accordance with the energy conversion on-demand is proposed and the biomimetic leaf-type hierarchical porous structure solar thermochemical reactor is introduced, which can regulate the spatial distribution of solar radiation intensity and optimize the temperature field. Combined with thermochemical kinetics and Finite Volume Method (FVM), the numerical calculation model of the SMR reaction in a biomimetic solar thermochemical reactor is established to optimize the temperature field. The effects of different reaction conditions and reactor parameters on steam methane reforming hydrogen production are analyzed. The results show that methane conversion in the biomimetic leaf-type solar thermochemical reactor is increased by 4.5%.

Wearable biopotential sensing devices are essential to long-term and real-time monitoring of human health. Non-contact, capacitive sensing electrodes prevent potential skin irritations, and are thus beneficial for long-term monitoring. Existing capacitive electrodes are either connected to a separate control circuit via external wires or have limited sensing capacitances, which leads to low signal qualities. This study demonstrates a stretchable capacitive sensing device with integrated electrodes and control electronics, with enhanced signal qualities. The electrodes and the control electronics are fabricated on a common fabric substrate for breathability and strain-limiting protection. The stretchable electrodes are based on an island-bridge design with a stretchability as high as ∼ 100%, and an area ratio as high as ∼ 80%. By using a dielectric calcium copper titanate (CCTO) composite as the adhesive layer, the electrode capacitance can be increased, yielding an enhanced signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) in the acquired biopotentials. This device offers a convenient and comfortable approach for long-term non-contact monitoring of biopotential signals.

The oxygen vacancy caused by ultrathin structures would be introduced into the semiconductor photocatalyst to boost its photocatalytic activity. Herein, ultrathin Bi2O3-Bi2WO6 nanosheet composites have been successfully synthesized via a facile hydrothermal method. Compared to pure Bi2WO6 nanosheets, the Bi2O3-Bi2WO6 nanosheet composites possess abundant oxygen vacancies, which was confirmed by the positron annihilation spectra. The ultrathin Bi2O3-Bi2WO6 nanosheet composites exhibited remarkable photocatalytic degradation performance for oxytetracycline compared with that of pure Bi2WO6 nanosheets. The excellent photocatalytic activities of Bi2O3-Bi2WO6 composites could be attributed to the heterojunction structure and the oxygen vacancies caused by ultrathin structures.

Aims At the beginning of spinal cord injury (SCI), the expression of EphB2 on fibroblasts and ephrin‐B2 on astrocytes increased simultaneously and their binding triggers the formation of astroglial‐fibrotic scars, which represent a barrier to axonal regeneration. In the present study, we sought to suppress scar formation and to promote recovery from SCI by targeting EphB2 in vivo. Methods The female rats SCI models were used in vivo experiments by subsequently injecting with EphB2 shRNA lentiviruses. The effect on EphB2 knockdown was evaluated at 14 days after injury. The repair outcomes were evaluated at 3 months by electrophysiological and morphological assessments to regenerated nerve tissue. The EphB2 expression and TGF‐β1 secretion were detected in vitro using a lipopolysaccharides (LPS)‐induced astrocyte injury model. Results RNAi decreased the expression of EphB2 after SCI, which effectively inhibited fibroblasts and astrocytes from aggregating at 14 days. The expression of EphB2 in activated astrocytes, in addition to fibroblasts, was significantly increased after SCI in vivo, in line with upregulated expression of EphB2 and increased secretion of TGF‐β1 in astrocyte culture treated with LPS. Compared to the scramble control, RNAi targeting with EphB2 could promote more nerve regeneration and better myelination. Conclusions EphB2 knockdown may effectively inhibit the formation of astroglial‐fibrotic scars at the beginning of SCI. It is beneficial to eliminate the barrier of nerve regeneration., Pattern of astroglial‐fibrotic scars formation: The activated astrocytes express ephrin‐B2 also highly express EphB2, which maybe participate in the formation of glial scars. Moreover, the activated astrocytes expressing ephrin‐B2 and the fibroblasts expressing EphB2 together form the astroglial‐fibrotic scars. Therefore, EphB2 knockdown could inhibit the formation of glial scars and astroglial‐fibrotic scars.

