Internet of things (IoT) application in e-health can play a vital role in countering rapidly spreading diseases that can effectively manage health emergency scenarios like pandemics. Efficient disease control also requires monitoring of Standard operating procedure (SOP) follow-up of the population in the disease-prone area with a cost-effective reporting and responding mechanism to register any violation. However, the IoT devices have limited resources and the application requires delay-sensitive data transmission. Named Data Networking (NDN) can significantly reduce content retrieval delays but inherits cache overflow and network congestion challenges. Therefore, we are motivated to present a novel smart COVID-19 pandemic-controlled eradication over NDN-IoT (SPICE-IT) mechanism. SPICE-IT introduces autonomous monitoring in indoor environments with efficient pull-based reporting mechanism that records violations at local servers and cloud server. Intelligent face mask detection and temperature monitoring mechanism examines every person. Cloud server controls the response action from the centre with an adaptive decision-making mechanism. Long short-term memory (LSTM) based caching mechanism reduces the cache overflow and overall network congestion problem.

Redundant deliberation is a cognitively demanding form of inertia in which a decision-maker fails to gain any additional advantage by thinking about a problem compared to the risk of failing to act and deal with the problem. It most commonly occurs where there is no standard operating procedure (to help provide guidance) or where experience is lacking. This article argues that training interventions, including ‘grim storytelling’, must focus on supporting decision-makers’ ability to imagine rare, high-impact events, and construct ‘least–worst’ scenarios to help them anticipate, prevent, mitigate, adapt to and recover from such threats.

In the operation of electrical components in the ship engineering laboratory of the Maritime University of AMNI Semarang, various kinds of protection are needed. Errors in installing and operating electrical equipment can reduce protection. This protection aims to improve the safety of electrical work in ship engineering laboratories. And in the application of electrical work safety, it is necessary to evaluate based on the 2000 Electrical Installation General Requirements standard (PUILL 2000). The purpose of this study was to evaluate the use of the laboratory of the Maritime University of AMNI Semarang in the aspect of work safety. Based on the results of the evaluation, the criteria for electrical work safety are determined, namely: protection for safety, protection from overvoltages and currents, protection from thermal effects, and protection from fault currents. After the evaluation was carried out, alternatives were found to improve electrical safety: standard operating procedure (SOP), an inspection of cable installations, checking MCB panels and switches. The criteria and alternatives obtained then processed using the software super decision ver.2.10.0 with the Analytical Network Process (ANP) method so that the priority results of electrical safety improvements in the ship engineering laboratory of AMNI Maritime University Semarang are: repair of SOP 63.7%, cable installation 25.8%, MCB panel, and 10.5% switch.

The delivery system for Base Transceiver System (BTS) to strengthen the telecommunication network throughout Indonesia maritime country is needed to speed up the process due to uneven distribution of sufficient telecommunications infrastructure. PT. Gunadhya Rajawali Logistik (GRL) is a third-party logistics company that focuses on transportation and warehouse management and delivery for telecommunication equipment tools. Unfortunately, in delivering BTS installation part throughout Indonesia, PT. GRL received several warning letters and had to pay a penalty from one of customers, for being late in reporting the delivery proof. This study aims to analyze the root causes of late submission of Soft Copy of Proof of Delivery (SCPOD) to avoid penalty given by the customer and determine suitable solutions to improve the process. The approach used in this study is lean six sigma with the help of Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control (DMAIC) roadmap. According to the interview with the employees related, the root causes of late submission of SCPOD are irresponsible drivers, indiscipline drivers in carrying out deliveries, and lack of data management in the transportation system. To be able to solve this problem, several proposed solutions can be applied. The proposed solutions to overcome the root causes that should be applied by the company are to hire a document control, retraining the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for drivers, utilize transportation management system application, and apply incentive systems for drivers. In the future, it is recommended for PT. GRL to have a minimum standard in recruiting the drivers for example only recruit who possess a minimum of high school education to ease the completion of administrative tasks.

Crime Scene Investigation is the backbone of any criminal investigation. Expert report generated by Crime Scene Investigators are based on scientific evidence and are reported in a standard form. The content, when published should be reviewed rigorously by its peers. The expert report is a document detailing out how the investigation process of a crime scene was performed. The process of collecting and evidence processing do not only entail identifying, collecting and storing evidences for later analysis but it is a step by step process that is well structured in a document called Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Crime Scene Investigator. SOP is a complex document and sometimes overwhelmingly technical for the uninitiated. But if understood, it can be a good guide for law practitioners to determine if a piece of evidence should be included in a case. This article details out the SOP which entails groundwork before entering a crime scene, processing of a crime scene and wrapping up of the crime scene investigation. At each step, this paper will look at how it is adopted in current practices, its weakness and suggested improvement that should be adopted to ensure a final quality expert report.

Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is a document related to procedures carried out chronologically to complete a job that aims to obtain the most effective work results from workers at the lowest possible cost. The SOP usually consists of the benefits, when it was created or revised, the method of writing procedures, and is complemented by a flowchart chart at the end.

The aim of the study was to determine the relevant aspects that need to be reflected in the standard operating room, which determines the procedure for teaching a patient with chronic heart failure to self-control. Results. It has been established that when preparing the training material, a nurse should pay special attention to the formation of the patient’s skill in a timely assessment of vital signs and self-control. Conclusion. Nursing organizers in their activities need to pay special attention to the formation of a bank of standard operating procedures governing the procedure for conducting the learning process, the level of quality in the provision of such an independent nursing intervention as patient education depends on this. In addition, on the one hand, it is a methodological document for a nurse, since it covers the main aspects of teaching a patient to self-control methods, and on the other hand, it is a teaching material for a patient, which he can independently use at home after discharge from the hospital.

In the current manufacturing world, the utilization of proper resource and making the process fool proofing plays a significant role. These challenges can be addressed with the aid of lean manufacturing tools and concepts. Lean manufacturing focuses on eliminating wastes in the entire manufacturing process. Eliminating waste along the whole value streams adds value to the process, product, and the whole supply chain. The project focuses on standardization and line balancing of the CNC machine cells. The foremost objective is met by implementing Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and Continuous Improvement (Kaizen approach) to standardize the process. Time study has been done using stopwatch and video-based study for identifying the critical time elements. As a result, cycle time has been abridged. However, the production line seems to be unbalanced. To overcome the issue, line balancing is done between operations, which enable the production line to meet takt time and enhance productivity.

Online medical teaching and learning during the COVID-19 pandemic are feasible yet challenging tasks to accomplish, especially when lecturers have clinical duties at the same time. Even though multiple gadgets can make it easier to reach students, an important challenge is that while doing ward work, clinical teachers may resort to using the same gadgets that they use for teaching purposes, which are their mobile phones. As the Technical Implementation Unit of the Directorate General of Capture Fisheries, PPN Pengambengan has one of the tasks in terms of security and safety of fishing vessels. In this case, the one who has the duty and authority is Syahbandar at the fishing port. The purpose of this research are to determine the SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) of the Kesyahbandaran section and conducted an analysis of improving the operational performance of the Kesyahbandaran in PPN Pengambengan. This research was conducted in March 2020, used the methods of qualitative and quantitative descriptive, and the data analysis used SWOT analysis. The results of this research were 16 main tasks and functions of the Kesyahbandaran on the operational, 11 are already running and 5 are not yet running. From the results of the SWOT analysis showed the strategy that can be applied in the Kesyahbandaran of PPN Pengambengan is a WO strategy that is to minimize weaknesses and take advantage of opportunities. The strategy includes the development of new land in the PPN Pengambengan, the procurement of watchtowers and the installation of CCTV in the port area, in collaboration with relevant agencies regarding to the operation and maintenance of ship docking, and dredging of the mooring pond.

