1. Multiscale Feature Line Extraction From Raw Point Clouds Based on Local Surface Variation and Anisotropic Contraction

Abstract: Recent 3-D scanning techniques can produce various kinds of digitized 3-D data. Most of these scanned data are in a format of unstructured point clouds. Such low-level representation of 3-D data usually contains only geometric properties (point positions), while lacking higher level structure cues, for example, feature lines. Feature lines can be defined as a visually prominent characteristic of the shape, including edges, ridges, and valley lines in multiple scales, which can support a lot of downstream applications, such as shape reconstruction and analysis. We present a two-phase algorithm for extracting line-type features on point clouds. To extract both large-scale and shallow feature lines, we first define a statistical metric to detect all potential feature points while immune to the noise to some extent. Then, for correctly reconstructing the feature lines from these identified coarse feature points, we introduce an anisotropic contracting scheme to force feature points lying on the underlying real feature lines. To illustrate the reliability of our method, various experiments have been conducted on both synthetic and raw data. Both visual and quantitative comparisons show that our method is robust to noise and can correctly extract multiscale feature lines. In addition, our method is generally applicable to robotic picking.

Abstract: Intelligent education is an intelligent education platform that integrates correct education concept and Internet of things, big data, cloud computing and other technologies. This paper hopes to use the construction of the composition scoring model to further construct a computer scoring system for college English translation, which can give students a translation score and give feedback evaluation based on the quality of the translation. In this paper, according to the knowledge of the existing automatic scoring system at home and abroad, the feature selection method (TF-IDF, IG, CHI) is discussed and analyzed. Moreover, this paper studies the impact of our composition automatic scoring from the perspective of linguistics. In addition, this paper uses the multiple regression method to evaluate the final score. The features considered in this paper mainly include simple linguistic features and complex linguistic features. Finally, performance analysis of the algorithm model is performed by setting up a control experiment. The research results show that the proposed algorithm model has certain effects. The future trend is to form adult auxiliary machines through various human-computer interaction technologies, which will reshape future learning and education and form a new teaching form.

Abstract: Hand–eye calibration is one of the key technologies of robot hand and eye coordination operation. The calibration accuracy directly affects the measurement accuracy of hand–eye system. Due to the influence of environmental noise and disturbance, the results of hand–eye calibration usually contain errors. The hand–eye parameters with errors are used for vision measurement, which will lead to the calibration error into the measurement results. This error transfer phenomenon will inevitably affect the accuracy of visual measurement. In this article, a simultaneous optimization method of calibration and measurement is proposed. Based on the analysis of the motion characteristics, the measurement and calibration model with nonlinear constraints is established. An iterative method is proposed along with the closed-form solution to improve the calibration accuracy. Furthermore, the advantages of the proposed method over traditional methods are discussed. Simulation and experiment are carried out to analyze the calibration and measurement accuracy, error propagation, and solution conditions. The results demonstrate that the proposed method realizes the simultaneous optimization of calibration and measurement and can effectively suppress the influence of calibration error on measurement accuracy.

Abstract: In the aircraft manufacturing industry, rivet inspection is a vital task for the aircraft structure stability and aerodynamic performance. In this article, we propose a novel framework for fully automated rivet flush measurement, which is the key step in rivet inspection task. To efficiently perform rivet flush measurement, we first develop a mobile 3-D scanning system to automatically capture the 3-D point cloud of the aircraft skin surface. Subsequently, rivet regions are extracted through point cloud processing techniques. Instead of relying on handcrafted features, we propose a novel data-driven approach for rivet point extraction via a deep-learning-based technique. Our algorithm takes a scanned point cloud of the aircraft skin surface as input and produces a dense point cloud label result for each point, distinguishing as rivet point or not. To achieve this, we propose a rivet region classification network (RRCNet) that can input the 2-D representations of a point and output a binary label indicating that the point is rivet or nonrivet point. Moreover, we design a field attention unit (FAU) to assign adaptive weights to different forms of 2-D representations via the attention mechanism in convolutional neural networks. The extracted rivet regions can then be used to perform rivet flush measurement. The abovementioned components result in a fully automatic contactless measurement framework of aircraft skin rivet flush. Several experiments are performed to demonstrate the priority of the proposed RRCNet and the effectiveness of the presented rivet flush measurement framework.