Background Accumulated evidence supports the existence of sex-associated differences in immune systems. Understanding the role of sex in immune-related adverse events (irAEs) is important for management of irAE in patients receiving immunotherapy. Methods We performed meta-analysis on published clinical study data and multivariable logistic regression on pharmacovigilance data and applied a propensity algorithm to The Cancer Genome Atlas omics data. We further validated our observations in 2 independent in-house cohorts of 179 and 767 cancer patients treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors. Results A meta-analysis using 13 clinical studies that reported on 1096 female patients (36.8%, 95% confidence interval [CI] = 35.0% to 38.5%) and 1886 male patients (63.2%, 95% CI = 61.5% to 65.0%) demonstrated no statistically significant irAE risk difference between the sexes (odds ratio [OR] = 1.19, 95% CI = 0.91 to 1.54, 2-sided P = .21). Multivariable logistic regression analysis of 12 225 patients from the Food and drug administration Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS) and 10 979 patients from VigiBase showed no statistically significant difference in irAEs by sex. A propensity score algorithm used on multi-omics data for 6019 patients from The Cancer Genome Atlas found no statistically significant difference by sex for irAE-related factors or pathways. The retrospective analysis of 2 in-house patient cohorts validated these results (OR = 1.55, 95% CI = 0.98 to 2.47, false discovery rate = 0.13, for cohort 1; OR = 1.16, 95% CI = 0.86 to 1.57, false discovery rate = 0.39, for cohort 2). Conclusions We observed minimal sex-associated differences in irAEs among cancer patients who received immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy. It may be unnecessary to consider sex effects for irAE management in clinical practice.

Background Sebum secretion is affected by many internal and external factors. Objective To identify risk factors in terms of family history, body mass index, selected dietary factors, personal habits, and menstrual history that may be associated with oily skin in young women. Participants and methods We conducted a case-control study of young women aged 18-35 who came to Beijing Tongren Hospital for attending a health checkup. Cases were subjects with subjective skin type as oily skin. Control subjects were people with normal or dry skin. A standardized questionnaire on subjective skin type, family history of oily skin in first-degree relatives, menstrual history, personal habits, and selected dietary factors was administered to 540 subjects. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were performed for risk factors associated with oily skin. Results A family history in first-degree relatives and a body mass index of more than 24 kg/㎡were risk factors that increases likelihood of oily skin in young women (odds ratio 3.281, 95% confidence interval 2.204-4.882; odds ratio 1.677, 95% confidence interval 1.081-2.600, respectively). For those who consumed more than three servings of milk or sweets per week, the risk increased with the diet (odds ratio 1.634, 95% confidence interval 1.126-2.370; odds ratio 1.970, 95% confidence interval 1.034-3.754, respectively). There was no correlation between smoking, drinking alcohol, or menstrual variables and the risk of oily skin. Conclusions Family history, overweight and obesity, and a diet rich in milk or sweets are risk factors that increase likelihood of oily skin in young women. These findings may provide an opportunity to better guide skin care for patients.

Flexible pressure sensors (FPSs) are widely demanded for accurate pressure sensing on complex surfaces. FPSs using metal nanoparticles (NPs) as the sensing material have high conductivity and good mechanical properties, but poor gauge factor as a trade-off. In this work, a novel design of the AgNP-based FPS is proposed and testified with the help of the electrohydrodynamics-printing technology, so that the gauge factor can be improved from 8 to 286.8, resulting from the localized micro-zone piezoresistance effect. The working principle of the piezoresistive characteristic is discussed, and two methods to further improve and adjust the gauge factor are proposed and experimentally demonstrated.

Although substantive research has shown that a positive perceived school climate is an essential protective factor for cyberbullying among adolescents, little research revealed the mechanisms underlying this relationship. This study examined whether normative beliefs about aggression mediate the association between a positive perceived school climate and cyberbullying and whether this process is moderated by Internet morality. Anonymous questionnaires measuring these variables were administered to 649 junior high school students in China. After controlling for traditional bullying, mediation analysis indicated that normative beliefs about aggression played a full mediating role in the relationship between a positive perceived school climate and cyberbullying. Moderated mediation analysis further revealed that Internet morality moderated the predictive effect of normative beliefs about aggression on cyberbullying. The mediating effect of normative beliefs about aggression was stronger in individuals with lower levels of Internet morality. These findings provide insight into making existing interventions more suitable for cyberbullying.

