The residue remaining after oil extraction from grape seed contain abundant procyanidins. An ultrasonic-assisted enzyme method was performed to achieve a high extraction efficiency of procyanidins when the optimal extraction conditions were 8 U/g of cellulase, ultrasound power of 200 W, ultrasonic temperature of 50 ℃, and ultrasonic reaction time of 40 min. The effects of free procyanidins on both radical scavenging activity and thermal stability at 40, 60, and 80 ℃ of the procyanidins-loaded liposomal systems prepared by the ultrasonic-assisted method were discussed. The presence of procyanidins at concentrations ranging from 0.02 to 0.10 mg/mL was observed to be effective at inhibiting lipid oxidation by 15.15 % to 69.70 % in a linoleic acid model system during reaction for 168 h, as measured using the ferric thiocyanate method. The procyanidins-loaded liposomal systems prepared by the ultrasonic-assisted method were characterized by measuring the mean particle size and encapsulation efficiency. Moreover, the holographic plots showed that the effect–response points of procyanidins combined with α-tocopherol in liposomes were lower than the addition line and 95 % confidence interval limits. At the same time, there were significant differences between the theoretical IC50add value and the experimental IC50mix value. The interaction index (γ) of all combinations was observed to be less than 1. These results indicated that there was a synergistic antioxidant effect between procyanidins combined with α-tocopherol, which will show promising prospects in practical applications. In addition, particle size differentiation and morphology agglomeration were observed at different time points of antioxidant activity determination (0, 48, 96 h).

Due to the limited computational resources of portable devices, target detection models for drone detection face challenges in real-time deployment. To enhance the detection efficiency of low, slow, and small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), this study introduces an efficient drone detection model based on YOLOv5s (EDU-YOLO), incorporating lightweight feature extraction and balanced feature fusion modules. The model employs the ShuffleNetV2 network and coordinate attention mechanisms to construct a lightweight backbone network, significantly reducing the number of model parameters. It also utilizes a bidirectional feature pyramid network and ghost convolutions to build a balanced neck network, enriching the model’s representational capacity. Additionally, a new loss function, EloU, replaces CIoU to improve the model’s positioning accuracy and accelerate network convergence. Experimental results indicate that, compared to the YOLOv5s algorithm, our model only experiences a minimal decrease in mAP by 1.1%, while reducing GFLOPs from 16.0 to 2.2 and increasing FPS from 153 to 188. This provides a substantial foundation for networked optoelectronic detection of UAVs and similar slow-moving aerial targets, expanding the defensive perimeter and enabling earlier warnings.

In this study, ultrasonic-ethanol pretreatment combined with AEE was developed for oil extraction from hemp seeds. The oil yield reached a maximum of 23.32 % at 200 W ultrasonic power and 30 min ultrasonic time, at this point, the degradation rate of Δ9-THC was 83.11 %. By determining the composition of hemp seed before and after pretreatment, it was shown that ultrasonic-ethanol pretreatment reduced the protein content of the raw material. An enzyme mixture consisting of pectinase and hemicellulase (1/1/1, w/w/w) was experimentally determined to be used, and the AEE extraction conditions were optimized using the Plackett-Burman design and the Box-Behnken. The optimal conditions were determined to be pH 5, total enzyme activity of 37,800 U/g, liquid–solid ratio of 10.4 mL/g, enzyme digestion temperature of 32 °C, enzymatic time of 189 min, and oil recovery of 88.38 %. The results of confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) showed that the emulsion formed during ultrasonic ethanol pretreatment was not uniformly distributed, and the droplets appeared to be aggregated; and the irregular pores of hemp seed increased after pretreatment. The contents of Δ9-THC and CBN in the extracted oil samples were 9.58 mg/kg and 52.45 mg/kg, respectively. Compared with the oil extracted by Soxhlet extraction (SE), the oil extracted by this experimental method was of better quality and similar in fatty acid composition.

As a low-calorie sugar, D-allulose is produced from D-fructose catalyzed by D-allulose 3-epimerase (DAE). Here, to improve the catalytic activity, stability, and processability of DAE, we reported a novel method by forming organic–inorganic hybrid nanoflowers (NF-DAEs) and co-immobilizing them on resins to form composites (Re-NF-DAEs). NF-DAEs were prepared by combining DAE with metal ions (Co2+, Cu2+, Zn2+, Ca2+, Ni2+, Fe2+, and Fe3+) in PBS buffer, and were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction. All of the NF-DAEs showed higher catalytic activities than free DAE, and the NF-DAE with Ni2+ (NF-DAE-Ni) reached the highest relative activity of 218%. The NF-DAEs improved the thermal stability of DAE, and the longest half-life reached 228 min for NF-DAE-Co compared with 105 min for the free DAE at 55 °C. To further improve the recycling performance of the NF-DAEs in practical applications, we combined resins and NF-DAEs to form Re-NF-DAEs. Resins and NF-DAEs co-effected the performance of the composites, and ReA (LXTE-606 neutral hydrophobic epoxy-based polypropylene macroreticular resins)-based composites (ReA-NF-DAEs) exhibited outstanding relative activities, thermal stabilities, storage stabilities, and processabilities. The ReA-NF-DAEs were able to be reused to catalyze the conversion from D-fructose to D-allulose, and kept more than 60% of their activities after eight cycles.