7. Brittle-layer-tuned microcrack propagation for high-performance stretchable strain sensors

Abstract: High linearity is important for stretchable strain sensors. Herein, we propose a new strategy of brittle-layer-tuned microcrack propagation to achieve high-linearity resistive-type stretchable strain sensors by using a highly facile and effective method. It is achieved by introducing a brittle layer in between the conductive layer and the polymeric substrate followed by a pre-crazing process. A high linearity (R2 ≈ 0.9721) within 100% strain is achieved, which is an important development for resistance-type stretchable strain sensors. The brittle layer also increases the sensitivity by around three times. Meanwhile, the sensor can be easily patterned and the strong adhesion between the active materials and elastic substrate can be realized through this approach. Then, to demonstrate the feasibility and wide applicability of this brittle layer strategy, PDMS and Ecoflex substrates are employed for the strain sensors preparation. The fabricated sensors exhibit high stretchability up to 100% and high sensitivity with a gauge factor (GF) up to 460.9 based on PDMS. Moreover, an ultrahigh GF value of 41488.8 is obtained by using the Ecoflex substrate. Besides, the working mechanism, reliability and wearable applications are investigated and demonstrated. The superior sensing capabilities of the prepared strain sensors indicate great potential in the fields of integrated stretchable and wearable devices. Our proposed strategy opens up a new perspective to achieve high-performance stretchable strain sensors.

Abstract: The emergence of Blockchain has attracted widespread attention. However, we observe that in practice, many applications on permissioned blockchains do not benefit from the decentralized architecture. When decentralized architecture is used but not required, system performance is often restricted, resulting in low throughput, high latency, and significant storage overhead. Hence, we propose LedgerDB on Alibaba Cloud, which is a centralized ledger database with tamper-evidence and non-repudiation features similar to blockchain, and provides strong auditability. LedgerDB has much higher throughput compared to blockchains. It offers stronger auditability by adopting a TSA two-way peg protocol, which prevents malicious behaviors from both users and service providers. LedgerDB supports verifiable data removals demanded by many real-world applications, which are able to remove obsolete records for storage saving and hide records for regulatory purpose, without compromising its verifiability. Experimental evaluation shows that LedgerDB's throughput is 80X higher than state-of-the-art permissioned blockchain (i.e., Hyperledger Fabric). Many blockchain customers (e.g., IP protection and supply chain) on Alibaba Cloud have switched to LedgerDB for its high throughput, low latency, strong auditability, and ease of use.

Abstract: Background Intensification of agricultural systems may result in overexploitation of water resources in arid regions because enhanced productivity of crops is often associated with increased actual evapotranspiration (AET). The aim of this study was to quantify the effect of increased regional AET on the groundwater level in a case study of the oasis located within the Shiyang River Basin near the edge of the Gobi Desert. Result The results of the study show that regional AET increased during the period from 1981 to 2010 due to increasing oasis area and air temperature. The water losses due to AET exceeded the water supply from the mountainous discharges of the basin by the end of this period, leading to groundwater overexploitation in the oasis area. Conclusions This case study shows the importance of considering the effect of climate change on water losses associated with increasing agricultural production for the sustainable agricultural development of arid regions.

Abstract: AIM: To evaluate the efficacy of recombinant human nerve growth factor-loaded amniotic membrane (rhNGF-AM) on corneal epithelial and nerve regeneration in rabbit model. METHODS: Freshly prepared human amniotic membrane (AM) were immersed into PBS buffer containing 100 or 500 μg/mL rhNGF for 15, 30, and 60min at 4℃. The in vitro release kinetics of rhNGF was measured with ELISA. For in vivo evaluation, the AM were immersed with 500 μg/mL rhNGF for 30min. Fifty-seven rabbits were selected to establish corneal epithelial defect model. In addition to the 19 rabbits in control group, 38 rabbits received AM transplantation with or without rhNGF after the removal of central epithelium. Corneal epithelial defect area, sub-epithelial nerve fiber density, corneal sensitivity, rhNGF contents in resident AM and corneas were measured after the surgery. RESULTS: rhNGF was sustained release from the AM within 14d in vitro, with the positive correlation with initial immersion concentration. The immersion of AM in 500 μg/mL rhNGF for 30min achieved the most stable release within 14d. After transplantation in rabbit cornea, a high concentration of rhNGF in resident rhNGF-AM and cornea was maintained within 8d. 12. A 3D Printing Personalized Percutaneous Nephroscope Puncture Guide Plate in Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy: A Pilot Study