Optical communication is developing rapidly in the directions of hardware resource diversification, transmission system flexibility, and network function virtualization. Its proliferation poses a significant challenge to traditional optical communication management and control systems. Digital twin (DT), a technology that utilizes data, models, and algorithms and integrates multiple disciplines, acts as a bridge between the real and virtual worlds for comprehensive connectivity. In the digital space, virtual models are established dynamically to simulate and describe the states, behaviors, and rules of physical objects in the physical space. DT has been significantly developed and widely applied in the industrial and military fields. This study introduces the DT technology to optical communication through interdisciplinary crossing and proposes a DT framework suitable for optical communication. The intelligent fault management model, flexible hardware configuration model, and dynamic transmission simulation model are established in the digital space with the help of deep learning algorithms to ensure the high-reliability operation and high-ef-ficiency management of optical communication systems and networks.

Objective Skill competence is essential for nursing students and experiential teaching method has become increasingly popular in China's nursing education. To systematically evaluate the effects of experiential teaching method on the development of nursing students’ skill competence, and to provide evidence for nursing education. Methods The China National Knowledge Infrastructure, VIP, Wanfang Data, PubMed, and Web of Science databases were searched from their inception until November 28, 2019. We screened the studies according to inclusion and exclusion criteria, extracted the data, and assessed the quality. Then, a meta-analysis was conducted. Results Totally 15 studies were included, and 1,633 nursing students were analyzed by Review Manager5.3 and Stata15.1 software. The results show that the experiential teaching method can significantly improve nursing students’ nursing skills such as training (SMD = 1.05, 95% CI: 0.95–1.16, P = 0.000), learning interest (ES = 0.93, 95% CI: 0.79–1.06), ability to analyze and solve problems (ES = 0.75, 95% CI: 0.55–0.94), ability to judge and innovative thinking (ES = 1.01, 95% CI: 0.77–1.25), abilities of understanding and perception (ES = 0.59, 95% CI: 0.34–0.83), and teaching satisfaction (ES = 1.26, 95% CI: 1.13–1.4). Conclusions The results suggest that the experiential teaching method is more effective for the nursing students’ skill competence than traditional teaching in China. However, due to the heterogeneity and bias risk, a large sample and high-quality studies are needed in future to confirm its effectiveness.

Background In this study, we aimed to explore and clarify the function of KIF4A in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). Methods The microarray data were extracted from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database. We then used the database for Annotation, Visualization, and Integrated Discovery (DAVID) to perform the gene ontology function (GO) and KEGG Orthology‐Based Annotation System (KOBAS) to perform Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) analysis of differentially expressed genes (DEGs). The six core candidate genes were identified using protein–protein interaction (PPI) network analysis and Cytoscape software. Among them, the expression of KIF4A were validated by UALCAN database from the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) (P, We found that high KIF4A expression was associated with poor overall survival in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. KIF4A expression also promoted the proliferation and migration of ESCC cells in vitro.

As cloud computing becomes prevalent, more and more data owners are likely to outsource their data to a cloud server. However, to ensure privacy, the data should be encrypted before outsourcing. Symmetric searchable encryption allows users to retrieve keyword over encrypted data without decrypting the data. Many existing schemes that are based on symmetric searchable encryption only support single keyword search, conjunctive keywords search, multiple keywords search, or single phrase search. However, some schemes, i.e., static schemes, only search one phrase in a query request. In this paper, we propose a multi-phrase ranked search over encrypted cloud data, which also supports dynamic update operations, such as adding or deleting files. We used an inverted index to record the locations of keywords and to judge whether the phrase appears. This index can search for keywords efficiently. In order to rank the results and protect the privacy of relevance score, the relevance score evaluation model is used in searching process on client-side. Also, the special construction of the index makes the scheme dynamic. The data owner can update the cloud data at very little cost. Security analyses and extensive experiments were conducted to demonstrate the safety and efficiency of the proposed scheme.

