Under the event-triggered scheme, this note focuses on the problem of finite-time stability analysis of the switched system with controller failure and external interference. Firstly, in order to save network communication resources, the mixed event-triggered condition is considered. This mechanism can not only avoid Zeno phenomenon, but also use the sampled information more effectively. In addition, the saturation characteristics of the actuator are fully considered, which can further reduce the number of triggers. According to different event-triggered conditions, an algorithm is proposed to estimate the attraction domain. Then, through the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional approach and average dwell time technology, the closed-loop switched system is analyzed. The determination condition of finite-time stability is obtained. To illustrate the advantages of our established results, a numerical example is finally given. This paper investigates the cooperative state feedback control problem for delta operator-based large-scale systems with independent subsystems. First, the state feedback controller is introduced to interconnect the adjacent subsystems into a closed-loop system. Second, the Lyapunov function in delta domain is constructed, and the linear matrix inequality method is used to design the cooperative state feedback stability controller for the whole large-scale interconnected system. Third, a performance index is introduced for the design of the optimal cooperative state feedback controller. Finally, stability of the closed-loop system is proved on the basis of stability theory, and simulation examples are given for showing the effectiveness of the design method. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper aims to address the fault-tolerant control problem for a class of discrete-time Takagi–Sugeno fuzzy Markov jump systems, where Markov process is introduced to represent the structural changes in system parameters. And a group of Bernoulli distributed white variables are introduced to characterize the random gain variations. Also, according to Lyapunov stability theory, a set of sufficient conditions which can achieve the mean square stochastic stability with an extended dissipative performance index of the closed-loop systems are established. An H ∞ congestion tracking control problem for nonlinear transmission control protocol/active queue management (TCP/AQM) network is proposed in this paper. Inspired by the existing network models, a modified TCP/AQM network model with external disturbance and modelling uncertainty is first introduced. And then, a novel function for the desired queue length is defined for the first time, which can simulate the changes in the queue length during a day. Next, a novel AQM scheme is presented to control network congestion by combining H ∞ theory and integral backstepping technique. The proposed method guarantees that the better tracking performance of the queue is achieved, and all the signals are asymptotically stable in the closed-loop system in probability. Inspired by the prescribed performance control (PPC), a new performance function, called finite-time performance function (FTPF), is first defined in this paper, by which a novel finite-time control design process is introduced. This work is also the first to solve the finite-time control issue for a class of transmission control protocol/active queue management (TCP/AQM) networks. Meanwhile, with the aid of FTPF, PPC and neural networks, a new adaptive practically pre-assigned finite-time controller is designed, which guarantees that the queue length q (t) tracks the desired queue q ref in finite-time and all the signals of the closed-loop system are semi-globally practical finite-time stable (SGPFS). This paper studies the discrete-time slow state feedback fault-tolerant controller design issue for Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy-model-based Markov jump singularly perturbed nonlinear systems, in which transition probabilities of systems subject to persistent dwell-time switching mechanism. In order to eliminate the influence of actuator faults and provide a more flexible control strategy, a multi-objective fault-tolerant controller is designed to ensure the stability of the system and meet the requirements of various performance indexes. The goal is to establish some sufficient conditions, which ensure the mean-square exponential stability and the extended dissipativity performance of the closed-loop system. Furthermore, the gains of the designed controller can be obtained by solving the problem of convex optimization. • This is the first work to design a finite-time controller with a new adaptive mechanism by constructing a novel preset region. The dynamical change of the control gain is dependent on the case whether the state trajectories enter or leave a pre-designed domain or not. • The novel adaptive control strategy is presented to avoid the overestimation of the developed adaptive gain based on the adding a power integrator technique and the Lyapunov method. Meanwhile, the novel practical adaptive finite-time controller could improve the dynamic performance of systems and reduce the potential chattering influence. • In practical applications, the system states are usually finite-time stabilized to a neighborhood of the origin, rather than the origin. From this point of view, the investigation of practical finite-time stability (PFTS) for nonlinear systems is more meaningful. This paper considers the practical adaptive finite-time stabilization problem for a class of second-order systems. Based on the adding a power integrator technique and the adaptive method, a novel adaptive control strategy is presented to assure the trajectories of the closed-loop systems converge to a small neighborhood of the origin in a finite time. • As the first attempt, we considered the state information required by the sliding mode controller will be randomly dropouts, which is reflected in the obtained equivalent sliding mode controller. • A novel method is utilized for the SMC problem of the PDT switched systems with data dropouts, and a novel SMC law is proposed. • For the PDT switched systems, some sufficient conditions to guarantee the mean-square exponential stability with data dropouts are derived for the PDT switched systems and the H ∞ performance of the system is analyzed through utilizing the linear matrix inequality technique. This paper concentrates on the sliding mode control problem for a set of discrete-time switched systems. As the first attempt, the persistent dwell-time switching rule is considered in the research of sliding mode control for switched systems. Furthermore, data dropouts are frequently encountered in the process of data transmission, and it should be considered in the process of designing the sliding mode control law so that the state trajectories are guaranteed to move in a region around the specified sliding surface. Based on the Lyapunov theory and the matrix convex optimization technique, the main concern of this paper is to construct a sliding mode controller to ensure that the closed-loop system is mean-square exponentially stable with a prescribed weighted H ∞ performance. • Compared with the previous works about MJSPSs that the controller was assumed to directly obtain the system mode, we utilize the HMM to describe this asynchronous phenomenon, thus the designed controller is more general and appropriate. • Aiming at the Markov jump and singularly perturbed parameter (SPP) in the system, a proper mode-independent sliding surface and an asynchronous SMC law in consideration of the singularly perturbed parameter matrix are proposed based on the HMM approach. • As the first attempt, the fault-tolerant control scheme is applied in the asynchronous SMC for MJSPSs. This work studies the asynchronous fault-tolerant sliding mode control for uncertain stochastic jumping systems subject to singular perturbations, in which the controller is assumed to be able to estimate the hidden system mode through a detector with a conditional probability via the hidden-Markov model. Additionally, in consideration of avoiding the system performance decreases generated by the actuator degradation, the synthesized fault-tolerant sliding mode control scheme is first employed. Through applying a common singularly perturbed parameter based sliding surface, this paper attempts to construct a proper asynchronous sliding mode control law that can ensure not only the reachability but also the closed-loop system is stable with an expected H ∞ performance index. By virtue of the mode-dependent Lyapunov function and the hidden-Markov model approach, sufficient conditions are acquired.
