This article talks about assisted suicide, crime in New York City, and the debate on immigration to the U.S. "National Review" disagrees with Professor Ernest van den Haag's advocacy of a right to suicide, and plans to publish a reply by Robert P. George in the future. Charges against four train commuters for playing with a deck of cards were quietly dropped in New York City out of embarrassment of the Manhattan District Attorney's office in relation to the focus of the city's law enforcement personnel. A debate on immigration was recommended by columnist Thomas Sowell along with the suggestion that Julian Simon would be the best pro-immigration advocate and that "Peter Brimelow's Alien Nation makes him a top choice for the contrary position."