In space laser communication, the wide divergence angle of beacon light leads to substantial spatial losses, compounded by background light and detector noise; this results in compromised precision in the detection of the beacon light position. To solve this problem, a high-precision detection technique and communication composite technology employing a four-quadrant detector (QD) with beacon spread-spectrum modulation are proposed. Pseudo-random sequences (PRNs) are employed to spread the beacon communication spectrum, with the spread-spectrum signal utilized to modulate the intensity of the transmitted beacon light at the transmitter end. At the receiver, QD photocurrent signals are cross-correlated with an identical PRN that is used for modulation. The strong auto-correlation properties of PRNs, which are uncorrelated with noise, enhance the output signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), enabling precise position detection and beacon communication under high-SNR conditions. Theoretical analysis is used to explore the effects of spreading gain on the sensitivity of system detection and the precision of position detection. The experimental results demonstrate that the beacon spread-spectrum modulation scheme effectively detects the position of the light spot. At a received optical power of −37 dBm and spreading sequence PRN depths of 1023, 127, and 31, the root-mean-square error (RMSE) values are 0.983 μm, 2.876 μm, and 7.275 μm, respectively. This corresponds to improvements of 14.96 dB, 10.29, dB, and 6.26 dB compared to direct detection precision (30.811 μm). Additionally, under an identical signal bandwidth, the sensitivity improves by 14.6 dB, 10.1 dB, and 6.4 dB, respectively. The proposed beacon spread-spectrum scheme mitigates the limitations of hardware reception sensitivity and position-detection precision, demonstrating its potential application in high-precision detection in long-distance interstellar laser communication.

Rice bran protein (RBP)-tannic acid (TA) complex was prepared and the RBP-TA emulsions were subjected to ultrasonic treatment with different powers. Ultrasonic treatment has a positive effect on improving the properties of RBP-TA emulsion. This study investigated the influence of different ultrasonic power levels on the physicochemical properties, microstructure, rheological properties, and stability of emulsions containing RBP-TA. Under the ultrasonic treatment of 400 W, the particle size, zeta potential, and adsorbed protein content of the RBP-TA emulsion were 146.86 nm, −20.7 eV, and 61.91%, respectively. At this time, the emulsion had the best emulsifying properties, apparent viscosity, energy storage modulus and loss modulus. In addition, the POV and TBARS values of RBP-TA emulsions were 6.12 and 7.60 mmol/kg, respectively. The thermal, salt ion, pH and oxidative stability of the emulsions were investigated, and it was shown that ultrasonic treatment was effective in improving the stability of RBP-TA emulsions.

Drip irrigation with brackish water increases the risk of soil salinization while alleviating water shortage in arid areas. In order to alleviate soil salinity stress on crops, polymer soil amendments are increasingly used. But the regulation mechanism of a polymer soil amendment composed of polyacrylamide polyvinyl alcohol, and manganese sulfate (PPM) on rapeseed photosynthesis under drip irrigation with different types of brackish water is still unclear. In this field study, PPM was applied to study the responses of the rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) phenotype, photosynthetic physiology, transcriptomics, and metabolomics at the peak flowering stage under drip irrigation with water containing 6 g·L−1 NaCl (S) and Na2CO3 (A). The results showed that the inhibitory effect of the A treatment on rapeseed photosynthesis was greater than that of the S treatment, which was reflected in the higher Na+ content (73.30%) and lower photosynthetic-fluorescence parameters (6.30–61.54%) and antioxidant enzyme activity (53.13–77.10%) of the A-treated plants. The application of PPM increased the biomass (63.03–75.91%), photosynthetic parameters (10.55–34.06%), chlorophyll fluorescence parameters (33.83–62.52%), leaf pigment content (10.30–187.73%), and antioxidant enzyme activity (28.37–198.57%) under S and A treatments. However, the difference is that under the S treatment, PPM regulated the sulfur metabolism, carbon fixation and carbon metabolism pathways in rapeseed leaves. And it also regulated the photosynthesis-, oxidative phosphorylation-, and TCA cycle-related metabolic pathways in rapeseed leaves under A treatment. This study will provide new insights for the application of polymer materials to tackle the salinity stress on crops caused by drip irrigation with brackish water, and solve the difficulty in brackish water utilization.

