Purpose: The influence of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection on clinical outcomes in patients receiving (chemo)radiation therapy (RT) for squamous cell carcinoma of the anus (SCCA) is debated. The objective of this study was to compare efficacy and safety according to HIV status in patients with SCCA treated with C/RT., Methods and Materials: Between January 2015 and April 2020, 488 patients with a known HIV status (17.6% HIV+) were treated with radiation therapy for SCCA and included in the FFCD-ANABASE multicentric prospective cohort. Clinical outcomes including overall survival (OS), locoregional recurrence-free survival, colostomy-free survival, response rate at 4 to 6 months, cancer-specific survival, relapse-free survival, and severe acute and late toxicity were compared between HIV+ and HIV- patients., Results: The median follow-up was 35.8 months. HIV+ patients were younger (P < .01) and predominantly male (P < .01). Intensity modulated radiation therapy was performed in 80.7% of patients, and 80.9% received concurrent chemotherapy. A higher proportion of HIV+ patients received induction chemotherapy compared with HIV- patients. No statistically significant difference in overall treatment time or severe acute and late toxicities was found between HIV+ and HIV- patients. In univariate analyses, OS (HR = 2.1 [CI 95% 1.2;3.5], P = .007), locoregional recurrence-free survival (HR = 1.7 [1.1;2.7], P = .02), and colostomy-free survival (HR = 1.7 [1.1;2.6], P = .01) were significantly shorter in HIV+ patients than in HIV- patients. Response rate, cancer-specific survival, and relapse-free survival were not significantly different. The recurrence site was significantly different according to HIV status. In the multivariate analysis, prognostic factors for OS were a World Health Organization performance status of ≥1 for the whole population, as well as HIV+ status for the subgroup of women., Conclusions: HIV+ patients treated with chemo-RT for SCCA have poorer clinical outcomes, especially women. Background: Little is known about the management of squamous cell carcinoma of the anal canal and its recurrence at a population level. The aim of this study was to draw a picture of management, recurrence and survival in squamous cell carcinoma of the anal canal., Material and Methods: The 5-year probability of recurrences was estimated using the cumulative incidence function to consider competing risks of death. Net survival was estimated and a multivariate survival analysis was performed. The study was conducted using data of the Burgundy Digestive Cancer Registry. Overall, 273 squamous cell carcinomas of the anal canal registered between 1998 and 2014 were considered., Results: Overall, 80% of patients were treated with curative intent. Of these, 61% received chemoradiotherapy, 35% received radiotherapy and 4% received abdominoperineal resection alone. After these treatments, for cure the 5-year cumulative recurrence rate was 27% overall; it was 20% after chemoradiotherapy and 38% after radiotherapy. Five-year net survival was 71% overall; it was 81% after chemoradiotherapy and 55% after radiotherapy., Conclusions and Relevance: Chemoradiotherapy was highly effective in routine practice. We confirm that it is difficult to distinguish between persistent active disease and local inflammation due to radiotherapy. Squamous cell carcinoma of the anal canal recurrences remains a substantial problem, highlighting the interest of prolonged surveillance. Background: Treatment of locally advanced rectal cancer with chemoradiotherapy, surgery, and adjuvant chemotherapy controls local disease, but distant metastases remain common. We aimed to assess whether administering neoadjuvant chemotherapy before preoperative chemoradiotherapy could reduce the risk of distant recurrences., Methods: We did a phase 3, open-label, multicentre, randomised trial at 35 hospitals in France. Eligible patients were adults aged 18-75 years and had newly diagnosed, biopsy-proven, rectal adenocarcinoma staged cT3 or cT4 M0, with a WHO performance status of 0-1. Patients were randomly assigned (1:1) to either the neoadjuvant chemotherapy group or standard-of-care group, using an independent web-based system by minimisation method stratified by centre, extramural extension of the tumour into perirectal fat according to MRI, tumour location, and stage. Investigators and participants were not masked to treatment allocation. The neoadjuvant chemotherapy group received