1. Branched dodecaynes: synthesis and their optical properties

Two homologous branched dodecaynes 1,3,5-{(4-tBu)[2,3-(RC[rho]C)2]Ph(C[rho]C-C[rho]C)}3Ph (2a, R = H; 2b, R = Ph) were synthesized and characterized in this work. According to steady-state spectroscopy, their electronic absorption and luminescent behaviors were investigated and compared. Simultaneously, as a typical structure of this class of dodecaynes, the molecular configuration of dodecayne 2a was depicted by density functional theory (DFT) simulation and the maximal absorption were supported by the subsequent TD-DFT calculations. In addition, the electrochemiluminescence (ECL) emission was also investigated. The experiment results showed that [pi]-extended dodecayne 2b with more distorted trigonal-planar possessed strong and stable ECL emission, indicating that it has potential application in ECL and luminescence fields. Key words: dodecayne, synthesis, DFT simulation, luminescence Dans le cadre des presents travaux, nous avons synthetise et caracterise deux dodeca-ynes ramifies homologues de structure 1,3,5{(4-t-Bu)[2,3-(RC[rho]C)2]Ph(C[rho]C-C[rho]C)}3Ph (2a, R = H; 2b, R = Ph). A l'aide des donnees de spectroscopie a l'etat d'equilibre, nous avons etudie et compare leur comportement en absorption electronique et en luminescence. Parallelement, nous avons modelise la structure typique de cette classe, le dodeca-yne 2a, par simulation DFT pour en representer la configuration moleculaire, et nous avons ensuite deduit l'absorption maximale par calculs TD DFT, lesquels ont corrobore la valeur experimentale. De plus, nous avons etudie l'emission d'electrochimiluminescence (ECL). Les resultats experimentaux ont montre que le dodecayne 2b, qui possede un systeme [pi] etendu dont le plan trigonal est plus deforme, produisait des emissions ECL intenses et stables, ce qui laisse entrevoir une possibilite d'application de ce compose aux domaines de l'electrochimiluminescence et de la luminescence.
