The article reports on a program launched by Fiat Brazil in August 2009 which asked customers to submit ideas on a blog or via Twitter that will be used to design the concept car dubbed Fiat Mio in 2010. According to the company's marketing director in Brazil, João Batista Ciaco, the program is a way to understand the relationship between the consumer and the product. The company has introduced a consumer-driven concept car in 2006 to celebrate its 30th anniversary in Brazil. The company also clarified that the Mio is not a marketing campaign.
