Abstract

The article presents a new methodology for ruthenium-catalyzed thiolation of alkanes and ethers using arylsulfonyl chlorides as a sulfur source.The Carbon–Hydrogen bond in a range of Alkanes and Ethers was effectively transformed into C–S bond to yield the corresponding sulfides in moderate to good yields.