neoadjuvant chemotherapy with FOLFIRINOX (oxaliplatin 85 mg/m 2 , irinotecan 180 mg/m 2 , leucovorin 400 mg/m 2 , and fluorouracil 2400 mg/m 2 intravenously every 14 days for 6 cycles), chemoradiotherapy (50 Gy during 5 weeks and 800 mg/m 2 concurrent oral capecitabine twice daily for 5 days per week), total mesorectal excision, and adjuvant chemotherapy (3 months of modified FOLFOX6 [intravenous oxaliplatin 85 mg/m 2 and leucovorin 400 mg/m 2 , followed by intravenous 400 mg/m 2 fluorouracil bolus and then continuous infusion at a dose of 2400 mg/m 2 over 46 h every 14 days for six cycles] or capecitabine [1250 mg/m 2 orally twice daily on days 1-14 every 21 days]). The standard-of-care group received chemoradiotherapy, total mesorectal excision, and adjuvant chemotherapy (for 6 months). The primary endpoint was disease-free survival assessed in the intention-to-treat population at 3 years. Safety analyses were done on treated patients. This trial was registered with EudraCT (2011-004406-25) and ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT01804790) and is now complete., Findings: Between June 5, 2012, and June 26, 2017, 461 patients were randomly assigned to either the neoadjuvant chemotherapy group (n=231) or the standard-of-care group (n=230). At a median follow-up of 46·5 months (IQR 35·4-61·6), 3-year disease-free survival rates were 76% (95% CI 69-81) in the neoadjuvant chemotherapy group and 69% (62-74) in the standard-of-care group (stratified hazard ratio 0·69, 95% CI 0·49-0·97; p=0·034). During neoadjuvant chemotherapy, the most common grade 3-4 adverse events were neutropenia (38 [17%] of 225 patients) and diarrhoea (25 [11%] of 226). During chemoradiotherapy, the most common grade 3-4 adverse event was lymphopenia (59 [28%] of 212 in the neoadjuvant chemotherapy group vs 67 [30%] of 226 patients in the standard-of-care group). During adjuvant chemotherapy, the most common grade 3-4 adverse events were lymphopenia (18 [11%] of 161 in the neoadjuvant chemotherapy group vs 42 [27%] of 155 in the standard-of-care group), neutropenia (nine [6%] of 161 vs 28 [18%] of 155), and peripheral sensory neuropathy (19 [12%] of 162 vs 32 [21%] of 155). Serious adverse events occurred in 63 (27%) of 231 participants in the neoadjuvant chemotherapy group and 50 (22%) of 230 patients in the standard-of-care group (p=0·167), during the whole treatment period. During adjuvant therapy, serious adverse events occurred in 18 (11%) of 163 participants in the neoadjuvant chemotherapy group and 36 (23%) of 158 patients in the standard-of-care group (p=0·0049). Treatment-related deaths occurred in one (<1%) of 226 patients in the neoadjuvant chemotherapy group (sudden death) and two (1%) of 227 patients in the standard-of-care group (one sudden death and one myocardial infarction)., Interpretation: Intensification of chemotherapy using FOLFIRINOX before preoperative chemoradiotherapy significantly improved outcomes compared with preoperative chemoradiotherapy in patients with cT3 or cT4 M0 rectal cancer. The significantly improved disease-free survival in the neoadjuvant chemotherapy group and the decreased neurotoxicity indicates that the perioperative approach is more efficient and better tolerated than adjuvant chemotherapy. Background and Purpose: Standard treatment of epidermoid anal cancer is 5-fluorouracil (5FU) and mitomycin C (MMC) based chemoradiotherapy (CRT). This phase I study aims to evaluate the addition of panitumumab (Pmab) to CRT and to determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) of Pmab and 5-FU in combination with CRT., Materials and Methods: Immunocompetent patients with locally advanced tumour without metastases (Stage T2, T3 or T4, whatever N stage; Stage N1-N3 whatever T stage) followed two RT periods (45 Gy in 5 weeks and 20 Gy in 2 weeks, separated by a 2-week break) with concomitant CT sessions of 5FU/MMC at RT weeks 1, 5 and 8. Pmab was administered on RT weeks 1, 3, 5, 8 and 10 according to a predefined dose escalation schedule., Results: Ten patients were enroled. One was excluded due to unmet dose constraints respect. Three patients received dose level (DL) 0 (Pmab 3 mg/kg + 5FU 600 mg/m 2 /day) and six received DL-1 (Pmab 3 mg/kg + 5FU 400 mg/m 2 /day). Dose-limiting toxicities occurred in all patients at DL 0 and 2 at DL-1. Most common grade 3-4 toxicities observed at DL 0 were haematologic (100%), dermatitis (67%), and anaemia (67%). No death occurred. Four months after ending CRT, five and two patients