The Hulong hybrid grouper was bred from the brown-marbled grouper (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus) ♀ and the giant grouper (E. lanceolatus) ♂, combining the advantageous traits of both parents. Possessing an excellent performance, this hybrid’s cultivation promotes the development of the grouper industry. Its male parent, the giant grouper, possesses the fastest growth and the largest body size among all coral-reef-dwelling fish. This species is not only an economically important species in marine aquaculture, but it is also an ideal male parent in the interspecific crossing of grouper species. In the present study, a high-quality chromosome-level genome of the giant grouper was constructed with a total length of 1.06 Gb, consisting of 24 chromosomes and 69 scaffolds. To analyze the genetic differences between the parents of the Hulong hybrid grouper, the structural variations (SVs) between both parental genomes were detected, and a total of 46,643 SVs were obtained. High-quality SNPs were identified from resequencing data. There were significant differences between the two genomes, and the average FST reached 0.685. A total of 234 highly differentiated regions were detected with an FST > 0.9. The protein-coding genes involved in SVs and highly differentiated regions were significantly enriched in metabolic pathways, including fatty metabolism, carbohydrate metabolism, amino acid metabolism and the TCA cycle. These genes may be related to the differences in feeding preferences and the ability to digest carbohydrates between the two grouper species under natural conditions. In addition, protein-coding genes related to the cell cycle and p53-signaling pathway were also detected. These genes may play important roles in the regulation of body size and growth performance. This research provides genomic resources for further breeding works and evolutionary analyses.

In this research, a series of 3-(pyridine-3-yl)-2-oxazolidinone derivatives was designed, synthesized, and evaluated for in vitro antibacterial activity, which included bacteriostatic, morphological, kinetic studies, and molecular docking. The results demonstrated that compounds 21b, 21d, 21e and 21f exhibited strong antibacterial activity similar to that of linezolid toward five Gram-positive bacteria. After observing the effect of the drug on the morphology and growth dynamics of the bacteria, the possible modes of action were predicted by molecular docking. Furthermore, the antibiofilm activity and the potential drug resistance assay was proceeded. These compounds exhibited universal antibiofilm activity and compound 21d showed significant concentration-dependent inhibition of biofilm formation. Compound 21d also showed a stable effect on S. pneumoniae (ATCC 49619) with less drug resistance growth for 15 days, which is much longer than that of linezolid. Overall, these results can be used to guide further exploration of novel antimicrobial agents.

In this study, hemp seed oil (HSO) emulsions stabilized with hemp seed protein (HPI) were prepared and treated with high intensity ultrasonic (HIU). The effects of different treatment powers (0, 150, 300, 450, 600 W) on the properties, microstructure and stability of emulsions were investigated. HIU-treated emulsions showed improved emulsifying activity index and emulsifying stability index, reduced particle size, and increased absolute values of ζ-potential, with the extreme points of these indices occurring at a treatment power of 450 W. Here, the emulsion showed the best dispersion and the smallest particle size in fluorescence microscopy observation, with the highest adsorbed protein content (30.12%), and the highest tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) retention rate (87.64%). The best thermal and oxidative stability of the emulsions were obtained under HIU treatment with a power of 450 W. The D43 and the peroxide values (POV) values after 30 d storage were the smallest at 985.74 ± 64.89 nm and 4.6 μmol/L, respectively. Therefore, 450 W was optimal HIU power to effectively improve the properties of HPI-stabilized HSO emulsion and promote the application of HSO and its derivatives in food processing production.

The composite electromagnetic (EM) scattering characteristics from a target above a canyon/valley environment are significant. Aiming to acquire the composite EM scattering efficiently and accurately, the framework of the canyon/valley environment modeling method and modified shooting and bouncing rays (SBR) hybrid with facet-based small slope approximation (FBSSA) algorithm is investigated. Firstly, the canyon/valley environment containing two slopes and a bottom modeling method is proposed. Then, considering the environment’s roughness, the modified SBR algorithm introduced by the high-order reflection model is proposed. Combined with the FBSSA, the modified SBR-FBSSA algorithm is an efficient and accurate method to predict composite EM scattering based on numerical verification. Finally, the effects of different surface types, roughness, slope angles, and incident-pitch and azimuth angles on the composite EM scattering characteristics are further analyzed. The work presented in this article provides a way to study the composite EM scattering from a target above the canyon/valley environment. Meanwhile, the complex scattering mechanism is revealed, and some valuable conclusions are put forward based on the physical phenomena.