Abstract: Objective Using CTU, combined with 3D printing technology, digital design, the development of individualized PCNL) puncture guides, preliminary discussion of its feasibility for PCNL puncture positioning.Methods Twenty-two patients with renal calculi who underwent PCNL in the hospital of Xuzhou Medical University in 2017-2018, including 10 experimental groups, used 3D printing technology to make guides (puncture guides); simulated punctures in vitro, after clearing the needle angle, PCNL was performed in 10 patients and PCNL in 12 patients in the control group. The accuracy of puncture positioning, puncture time and intraoperative blood loss were compared between the two groups.Results In the experimental group, 10 patients had good puncture guide plate and the patient's skin. The puncture needle was puncture under the guidance of the guide plate and verified by the color Doppler. The 1 needle puncture was successful 100.00% (10/10), the positioning of the needle point, the depth of the puncture. The angles were consistent with the preoperative design. The success rate of 12 cases of color Doppler ultrasound in the control group was 75.00% (9/12). There was no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05). The amount of hemorrhage was (7.78±0.94) min and (49.31±6.43) mL, respectively. The control group was (9.04±1.09) min and (60.08±12.18) mL, respectively. The two groups were statistically significant (PConclusion 3D printing personalized percutaneous nephrolithotomy guide can improve the accuracy of PCNL renal puncture channel positioning, shorten the puncture time and reduce intraoperative blood loss, and provide a new method for PCNL renal puncture positioning, which is worthy of further clinical exploration.

Abstract: Objectives:To improve the prenatal diagnosis for anomalous origin of pulmonary artery branches by comparing and analyzing different types of fetal echocardiography features.Methods:Between June 2012 and December 2018, fetal echocardiographic features were analyzed retrospectively from fetuses with a prenatal diagnosis of anomalous origin of pulmonary artery branch. The main points of identification were summarized.Results:A total of 12 fetuses were diagnosed, including anomalous origin of a pulmonary artery branch from the innominate artery and six cases with unilateral absence of pulmonary artery. The shared characteristic sonographic finding was the lack of confluence at the bifurcation of the main pulmonary artery. The differences between the two conditions are highlighted by the origin of the anomalous vessel. In fetuses with anomalous origin of one pulmonary artery branch, the affected pulmonary artery arose from the posterior wall of the ascending aorta as noted on three vessels and trachea view as well as the long axis of the left ventricular outflow tract. This is in contrast to fetuses with unilateral absence of pulmonary artery, where the origin of affected pulmonary artery arises from the base of the innominate artery via the ipsilateral patent arterial duct as evident on the three vessels and trachea view and the coronal view of innominate (brachiocephalic) artery.Conclusion:(1) The main similarity is an absence of a confluence at the bifurcation of the main pulmonary artery. (2) The main distinguishing feature is the origin of the anomalous vessel from either the subclavian or directly from the aorta.

Abstract: The two most common surgical interventions for spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage in the basal ganglia of patients more than 65 years old are either minimally invasive puncture and drainage or craniotomy. This study aimed to compare the curative effects of these two procedures in such patients. A retrospective study of patients older than years with spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage was conducted between January 2012 and December 2015. Of the 86 patients, 47 received minimally invasive puncture and drainage and 39 underwent craniotomy. One year after surgery no statistically significant difference was observed between the two groups with respect to: evacuation rate of the hematoma five days after the operation, volume of residual hematoma, occurrence of rebleeding, development of infectious meningitis, length of hospitalization, fatality, or Glasgow Outcome Scale and Barthel Index scores. However, the amount of blood loss during the procedure (P < 0.001), total cost of hospitalization (P = 0.004), and incidence of epilepsy (P = 0.045) were significantly higher for the craniotomy group than the minimally invasive puncture and drainage group. It was found that, in patients older than 65 years with basal ganglia hemorrhage, minimally invasive puncture and drainage is less invasive, more cost efficient and induces less bleeding during surgery than craniotomy.