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of SOP, reward system, training and work environment on employee work productivity at PT. BPR Willis Jember. The data used in this study are primary data obtained from respondents' responses to the questionnaire. Samples taken as many as 40 respondents with sampling techniques using probability sampling, namely by purposive sampling method. The data obtained is then processed using the SPSS analysis tool, this analysis includes validity test, reliability test, multiple linear regression analysis, classic assumption test, and statistical test through t test, F test and coefficient of determination (R2). The results of the study show that the factors of the application of SOP, reward systems, training and work environment simultaneously affect work productivity, whereas if partially the factors for the application of SOP and training have no significant effect on work productivity, but for reward system factors and work environments have a significant towards work productivity. Command Center 112 adalah inovasi pelayanan publik mengenai tanggap darurat bencana di Kota Surabaya. Inovasi ini merupakan sebuah layanan telepon laporan aduan keadaan darurat dari masyarakat yang bisa diakses 24 jam non-stop dan bebas pulsa. Layanan ini mengsinergikan dengan Organisasi Perangkat Daerah (OPD) dalam satu ruangan kendali (Command Center Room). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui bagaimana implementasi kebijakan Command Center 112 di Kota Surabaya. Teori standar implementasi yang digunakan adalah teori George C. Edward III dapat dijadikan acuan pengukuran keberhasilan atau kegagalan implementasi kebijakan antara lain (1) komunikasi, (2) sumber daya, (3) disposisi dan (4) struktur birokrasi menurut jurnal (Putra & Tukiman, 2019). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu, wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi sedangkan teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan model analisis interaktif yang dikembangkan oleh Miles dan Huberman meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, display data dan penarikan kesimpulan (Herdiansyah, 2010). Hasil dari penelitian ini berdasarkan teori George C. Edward III sebagai tolak ukur menunjukkan bahwa implementasi kebijakan Command Center 112 di Kota Surabaya sudah baik ditunjukkan oleh Pusat Komando Command Center 112 di Kota Surabaya diadakan di satu ruangan atau disebut Command Center Room, didalamnya terdapat berbagai lembaga atau OPD untuk menerima laporan masyarakat dan kondisi kota. Namun, masih terdapat masalah pada masyarakat yang seringkali menggunakan layanan telefon ini tidak sesuai dengan SOP (Standar Operasional Prosedur). Selain itu, diperlukan sosialisasi kembali agar masyarakat mengetahui dan paham kepada layanan ini.

This study aims to prepare SOP for organizational management at Bengkayang Regency Education Office. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with the following steps: (1) preliminary study, (2) planning, and (3) implementation. The subject of this research is Bengkayang Regency Education Office. The data collection techniques used were interviews and observation. The results of interviews and observations were analyzed by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results of the preliminary study show that the Bengkayang Regency Education Office does not yet have a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for organizational management. SOP preparation is carried out by making field notes on mentoring activities and compiling SOP formats. Meanwhile, the implementation of SOP preparation assistance is carried out in six stages, namely the preparation stage, the formation of an implementation team, planning, drafting, testing SOP drafts, and implementing SOP. SOP is needed to regulate quality assurance of organizational management.

Background There is limited evidence available identifying best practices to promote and sustain optimal outpatient-to-inpatient handoff processes to ensure safe and reliable continuity of care. Local problem A sentinel event occurred during the transition of care from the outpatient-to-inpatient setting. A root cause analysis revealed that the facility's standard operating procedure for patient handoffs was not consistently followed. Methods A Lean Six Sigma approach was used to improve patient transfer with the implementation of a Situation-Background-Assessment-Recommendation handoff policy. Inferential and statistical process control methods were used to assess performance outcomes pre- and postdissemination. Results Over 36 months there was a slow, steady decrease in patient transfer time including reduced variability. The most significant improvement effect occurred in the third year with a 50% reduction in transfer time. Conclusions Longitudinal monitoring provides the opportunity to accurately identify beneficial outcomes, which develop downstream from initial quality improvement efforts.

Pelayanan lalu lintas penerbangan yang aman dan lancar merupakan hak konsumen sebagai pengguna jasa, dimana kelancaran lalu lintas dipengaruhi oleh sumber daya manusia, prosedur pelayanan dan fasilitas yang digunakan dalam memberikan pelayanan lalu lintas penerbangan. Bandar Udara Internasional Hasanuddin Makassar mengalami pertumbuhan pergerakan pesawat yang cukup signifikan selama 5 tahun terakhir dengan menggunakan Multiplerunway. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui besarnya pengaruh multiplerunway 13/31 dan 03/21 terhadap efesiensi pemberian layanan Aerodrome Control Tower. Metode penelitian berupa analisis deskriptif kualitatif penggunaan runway 03/21 dan runway 13/31.konfigurasi runway 03/21 dan 13/31 berbentuk sudut yang tidak umum mewajibkan ATC mengikuti Multiple Runway Operation dan Standar Operasional Prosedure dalam menentukan runway –in use. Pemanfaatan multiplerunway, belum sepenuhnya optimal bagi ATC dalam memberikan instruksi pelayanan aerodrome control karena masih membutuhkan waktu masimal 6 - 8 menit proses departure dengan runway in use 03/21 sedangkan proses departure menggunakan runway in use 13/31 membutuhkan waktu maksimal 10 - 15 menit.