A large amount of catalyst waste containing silicon is deposited or buried every year, resulting in serious environmental pollution and a waste of resources. In this paper, a method to prepare mullite whiskers by recycling silica-rich waste under low-temperature conditions was investigated. The effects of raw materials, sintering temperature, catalyst addition, holding time and co-solvent addition on the structure, morphology and phase transition of the synthesized whiskers were investigated and characterized with SEM, XRD, TEM, TG and DTA. The results show that the addition of 10% Na2SO4 as the liquid-phase mass transfer medium could effectively improve the crystallization efficiency of mullite whiskers, while providing an ideal living environment for the growth of whiskers. The crystallinity and uniformity of mullite were positively correlated with the addition of aluminum fluoride trihydrate and the holding time, respectively. The growth law and conditions of mullite whiskers are discussed, and the optimal growth process conditions of mullite whiskers were optimized. The optimal conditions for mullite whiskers were determined as follows: the addition of aluminum fluoride is 5 wt%, the sintering temperature is 825 °C, and the holding time is 5 h at the time of sintering. This work offers new prospects for the industrial production of mullite whiskers from recycled silica-rich waste.

Data-driven intelligent fault diagnosis has made considerable strides. However, collecting sufficient fault information in real production data is extremely challenging. Therefore, a novel method of bearing fault diagnosis based on two-dimensional (2D) images and cross-domain few-shot learning is proposed. Initially, the approach uses multiscale morphology to convert the bearing’s one-dimensional (1D) vibration signal into a 2D image, which preserves the whole information. Second, to address the issue of limited bearing fault data, we extend a substantial amount of natural image knowledge to the converted 2D image based on the improved cross-domain few-shot learning method. A distance-based classifier is employed to prevent the problem of overfitting owing to insufficient data to improve the approach’s classification capacity with few samples. The experimental results demonstrate that, with the limited dataset provided, our method outperforms other prevalent methods and has high feasibility and certain engineering applications.

In this study, the three-dimensional network system formed by rice bran wax (RBW) was used as the internal structure, and the external structure formed by soybean protein isolate (SPI) and phosphatidylserine (PS) was added on the basis of the internal structure to prepare walnut oil oleogel (SPI-PS-WOG). Ultrasonic treatment was applied to the mixed solution to make SPI-PS-WOG, on the basis, the effects of ultrasonic treatment on SPI-PS-WOG were investigated. The results showed that both β and β’ crystalline forms were present in all SPI-PS-WOG samples. When the ultrasonic power was 450 W, the first weight loss peak in the thermogravimetric (TGA) curve appeared at 326 °C, which was shifted to the right compared to the peak that occurred when the ultrasonic power was 0 W, indicating that the thermal stability of the SPI-PS-WOG was improved by the ultrasonic treatment. Moreover, when the ultrasonic power was 450 W, the oil holding capacity (OHC) reached 95.3 %, which was the best compared with other groups. Both confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) showed that the ultrasonic treatment of appropriate power succeeded in making the SPI-PS-WOG samples more evenly dispersed in the internal structure and denser in the external structure. In terms of oxidative stability, it was found that the peroxide value of SPI-PS-WOG remained at 9.8 mmol/kg oil for 50 days under 450 W ultrasonic power treatment, which was significantly improved compared with liquid walnut oil (WO). These results provide a new idea for the preparation of oleogels, and also lay a theoretical foundation for the application of ultrasonic treatment in oleogels.

In this study, an emulsion stabilized by soy protein isolate (SPI)-pectin (PC) complexes was prepared to investigate the effects of high-intensity ultrasound (HIU) treatment (150–600 W) on the physicochemical properties, microstructure, and stability of emulsions. The results found that the emulsion treated at 450 W showed the best emulsion stability index (ESI) (25.18 ± 1.24 min), the lowest particle size (559.82 ± 3.17 nm), the largest ζ-potential absolute value (16.39 ± 0.18 mV), and the highest adsorbed protein content (27.31%). Confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM) revealed that the emulsion aggregation was significantly improved by ultrasound treatment, and the average roughness value (Rq) was the smallest (10.3 nm) at 450 W. Additionally, HIU treatment reduced the interfacial tension and apparent viscosity of the emulsion. Thermal stability was best when the emulsion was treated at 450 W, D43 was minimal (907.95 ± 31.72 nm), and emulsion separation also improved. Consequently, the creaming index (CI) was significantly decreased compared to the untreated sample, indicating that the storage stability of the emulsion was enhanced.

