Abstract

This aberrant expression in ARMS is explained by the implication of the I PAX3 i gene in the development of the CNS, and because I PAX3/PAX7 i fusions activate several neurogenesis genes, including I OLIG2 i .2 In the pineal location, differential diagnoses of paediatric tumours with myogenic differentiation include atypical rhabdoid and teratoid tumours, metastases of medullomyoblastoma, teratomas with a rhabdomyosarcomatous component, pineal anlage tumours and pineoblastomas with rhabdomyoblastic differentiation.