had a local complete response and a partial response, respectively. One patient had a colostomy with abdomino-perineal amputation due to a tumour recurrence., Conclusions: The MTD is 5FU at 400 mg/m 2 /day, MMC at 10 mg/m 2 and Pmab at 3 mg/kg. Background: Patients with borderline (BR) or locally advanced (LA) pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PAC) are often treated with induction FOLFIRINOX (FLX). However, the role of additional preoperative chemoradiotherapy (CRT) is controversial. The aim of this study is to evaluate its impact in patients who underwent resection after induction FLX., Patients and Methods: Retrospective analysis of prospective consecutive surgical BR or LA PAC patients after induction FLX in 23 French centers between November 2010 and December 2015, treated with or without preoperative additional CRT (FLX vs FLX + CRT groups)., Results: Two hundred three patients were included (106 BR, 97 LA PAC). Median number of FLX cycles was 6 (range 1-30); 50% (n = 102) of patients received additional CRT. Median duration between diagnosis and surgery was 5.4 and 8.7 months (P = 0.001) in the FLX and FLX + CRT group, respectively. The 90-day mortality, major complications, and pancreatic fistula rates were 4.4%, 17.7%, and 5.4%, respectively. After 45.1 months follow-up, overall survival (OS) and disease-free survival were 45.4 months and 16.2 months, respectively. Patients with additional CRT had higher R0 resection rate (89.2% vs 76.3%; P = 0.017), ypN0 rate (76.2% vs 48.5%; P < 0.001), and higher rate of pathologic major response (33.3% vs 12.9%; P = 0.001). In the FLX + CRT group, patients had lower rate of locoregional relapse (28.3% vs 50.7%; P = 0.004). Patients with additional CRT had longer OS than those receiving FLX alone (57.8 vs 35.5 months; P = 0.007)., Conclusions: Pathological results and survival data argue for interest in additional CRT. Prospective studies on an intention-to-treat basis are needed to confirm these results.

Aim: To assess regular MRI findings and tumour texture features on pre-CRT imaging as potential predictive factors of event-free survival (disease progression or death) after chemoradiotherapy (CRT) for anal squamous cell carcinoma (ASCC) without metastasis., Materials and Methods: We retrospectively included 28 patients treated by CRT for pathologically proven ASCC with a pre-CRT MRI. Texture analysis was carried out with axial T2W images by delineating a 3D region of interest around the entire tumour volume. First-order analysis by quantification of the histogram was carried out. Second-order statistical texture features were derived from the calculation of the grey-level co-occurrence matrix using a distance of 1 (d1), 2 (d2) and 5 (d5) pixels. Prognostic factors were assessed by Cox regression and performance of the model by the Harrell C-index., Results: Eight tumour progressions led to six tumour-specific deaths. After adjusting for age, gender and tumour grade, skewness (HR = 0.131, 95% CI = 0-0.447, p = 0.005) and cluster shade&#95;d1 (HR = 0.601, 95% CI = 0-0.861, p = 0.027) were associated with event occurrence. The corresponding Harrell C-indices were 0.846, 95% CI = 0.697-0.993, and 0.851, 95% CI = 0.708-0.994., Conclusion: ASCC MR texture analysis provides prognostic factors of event occurrence and requires additional studies to assess its potential in an "individual dose" strategy for ASCC chemoradiation therapy., Key Points: • MR texture features help to identify tumours with high progression risk. • Texture feature maps help to identify intra-tumoral heterogeneity. • Texture features are a better prognostic factor than regular MR findings.

Background: Chemoradiotherapy (CHRT) is often advocated for locally-advanced biliary tract cancer (LABTC). However there was not comparative study with chemotherapy alone (CH)., Patients and Methods: Patients with hilar or extrahepatic non-metastatic, LABTC could be included in this phase II trial. The inclusion criteria required World Health Organisation (WHO) performance status ⩽ 2, bilirubinemia ⩽ 50 μM/L after biliary drainage if necessary, and possibility of external radiotherapy. Fluorouracil (5 FU) infusion and cisplatin, were given in association to radiotherapy (50 Gy) in the CHRT arm. Gemcitabine+oxaliplatin (GEMOX) was planned for 6 months in the CH arm. End-points were progression-free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS), toxicity and rate of biliary complications., Results: The trial was closed before