All-inorganic cesium lead halide perovskite colloidal nanocrystals are attractive for next-generation light-emitting diodes because of their high color purity, but the nonradiative Auger recombination in perovskite nanocrystal film limits the efficiency and brightness of the fabricated devices. Here, we introduce a surface-engineering process to exchange the original long-chain oleic acid/oleylamine ligands by the cerium-tributylphosphine oxide hybrid ligands to suppress nonradiative Auger recombination in CsPbBr3 NC film for bright and low-efficiency roll-off light-emitting diodes. Using ultrafast transient absorption and time-resolved photoluminescence spectroscopy, we demonstrate that the hybrid ligand passivation can efficiently remove surface trap states to enhance radiative recombination and homogenize the exciton concentration to suppress nonradiative Auger recombination in the CsPbBr3 nanocrystal thin film. Consequently, we fabricate a light-emitting diode with efficient charge injection into the CsPbBr3 nanocrystal emitting layer, achieving a pronounced improvement of electroluminescence with an external quantum efficiency from 5.5% to 9.1%. More importantly, the efficiency roll-off characteristics of high-brightness light-emitting diodes is effectively mitigated. Our reported hybrid ligand passivation suppressed Auger recombination strategy shows a great potential for fabricating high-brightness cesium lead halide perovskite light-emitting diodes.

It remains unclear whether positive relative accommodation (PRA), negative relative accommodation (NRA), or binocular cross cylinder (BCC) values present differently when manifest refraction (MR) is performed before or after drug-induced mydriasis. This study aimed to compare visual functions in children as measured by refraction and MR after the administration of mydriatics. A total of 483 children (4–18 years old) were categorized into three groups based on MR performed at three visit points: initial MR, refraction after rapid pupil dilation (RRP), and refraction after slow pupil dilation (RSP). The investigated subjects included PRA, NRA, and BCC values. No significant differences in the PRA (P = 0.120), NRA (P = 0.492), and BCC (P = 0.240) values were detected among the MR, RRP, and RSP groups. When the PRA values among different groups were stratified by age, no significant differences were detected. Although there were no statistically significant differences in the NRA values among groups for children aged 4–6 years (P = 0.077) and 7–11 years (P = 0.865), there was a significant difference in the NRA values among groups for children aged 12–18 years (P =0.044). In addition, the BCC values among groups for children aged 7–11 years (P = 0.044) also showed significant differences. Meanwhile, the differences between PRA (P P = 0.016) among emmetropes, pseudomyopes, myopes, and hyperopes were statistically significant, while the refractive error was not affected by MR assessed with BCC (P = 0.380). Performing MR after pupil dilation could replace MR before mydriasis in children aged 4–6 years, while MR before mydriasis could be omitted for children aged 4–6 years.

Although antiretroviral therapy (ART) affects virologic suppression and prolongs life expectancies among HIV-positive patients; HIV-1-associated neurocognitive disorders (HAND) continue to be diagnosed in patients with HIV-1 undergoing treatment. The extensive clinical manifestations of HAND include behavioral, cognitive, and motor dysfunctions that severely affect the patients' quality of life. The pathogenesis of HAND has received increasing attention as a potential avenue by which to improve the treatment of the condition. Many studies have shown that endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress, autophagy, and their interaction play important roles in the onset and development of neurodegenerative diseases. While the accumulation of misfolded proteins can induce ER stress, autophagy can effectively remove accumulated toxic proteins, reduce ER stress, and thus inhibit the development of neuropathy. Through the in-depth study of ER stress and autophagy, both have been recognized as promising targets for pharmacotherapeutic intervention in the treatment of HAND. This review will highlight the effects of ER stress, autophagy, and their interaction in the context of HAND, thereby helping to inform the future development of targeted treatments for patients with HAND.