Implementation of information retrieval activities in a library is inseparable from the work role of the librarian, for that in a library there needs to be a written policy regarding standard operating procedures for preservation of collections in the library. This research traced information based on standard library procedures regarding collection development policies based on legal standards or preservation SOP policies, with qualitative research methods with the Snowball Sampling technique. The results of this study indicate that in the UST library has not implemented standard operating procedures in preservation collection activities, this is reflected in the process of preservation activities do not have a preservation SOP that is based on the legal basis for preservation of the collection as stated in the SOP document control contained in SOP No. 001.002 / ot 01 01 / isn 6, Law Number 13 of 2018 concerning transfer of printed and recorded works, Regulation of the Head of the National Library Number 16 of 2014 concerning procedures for storing and using special collections and SNI 7330: 2009 for Higher Education libraries .

Digital forensics evidence has been recognized in Syariah courts by virtue of several related sections under Syariah Court Evidence (Federal Territories) Act 1997 or others Syariah Courts Evidence Enactments. However, due of lack of challenges on digital evidence cases in Syariah courts, the potential problems or obstacles of digital forensics evidence are unknown among the judges, lawyers and parties involved. Among the potential problems of admissibility and relevancy of digital forensics evidence are collecting evidence illegally, modifying evidence after it is in possession, deleting and editing any digital evidence data from the tools. Meanwhile digital data also changes moment by moment and invisible to the human eye and digital technologies are always changing so that forensic process can seldom be fixed for very long. Therefore this article aims to examine the potential problems of digital forensics evidence in Syariah courts based on the qualitative approach of literature reviews on the relevant articles, books, statutes and cases. By having a standard operating procedure (SOP), qualified digital forensics experts and effective digital forensic tools and analysis, they can resolve the problems and subsequently results the authenticated digital forensics evidence.

Fraud is a primary source of organization losses, amounting to up to 5% of yearly revenues. Process-based fraud (PBF) is fraud involving a deviation from the standard operating procedure (SOP) of business processes. PBF hinders the achievement of business objectives because business processes operationalize organizational strategies. A systematic content analysis of the literature was conducted on fraud detection metrics in business processes. The current state of fraud detection was surveyed by focusing on PBF metrics while including all relevant conceptual perspectives of PBF detection. The findings indicate that a large body of research has examined detection metrics for possible fraud, but less attention has been paid to PBF. In addition, the currently available PBF detection metrics do not adequately address the needs of different conceptual perspectives on business processes. For example, metrics may be undefined for one or more of the following: components of a business process, business process perspectives, critical information for auditing the business process, and business process presentation layers. This paper addresses these gaps by paying attention to PBF and various conceptual perspectives for a successful PBF detection approach.