completion due to slow recruitment. Eighteen and 16 patients were included in the CHRT and CH arms, respectively. Median follow up was 27.9 months (± 2.8). Grade III-IV toxicities were mostly haematological (23% and 25%), and gastrointestinal (11% and 6%), in the CHRT and CH arm, respectively. Biliary complications occurred in 28% of patients in the CHRT arm and 44% of patients in the CH arm (risk ratio (RR): 1.60 [0.65-3.92]). Median PFS was 5.8 months in the CHRT group and 11.0 months in the CH group (hazard ratio (HR): 0.65 [0.32-1.33]). Neoadjuvant treatment (NAT) is debated for borderline resectable pancreatic cancer (BRPC). This retrospective study assessed the impact of NAT on R0 rate and survival for BRPC patients in comparison with upfront surgery (US). Between 2010 and 2017 patient records for all consecutive patients treated for BRPC according to NCCN 2017 were reviewed. The endpoints analysed were R0 rate, recurrence-free-survival (RFS) and overall survival (OS). Seventy-nine patients were included: 63 (79.7%) patients received NAT and 16 (20.3%) were upfront operated. NAT consisted in FOLFIRINOX (median cycles: 5, range 4–8) followed by chemoradiation (n = 55, 87.3%, median dose: 54 Gy). Thirty-nine (61.9%) patients had resection. R0 rate was higher in the NAT group considering a margin clearance of 0 mm (94.9%) or 1 mm (89.7%) compared to the US group (68.8% and 43.8% respectively). In the whole population, median RFS was 12.6 [95%CI: 10.5–22.1] in the NAT group vs 7.7 [95%CI: 4.4–14] months in the US group (p < 0.01). Median OS was 29.0 [95%CI: 23.5–63.1] and 27.2 [95%CI: 11.6–38.8] months in the NAT and US groups respectively (p = 0.06). In operated patients the NAT group achieved better RFS and OS than the US group (p < 0.01 for both). In multivariate analysis NAT, surgical resection and age <65 (p < 0.01 for both) were prognostic of RFS. NAT, surgical resection and adjuvant chemotherapy were prognostic of OS (p < 0.05 for all). In operated patients (n = 55) multivariate analysis showed that N1 status was associated with decreased RFS; age < 65 and NAT were associated with a longer RFS. Receiving a NAT, an adjuvant chemotherapy and achieving a ypT0-1N0 status were associated with better OS. NAT was well tolerated with 14.3% grade ≥ 3 toxicities. for localized T1N0 squamous cell carcinoma of the anus (SCCA) standard radiotherapy (RT) may result in overtreatment and alternative strategies are debated. T1N0M0 SCCA treated between 2015 and 2020 by local excision (LE) or RT were analyzed from the French prospective FFCD ANABASE cohort. Treatment strategies, recurrence-free and colostomy-free survivals (RFS, CFS) and prognostic factors were reported. among 1135 SCCA patients, 99 T1N0M0 were treated by LE(n = 17,17.2%), or RT (n = 82,82.8%) including RT alone (n = 65,79.2%) or chemo-RT (n = 17, 20.7%). Median follow-up was 27.2 months [0.03–54.44]. Median tumor size were 11.4 mm [0.9–20] and 15.3 mm [2–20] in the LE and RT groups respectively. Mean RT tumor dose was 59.4 Gy [18–69.4 Gy]. One patient in LE group and 9 in RT group had a pelvic recurrence, either local (60%), nodal (10%) or both (30%). RFS and CFS at 24 months were 92.2%[95%CI,83.4–96.4] and 94.6%[95%CI,86.1–98.0], at 36 months 88.1%[95%CI,77.1–94.2] and 88.5%[95%CI,77.0–94.5], in LE and RT group respectively, without any significative difference (HR = 0.57;[95%CI,0.07–4.45]; p = 0.60). Neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy, potentially relevant to increase resection rate in pancreatic cancer, is still debated. To assess tolerance, resection rate and outcomes of patients with non-metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma treated by concomitant chemoradiotherapy. This monocentric study included all consecutive patients treated from 2010 to 2014 for non-metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma. Chemotherapy was followed by chemoradiotherapy in operable patients, surgical resectability being assessed by CT-scan. Seventy-nine patients were included: 41 patients had borderline and 38 locally advanced tumours. All patients were treated by chemotherapy (FOLFIRINOX), followed by chemoradiotherapy (median dose: 59 Gy, range 45–66 Gy) for 94% of patients. Thirty-seven patients (47%) could subsequently benefit from surgery with a complete R0 resection in 94% of cases, with a postoperative mortality of 5%. Median overall survival was 21.5 months (median follow-up: 48.8 months). Local control, overall and disease-free survival were