Abstract: Background Herpes simplex virus type-2 (HSV-2) infection is the main cause of genital ulcer disease and increases the risk of HIV acquisition. Little information is available regards the epidemiological characteristics of HSV-2 among general population in China. The aim of this study was to explore seroprevalence and associated factors of HSV-2 and provide information for design of HSV-2 control strategy in Shandong, China. Methods In this cross-sectional study, a total of 8074 persons, 18–49 years of age, were selected using multi-stage probability sampling to represent the general population of Shandong in 2016. Demographic data were collected through face-to-face interviews. Other variables were obtained by self-administered questionnaire surveys. Blood was collected for HSV-2 IgG detection with ELISA. Results A total of 7256 sexually-active participants were included in the analysis. The weighted seroprevalence of HSV-2 infection was 4.2% (95% confidence interval [CI], 3.2–5.3) in females, which was significant higher than that in males (2.7%; 95% CI, 1.1–4.2) (P = 0.04). The seroprevalence of HSV-2 was higher in individuals from eastern region (6.4%; 95% CI, 5.9–6.9) and urban areas (4.3%; 95% CI, 2.6–6.0) of Shandong than those from other regions (P

Abstract: Orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT) in rats is a tried and proven animal model used for preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative studies, including ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI) of extrahepatic organs. This model requires numerous experiments and devices. The duration of anhepatic phase is closely related to the time to develop IRI after transplantation. In this experiment, we used hemodynamic changes to induce extrahepatic organ damage in rats and determined the maximum tolerance time. The time until the most severe organ injury varied for different organs. This method can easily be replicated and can also be used to study IRI of the extrahepatic organs after liver transplantation.

Abstract: Contains fulltext : 232759.pdf (Publisher’s version ) (Closed access) In 2008, we published the first set of guidelines for standardizing research in autophagy. Since then, this topic has received increasing attention, and many scientists have entered the field. Our knowledge base and relevant new technologies have also been expanding. Thus, it is important to formulate on a regular basis updated guidelines for monitoring autophagy in different organisms. Despite numerous reviews, there continues to be confusion regarding acceptable methods to evaluate autophagy, especially in multicellular eukaryotes. Here, we present a set of guidelines for investigators to select and interpret methods to examine autophagy and related processes, and for reviewers to provide realistic and reasonable critiques of reports that are focused on these processes. These guidelines are not meant to be a dogmatic set of rules, because the appropriateness of any assay largely depends on the question being asked and the system being used. Moreover, no individual assay is perfect for every situation, calling for the use of multiple techniques to properly monitor autophagy in each experimental setting. Finally, several core components of the autophagy machinery have been implicated in distinct autophagic processes (canonical and noncanonical autophagy), implying that genetic approaches to block autophagy should rely on targeting two or more autophagy-related genes that ideally participate in distinct steps of the pathway. Along similar lines, because multiple proteins involved in autophagy also regulate other cellular pathways including apoptosis, not all of them can be used as a specific marker for bona fide autophagic responses. Here, we critically discuss current methods of assessing autophagy and the information they can, or cannot, provide. Our ultimate goal is to encourage intellectual and technical innovation in the field.

Abstract: Identity-based encryption (IBE), and its hierarchical extension (HIBE), are interesting cryptographic primitives that aim at the implicit authentication on the users&rsquo, public keys by using users&rsquo, identities directly. During the past several decades, numerous elegant pairing-based (H)IBE schemes were proposed. However, most pairing-related security assumptions suffer from known quantum algorithmic attacks. Therefore, the construction of lattice-based (H)IBE became one of the hot directions in recent years. In the setting of most existing lattice-based (H)IBE schemes, each bit of a user&rsquo, s identity is always associated with a parameter matrix. This always leads to drastic but unfavorable increases in the sizes of the system public parameters. To overcome this issue, we propose a flexible trade-off mechanism between the size of the public parameters and the involved computational cost using the blocking technique. More specifically, we divide an identity into l&prime, segments and associate each segment with a matrix, while increasing the lattice modulo slightly for maintaining the same security level. As a result, for the setting of 160-bit identities, we show that the size of the public parameters can be reduced by almost 89.7% (resp. 93.8%) while increasing the computational cost by merely 5.2% (resp. 12.25%) when l&prime, is a set of 16 (resp. 8). Finally, our IBE scheme is extended to an HIBE scheme, and both of them are proved to achieve the indistinguishability of ciphertexts against adaptively chosen identity and chosen plaintext attack (IND-ID-CPA) in the standard model, assuming that the well-known ring learning with error (RLWE) problem over the involved ideal lattices is intractable, even in the post-quantum era.

