To solve the problem, an algorithm which embeds a very large-scale neighborhood (VSLN) search into a simulated annealing framework is developed. A numerical study is conducted to verify the effectiveness of the solution approach. Abstract

In order to keep the display apparatus reliability of reading braille point, reduce the production cost, improve the penetration rate, based on the mini stepper motor as the driving mechanism, we design a based on the STM32 braille display device. This paper first describes the overall design scheme of the blind to read and the assembly plan, and the hardware design and the function of each module is introduced, at the same time, the embedded software development and implementation process. And sets up a physical model for verification, the apparatus succeeds in converting English characters into corresponding braille raised dots, resulting in helping the blind to read electronic texts.

Abstract

The establishment of the indicator system is an important process that helps enterprises to carry out benchmarking on energy efficiency, and is a ligament to link all procedures of benchmarking. According to energy consumption status of molybdenum enterprise, this paper is collecting the factors which have influences on the energy efficiency level. Then the indexes are screened using interpretative structural model, and the energy efficiency index system based on energy consumption of the main process is designed and optimized.

4. A Lagrangian Relaxation Based Heuristic for Solving the Length-Balanced Two Arc-Disjoint Shortest Paths Problem.

Abstract

We consider a HAZMAT transportation problem, which is modeled as the length-balanced two arc-disjoint shortest paths problem (LB2SP). The objective function of LB2SP is expressed as a weighted sum of two terms, i.e., the sum of the path lengths and the positive length difference between the paths. We demonstrate that LB2SP is NP-Hard, and formulate it as an Integer Programming (IP) model. We develop a Lagrangian relaxation based heuristic (LRBH) for LB2SP. Computational experiments are conducted to compare the performance of LRBH with the CPLEX solver, showing that the LRBH is efficient for LB2SP. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

5. A Multi-exchange Heuristic for a Production Location Problem.

Abstract

In this work, we develop a multi-exchange heuristic based on an estimation improvement graph embedded in a simulated annealing to solve a problem arising in plant location planning where tariff exemptions apply. The method is shown to be effective in experiments since it provides good solutions for problems of realistic size.