Background Ganluyin (GLY) is a famous classical prescription with a long history of use as a treatment for inflammatory conditions such as chronic pharyngitis (CP) in many parts of China. However, it has not been developed as a modern pharmaceutic and its anti-inflammatory mechanisms remain unclear. The aim of this study was to assess the anti-inflammatory efficacy of GLY and potential mechanisms in a rat model of CP. Methods The chemical profile of GLY was analyzed by HPLC-UV. We used a mouse model of ear edema and a rat model of paw edema. Specifically, xylene was used to induce edema on the surface of one ear in mice, and carrageenan was injected subcutaneously into the right hind paws of rats to induce paw edema. The paw thickness, ear weight, and ear perfusion were measured and recorded. The CP model in rats was induced by irritating the throat with 5% ammonia and was used to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of GLY. Levels of interleukin-6 (IL-6), interleukin-1β (IL-1β), tumor necrosis factor (TNF-α), and prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) were measured by ELISA in serum, and protein expression of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) and nuclear factor kappa-B p65 (NF-κB p65) in the throat were detected by immunohistochemistry and Western blot to evaluate the anti-inflammatory mechanism of GLY. Hematological assays were also conducted. Results There were four flavonoids identified in GLY: naringin, neohesperidin, baicalin, and wogonoside. The oral administration of GLY showed a significant inhibitory effect on xylene-induced ear swelling and ear blood flow in mice and significantly ameliorated rat right hind paw edema at doses of 6.2 and 12.4 g/kg. Mechanistic studies found that the anti-inflammatory activity of GLY was related to the inhibition of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α, and PGE2 and that GLY reduced the expression of COX-2 and NF-κB p65 proteins in the throat, attenuated throat injury, and reduced inflammatory exudates. Hematological analysis showed that treatment with GLY prevented increases in white blood cell (WBC), neutrophil (NEUT), lymphocyte (LYMPH) and monocyte (MONO) levels. Conclusions These studies indicated that GLY has beneficial anti-inflammatory effects on CP and that it acts through reducing pro-inflammatory factors such as IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α, and PGE2, as well as decreasing WBC, NEUT, LYMPH and MONO levels and decreasing the expression of COX-2 and NF-κB p65 proteins. These findings may lay the groundwork for further studies of GLY as a suitable candidate for the treatment of inflammatory diseases such as CP.

Ga-doped ZnO (GZO) thin-film transistors (TFTs) with different doping concentrations ( ${n}_{Ga}$ : ${n}_{Zn} =0$ , 1:150, 1:75, 1:50) were successfully fabricated by atomic layer deposition. Among them, GZO TFTs with the doping concentration of 1:75 exhibited a high field-effect mobility of 16.2 cm2 V−1 s−1, a small subthreshold swing of 0.22 V dec−1, a high ON-/ OFF-current ratio of 107, and a proper threshold voltage of 6.0 V as well as a small threshold voltage shift of 0.14 V under positive bias stress. Compared to ZnO (ZO) TFTs, GZO TFTs exhibit excellent bias stability and electrical properties, which can be attributed to appropriate Ga doping concentration suppressing the oxygen vacancy defects, decreasing the trap density at the Al2O3/ZO interfaces, and broadening energy band of the ZO thin films.

Aims Whether to perform hybrid surgery (HS) in contrast to anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) when treating patients with multilevel cervical disc degeneration remains a controversial subject. To resolve this we have undertaken a meta-analysis comparing the outcomes from HS with ACDF in this condition. Methods Seven databases were searched for studies of HS and ACDF from inception of the study to 1 September 2019. Both random-effects and fixed-effects models were used to evaluate the overall effect of the C2-C7 range of motion (ROM), ROM of superior/inferior adjacent levels, adjacent segment degeneration (ASD), heterotopic ossification (HO), complications, neck disability index (NDI) score, visual analogue scale (VAS) score, Japanese Orthopaedic Association (JOA) score, Odom’s criteria, blood loss, and operating and hospitalization time. To obtain more credible results contour-enhanced funnel plots, Egger’s and Begg’s tests, meta-regression, and sensitivity analyses were performed. Results In total, 17 studies involving 861 patients were included in the analysis. HS was found to be superior to ACDF in maintaining C2-C7 ROM and ROM of superior/inferior adjacent levels, but HS did not reduce the incidence of associated level ASD. Also, HS did not cause a higher rate of HO than ACDF. The frequency of complications was similar between the two techniques. HS failed to achieve more favourable outcomes than ACDF using the NDI, VAS, JOA, and Odom’s scores. HS did not show any more advantages in operating or hospitalization time but did show reduction in blood loss. Conclusion Although HS maintained cervical kinetics, it failed to reduce the incidence of ASD. This finding differs from previous reports. Moreover, patients did not show more benefits from HS with respect to symptom improvement, prevention of complications, and clinical outcomes. Cite this article: Bone Joint J 2020;102-B(8):981–996.