Abstract: Ischemic stroke is a major cause of death and disability worldwide. Necroptosis is known as a form of cell death, playing an essential role in regulating ischemia-induced brain injury. Triad3A is a ubiquitin ligase of the RING-in-between-RING family, and regulates necroptotic cell death under different pathological conditions, including neurodegenerative disorders. In the present study, the effects of Triad3A on experimental stroke were explored on a mouse model with middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO). The results indicated that Triad3A expression was markedly induced in the ischemic brain after MCAO operation. The neurons and microglia cells were the major cellular sources for Triad3A induction. Triad3A knockdown enhanced the infarction area, cell death, microglia activity, and the expression levels of pro-inflammatory markers including tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-6, inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), CD32 and CD68 in MCAO mice. Triad3A and necroptosis were triggered in mouse microglia cells treated with oxygen and glucose deprivation (OGD), and in TNFα-incubated mouse hippocampal neuronal cells treated with Z-VAD-fmk, known as a pan-caspase inhibitor. Moreover, Triad3A knockdown accelerated cell death in microglial cells and neurons under these stresses. Furthermore, pre-treatment with necroptosis inhibitor markedly inhibited the cell death promoted by Triad3A silence in brain of mice with MCAO operation, demonstrating that Triad3A could regulate necroptosis to meditate the progression of cerebral I/R injury. Collectively, these finding illustrated that Triad3A could be served as a potential target for stroke therapy.

Abstract: Objective: To investigate the relationship of interleukin (IL)-35 with sarcoidosis. Methods: We enrolled 114 inpatients and outpatients with sarcoidosis at the Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital, and 24 healthy controls between March 2015 and December 2017. Serum and whole blood were collected during the follow-up period. Serum IL-35 levels were detected by ELISA. Proportions of Breg, Tfh, and Treg cells in the peripheral blood were detected using flow cytometry (FCM). The mRNA levels of p35, EBI3, and GAPDH in CD19+ cells and CD4+ cells were detected by real-time PCR. Sarcoidosis granuloma mice models were established with Propionibacterium acnes (PA) and one group was treated with IL-35 antibodies. Proportions of Breg, Tfh, and Treg cells in the peripheral blood and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) were detected by FCM. Results: The IL-35 levels and the proportions of Breg and Tfh cells in the peripheral blood of patients with active sarcoidosis were significantly higher compared to patients with stable sarcoidosis and healthy controls. Moreover, the IL-35 level in patients with progressive disease was lower than that found at the initial visit. EBI3 and p35 mRNA levels in CD19+ cells for patients with active sarcoidosis were significantly higher as compared to patients with stable sarcoidosis and healthy controls, while there were no significant differences in p35 and EBI3 mRNA levels in CD4+ cells between the three groups. In the mouse model of sarcoidosis, there were loose granulomata (macrophage accumulation in the bronchial areas and immature granuloma) after intervention with IL-35 antibodies. Meanwhile, the proportions of Breg cells in the peripheral blood and BALF of the model were significantly increased, while the proportion of Treg cells declined significantly. After intervention with IL-35 antibodies, the proportion of Breg cells in the peripheral blood of mice decreased significantly as compared to the mice not exposed to anti-IL-35 antibodies. Conclusion: IL-35 levels increased significantly in the serum of patients with active sarcoidosis, and lower IL-35 levels were correlated with persistent disease. Serum IL-35 levels might be better correlated with Breg cell functions.