significantly higher for patients who underwent resection compared to others, with 89.2% vs 59.5% (p = 0.01), 49.7 vs 17.4 months (p < 0.01) and 25.5 vs 9.2 months (p < 0.01), respectively. Neoadjuvant treatment consisting of FOLFIRINOX chemotherapy followed by chemoradiotherapy is an efficient strategy for patients with borderline and locally advanced pancreatic cancer, resulting in a 43% rate of secondary complete surgical resection associated with high local control, overall and disease-free survival. Abstract The overall prognosis of patients with esophageal cancer has improved in recent decades due to surgical and medical progress, but overall survival remains poor. Better patient selection and tailored treatment are needed. Different prognostic factors linked with the patient, tumoral characteristics and treatment with curative intent have been identified and are the purpose of this review. Tumor detection at an earlier stage, the advent of new molecules and therapeutic combinations, and the centralization of management in high-volume centers should help to improve the prognosis of esophageal cancer. Background: Often curative treatment for locally advanced resectable esophageal or gastro-esophageal junctional cancer consists of concurrent neoadjuvant radiotherapy and chemotherapy followed by surgery. Currently, one of the most commonly used chemotherapy regimens in this setting is a combination of a fluoropyrimidin and of a platinum analogue. Due to the promising results of the recent CROSS trial, another regimen combining paclitaxel and carboplatin is also widely used by European and American centers. No clinical study has shown the superiority of one treatment over the other. The objective of this Phase II study is to clarify clinical practice by comparing these two chemotherapy treatments. Our aim is to evaluate, in operable esophageal and gastro-esophageal junctional cancer, the complete resection rate and severe postoperative morbidity rate associated with these two neoadjuvant chemotherapeutic regimens (carboplatin-paclitaxel or fluorouracil-oxaliplatin-folinic acid) when each is combined with the radiation regime utilized in the CROSS trial.Methods/design: PROTECT is a prospective, randomized, multicenter, open arms, phase II trial. Eligible patients will have a histologically confirmed adenocarcinoma or squamous cell carcinoma and be treated with neoadjuvant radiochemotherapy followed by surgery for stage IIB or stage III resectable esophageal cancer. L'actualité en oncologie radiothérapie est marquée par les résultats d'essais stratégiques particulièrement pour les cancers de l'œsophage et du rectum. Pour l'adénocarcinome de l'œsophage, en situation préopératoire, les résultats de l'étude ESOPEC ont montré un bénéfice de survie de la chimiothérapie périopératoire par 5-fluoro-uracile, leucovorine oxaliplatine, taxotère en comparaison à la chimioradiothérapie (irradiation de 41,4 Gy avec une chimiothérapie concomitante par carboplatine/paclitaxel). En situation exclusive, l'étude CONCORDE n'a pas montré de bénéfice de l'escalade de dose et la dose standard reste 50 Gy. Pour le cancer du pancréas opérable, l'étude NRG/RTOG0848 qui comparait la chimiothérapie adjuvante avec ou sans chimioradiothérapie complémentaire a retrouvé une augmentation significative de la probabilité de survie sans maladie à 5 ans dans le sous-groupe de patients sans atteinte ganglionnaire. Pour les cancers du rectum, l'actualisation à 7 ans des résultats de l'étude PRODIGE 23 a confirmé le bénéfice non seulement en termes de survie sans récidive mais également de survie globale d'une chimiothérapie néoadjuvante par 5-fluoro-uracile, acide folinique, irinotécan et oxalipalatine avant la chimioradiothérapie, alors que l'actualisation de l'étude RAPIDO a montré un taux de rechute locale inacceptable dans le bras expérimental. L'actualisation de l'étude OPRA a montré un taux de survie avec conservation d'organe à 5 ans significativement supérieur en faveur du bras chimioradiothérapie suivie de la chimiothérapie en comparaison à la chimiothérapie d'induction première suivie de chimioradiothérapie. Une étude de phase 2 incluant 41 patients atteints d'un cancer du rectum localement avancé avec défaillance du système de réparation de l'ADN, a montré qu'un traitement exclusif par immunothérapie anti-PDL1 (dostarlimab) pendant 6 mois permettait une réponse clinique complète sans recours à un traitement complémentaire (ni radiothérapie, ni chirurgie). Pour le carcinome