The purpose of the research is designing a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in a language centre of a Buddhist college. The SOP was designed as part of the restructuring process of the language centre, aimed at regaining the language centre’s function as a language centre, not language teaching centre as it had been happening. By employing three phases of Branch’s ADDIE (2009), Analyze, Design, and Develop, the study produced an SOP of the language centre’s program that was aimed at guiding the management team to design and implement the programs in language centre based on the three areas of language centre’s activity. The data was gathered through interview, document study, and observation. It then was analyzed through data condensation, data display, and drawing and verification conclusions (Miles, Huberman, & Saldaña, 2014). The SOP focused on three kinds of programs to accommodate the diverse and complex activities the LC should have tackled as a language centre.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to identify the non-value-adding activities (NVAs) of core making process and to eliminate them through the standardization-of-work (SW) procedures in a manufacturing company. Design/methodology/approach The action-research methodology was adopted for the current study. First, various lean tools were identified through literature review, and the bottleneck area was identified in discussion with the shop-floor executives. NVAs were recorded after a continuous process study including method study and motion analysis followed by the standard operating procedure. Second, the standardized work combination tables were prepared and NVAs were eliminated using the SW procedures. SW has been opted because it is a set of actions which helps in analyzing, improving and controlling the process and it leads to continual improvement. Findings The production logbook revealed that the capacity in this particular workstation was 54 pieces per 7 h work shift against the current production of approx. 45–50 pieces (past data). SW saved 31.6 s per cycle which boosted the production up to 58 pieces per 7 h work shift. Finally, the authors came to know that the productivity of this particular process increased up to 6.5 percent which may upsurge if this action is executed continually with the support from shop-floor executives and management. These results were also compared with previous research works in this area and found significant relevance, and hence, the results appear to be reliable. Research limitations/implications This is a unique study in itself which explores the lean model by assessing NVAs of core making process. The proposed approach needs to be tested across different other core making processes of the case company so as to generalize the effectiveness of SW as well as the results obtained in the current study. Practical implications The current study illustrates an important step to give more visibility to the lean concept by addressing the problem of lack of standard procedures. This study will help the shop-floor executives and managers to focus their efforts in achieving high performance through effective implementation of SW. The study should be of the interest of researchers in the area of lean manufacturing, operations management, productivity analysis, etc. Originality/value The findings of this study are based on the problem formulation for productivity gains using SW procedures in the case company. The study introduces a new perspective for the execution of SW for core making processes. SW created transparency in workflow, enhanced the safety and eliminated the 3Ms. The outcome of the current study was discussed with the production team and management of the company to validate the productivity gains and received an optimistic response. Most importantly, these improvements were achieved with no investment in machinery or tooling.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to redesign the layout of production floor by considering lean manufacturing in order to eliminate the waste and using Block Layout Overview with Layout Planning (BLOCPLAN) algorithm to attain new layout of facilities in Indonesian home-food industry. Design/methodology/approach The common problems that might be appearing in home-food industry, especially in the developing countries like Indonesia are unstandardized production process and unorganized work environment which could produce the waste. One of many solutions to handle this problem is improving the work area (work station) in production floor by rearranging and designing standard operating procedure (SOP) by using lean manufacturing concept. The initial data to minimize the waste is motion time study (data) to identify production standard time. The next step is identifying the common waste(s). Meanwhile, the production floor layout used in this research is designed by using BLOCPLAN algorithm. Findings The recommendation of shop floor facility layout is based on identified waste, which is excess transportation. Subsequently, standard operational procedure (SOP) is developed to support the recommended facility layout as the reference for cookie production process so it can minimize the waste. Research limitations/implications Lean concept is one of method that is widely implemented to reduce the occurrence of defective products and waste that do not provide added value. Based on previous researches, it was found that the concept of lean manufacturing can be applied in various types of service and manufacturing industries, both large companies and small and medium enterprises. Home-food industry competition nowadays is getting intense. This condition makes the stakeholders (of home-food industry, especially in Indonesia) need high performance and productivity to keep their business stable in winning the competition. The new layout can reduce the disadvantages of actual condition. Practical implications This research is useful for small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Indonesia especially for home-food industry. The BLOCPLAN layout (as the recommendation) has displacement moment with reduction of 40 percent. Social implications This research believed that it can help SMEs improve their productivity in producing cake and cookies in terms of better layout which can reduce worker movement and standardized working procedure. The design of the production facility layout is a method used to rearrange the production process area so that the distance between processes can be minimized. SOPs was provided as the direction and supervision of workers to work according to standards. Originality/value SOP design can support recommended layout as the reference on making the cake (product) to eliminate wastes, which are motion/movement (alternating in production process flow) and long waiting time due to process delays.

Background: Standard operating procedure (SOP) is a series of business activities to achieve organisational goals, with each activity carried to be recorded and stored in the information system together with its location (e.g., SCM, ERP, LMS, CRM). The activity is known as event data and is stored in a database known as an event log. Objective: Based on the event log, we can calculate the fitness to determine whether the business process SOP is following the actual business process. Methods: This study obtains the event log from a terminal operating system (TOS), which records the dwelling time at the container port. The conformance checking using token-based replay method calculates fitness by comparing the event log with the process model. Results: The findings using the Alpha algorithm resulted in the most traversed traces (a, b, n, o, p). The fitness calculation returns 1.0 were produced, missing, and remaining tokens are replied to each of the other traces. Conclusion: Thus, if the process mining produces a fitness of more than 0.80, this shows that the process model is following the actual business process. The first European Stroke Organization (ESO) standard operating procedure (SOP) published in 2015 aimed at the implementation the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development, and Evaluation (GRADE) methodology to provide evidence-based guidelines for stroke management. This second ESO-SOP is aiming at further increase of the practicability of ESO guidelines and its technical implications. Authors comprised of the members of the ESO guideline Board and ESO Executive Committee. The final document was agreed on by several internal reviews. The second SOP comprises of the following aspects: rational for the SOP, the introduction of expert consensus statements, types of guideline documents, structures involved and detailed description of the guideline preparation process, handling of financial and intellectual conflicts of interest (CoI), involvement of ESO members in the guideline process, review process, authorship and publication policy, updating of guidelines, cooperation with other societies, and dealing with falsified data. This second SOP supersedes the first SOP published in 2015.