Abstract: A negative-stiffness damper (NSD) that incorporates eccentric columns and high-stiffness springs is proposed for vibration mitigation from drilling equipment to a semi-submersible platform. Eccentric columns are considered as negative-stiffness elements, which can provide high static stiffness and achieve negative stiffness with hysteresis energy dissipation caused by buckling mode transition under dynamic conditions. With the assistance of high-stiffness springs, the damper possesses a hysteresis loop that can dissipate vibration energy and mitigate responses. Firstly, the hysteresis characteristics and negative stiffness of eccentric columns are analyzed. Then, the design principle of the NSD is derived, and several characteristics required for applications are investigated. In addition, an NSD system is designed for a target drilling mud pump based on measured data, and the mitigation performance is analyzed by comparing the vibration responses between cases of the proposed NSD system and the steel pedestal. The results demonstrate that the proposed system can effectively reduce the width of affected coverage and the magnitudes of vibration responses. The investigations performed in this paper not only provide the design principle of the new damper, but also prove the great potential of the proposed damper in vibration mitigation from drilling equipment to the hull of the platform.

Abstract: Diacylglycerol (DAG) supplementation has been shown to be associated with the health improvement of patients with diabetes mellitus, although this efficacy is uncertain. We quantitatively examined the effect of dietary DAG on fasting serum glucose and insulin concentrations by conducting a meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials. Potential papers were initially searched from electronic databases of Medline, Embase, and Cochrane Library. Inclusion criteria required the trial to be randomized, with triacylglycerol (TAG) controlled with fasting serum glucose or insulin concentration as one of the end points. Information was extracted independently by two reviewers and the effect of DAG was examined using Review Manager 4.2. Results showed that DAG reduced fasting serum insulin concentration significantly compared with TAG (weighted mean difference [WMD] = -8.23 pmol/l; 95% confidence interval [CI], -15.17 to -1.28 pmol/l; p = 0.02). In addition, DAG supplementation reduced fasting serum glucose concentration greatly (WMD = -0.10 mmol/l; 95% CI, -0.24 to 0.04 mmol/l; p = 0.18), and this effect was significantly correlated with the duration of intervention (fasting serum glucose concentration = 1.075-0.012; duration of intervention; p = 0.04; r = 0.90). In conclusion, DAG supplementation improved fasting serum glucose and insulin concentrations compared with TAG, and the effect on glucose was significantly correlated with the duration of intervention.

Abstract: Laser scan registration estimates a relative transformation to match one scan with another, based on the shape of the overlapping portions of the scans. The core and challenging problem of scan registration in a large-scale scene is, how to detect public targets among consecutive scans accurately and efficiently. We propose an automatic approach to detect cross-shaped targets (consisting of low-cost patterned paper) in raw LiDAR data. We exploit both radiometric and geometric information to fix cross-shaped targets, wherein a Morse function is formulated based on the discrete Morse theory on intensity image to detect the unique target pattern. Benefiting from both strategies of the image- and the geometry-based filtering, the target’s center can be determined with sub-point precision. A detailed quantitative and qualitative comparison of the proposed algorithm with the state-of-the-art methods is presented. Results with real data from various complicated scenes, some of which have been successfully applied in entrusted projects, show that the proposed algorithm is faster and more reliable than the compared methods in target detection for serving 3-D registration.

Abstract: We investigate the various macroscopic quantum coherences including one-, two- and three-mode ones in a spinning whispering-gallery-mode resonator system and examine how the input laser power, the coupling strength of the optical modes, the rotating angular velocity, and the optical and mechanical decay rates influence them. We find in two- and three-mode quantum coherences the one-mode quantum coherences play a main role. We also find that the quantum coherences in the spinning system are nonreciprocal, they monotonically increase as the rotating angular velocity increases when the driving direction of the laser field is consistent with the rotation direction of the resonator, otherwise they reduce monotonically.

Abstract: We present a method for automatic reconstruction of the volumetric structures of urban buildings, directly from raw LiDAR point clouds. Given the large-scale LiDAR data from a group of urban buildings, we take advantage of the “divide-and-conquer” strategy to decompose the entire point clouds into a number of subsets, each of which corresponds to an individual building. For each urban building, we determine its upward direction and partition the corresponding point data into a series of consecutive blocks, achieved by investigating the distributions of feature points of the building along the upward direction. Next, we propose a novel algorithm, Spectral Residual Clustering (SRC), to extract the primitive elements within the contours of blocks from the sectional point set, which is formed by registering the series of consecutive slicing points. Subsequently, we detect the geometric constraints among primitive elements through individual fitting, and perform constrained fitting over all primitive elements to obtain the accurate contour. On this basis, we execute 3D modeling operations, like extrusion, lofting or sweeping, to generate the 3D models of blocks. The final accurate 3D models are generated by applying the union Boolean operations over the block models. We evaluate our reconstruction method on a variety of raw LiDAR scans to verify its robustness and effectiveness.

