In most sports today, the decisions taken by referees are supported by the use of electronic technology. The detection and monitoring system of the woodball lines serves the same function, helping the referee to take decisions and modernise woodball sports. The modern sport of wood balls depends entirely on out decisions. The line detection technology helps inform the judge whether the ball is OB (out of Bounds), while the monitoring system notifies players, judges, and the crowd whether or not the gating is effective. But the referee's manual assistance is always necessary to start the game after a good gating, since the player cannot touch the wood ball the whole time. Finally, the percentage of precision and error was achieved.

Various optical communication technologies use Optical-Code Division Multiple Access (Optical-CDMA) as a channel access technique, which allows transmission of different users simultaneously over the optical communication channel. Therefore, Optical-CDMA permits free undue interference transmission of several users. Whereas Wavelength-division multiple access (WDMA) is a technique that can be implemented on how the optical channel can be divided into subchannels. This paper proposes a Hybrid WDMA-Optical-CDMA over multi-mode fiber (MMF) transmission system for short haul-local area network. The WDMA system is carried out by using four Laguerre-Gaussian (LG) modes that operate over four main wavelengths (1551 nm, 1550 nm, 1549 nm and 1548 nm). Additionally, the Optical-CDMA system is carried out by using one dimension Zero Cross-Correlation (ZCC) code to overcome multiple access interference (MAI) between the four ZCC codes. The performance of our system is evaluated based on eye diagrams, Q-Factor and bit-error rates (BER) measurements.

This study demonstrates the implementation of multi-input-multi-output (MIMO) transmission donut modes in space wavelength division multiplexing (SWDM) over multi-mode optical fiber (MMOF) and simulating the effect of mode coupling of the transmitted signal. However, during the data transmitted over MMF by using SWDM an issue is encountered, which is the inter symbol interference (ISI) due to mode coupling. ISI has been recognized as a major obstacle to high-speed data transmission. The signal processing in SDM of donut modes over MMOF with electrical feedback equalizer is used to improve the performance for increasing the bandwidth. A data rate 80 Gbit/s up for a distance of 1600 meters is achieved. SWDM topology was designed emitted from a spatial vertical cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL) through MMOF in conjunction with the configurations of electrical feedback equalizer. The parameters and values used in Opt-Sim simulation topology were listed. The performance measurement of this study based on bit-error rates (BER) and eye diagram before and after electrical feedback equalization were analysed.

The optical vortex has recently attracted scholars to implement it in optical tweezers, microscopy, optical communications, quantum information processing, optical trapping, and laser machining. Optical vortex beam applied classically that can be transferred to the transverse amplitude of a heralded single-photon, and optical vortex possesses a helical wavefront and carries orbital angular momentum. In this study, Optical vortex is applied in optical-CDMA (optical code-division multiple-access) in conjunction with WDM (wavelength division multiplexing). This mechanism aims to increase the capacity and security in optical communication significantly. The implementation of Laguerre-Gaussian (LG) modes with optical vortex based on one dimension zero cross-correlation (ZCC) code shows that mode coupling reduces effectively. Consequently, a positive increase in channel performance and response. Accordingly, the LG modes based on the 1D-ZCC code are investigated and propagated over multi-mode fiber (MMF) based on an optical vortex, which also substantially reduces channel effects. Consequently, all these attributes combined will result in a hybrid WDM-Optical-CDMA with an optical vortex system over MMF.