Ultrasound technology was used to treat rice bran protein (RBP), and the structural and functional properties of ultrasonically treated RBP (URBP) and its chlorogenic acid (CA) complex were studied. When ultrasonic power of 200 W was applied for 10 min, the maximum emission peak λmax of the URBP-CA complex in the fluorescence spectrum was red-shifted by 3.6 nm compared to that of the untreated complex. The atomic force microscope (AFM) analysis indicated that the surface roughness of the complex was minimized (3.89 nm) at the ultrasonic power of 200 W and treatment time of 10 min. Under these conditions, the surface hydrophobicity (H0) was 1730, the contents of the α-helix and β-sheet in the complex were 2.97% and 6.17% lower than those in the untreated sample, respectively, the particle size decreased from 106 nm to 18.2 nm, and the absolute value of the zeta-potential increased by 11.0 mV. Therefore, ultrasonic treatment and the addition of CA changed the structural and functional properties of RBP. Moreover, when ultrasonic power of 200 W was applied for 10 min, the solubility, emulsifying activity index (EAI), and emulsion stability index (ESI) were 68%, 126 m2/g, and 37 min, respectively.

Recently, magnetic two-dimensional Cr2TiC2Tx MXenes with promising applications in spin electronics have been experimentally confirmed. However, the underlying magnetic mechanism needs to be further investigated. Along these lines, in this work, the magnetic properties of Cr2TiC2On/4F2−n/4 and Cr2TiC2On/4 structures were simulated through first-principle calculations using the GGA+U approach. The values of 4.1 and 3.1 eV were calculated for the Hubbard U of Cr and Ti, respectively, by applying the linear response method. Interestingly, the Cr2TiC2On/4F2−n/4-based configurations with low O content (n ≤ 4) exhibit antiferromagnetic behavior, while the majority of the respective configurations with high O content (n ≥ 5) are ferromagnetic. As far as the Cr2TiC2O5/4F3/4 structure (n = 5) is concerned, the value of about 2.64 μB was estimated for the magnetic moment of the Cr atom. On top of that, the Curie temperature lies within the range of 10~47 K. The extracted theoretical results are in good agreement with experimental outcomes of the Cr2TiC2O1.3F0.8-based structure. From the simulated results, it can be also argued that the magnetic moment of Cr atoms and the Neel temperature can be directly tuned by the active content of O atoms. The conductivity of both Cr2TiC2On/4F2−n/4 and Cr2TiC2On/4 configurations can be regulated by the externally applied magnetic field, while the density of states around the Fermi level shifted significantly between ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic arrangements. The acquired results provide important theoretical insights to tuning the magnetic properties of Cr2TiC2Tx-based structures through surface termination mechanisms, which are quite significant for their potential applications in spin electronics.

In this study, microcapsules were prepared by spray drying and embedding hemp seed oil (HSO) with soy protein isolate (SPI) and maltodextrin (MD) as wall materials. The effect of ultrasonic power on the microstructure and characteristics of the composite emulsion and microcapsules was studied. Studies have shown that ultrasonic power has a significant impact on the stability of composite emulsions. The particle size of the composite emulsion after 450 W ultrasonic treatment was significantly lower than the particle size of the emulsion without the ultrasonic treatment. Through fluorescence microscopy observation, HSO was found to be successfully embedded in the wall materials to form an oil/water (O/W) composite emulsion. The spray-dried microcapsules showed a smooth spherical structure through scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and the particle size was 10.7 μm at 450 W. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy analysis found that ultrasonic treatment would increase the degree of covalent bonding of the SPI-MD complex to a certain extent, thereby improving the stability and embedding effect of the microcapsules. Finally, oxidation kinetics models of HSO and HSO microcapsules were constructed and verified. The zero-order model of HSO microcapsules was found to have a higher degree of fit; after verification, the model can better reflect the quality changes of HSO microcapsules during storage.

Skin soft tissue expansion is one of the most basic and commonly used techniques in plastic surgery to obtain excess skin for a variety of medical uses. However, skin soft tissue expansion is faced with many problems, such as long treatment process, poor skin quality, high retraction rate, and complications. Therefore, a deeper understanding of the mechanisms of skin soft tissue expansion is needed. The key to skin soft tissue expansion lies in the mechanical stretch applied to the skin by an inflatable expander. Mechanical stimulation activates multiple signaling pathways through cellular adhesion molecules and regulates gene expression profiles in cells. Meanwhile, various types of cells contribute to skin expansion, including keratinocytes, dermal fibroblasts, and mesenchymal stem cells, which are also regulated by mechanical stretch. This article reviews the molecular and cellular mechanisms of skin regeneration induced by mechanical stretch during skin soft tissue expansion.