This paper aims to provide a solution to ease people in the retail industry to comply with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) by implementing Smart Counter in their premises. This system comprises two (2) Infrared (IR) sensors that are connected to Arduino UNO for entrance detection. It will capture the total number of customers or shoppers in and out of the premises. A Digital non-contact Infrared temperature sensor (MLX90614) and APDS-9960 digital RGB, ambient light, gesture, and proximity sensor are also connected to Arduino UNO to capture the temperature of passes customers and at the same time trigger the alarm if they failed to do the temperature screening. These temperature data then are transferred to the ESP8266 server through serial communication and conveyed them to the client at the entrance counter for the owner to monitor the temperature data of each customer entering the premises. If the temperature exceeds 37.5 °C, the alarm will be triggered and preventing the customer from entering the premises. This system has demonstrated that it indeed can help ease the process of complying with the SOP.

The outbreak of the coronavirus, COVID-19, has been officially declared a pandemic by the WHO since the beginning of 2020, as there are 175 million confirmed cases along with 3.78 million deaths globally as of April 2021. Because physical contact that occurs daily critically accelerates the spread of this disease, a new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) was specially designed to control civilians’ outdoor social activities through large-scale social distancing methods. Individuals who violate the order will be fined with a compound of not more than RM 1,000 or a jail term of not more than six months or both. This paper presents a mobile application which aims to help civilians control their physical distance towards other individuals, to accelerate social distancing and flatten the curve of increasing cases. In this era where smart devices are largely accessible by people of all backgrounds and age groups, this project can make use of the modern technology that found in the smartphones to notify users and also enable them to monitor the other individuals to avoid physical contact from each other. This project also provides two different types of mediums in order to monitor the distances of users, first mediums is by utilizing the Bluetooth sensor as a beacon that allows users to know if there are other Bluetooth-enabled devices which are too close in contact. Another medium is visually enabling the users to monitor their distance in the physical location based on the camera module through the Augmented Reality. This paper is also analyses some of the methods used in previous projects in the field of information technology which were used to monitor and detect civilians’ social distancing patterns.

Recent advancements in unmanned aerial systems and GPS technology, allowing for centimeter precision without ground-based surveys, have been groundbreaking for applications in the field of forestry. As this technology becomes integrated into forest management approaches, it is important to consider the implementation of proper safety and data collection strategies. The creation of such documentation is beneficial, because it allows for those aspiring to create a UAS program to learn from others’ experiences, without bearing the consequences of past blunders associated with the development of these practices. When establishing a UAS program, it is pertinent to deeply research the necessary equipment, create documentation that establishes operational norms, and develop standards for in-field operations. Regarding multispectral vs. RGB sensor payloads, the sensor selection should be based upon what type of information is desired from the imagery acquired. It is also important to consider the methods for obtaining the most precise geolocation linked to the aerial imagery collected by the sensor. While selecting the proper UAS platform and sensor are key to establishing a UAS operation, other logistical strategies, such as flight crew training and operational planning, are equally important. Following the acquisition of proper equipment, further preparations must be made in order to ensure safe and efficient operations. The creation of crew resource management and safety management system documentation is an integral part of any successful UAS program. Standard operating procedure documents for individual tasks and undertakings are also a necessity. Standardized practices for the scheduling, communication, and management of the UAS fleet must also be formulated. Once field operations are set in motion, the continuous improvement of the documentation and best practices is paramount.

Industrial workers are vulnerable to hazard and accidents. There could be many factors that contribute for these to occur including human error. Standard operating procedure and safety guideline have been set up to be followed by the workers with manual supervision where total adherence is required in a wide range of operation and hence, often lead to inefficiency. Thus, this work has proposed a preliminary work on safety monitoring within the potentially danger area to make the process to be efficient and reduce the manual supervision burden via deep learning. This work has adopted YOLO network for feature extraction and human detection in several monitoring areas. Then, counting module is executed to retrieve the data of how frequent the monitoring area is being interrupted. Prior to that, a region of interest (ROI) would be set up where human is detected only in the ROI. Lastly, measure the area of intersection between human and ROI to decide whether the subject is in the monitoring area or vice versa. The number of counts indicates the risk of accidents occur in the monitoring area. The higher the counts, the higher the risk in that region. This conceptual design can be extensively used in many ways for safety monitoring as it requires less supervision and becomes a safety measure by enforcing industrial safety in manufacturing sites.