épidermoïde du canal anal, la survie et les profils de toxicité des patients inclus dans la cohorte anabase traités pour une tumeur de petit stade (T1 ou T2) ont été comparés selon qu'ils aient reçu exclusivement de la radiothérapie ou de la chimioradiothérapie. L'ajout d'une chimiothérapie à la radiothérapie ne montrait pas de bénéfice mais augmentait la toxicité et le risque d'allongement du traitement en raison d'interruption. Current events in radiotherapy oncology are marked by the results of strategic trials, particularly for esophageal and rectal cancers. For resectable esophageal adenocarcinoma, results of the ESOPEC study showed a benefit in overall survival from the perioperative chemotherapy with fluorouracil plus leucovorin, oxaliplatin and docetaxel compared to chemoradiotherapy (41.4 Gy radiotherapy and carboplatin/paclitaxel chemotherapy). In definitive setting, the CONCORDE study did not show any benefit from dose escalation and the standard dose remains 50 Gy. For resectable pancreatic cancer, the NRG/RTOG0848 study that compared adjuvant chemotherapy with or without chemoradiotherapy found a significant increase of the 5-year disease-free survival rate in the subgroup of node-negative patients. For rectal cancers, the 7-year update of PRODIGE 23 study confirmed the benefit in disease-free- and overall survival of neoadjuvant folinic acid, fluorouracil, irinotecan and oxaliplatin chemotherapy before chemoradiotherapy of T3, T4 or N+ adenocarcinoma, while the update of the RAPIDO study revealed an unacceptable local recurrence rate in the experimental arm. The update of the OPRA study shows a significantly higher 5-year organ preservation rate in favor of the chemoradiotherapy arm followed by consolidation chemotherapy compared to induction chemotherapy followed by CRT. A phase 2 study, including 41 patients with mismatch repair deficient, locally advanced rectal cancer reported that exclusive treatment with anti-PDL1 immunotherapy (dostarlimab) for 6 months resulted in complete clinical response without the need of additional treatment (neither radiotherapy nor surgery). For anal carcinoma, the analysis of survival and toxicity profiles of patients treated for a small stage T1 or T2 tumor were compared depending on whether they received exclusive radiotherapy or chemoradiotherapy. • We have included Quality of Life analyses and oncogeriatric evaluations in the randomized trial for locally advanced rectal cancers in the elderly (PRODIGE 42/GERICO 12 study). • There was no statistical difference between the two groups for the global EORTC QLQ-C30 score. • Several factors of the EORTC QLQ C30 score and the IADL are statistically in favor of the short course radiotherapy group at 3 months post-op. • The disease burden is perceived as more negative in the radiochemotherapy group. • Short course radiotherapy achieves better Quality of Life and preservation of autonomy in patients aged ≥75 treated for locally advanced rectal cancer. The results of the PRODIGE 42/GERICO 12 study showed that short course radiotherapy had a better tolerance profile than radiochemotherapy, with comparable oncological results. We have included Quality of Life analyses and oncogeriatric evaluations in this study. In all, 101 patients ≥75 years of age with resectable T3-T4 rectal adenocarcinoma less than 12 cm from the anal margin received short course radiotherapy (5X5 Gy in one week) or radiochemotherapy (50 Gy, 2 y/f and capecitabine 800 mg/m2, 5 days/week) with delayed surgery (7 weeks ± 1) in both groups. The Quality of Life analyses (EORTC QLQ C-30 et ELD14) were conducted upon inclusion, pre-operatively, at 3, 6 and 12 months post-op, together with the oncogeriatric evaluations, including an evaluation of the IADL and ADL scores, walking speed, GDS15, MMSE, MNA. We did not highlight any statistical difference for the global EORTC QLQ-C30 score; several factors are statistically in favor of the short course radiotherapy group at 3 months post-op (cognitive functions, fatigue, appetite). In the case of the ELD14 score, the disease burden is perceived as more negative at 3, 6 and 12 months postop in the radiochemotherapy group. The IADL score deteriorated in 44.8 % of the radiochemotherapy group and 14.8 % of the radiotherapy group (p = 0.032); similarly, the GDS15 depression score was better preserved in the short course radiotherapy group (p = 0.05). An analysis of the other scores: ADL, walking speed, MNA, MMSE did not highlight any statistical difference.