The clearance between the main roller and the cylinder cam has an important impact on the operational status of the bolt. In order to achieve the clearance and recoil of the cylinder cam mechanism, a bolt model was built and studied. The leading dynamic roller group and the dynamic bolt were analyzed. Positive stress and friction force change quickly on the high-speed leading roller group, influencing multiple aspects. When the main roller suddenly rotates or reverses in several short intervals, the assembling clearance and the massive friction force between the main roller and the cam curve slot are the main wear factors in theoretical analysis and test experiments. The leading roller group, the pure rolling criterion of the cylindrical cam mechanism of the automaton, is derived in this paper. Moreover, a new fault diagnosis method is developed, based on the Variational Box Dimension Kernel Fuzzy Mean Clustering Algorithm (VK) algorithm, which combines the variational mode decomposition and fractal box-counting dimension (VMD-FBCD) and the fuzzy clustering algorithms with a kernelized Mahalanobis distance (KMD-FC). With the simulation validation from 2810 samples, diagnosis using the VK algorithm is found to have a higher accuracy rate and slightly lower fallacy rate and to be faster than other diagnostic methods of similar studies. The results in terms of the recoil cylinder cam mechanism’s multi-body dynamic analysis and high-speed fault identification also have significance as a reference for solving similar problems.

Given the problems of low accuracy and complex process steps currently faced by the field of fault diagnosis, a fault diagnosis method based on multi-sensor data weighted fusion (MSDWF) combined with depth-wise separable convolutions (DWSC) is proposed. The method takes into account the temporal and spatial information contained in multi-sensor data and can realize end-to-end bearing fault diagnosis. MSDWF is committed to comprehensively characterizing the state information of bearings, and the weighted operation of the multi-sensor data is to establish the interactive information to tap into the inline relationship in the data; DWSC equipped with residual connection is used to realize the decoupling of the channel and spatial correlation of the data. In order to verify the proposed method, the data obtained by a different number of sensors with weighted and unweighted states are used as the input of DWSC, respectively, for comparison, and finally, the effectiveness of MSDWF is verified. Through the comparison between different fault diagnosis methods, the method based on MSDWF and DWSC shows better stability and higher accuracy. Finally, when facing different experimental datasets, the method has similar performance, which shows the stability of the method on different datasets.

The objects in remote sensing images have large-scale variations, arbitrary directions, and are usually densely arranged, and small objects are easily submerged by background noises. They all hinder accurate object detection. To address the above problems, this paper proposes an object detection method combining feature enhancement and hybrid attention. Firstly, a feature enhancement fusion network (FEFN) is designed, which carries out dilated convolution with different dilation rates acting on the multi-layer features, and thus fuses multi-scale, multi-receptive field feature maps to enhance the original features. FEFN obtains more robust and discriminative features, which adapt to various objects with different scales. Then, a hybrid attention mechanism (HAM) module composed of pixel attention and channel attention is proposed. Through context dependence and channel correlation, introduced by pixel attention and channel attention respectively, HAM can make the network focus on object features and suppress background noises. Finally, this paper uses box boundary-aware vectors to determine the locations of objects and detect the arbitrary direction objects accurately, even if they are densely arranged. Experiments on public dataset DOTA show that the proposed method achieves 75.02% mAP, showing an improvement of 2.7% mAP compared with BBAVectors.

MYB transcription factors (TFs) play an active role in plant responses to abiotic stresses, but they have not been systematically studied in kiwifruit (Actinidia chinensis). In this study, 181 AcMYB TFs were identified from the kiwifruit genome, unevenly distributed on 29 chromosomes. The high proportion (97.53%) of segmental duplication events (Ka/Ks values less than 1) indicated that AcMYB TFs underwent strong purification selection during evolution. According to the conservative structure, 91 AcR2R3-MYB TFs could be divided into 34 subgroups. A combination of transcriptomic data under drought and high temperature from four AcMYB TFs (AcMYB2, AcMYB60, AcMYB61 and AcMYB102) was screened out in response to stress and involvement in the phenylpropanoid pathway. They were highly correlated with the expression of genes related to lignin biosynthesis. qRT-PCR analysis showed that they were highly correlated with the expression of genes related to lignin biosynthesis in different tissues or under stress, which was consistent with the results of lignin fluorescence detection. The above results laid a foundation for further clarifying the role of MYB in stress.