Abstract: For the overweight of automatic car radiator core assembly machine crimping part, the structure was optimized and designed based on ANSYS Workbench to satisfy the double objective about reducing weight and decreasing the impact of the amount of deformation of the core assembly components. Multi-objective genetic algorithm was carried out to search the Pareto optimal solution set for optimal and design problems. It shows that the weight of crimping part reduces by 5.34% compared with the previous part, the assembly flatness of core reduces by 13.43%, and the total deformation affecting mainboard press-fit and positional accuracy of the flared reduces by 6.89%, which all meet the requirements of multi-objective optimization design.

Abstract: This paper develops a novel hand-eye calibration method for hand-eye systems with rotation and translation coupling terms. First, a nonlinear camera model with distortion terms and a model of a hand-eye system with rotation and translation coupling terms are established. Based on a non-linear optimization method and a reverse projection method, a decoupling calibration method for a lower-degree-of-freedom hand-eye system is proposed. Then the path planning for the calibration process is carried out. Based on the analysis of coupling constraints and hand-eye system motion constraints, three types of hand-eye calibration paths with high efficiency and easy operation are developed. In addition, the influence of key parameters on hand-eye calibration accuracy is analyzed. Finally, calibration experiments and parametric influence experiments are carried out. The results demonstrate that the proposed method is effective and practical for calibrating the hand-eye system.

Abstract: Brace structures with nonlinear stiffness are attractive in vibration mitigation. A new brace consisting of a novel convex column, which is characterized by the addition of a bulge structure compared to a column with constant cross-section, is proposed as a hysteresis brace structure with great applicability for mitigation of low-frequency vibration. The negative stiffness and D-shaped hysteresis damping of the proposed convex column brace generated by the buckling mode transition are verified theoretically and numerically. Comparisons of hysteresis characteristics of the proposed convex column brace and the one with the constant cross-section column are carried out to testify the outperformances of the proposed brace. The results demonstrate that the convex column brace can provide stronger bearing capacity with a smaller deflection and realize hysteresis damping within a shorter displacement range. In addition, a full parametric study is conducted to clarify the effects of geometric properties on hysteresis behavior. The investigation performed in this study not only demonstrates the great applicability of the proposed convex column brace, but also provides guidance on brace design for mitigation in practical application.

The SUs are divided into Ordinary Secondary Users (OSUs) and Relay Secondary Users (RSUs). An incentive mechanism is introduced to encourage the SUs to participate in the spectrum sensing to solve the problem of the lower initiative of SU, and the problem of channel condition difference can be solved by means of relay in this article. The simulation results that the sensitivity of the proposed method is better than the non-classification method, and the SUs’ enthusiasm is improved.

Abstract: Shift operation is an efficient alternative over depthwise separable convolution. However, it is still bottlenecked by its implementation manner, namely memory movement. To put this direction forward, a new and novel basic component named Sparse Shift Layer (SSL) is introduced in this paper to construct efficient convolutional neural networks. In this family of architectures, the basic block is only composed by 1x1 convolutional layers with only a few shift operations applied to the intermediate feature maps. To make this idea feasible, we introduce shift operation penalty during optimization and further propose a quantization-aware shift learning method to impose the learned displacement more friendly for inference. Extensive ablation studies indicate that only a few shift operations are sufficient to provide spatial information communication. Abstract: Supporting structure for primary and tertiary mirror is one of the most challenging technical points during development of off-axis three-mirror anastigmatism (TMA) biological imaging system. In order to minish the shape error of the mirror and meet the stability of the supporting structure which was working, the mirror supporting structure was designed and optimized with finite element method. First, based on requirement of optical design, materials and supporting mode for the mirror and its supporting structure were decided. Then, a weight reduction structure of the mirror cell was designed which had three-point backside and six-point lateral support structure. The flexible hinge with circular and cantilever beam was made according to the optimized mathematical model. The influence of the parameters on the precision of mirror surface were analyzed under the load conditions of gravity and uniform temperature rise of 4 ℃. Then, the static analysis and thermal analysis for the mirror subassembly were performed. The Finite Element Analysis (FEA) indicated that the surface error (RMS) was 1.529 nm at self-weight. RMS value was 2.426 nm when the temperature rised 4 ℃. Finally, the surface figure test and the wavefront aberrations test were carried out by using Zygo interferometer. The test RMS value of the surface figure is 0.025 λ and the wavefront aberrations of the optical system is 0.102 λ (RMS). The results show that this supporting system could meet the technical indicator requirements of biological imaging system (RMS value of the shape error ≤λ/40, RMS value of the wavefront aberrations≤λ/10).