In order to study the condition of facial nerve bone canal in patients with nerve palsy and the therapeutic effect of acupuncture Hegu point therapy on patients with facial palsy, in this study, 70 patients with bell facial paralysis who were admitted to Beijing Friendship Hospital on July 30, 2018 solstice and July 30, 2019 were selected. The patients were randomly divided into a control group (CG) (n = 35) and an experimental group (EG) (n = 35). The EG received acupuncture and acupoint Hegu treatment, while the CG received conventional drug treatment. Magnetic Resonance Computerized Tomography (MRCT) image combined with multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) facial nerve tube measurement technique was used to detect genu ganglion segment, nerve labyrinth segment and tympanic compartment of bell facial paralysis patients in the EG. Patients in both groups were evaluated by House-Brackmann scale, Sunnybrook Facial Grading System (SFGS) scale, and Degree of facial Nerve Paralysis (DFNP). Finally, Logistic Regression Model (LRM) was used to analyze the factors influencing the treatment effect of bell facial paralysis patients. The results showed that the inner diameter of genu ganglion segment, labyrinth segment and tympanum segment of the EG was greatly smaller than that of the normal side, and the difference between the data was statistically significant (SS) (P < 0.05). After treatment, the House-Brackmann, SFGS and DFNP scores of patients in the two groups were greatly higher than before treatment, and the differences were SS (P < 0.05). After treatment, the scores of House-Brackmann, SFGS, and DFNP in the EG were greatly higher than those in the CG, and the differences were SS (P < 0.05). The analysis results of LRM indicated that DFNP score was negatively related to age and disease course (P < 0.05), and positively related to the neural labyrinth segment of the patient’s side (P < 0.05). MPR facial canal measurement technique based on MRCT can directly reflect the facial canal paralysis in patients with facial paralysis. Acupuncture at Hegu point can effectively improve facial nerve palsy and other symptoms in patients with facial paralysis of bell in clinic and the recovery effect may also be affected by the age of the patient and the course of the disease.

Considering consumers' strategic behavior and loss averseness of the deposit, this paper establishes a two‐period Stackelberg game model in a supply chain system, in which a manufacturer cooperates with an e‐retailer to perform advance selling to consumers. The optimal pricing decisions are obtained, and the impacts of the e‐retailer's advance selling activities on the profits of both parties are discussed. Studies have shown that advance selling activities always benefit the manufacturer, but they can hurt the e‐retailer. Within some specific conditions, the advance selling model can achieve Pareto improvement to both parties and benefit the performance of the supply chain.

Lung cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer and the leading cause of cancer death in the world. We used the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database to investigate the changes in the incidence, treatment patterns, and outcomes of early-stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) in octogenarians and older from 1995 to 2015. Using the SEER database, we identified patients ≥ 80 years stage I–IIa NSCLC diagnosed from 1995 to 2015. Changes in the treatment patterns, incidence and proportion, and survival were assessed by years of diagnosis. In total, 25,394 patients were identified. This study aimed to standardize the refractive measures using manifest refraction (MR) before and after using mydriatic eyedrops, and to explore the potential impact of age on the MR differences before mydriatic eyedrops (MRM), after rapid pupil dilation (MRRPD), and after slow pupil dilation (MRSPD). Three hundred sixty-two participants, aged 3–18 years were recruited from January 1, 2018, to September 30, 2018, using cluster sampling. MRM, MRRPD, and MRSPD were applied for measuring sphere and cylinder in the left and right eyes. At the initial inspection stage there were no significant differences between the MRM and MRRPD groups for sphere and cylinder values in the left and right eyes (P > 0 05). A significant difference was found for the sphere value in the left (P < 0 001) and right eyes (P < 0 001) among the MRM, MRRPD, and MRSPD groups, whereas there was no significant difference in cylinder value in the left (P = 0 691) and right eyes (P = 0 172) among groups at the review stage. The sphere value in the left and right eyes was significantly different among the MRM, MRRPD, and MRSPD groups for children aged 3–6 years, and there was a significant difference among groups for the sphere value in the right eye for children aged 7–11 years. There were no significant differences between the MRM and MRRPD groups in terms of sphere or cylinder values in the left and right eyes of children aged 12–18 years. The study findings indicate the results of sphere and cylinder measurements in the left and right eyes are consistent for MRM and MRRPD during the initial inspection stage, without any effect of the age of the children. However, the results of sphere measurements in the left and right eye were significantly different between the MRM, MRRPD, and MRSPD groups, especially for younger children.