Spermatogenesis is a process of self-renewal and differentiation in spermatogonial stem cells. During this process, germ cells and somatic cells interact intricately to ensure long-term fertility and accurate genome propagation. Spermatogenesis has been intensely investigated in mammals but remains poorly understood with regard to teleosts. Here, we performed single-cell RNA sequencing of ~9500 testicular cells from the male, orange-spotted grouper. In the adult testis, we divided the cells into nine clusters and defined ten cell types, as compared with human testis data, including cell populations with characteristics of male germ cells and somatic cells, each of which expressed specific marker genes. We also identified and profiled the expression patterns of four marker genes (calr, eef1a, s100a1, vasa) in both the ovary and adult testis. Our data provide a blueprint of male germ cells and supporting somatic cells. Moreover, the cell markers are candidates that could be used for further cell identification.

Ectoine, a heterocyclic amino acid produced by various bacteria, was widely used in the fields of cosmetics and medicine. In this study, a novel ectoine synthesis cluster from marine bacterium Salinicola salarius 1A01339 was firstly introduced into Escherichia coli BL21(DE3) for heterologous production of ectoine. The bioinformatic analysis proved the function of these ectoine synthesis enzymes, and showed the highest identities of 83.3–87.7% with enzymes from other microorganisms. Using the whole-cell biocatalytic method, 3.28 g/L ectoine was synthesized and excreted into the medium with the substrate of 200 mM sodium aspartate at 25 °C, pH 6.5 in flask-level. Further bioconversion was performed in the fermentor system at the high cell density of 20 OD/mL, and the concentration of extracellular ectoine was increased to 22.5 g/L in 24 h (equivalent to the specific productivity of 0.94 g/L·h), achieving over 6 times of production compared with that in flasks. Significantly, the recombinant strain demonstrated a lower catalytic temperature with the optimum of 25 °C, and a stronger tolerance to the substrate aspartate of 300 mM. These results might provide a compelling case for ectoine synthesis as well as potential applications in large-scale industrial production.

Thermal-sensitive hydrogel based on chitosan (CS) and β-glycerophosphate (GP) has shown good biocompatibility and biodegradability. But the application of such hydrogel is limited due to its poor mechanical property. Recently, graphene oxide(GO) is widely used as a reinforcement agent to prepare nanocomposites with different polymers for improving the properties of the materials. In this study, CS/GP-based hydrogels with different weight ratio of GO/CS (0.5, 1, 2%) were fabricated. The gelation time of the hydrogels at body temperature was evaluated by tube inverting method. The gelation process during heating was monitored by rheological measurement. The morphology, porosities, chemical structure, swelling properties of the lyophilized hydrogels were investigated by scanning electron microscopy, liquid displacement method, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and gravimetric method. Mechanical property of the hydrogels was analyzed by rheological measurement and unconfined compression test. MC3T3-E1 mouse pre-osteoblast cell line was used to assess the biological properties of the hydrogels. The results obtained from those assessments revealed that the addition of GO into CS/GP improved the properties of the prepared hydrogels without changing the high porous and interconnected microstructure and swelling ability of the hydrogels. The gelation time at body temperature was significantly reduced by nearly 20% with the addition of small amount of GO (0.5% weight ratio of CS). The mechanical properties of the hydrogels containing GO were improved significantly over that of CS/GP. The storage (G′)/loss (G″) moduli of the hydrogels with GO were 1.12 to 1.69 times that of CS/GP at the gelling temperature. The Young's modulus of 0.5%GO/CS/GP hydrogel is 1.76 times that of CS/GP. Moreover, the 0.5%GO/CS/GP hydrogel revealed remarkable biological affinity such as cellular attachment, viability and proliferation. All of these results suggest that 0.5%GO/CS/GP hydrogel has great potential for practical application in biomedical field.

Due to manufacturing errors, inaccurate measurement and working conditions changes, there are many uncertainties in laminated composite cylindrical shells, which causes the variation of vibration characteristics, and has an important influence on the overall performance. Therefore, an uncertainty representation methodology of natural frequency for laminated composite cylindrical shells is proposed, which considers probabilistic and interval variables simultaneously. The input interval variables are converted into a probabilistic density function or cumulative distribution function based on a four statistical moments method, and a unified probabilistic uncertainty analysis method is proposed to calculate the uncertainty of natural frequency. An adaptive Kriging surrogate model considering probabilistic uncertainty variables is established to accurately represent the natural frequency of laminated composite cylindrical shells. Finally, the dimensionless natural frequency of three-layer, five-layer and seven-layer laminated composite cylindrical shells with uncertainty input parameters is accurately represented. Compared with the Monte Carlo Simulation results, the mean error and standard deviation error are reduced to less than 0.07% and 4.7%, respectively, and the execution number of calculation function is significantly decreased, which fully proves the effectiveness of the proposed method.