Arm rehabilitation activities need to be monitored continuously in terms of analysis by experts within sufficient information to discover arm dysfunction and disorders such as stroke early. Although there are numerous previous researches about the home-based rehabilitation procedures and arm performance, some drawbacks still exist. For example, current rehabilitation devices are too complicated and required supervision by qualified therapists rather than their high prices. Moreover, data from these devices take much time to be sent to doctors for monitoring purpose. Therefore, this paper proposes a home-based online multisensory arm rehabilitation monitoring system. This system is designed through three main stages which are data acquisition, data processing, and data logging respectively. Data acquisition is by three different types of sensors; flex sensor (for arm’s bending), force-sensitive resistors (for hand fingers’ forces) and accelerometer (for arm movement directions). In data processing, Arduino Mega Controller and ESP Wi-Fi shield are used to design Internet of Things (IoT) web-based system (ThingSpeak) for data logging that allows doctors to diagnose stroke recovery and give feedbacks for patients. Overall, this project showed a robust system for arm rehabilitation using portable, user-friendly, and low power consumption devices at a low cost.

Image filtering is one of the methods used in image processing. It is also can be called as image enhancement. Filter help the problems of the image display and can improvise the quality of the image. The problems that always happened in the image is illumination, noise and under-light images. In addition, these problems also caused a few troubles for image recognition for the daily life of certain people for their work. The purpose of this study is to apply the mathematical algorithm of the filters, identifying the best method of the filters and simulate the result of the image quality assessments in Graphical User Interface (GUI) and Global System for Mobile Notification (GSM). Basically, image processing methods have specific mathematical algorithms. That is the main difference between these methods. For this paper, two types of image have been chosen which is document image and medical image. There were a few methods that were selected in this project. It is a high pass filter, low pass filter, and high boost filter. Thus, homomorphic filtering was applied to that filter. Then, the enhanced images would be simulated to the selected parameters of image quality assessments (IQA). The selected parameter of the image quality assessment is a global contrast factor (GCF) and signal to noise ratio (SNR). If the value of the parameters satisfies its characteristic, the method would be selected as the most suitable method for the image. Meanwhile, the best result will be selected as the best image for this study.

The principle of development is the occurrence of changes that involve the functioning of the nervous system and muscles as well as the change itself concerning the quality of motion that can be measured by tests of motor skills. Changes of the quality in motor movement among children is determined by the factor of teachers/counsellors, infrastructure facilities, and the existence of environmental factors. In measuring successful motor development among preschool children, this paper proposes the Motor Development Index (MDI) to be used as one of the parameter indicator. MDI is a composite index that includes (1) child enrolment rate (2) availability of public service venues (3) gross and fine motor skills (4) availability of builders/instructors as well as (5) sources of financing. The results showed that MDI in motor development among preschool children is still very low, with the value of only 0.387. However, the proposed MDI measurement is better than Sports Development Index (SDI) of value 0.345. In the future, the MDI measure is proposed to be parameters of motor development success among preschool children as MDI components allows presenting a more comprehensive measure.

In this paper, the MIMO antenna design for LTE Advance Application is realized. The paper focused on designing high gain MIMO antenna for LTE Advance Application. The purpose of designing a MIMO antenna is to fix the problem of low/moderate gain of SISO antenna since to have higher gain in LTE Advance normally is by having array antenna which lead to larger antenna and higher cost and mutual coupling between MIMO before can cause loss of spectral efficiency and degrade performance of a MIMO system. The designed antenna used FR-4 board as the substrate material due to its good parameters for most application. It is also more available and much cheaper than any other PCB material. Meanwhile, copper has been chosen as conductive material which copper is high relative and also cheap. For the designing stage, Advance Design System (ADS) software has been used to design the antenna. The ADS software also has been used for the simulation of the designed antenna in terms of return loss (S11) and (S22), mutual coupling (S12) and (S21), gain, directivity, radiation pattern, power radiated and also impedance matching. For the measurement stage, the fabricated antenna has been using by Vector Network Analyzer (VNA). From this project, it can be seen that the measurement results were slightly different from the simulation results due to a few factors such as cable losses, and also soldering technique. However, the designed antenna still met the requirement of efficiency which is less than -10 dB of return loss and get at a frequency of 2.5 GHz.

