Supercapacitors (SCs), a type of energy storage devices, have dragged an attention worldwide due to its high electrochemical performance for various applications. However, the use of liquid electrolyte in SCs spresents several drawbacks on packaging and security. Therefore, the preparation of SCs using solid electrolytes is a feasible method. Here, we report an ionogel electrolyte (PAAm/IL-X) which composed of polyacrylamide (PAAm) network and ionic liquid 1-vinyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide ([VMIM][TFSI]). The introduction of ionic liquid ([VMIM][TFSI]) improves the thermal stability and conductivity of the electrolyte. The conductivity of the prepared ionogel is up to 23 mS cm−1 at 90 °C, which still retained 71% even after 20 days at room temperature. It is noted that the thermal decomposition temperature of PAAm/IL-X was above 220 °C. In addition, the poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene/carbon cloth (PEDOT/CC) electrode prepared by electroplating method exhibits excellent electrochemical performance. The specific capacitance can reach 157.8 F g−1, and the capacitance retention rate is 93% after 3000 GCD. All-solid-state supercapacitor (ASSC-X) is assembled using PAAm/IL-X electrolyte and PEDOT/CC electrodes. The energy density of ASSC-X can reach 14.22 Wh kg−1 satisfying the require of energy density for commercial devices. Interestingly, its capacitance performance of the device ASSC-X was increased by 5% at 90 °C. • We synthesized a composite electrolyte by filling LLZO@ZiF-67 into PEO based polymer matrix via in-situ synthesis and solution casting methods. • The introduction of LLZO@ZiF-67 decreases the crystallinity of PEO and it′s larger specific surface provides a continuous lithium ion transmission channel. • The ionic conductivity of composite electrolyte PLZ-20 reaches 1. 09 × 1 0 − 4 S cm−1 at room temperature. Furthermore, the initial discharge capacity of the Li / PLZ-20 / LFP full battery reach up to 152.4 mA h g−1. The capacity remain 91.45% after 100 cycles, which provides the possibility for the development of high performance all solid state battery. PEO based solid electrolyte has high crystallinity, which seriously hinder the transport of lithium ions at room temperature, resulting in low ionic conductivity. In this paper, a high performance composite solid electrolyte membrane with LLZO@ZiF-67 as an inorganic filler and PEO as matrix was synthesized. The LLZO@ZiF-67 inorganic filler, which covered by in-situ synthesis of ZiF-67 layer on surface of LLZO, show a large specific surface area and a polyhedral structure. The introduction of LLZO@ZiF-67 effectively reduce the crystallinity of PEO, providing a continuous channel for the transport of lithium ions, which result in a ionic conductivity as high as 1. 09 × 1 0 − 4 S cm−1 at room temperature of the composite electrolyte PLZ-20. Furthermore, the electrochemical stability and interface compatibility to lithium metal are improved. The lithium stripping/plating process at 0.1 mA cm−2 can maintain stable for more than 600 h without short circuit. In addition, the initial discharge capacity of the full battery (Li / PLZ-20 / LFP) can reach up to 141.1 mA h g−1 with retention of 91.45% after 100 cycles, which provide possibility for the application of high performance solid state battery.
