The MnCoO
x @RGO derived from dual metal organic framework (MOF) were synthesized via a simple solvothermal method followed by the heat treatment. While measured as anode for lithium ion batteries (LIBs), this MnCoOx @RGO nanocomposite exhibit an initial discharge capacity of 1548 mAhg−1 at 100 mAg−1 , and an good reversible capacity of 815 mAhg−1 after 150 cycles. The remarkable lithium storage performance of the nanocomposite is attributed to the synergistic interaction between Mn and Co, the mesoporosity structure, and the conductive reduced graphene oxide (RGO) support, which can shorten the difffusion paths of both Li+ and charge carriers and effectively buffer the volume change during the Li+ insertion/extraction process.
