Widely linear beamforming is known to outperform the conventional adaptive beamforming by fully employing the non-circularity of non-circular signals. In this paper, a robust widely linear beamformer (WLB) is proposed to achieve satisfactory output and robustness in low computational complexity. The augmented signal-of-interest (SOI) covariance matrix is built by performing integration over SOI angular sector. The principal eigenvector of the augmented SOI covariance matrix is taken as the SOI extended steering vector. The received signal vector is projected into the interference-plus-noise subspace to remove the SOI component and derive the augmented interference covariance matrix. The augmented noise covariance matrix is added to the derived augmented interference covariance matrix so that the augmented interference-plus-noise covariance matrix can be reconstructed. The proposed WLB possesses lower computational complexity than the state-of-the-art WLBs due to the avoidance of convex optimization programming. The performance of traditional reconstruction-based robust adaptive beamformers may degrade when the array is not well calibrated. This performance degradation is mainly caused by the Capon spectrum estimator which can not estimate the spatial power spectrum accurately. In contrast to existing approaches, we propose two new reconstruction-based robust adaptive beamformers by using the accurate iterative adaptive approach (IAA) spectrum to combat the covariance matrix uncertainties and the steering vector mismatches. The first one employs the low-complexity IAA (IAA-LC) algorithm to obtain the interference power estimates and reconstruct the interference-plus-noise covariance matrix (INCM) with the computational complexity further reduced. The second one reconstructs the INCM by updating the power estimates corresponding to each interference steering vector with the use of knowledge-aided IAA (IAA-KA) algorithm. The desired signal steering vector is corrected by searching for the direction corresponding to the maximum power, which circumvents the use of optimization program. The performance of adaptive beamformers is susceptible to the steering vector mismatches and covariance matrix uncertainties. In contrast to traditional subspace methods, the proposed subspace method is robust against model mismatches. The signal-plus-interference covariance matrix (SICM) is reconstructed by projecting the enhanced covariance matrix onto the signal-plus-interference subspace which is formed using the property of covariance matrix. The array steering vector is adjusted by projecting the presumed steering vector onto the signal subspace which is structured using the major eigenvectors of the enhanced covariance matrix. The major eigenvectors are selected when the correlation coefficient between the presumed steering vector and the eigenvector exceeds a certain threshold. By combining the reconstructed SICM with the adjusted array steering vector, the proposed beamformer can provide robust performance. In comparison with many existing robust techniques, the proposed method performs well in both high and low signal-to-noise ratio scenarios. The conventional beamformers based on the projection methods are known to degrade due to the subspace swap at low signal‐to‐noise ratio values and the high or inaccurate dimension of subspace. A novel beamforming technique that combines the constructed covariance matrix and the estimated steering vector is proposed. The steering vector of each source signals is estimated using its cyclostationarity. Unlike the projection methods, the signal‐plus‐interference covariance matrix is constructed by further estimating the power of each source signals but avoiding forming the subspace. The distribution of the received signals in many array processing applications is noncircular. Although optimal widely linear beamformer (WLB) can provide the best performance for noncircular received signals, its performance degrades severely under model mismatches in practical applications. As a remedy, we propose a robust WLB by using precise reconstruction of extended interference-plus-noise covariance matrix (EINCM) and low-complexity estimation of extended desired signal steering vector (EDSSV). We propose to first determine the steering vectors, powers, and noncircularity coefficients of all signals and the noise power. In contrast to the previous reconstruction methods using the integration over a wide angular sector, we reconstruct the interference-plus-noise covariance matrix (INCM) and the pseudo INCM accurately according to their definitions. By using INCM and pseudo INCM, we can precisely reconstruct the EINCM. We propose to estimate the EDSSV by intersecting two extended subspaces, which are respectively formed by eigendecomposing the extended sample covariance matrix and the extended desired signal covariance matrix. Unlike the convex optimization methods, the proposed EDSSV estimation does not require any optimization programming and yields a solution with closed expression in low computational complexity. Coprime arrays have shown potential advantages for direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation by increasing the number of degrees-of-freedom in the difference coarray domain with fewer physical sensors. In this paper, a new DOA estimation algorithm for coprime array based on the estimation of signal parameter via rotational invariance techniques (ESPRIT) is proposed. We firstly derive the observation vector of the virtual uniform linear array but the covariance matrix of this observation vector is rank-deficient. Different from the traditional Toeplitz matrix reconstruction method using the observation vector, we propose a modified Toeplitz matrix reconstruction method using any non-zero row of the covariance matrix in the virtual uniform linear array. It can be proved in theory that the reconstructed Toeplitz covariance matrix has full rank. Therefore, the improved ESPRIT method can be used for DOA estimation without peak searching. Finally, the closed-form solution for DOA estimation in coprime array is obtained. Compared to the traditional coprime multiple signal classification (MUSIC) methods, the proposed method circumvents the use of spatial smoothing technique, which usually results in performance degradation and heavy computational burden. The antispoofing method using the direction-of-arrival (DOA) feature can effectively improve the application security of the global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receivers. In this paper, a sparse reconstruction approach based on a coprime array of antennas is proposed to provide reliable DOA estimation under a GNSS spoofing attack. Specifically, the self-coherence property of genuine satellite signals and spoofing was fully exploited to construct a denoised covariance matrix that enables DOA estimation before receiver despreading. Based on this, an equivalent uniform linear array (ULA) was generated from the constructed covariance matrix via virtual array interpolation. By applying the ideal of sparse reconstruction to an equivalent ULA signal, the preliminary DOA estimation results could be obtained without the need for a number of signals. Considering that the sparse estimation technique suffers from basis mismatch effects, we designed an optimization problem with respect to off-grid error to compensate the initial DOA such that the performance loss of DOA estimation could be reduced.