Purpose: Immunogenicity derived from the murine scFv, a major molecular compomemt of chimeric antigen receptors (CARs), may limit the persistence of CAR T cells, resulting in tumor relapse of patients in complete remission (CR). In this study, we developed a humanized anti-CD19 scFv CAR-T (hCAR-T) to treat patients with relapsed/refractory acute lymphoblastic leukemia (r/r ALL). Patients and Methods: In this one-arm, open-labeled study, we infused the T cells modified with hCAR to patients with r/r ALL. Patients were evaluated with long-term follow-up for response and safety of the treatment. The study was registered at Clinicaltrials.gov (NCT02349698). Results: Ten patients with r/r ALL were recruited for this study. All were response evaluable and all achieved CR; eight patients remained CR, and six were in CR for over 18 months without further treatment. A long-term persistence of hCAR T cells was observed in most of the patients. Among these patients, four of them with high tumor burden and rapidly progressive disease (median, 58%) experienced grade 3–4 cytokine release syndrome (CRS) and neurotoxicity. These severe CRSs were successfully controlled by tocilizumab, glucocorticoid, and plasma exchange. Conclusions: T cells expressing the humanized anti-CD19 scFv CARs exhibited sustained therapeutic efficacy in the treatment of r/r ALL. Low replase rate was associated with the long-term persistence of CAR T cells.

Multiple idiopathic external cervical root resorption is a rare condition with numerous predisposing factors that have not yet been clearly elucidated. In addition, its diagnosis and treatment pose challenges for clinicians, and thus, the extraction of the involved teeth is commonly performed. Here, we report a 29-year-old pregnant woman with no contributory medical or family/social history who experienced cervical root resorption that progressed aggressively and involved all permanent teeth. This case is unique owing to the involvement of all teeth. Reports of multiple idiopathic external cervical root resorption are rare in the literature, and the pathogenesis of the condition is poorly understood. This report aims to add an additional case to the existing literature, analyse the underlying mechanisms and provide clinicians with some guidance in diagnosing cervical root resorption.

Background The epigenetic alteration has an impact on cancer cell cycle regulation. Expression of histone deacetylase 8 (HDAC8) ruled out the expression of cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor 2A (CDKN2A) and this is linked with the prognosis of Esophageal cancer (EC) patients. Methods By the immunohistochemical staining, we examined the expression status of HDAC8 and CDKN2A protein of 110 esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) patients in the tissue microarray. The nuclear staining intensity was counted by immunoreactivity scoring ranging from 0 to 12 and grouped them into two; weak or non-expression and over-expression. Results The median follow-up duration of our study was 71 months postoperatively. Up-regulation of HDAC8 expression and down-regulation of CDKN2A (p16) indicate decreased 5-year overall survival (OS) (P=0.003) and (P=0.001) respectively and progression-free survival (PFS) (P=0.005, P=0.001) respectively, which are statistically significant and determined by Kaplan-Meier estimates using log-rank test. Consequently, HDAC8 and CDKN2A act as an independent prognostic biomarker, for OS and PFS that analyzed by multivariate cox-regression analysis, HR 1.173 with 95% CI: 0.215–6.416 and P=0.003 and HR 1.217 with 95% CI: 0.224–6.600 and P=0.005 respectively. Spearman rank test establish the negative correlation between HDAC8 and CDKN2A. Conclusions Over-expression of HDAC8 and weak or no expression of CDKN2A have a worse impact on EC patients and indicate poor survival and progression of the disease and act as a promising prognostic parameter.

Elastic folding, a phenomenon widely existing in nature, has attracted great interests to understand the math and physical science behind the topological transition on surface, thus can be used to create frontier engineering solutions. Here, we propose a topo-optical sensing strategy with ultra-high contrast by programming surface folds on targeted area with a thin optical indicator layer. A robust and precise signal generation can be achieved under mechanical compressive strains (>0.4). This approach bridges the gap in current mechano-responsive luminescence mechanism, by utilizing the unwanted oxygen quenching effect of Iridium-III (Ir-III) fluorophores to enable an ultra-high contrast signal. Moreover, this technology hosts a rich set of attractive features such as high strain sensing, encoded logic function, direct visualisation and good adaptivity to the local curvature, from which we hope it will enable new opportunities for designing next generation flexible/wearable devices., Flexible materials with mechano-responsive luminescence has gained interest for their potential in sensing devices. Here, the authors demonstrate targeted folding under high compressive strains, which, together with the oxygen quenching of fluorophores, forms the basis for topo-optical sensing.