There is an increasing need to establish quality principles for designing, developing and manufacturing challenge agents as currently these agents are classified differently by various jurisdictions. Indeed, considerations for challenge agent manufacturing vary between countries due to differences in regulatory oversight, the categorization of the challenge agent and incorporation into medicinal/vaccine development processes. To this end, a whitepaper on the guidance has been produced and disseminated for consultation to researchers, regulatory experts and regulatory or advisory bodies. This document is intended to discuss fundamental principles of selection, characterization, manufacture, quality control and storage of challenge agents for international reference. In the development phase, CMC documentation is needed for a candidate challenge agent, while standard operating procedure documentation is needed to monitor and control the manufacturing process, followed by use of qualified methods to test critical steps in the manufacturing process, or the final product itself. These activities are complementary: GMP rules, which intervene only at the time of the routine manufacturing of batches, do not contribute to the proper development and qualification of the candidate product. Some considerations regarding suitability of premises for challenge manufacturing was discussed in the presentation dedicated to “routine manufacturing”.

Interventions that aim to help farmers change on-farm practices recommend that advisors communicate effectively with farmers, work collaboratively to set goals and provide farmers with resources that are applicable to the farm context. We developed an intervention that aimed to help farmers modify and use a standard operating procedure (SOP) for colostrum management; failure of passive transfer of immunoglobulins is common on dairy farms and SOPs for colostrum management are increasingly required by farm animal welfare assurance programs. We used Realistic Evaluation to evaluate whether, how and why our intervention to help farmers modify and use SOPs for colostrum management facilitated change and provide recommendations based on our approach that can improve the design and implementation of future interventions. We used a multiple case study on five farms over 8 months, collecting data through interviews, participant observation, document analysis and field notes. We identified three mechanisms that influenced whether participants modified and used their SOP. The purpose mechanism distinguished between participants who thought the aim of the SOP was for farm staff to learn and understand how to complete a task versus those who thought that the SOP was only useful for compliance with assurance programs. The utility mechanism distinguished between participants who thought that the SOP would be helpful for daily use on their farm, versus those who did not. The physical text mechanism distinguished between participants who used the templates we provided to modify and use their SOP, versus those who did not. A key contextual factor on all farms was participant belief of having capable and engaged staff on their farm; modification and use of the SOP did not occur unless this was the case. To facilitate change, intervention developers should actively participate in the intervention to develop an understanding of farmer needs, understand the purpose behind different goals set by farmers and integrate tools, advice and resource demonstrations when possible. We conclude that Realistic Evaluation is a useful framework for evaluating how contexts and mechanisms generate outcomes on farms, and to understand how, and in which contexts, complex interventions facilitate change. We suggest that this approach can improve the success of interventions and help direct the approaches used on different farms.

This is due to the availability of commercial instruments, and thus the production and spread of an accepted and widely followed SOP is felt by most users, in an effort to produce results that are scientifically correct and comparable. Therefore, within the efforts of Working Group 4 of the ARBRE-MOBIEU COST Action (CA15126), this ITC SOP was generated, alongside SOPs for several other biophysical techniques. Generating process models that reflect close behavioral resemblance to the actual process Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in process mining can be challenging without taking the four quality criteria of process discovery into account. The four quality criteria, i.e. fitness, precision, generalization, and simplicity, should be well balanced in order to produce proper process models which are aligned to the real-life executions. This paper proposes a method to optimize process discovery quality criteria (PDQC) by implementing different thresholds and analyzing calculation results using Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curve and Infrequent Inductive Miner algorithm. This paper sets up two experiments with different scenarios to measure the calculations of quality criteria and the quality of generated models. The experiments compare two SOPs to the process models discovered by Infrequent Inductive Miner algorithm; hence the SOPs serve as references to determine the generated models quality. The purpose of applying two different scenarios in the experiments is to discover how well the Infrequent Inductive Miner thresholds can produce predictive models under these two different scenarios circumstances. This paper has been successful in predicting the best-fit model in reference to the SOPs by optimizing the four quality criteria of process discovery using ROC thresholds settings and by using infrequent inductive miner algorithm for models generation, and also in improving the accuracy of models measurements. The accuracy rate of the prediction model from Experiment 1 is 83%, while Experiment 2 yields an accuracy rate of 88%. The most optimal threshold settings to generate the best model in this paper are threshold 0.4 in Experiment 1 and threshold 0.5 in Experiment 2.

Access to a hospital and continuity of services are very important for the continuity of the hospital so that people who need health services are interested in visiting the hospital and utilizing the health services. The aims of the research are to find out the implementation of access to the hospital and continuity of service at X Hospital. The design of the research was descriptive qualitative research with observation and interview to collect the data. In observation, the subjects are 180 patients registered. In the interview, step is human resources who concerned on hospital access and continuity of service. Data analysis used interviews coding and calculated the observation result. Results and discussion are Observations on the implementation of a standard operating procedure for hospital access and continuity of services have been carried out in excess of 80%, but there are obstacles in the implementation, one of which is not all clinical staffs know the step in standard operational procedure. The conclusion is Clinical staff has implemented the standard operational procedure of Hospital access and service continuity exceeds 80%.