The nucleus of the normal cell is in a smaller size compared to the abnormal nucleus. The abnormal nucleus has a bigger size, which sometimes, the size cannot be identified accurately by seeing with bare eyes to classify the stages of cervical cancer. This is because every doctor has different perspectives to observe the classification of the stages of cancer by observing the nucleus without accurate dimensionality reduction in the accuracy of the classifier. Recently, many researchers proposed a method to detect and classify the Pap smear cell images for cervical cancer diagnosis. This approach may improve the accuracy of the detection and the classification which to show better performance with the balance data and samples precisely. Some of the patients got the result that they are on stage 2, however after re-testing, they actually on stage 4 which the chance to heal is very low. This happens because the doctor can’t find the accurate balance data and sample precisely. In this paper, a comprehensive review of cervical detection based on segmentation nucleus and classification was studied.

A brain tumor is defined as a mass of tissue formed by an accumulation of abnormal cells within the brain. This paper proposes a high gain ultra-wideband (UWB) reflector array antenna for cancer detection. Introduction of the copper reflector with ideal distance contribute to increasing the proposed antenna gain. The antenna is printed with 4×1 copper radiating patch array properly connected with quarter wave transformer transmission line associated with a copper parasitic element for the front side. The patches comprise of four identical circulars with a diameter of 15 mm. Parasitic element is placed on very close to feeding line with the gap only 0.2 mm. Each quarter wave transmission line has its own specific wide dimension for 50Ω, 70.71Ω and 100Ω to ensure equal current distribution towards all four patches could be realized. Quarter-wave transformers of 70.71 Ω are used to have an ideal match between the 100 Ω lines and the 50 Ω lines. The high gain antenna is essential in a human microwave detection system for penetrating the multilayer structures by enhancing the focus of the electromagnetic energy into the desired structure. The antenna with reflector recorded wider bandwidth; 1.6 GHz-10.8 GHz associated with higher gain ranged from 3.2 dB until 14.1 dB compared with an antenna without reflector operated from 2.2 GHz to 10.8 GHz with lower gain ranges of 2.1 dB to 10.2 dB.

Space division multiplexing, in conjunction with wavelength division multiplexing, is a powerful mechanism that increases spatial channels significantly in a single optical fiber. Spiral Phased-Laguerre-Gaussian (SP-LG) modes indicate that they effectively reduce mode coupling, thereby increasing the channel response and performance positively. However, mode-coupling influence optical fiber system leads to inter-symbol interference (ISI) between the channels and reduces both capacity and distance. In this paper, we apply the SP-LG modes in a space wavelength division multiplexing over a few-mode fiber system. The results demonstrate significant improvements in reducing channels effects and ISI. The performance evaluations are based on the bit-error-rate (BER), eye diagram and spectrum analyzer.

Sujud (prostration) is one of the main pillars of a Muslim’s prayer. It involves seven limbs as derived from the sayings or the acts of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) or the hadiths. However, the correct way in pertaining to sujud has received different opinions from Muslim scholars. The differences are based on the hadiths and there are two different ways of acts interpreted by Muslim scholars which are: preceding by hands or preceding by knees. Thus, this study investigated the differences in terms of statistical analysis using electromyography signals (EMG) of the lower limbs muscles, specifically the Gastrocnemius and Tibialis Anterior Muscles. Here, it was shown that there was no significant difference between the muscles on these postures of solat, although there are different opinions on the way of pertaining to sujud based on the authenticity of the hadiths and also their interpretation by the scholars.

A low-profile and robust inversely E-shaped antenna (IESA) combined with electromagnetic band-gap (EBG) is introduced for wearable medical application at 2.4 GHz. It has an overall size of 46×46×2.4 mm3. The EBG presented in this research is to isolate the antenna from the body. Thus, the performance of the antenna is not affected by the body. Contrarily, it reveals better performance compared to antenna in free space. The numerical and experiment results show that the integrated design shows good performance under bending and loading the human body. Moreover, the gain and the bandwidth were improved by 7.8 dBi and 27%, respectively. In addition, the SAR values were complied with standard. The reduction is more than 90.