An AlGaN-based deep ultraviolet laser diode with convex quantum wells structure is proposed. The advantage of using a convex quantum wells structure is that the radiation recombination is significantly improved. The improvement is attributed to the increase of the effective barrier height for electrons and the reduction of the effective barrier height for holes, which results in an increased hole injection efficiency and a decreased electron leakage into the p-type region. Particularly, comparisons with the convex quantum barriers structure and the reference structure show that the convex quantum wells structure has the best performance in all respects.

Background and objective: Adjuvant chemotherapy is a critical part of systematic treatment of primary breast cancer. Chemotherapy induced neutropenia (CIN) is a common adverse event during adjuvant chemotherapy as well as a major factor limiting the implementation of the planned schedule of chemotherapy, causing the delay and drug reduction. Recombinant human granulocyte-colony stimulating factor (rhG-CSF) effectively stimulates the proliferation of neutrophil progenitors, promotes differentiation of these cells into mature neutrophils, and promote the release of neutrophils from the marrow, thus reducing the probability of CIN and related complications. Dose-Dense (DD) chemotherapy has become a commonly recommended regimen for primary breast cancer because of improvement of disease-free survival (DFS) and Overall Survival (OS). rhG-CSF should be administered prophylactically due to the high incidence of marrow suppression during dose-dense regimen. Little high-level clinical evidence to determine a unified rhG-CSF regimen. Single injection of long-acting pegfilgrastim and continuous multiple usage of short-acting filgrastim are two major ways to support dose-dense adjuvant chemotherapy. Based on a single database, we retrospectively assessed the efficacy and safety of two different rhG-CSF in supporting the dose-dense adjuvant chemotherapy (ddEC) in primary breast cancer, aiming to test the effectiveness of two different rhG-CSF as well as comparison of the advantages and disadvantages of the two methods. Methods: Data of patients who received dose-dense neoadjuvant chemotherapy with support of rhG-CSF at Peking University Cancer Hospital Breast Cancer Prevention and Treatment Center from Jul, 2015 to Jun, 2018 were retrospectively collected. All of these patients were planned to receive four cycles of ddEC (Epirubicin 100mg/m2 and cyclophosphamide 600 mg/m2) with using one of the following rhG-CSF schedules in parallel: 1) filgrastim 200-300μg/d on day 4, 6, 8, 10; 2) pegfilgrastim 6mg on day 2. The relative dose intensity (RDI) was calculated. Results: A total of 555 patients were enrolled and 2,176 cycles were completed in this study, 254 were treated with pegfilgrastim and 301 were treated with short-term filgrastim. 536 patients (96.6%, 95%CI: 95.1%-98.1%) completed all four cycles of treatment. Chemotherapy delay occurred in 42 patients (7.6%, 95%CI: 5.4%-9.8%) for 47 cycles (2.2%, 95%CI:11.6%-2.8%). 18 patients (3.2%, 95%CI:1.7% - 4.7%) had CIN-related chemotherapy delay. 532 patients achieved RDI≥85% (99.4%, 95%CI:98.7%-100%). FN occurred in 25 patients (4.5%, 95%CI:2.8% - 6.2%). In the subgroup of using pegfilgrastim, Chemotherapy delay occurred in 10 patients (3.9%, 95%CI:1.5%-6.3%), 243 patients achieved RDI≥85% (99.4%, 95%CI: 98.7%-100%), and FN occurred in 11 patients (4.3%, 95%CI: 1.8%-6.8%). In the subgroup of using short-term filgrastim, chemotherapy delay occurred in 15 patients (5.0%, 95%CI: 2.5%-7.5%), 289 patients achieved RDI≥85% (96%, 95CI: 93.8%-98.2%), and FN occurred in 14 patients (4.7%, 95%CI: 2.3%-7.1%). FN is more likely in patients using short-term filgrastim (6.3%vs2.8%, p=0.048), causing more chemotherapy delay (10.8%vs4.1%, p=0.003). Age, tumor size, status of axillary lymph nodes, pathological type and baseline of ANC were not correlated with non-febrile neutropenia in patients using short-term filgrastim. Conclusion: Two schedules of rhG-CSF are effective and safe in supporting four cycles of neoadjuvant ddEC. The effects of these two methods were similar in the completion rate of chemotherapy(RDI≥85%) and safety(incidence of FN).