Introduction: Keeping a contamination free environment in the laboratory has commonly been achieved by one of two ways: a flame or a biosafety cabinet (BSC). However, it has been frequently observed that these two practices have been combined, where a heat source has been used within the BSC. As flames require flammable gasses and cause hot air to rise, it was hypothesized that these could lead to a loss of BSC containment, as BSCs rely on unidirectional downflow air. Objectives: The objective of this study was to determine whether BSCs can maintain containment when a heat source is operated within the work area. Methods: Several heat sources (Bunsen burner, High Heat Bunsen Burner, Spirit Lamp and Bacti-cinerator) were placed within two sizes of BSCs (4-foot and 6-foot), and smoke was used to visualize airflow disturbances, air cleanliness was measured by particle counting , and aerosol microbiological testing was conducted to ascertain containment. The risk of introducing a flammable gas into a BSC was also calculated. Results: Large flamed Bunsen burners were found to have the most detrimental effects on the ability of the BSC to maintain containment, especially in the center of the work area, while the smaller heat sources were more variable. Containment was completely lost in the 4-foot BSC, whereas the 6-foot BSC was capable of maintaining containment in only a few conditions. The BSC was also calculated to be able to maintain the required volume of flammable gas needed to operate the burners, not taking into consideration unintended leaks. Conclusions: Overall, it was determined that BSCs cannot operate safely and reliably while housing a heat source, as it could cause unexpected contamination of the work or the worker, or BSC ignition or explosion.

As the majority of dwellings now maintain some form of Internet connectivity, the examination of routers at crime scenes is an increasing requirement. Due to cost and resourcing constraints, police forces are looking to transfer responsibility for carrying out this task to front line crime scene investigators, despite such staff typically lacking specialist training for this type of examination. Such strategies are potentially high-risk, as the mishandling of home routers can result in the oversight or destruction of potentially evidential information denoting home network usage, configuration and connected devices. This information can support scene examiners with their searching practices, ensuring all connected devices within the vicinity of a scene are accounted for or seized, whilst also supporting further technical investigations. This work documents the forensic examination of Sky, BT, Virgin, EE and TalkTalk routers and analysis of relevant evidence content including records of attached and currently connected devices, and, network configuration settings. A standard operating procedures has been developed and offered, to support crime scene investigation staff carry out router investigations.

Almost no project can be delivered smoothly without facing some obstacles and issues during its lifecycle from concept till closure. This inevitable topic of “project issue management” did not attain the appropriate attention either in the literature or in the project management standards or implementation practices. This paper explores the current awareness status and level of implementation of the topic within the project management environment. The conducted survey revealed that this topic is immature and needs to be fostered through awareness, training, institutionalizing, automation and finally standardization. Within this context, a process flow is suggested to be a standard operating procedure to deal with issues during projects implementation. This flow is then verified and validated. To reinforce the topic, an index was newly developed and validated to show the status of issues within projects with the aim of inclusion of this index within the overall project health indicator. Finally, new knowledge area was suggested in a similar way of the American international standard of project management (PMBOK) as an initial trial for the PMBOK update process every four years. The local and international impact of having such a topic “project issue management” within projects was discussed showing some areas for implementation. The current study applied productivity improvement tools, e.g., hierarchical task analysis, standard operating procedure (SOP), checklist, and plant layout analysis in two sheltered workshops for the disabled to facilitate the sustainable operation of the workshops. The study was conducted in two sheltered workshops where intellectually disabled workers were trained and employed to perform cleaning tasks as janitors while psychiatrically disabled workers were trained to assemble a stationery box. On-site job analysis was conducted to find feasible workplace accommodations for both workshops. The preliminary on-site job analysis indicated the need of a standard operating procedure for the cleaning tasks in the first sheltered workshop. Therefore, SOPs were developed based on hierarchical task analysis and will be presented in a checklist format for the training and payment of the disabled. In the second sheltered workshop, flow diagram analysis of the initial assembly layout revealed excessive moving and backtrackings of material handling. Thus, a revised layout is proposed to remove all of the inefficiencies. Relevance to industry The current study demonstrates feasible applications of several productivity improvement tools in two sheltered workshops for disabled workers in order to enhance sustainability.
