This article discusses the combined use of virtual reality (VR) and neuromodulation in the motor and cognitive rehabilitation of patients with chronic stroke. VR promotes feedback, intensity, and task-oriented training, while Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) modulates cortical excitability. The aim of the study was to investigate the effects of this rehabilitation program on patients with chronic stroke. Ten patients were selected, and after the treatment, there was a significant improvement in motor function, activities of daily living, cognitive function, and static and dynamic balance. These preliminary results indicate that the combination of VR and tDCS may be effective in improving the functional outcomes of patients with chronic stroke. [Extracted from the article]
