In the hierarchical control problems of the large scale systems, the leader-follower games (so called Stackelberg games) play a very important role. In large scale system, the coordinator (the leader) possesses a supervisory position to coordinate the sub- systems (the followers). A kind of team-coordinative strategies is presented in this paper. The presented strategy possesses the property that transforms the one-leader multi-follower Stackelberag game problem into a implicit-function problem and a one-leader one-follower Stackelberg game problem. Then, with a general incentive strategy, the one-leader one-follower Stackelberg game problem can be solved. For a class of problems of Stackelberg game with two followers, the general conditions are proposed for the existence of the team-coordinative strategies.

A review is presented of the dynamic input-output model of macroeconomic systems. By using the input-output approach, a dynamic input-output model with two control variables is presented. With the appropriate performance objective (such as the consumption-tracking control criterion), a dynamic game model of the macroeconomic system is constructed. The Stackelberg strategy concept is introduced to the dynamic game. By using the standard variational techniques, the necessary conditions for the existence of the open-loop Stackelberg strategy is derived, and the open-loop Stackelberg strategy is given. In this paper, the problem of the robust stabilization for a class of uncertain large-scale systems with multiple time-varying delays is investigated. The uncertainties are nonlinear time-varying and do not require a matching condition. The memoryless state-feedback controller for the robust stabilization of the systems is proposed. Based on the Lyapunov method, a sufficient condition for the stability is derived in terms of a linear matrix inequality (LMI). A numerical example is given to illustrate the proposed method.

This paper investigates the problem of decentralized robust output tracking control for a class of large-scale uncertain systems. The uncertainties are time-varying and assumed to satisfy the matching conditions for each isolated subsystem.

In this paper, nonlinear similar large-scale composite systems, in which the unmatched uncertainties not only appear in the isolated subsystems but also appear in the interconnections, are discussed. A kind of nonlinear decentralized output feedback controllers easy to be designed for the systems are proposed, and the relations between the control gain, the uncertain bounds and stabilized domain are presented. Finally, numerical simulation shows that our result is effective.

This note focuses on nonlinear uncertain interconnected systems with similar structures, and addresses the following robust decentralized stabilizing problem: designing the decentralized static output feedback controller with similar structure such that the closed-loop system is asymptotically stable at its equilibrium point. It is shown that the similarity of interconnected systems can simplify the analysis and design of system.

Chaos synchronization and anti-synchronization of two chaotic systems with different structures are investigated. When the parameters are known in advance, the synchronization and anti-synchronization are realized by the active control. The method of designing controllers with active control is generalized. When the parameters are completely unknown, the adaptive controllers and the adaptive laws of parameters are given based on the Lyapunov stability theory and adaptive control method, which realizes adaptive synchronization and anti- synchronization of two different chaotic systems, and identifies the unknown parameters. The drive system and response system are interchanged during the controller designing. The relationship of the controllers and the adaptive laws before and after the interchangement are investigated. The numerical simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

In this paper, an approach to solve three-dimensional minimum-time variable-speed interception problem between a taotical missile and an aircraft is presented by using the manner of the instantaneous coplanar interception. The two-player zero-sum perfect information differential games in a certen fixed inclined plane is analysed at first. An approximate solution in feedback form is obtained by using the technique of forced singular perturbation (FSPT). If target deviates from this plane, the concept of instantaneous coplanar interception proposed in this paper will be used for three-dimensional minimum-time variable-speed interception problem. No matter target how to manoeuvre, the mission of three-dimensional minimum-time variable-speed interception can be approximated by a dynamic game in the instantaneous inclined interception plane. The illustrative example with the realistio aerodynamic and propulsion data shows the validity of this approach.

In this paper, the inventory management problem of coking coal is considered. Based on the monthly consumption and the inventory of coal in an enterprise, a management scheme is presented. The inventory management is treated as an optimal control problem of a discrete system. In addition, applying Kalman Filtering Theory, the state equation and the equation of output are formulated, and then the monthly receipts are estimated.