A three-dimensionally ordered macroporous ZnO (3DOM ZnO) framework was synthesized by a template method to serve as a sulfur host for lithium–sulfur batteries. The unique 3DOM structure along with an increased active surface area promotes faster and better electrolyte penetration accelerating ion/mass transfer. Moreover, ZnO as a polar metal oxide has a strong adsorption capacity for polysulfides, which makes the 3DOM ZnO framework an ideal immobilization agent and catalyst to inhibit the polysulfides shuttle effect and promote the redox reactions kinetics. As a result of the stated advantages, the S/3DOM ZnO composite delivered a high initial capacity of 1110 mAh g−1 and maintained a capacity of 991 mAh g−1 after 100 cycles at 0.2 C as a cathode in a lithium–sulfur battery. Even at a high C-rate of 3 C, the S/3DOM ZnO composite still provided a high capacity of 651 mAh g−1, as well as a high areal capacity (4.47 mAh cm−2) under high loading (5 mg cm−2).

Basic oxygen furnace (BOF) steelmaking is widely used in the metallurgy field. The slagging reaction is a necessary process that oxidizes C, Mn, Si, P, S, and other impurities and therefore directly affects the quality of the resultant steel. Relevant research has suggested that intensifying the stirring effect can accelerate the slagging reaction and that the dynamic characteristics of the top blow are the key factor in exploring the related complex physical and chemical phenomena. To address the issue, the standard k-ω turbulence model and level-set method were adopted in the present work and a fluid dynamics model was developed for a BOF. Accordingly, the slag–metal–gas emulsion interaction and stirring effect were investigated, and the interference mechanism of a multi-nozzle supersonic coherent jet was revealed. Finally, a self-adjustment method based on fuzzy control is proposed for the oxygen lance. The results indicate that the transfer efficiency of jet kinetic energy at the gas–liquid interface is the critical factor for the slagging reaction and that multi-nozzle oxygen lances with a certain twisted angle have important advantages with respect to stirring effects and splashing inhibition. The fuzzy control method predicts that the optimal nozzle twist angle is within the range of 7.2° to 7.8°. The results presented herein can provide theoretical support and beneficial reference information for BOF steelmaking.

The 6K2 protein of potyviruses plays a key role in the viral infection in plants. In the present study, the coding sequence of 6K2 was cloned from Sugarcane mosaic virus (SCMV) strain FZ1 into pBT3-STE to generate the plasmid pBT3-STE-6K2, which was used as bait to screen a cDNA library prepared from sugarcane plants infected with SCMV based on the DUALmembrane system. One hundred and fifty-seven positive colonies were screened and sequenced, and the corresponding full-length genes were cloned from sugarcane cultivar ROC22. Then, 24 genes with annotations were obtained, and the deduced proteins were classified into three groups, in which eight proteins were involved in the stress response, 12 proteins were involved in transport, and four proteins were involved in photosynthesis based on their biological functions. Of the 24 proteins, 20 proteins were verified to interact with SCMV-6K2 by yeast two-hybrid assays. The possible roles of these proteins in SCMV infection on sugarcane are analyzed and discussed. This is the first report on the interaction of SCMV-6K2 with host factors from sugarcane, and will improve knowledge on the mechanism of SCMV infection in sugarcane.

An adverse intrauterine environment, induced by a chromium-restricted diet, is a potential cause of metabolic disease in adult life. Up to now, the relative mechanism has not been clear. C57BL female mice were time-mated and fed either a control diet (CD), or a chromium-restricted diet (CR) throughout pregnancy and the lactation period. After weaning, some offspring continued the diet diagram (CD-CD or CR-CR), while other offspring were transferred to another diet diagram (CD-CR or CR-CD). At 32 weeks of age, glucose metabolism parameters were measured, and the liver from CR-CD group and CD-CD group was analyzed using a gene array. Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) and Western blot were used to verify the result of the gene array. A maternal chromium-restricted diet resulted in obesity, hyperglycemia, hyperinsulinemia, increased area under the curve (AUC) of glucose in oral glucose tolerance testing and homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR). There were 463 genes that differed significantly (>1.5-fold change, p < 0.05) between CR-CD offspring (264 up-regulated genes, 199 down-regulated genes) and control offspring. The Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway and STRING (Search Tool for the Retrieval of Interacting Genes/Proteins) analysis revealed that the insulin signaling pathway and Wnt signaling pathway were in the center of the gene network. Our study provides the first evidence that maternal chromium deficiency influences glucose metabolism in pups through the regulation of insulin signaling and Wnt signaling pathways.