Abstract: Recently, energy storage system (ESS) with carbon dioxide (CO2) as working fluid has been proposed as a new method to deal with the application restrictions of Compressed Air Energy Storage (CAES) technology, such as dependence on geological formations and low energy storage density. A novel ESS named as Compressed CO2 Energy Storage (CCES) based on transcritical CO2 Brayton cycle is presented in this paper. The working principle of CCES system is introduced and thermodynamic model is established to assess the system performance. Parametric analysis is carried out to study the effect of some key parameters on system performance. Results show that the increase of turbine efficiency is more favorable for system optimization and the effect of minimum pressures on system performance is more significant compared with maximum pressures. A simple comparison of CCES system, liquid CO2 system and Advanced Adiabatic Compressed Air Energy Storage (AA-CAES) system is conducted. It is shown that the system efficiency of CCES is lower than that of AA-CAES system but 4.05% higher than that of liquid CO2 system, while the energy density of CCES system is 2.8 times the value of AA-CAES system, which makes CCES a novel ESS with potential application.

Abstract: Energy harvesting and sleeping strategy are the important methods to deal with the increasing grid power consumption problem. However, power supply solely from energy harvesting modules would be more likely to cause energy outage of base station (BS), and the load of sleeping BS would lead to coverage hole problem, which directly affect user’s quality of service (QoS). In this paper, to achieve the trade-off between grid power consumption and user’s QoS for each tier, optimal joint of ON/OFF mode of a BS and power source switching strategies are designed for two-tier femtocell networks, which are powered by the cooperation of the harvested energy and grid power. Then, exploiting stochastic geometry and random walk theory, BS availability and availability region are characterized with the proposed strategies. Moreover, the relationships among BS availability, battery capacity of grid power and cut-off energy level are exploited to verify the proposed strategies. By numerical simulations, we find that when energy storage capacity achieves a certain value, the effect of grid power battery capacity on availability almost vanishes especially in femto tier. So these redundant grid power can be saved when the stored energy in battery meets current traffic requirement.

Abstract: It is shown that the general dynamics factor governing strength calculations of metallic spans is determined by the soil conditions and particularities of the interaction between support foundations and bases. The influence of the soil conditions for transverse oscillations of bridges increases with increasing support height and decreasing deformation characteristics of the base. It is noted that in order to make span structures more earthquake-resistant the foundation can be developed without changing the elements of the span structure.

In this paper, the evaluation model based on analytic hierarchy process has been proposed which include the factors of evaluation model, standards, indexes and weighs. After the model forming process, the calculation method for the comprehensive evaluation score has been described. At last, we used the model to assess a real cross-board auto parts retail enterprise, the ECI score of the enterprise is 77.93, and we put forward two specific suggestions to the enterprise for the operation mode improvement.

Abstract: The problem of image acquisition system for quadruped search robot is proposed based on FPGA. The quadruped search robot can be used in smart home monitor. In the design, FPGA ping-pong operation method is used. The OV9650 camera module, EP4CE15 main control chip module and auxiliary module (clock unit and PLL unit) are completed with module method. The software design of the system is completed, including the control module and image acquisition module. According to the problems of coordination mechanisms of image acquisition, image storage and image processing, the immunity algorithm is improved to achieve co-ordination mechanisms. The simulation results given by training time of co-ordination mechanisms indicate that the proposed image acquisition system of FPGA is effective.
