The Czech News Agency (ČTK) is a media institution that collects, processes and provides its customers with information on domestic and foreign events. It represents an important source of information (not only) for other media. However, trying to provide prompt information on interesting events may lead to inaccuracies and excessive simplification, especially in areas where there is a specialised element. One of them is criminal proceedings, which take place within the limits set by law. Therefore, this diploma thesis aims to map the form of criminal proceedings taking place before the Czech courts, as depicted in the ČTK news, and possibly to draw attention to their shortcomings in terms of legal standards and ČTK's ethical rules. The diploma thesis is divided into five basic parts. The introductory part briefly describes the concept of criminal proceedings, its course, selected basic principles and terminology. The following part outlines the importance of news for criminal proceedings (public control over the lawfulness of the criminal proceedings) and the boundaries between protecting freedom of speech on the media's part and the personal rights of prosecuted people and the victims. The main topic of this Bachelor´s thesis is the capital punishment. The aim of this thesis is to chart public opinion on this very controversial topic. The thesis also includes a research in which I examined public opinions on this metters. The aim of the theoretical part is to summarise and to explain the main terminology concerning this issue. It also provides a historical overview of the usage of capital punishment both in the Czech Republic and abroad. It shows the pluses and minuses of the topic and evaluates this issue from the philosophical and historical point of view. The practical part points at the public opinion on the re-establishment of the capital punishment in the Czech Republic. In this research has been employed a quantitative survey using questionnaires. My hypothesis states: People agree with the re-establishment of the capital punishment. The questionnaire has been originated through the website www.survio.cz and has been sent to social departments of various offices. It has also been displayed at the social media within the university where many students could express their opinions. I have gained 355 responces, six of which were discarded due to the incorrect completion. Out of these questionnaires I have created some diagrams featuring public opinion on the given issue. More details are included in the practical part.

The theme of this bachelor thesis is Violent Criminality with a Focus on Bullying. It is focused on characterizing legal, social and criminogenic aspects of bullying, to analyzing the frequency of occurrence of aggressive behavior of pupils and students of selected schools in them municipality with extended powers Soběslav. The theoretical part defines basic terms such as aggression, bullying, aggressor, perpetrator and victim, brings knowledge about the history and legal regulation of bullying. It also describes factors that influence the emergence of aggressive behaviour. Within phenomenology the thesis deals with the current state, structure and dynamics of criminal acts related to bullying based on data obtained from the statistics of the Police of the Czech Republic. The application part is based on primary data obtained from an anonymous questionnaire survey conducted at selected primary and secondary schools in the municipality Soběslav. In this section, three hypotheses have been set about the frequency of aggression within different age categories, form of aggressive behaviour and bullying latency. It has been found that aggression between pupils and students increases at a certain age. The prevailing form of aggression is verbal as expected. However, the latency of aggressive behaviour is lower than expected. The results of the survey were compared with the results of police analyzes, which indirectly confirm the findings. The benefit of the bachelor thesis is the evaluation of the given issue in the given territory. Furthermore, it can serve as an auxiliary study material in the study of social and legal areas. The thesis can also serve as information source for the staff of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic and other subjects dealing with the pathological behaviour of young people.

The main topic of the bachelor thesis is an overview of the most common property criminality in the Strakonice district and the creation of technical precaution which should ensure the property safety. Moreover the perpetrators of the particular committed acts are assessed according to the accessible PČR statistics. The qualitative research is used as a method which consists of research question and three goals. The history of the law-enforcement agencies is described in the theoretical part. This part is focused on the structure and overview of the agencies from the origin of the Czechoslovak Republic until the present day. The basic terms are introduced criminality, precautions, criminal act, offence, administration offence and technical precaution. In the practical part the qualitative research data collecting is described which afterwards points on the main issues. Through the data analysis the form of the most common property criminality was discovered, namely the criminal act of theft by robbery. This criminal act was mostly made in the unsecured object such as garages, storehouses and cellars. The most common age of the perpetrators is over 18. From the analysed data and facts technical precautions were made which could effectively prevent the perpetrators' assaults. Seven proposals of the object securement show the development of the technical precautions at the end of the practical part. In conclusion of the bachelor thesis the issues of committed criminality are summarized and the overview of the most effective technical precaution is made, considering the application in practice.

The topic of my diploma thesis is Sexual coercion (section 186 of the Criminal Code) and other crimes against human dignity in the sexual field deals with, besides the fundamental topic of sexual coercion and other crimes, which are mentioned in the third chapter of the special part of Act. No. 40/2009 Coll., Criminal Code. Although these typical sexual offences constitute only a tiny fraction of total criminality, we can label them as the most serious offenses of all, since the consequences they leave for victims are often irreparable. Although the offense of sexual coercion has been introduced into the legal systém for a short time, it has been found in a few cases for a short time and has confirmed that it is very appropriate tool for supplementing rape (§ 185 CC) and sexual abuse (§ 187 CC). The main aim of this thesis is to clarify the facts of the offense sexual coercion, to discuss its object, the physical elements (actus reus), the perpetrator (subject) and the mental elements (mens rea). For this reason, the introductory part is devoted to the historical context and the overall development of sexual offenses in our territory. This diploma thesis discusses the criminal proceedings against legal persons. The main idea of this diploma thesis is to describe single juridical institute of criminal procedure which is specific for proceedings against legal persons. For better understanding is necessary to find and understate all the sources of law. The primary authorities which will be used in the criminal proceedings are above all Act of Criminal Procedure against Legal Persons, Rules of Criminal Procedure and also Constitution of the Czech Republic and Charter of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms. It is also important to looking the sources at international level. Fundamental source is European Convention on Human Rights. The thesis deals with institutes of criminal law specific for legal entities, like imputability, a person committing a crime or enumeration of criminal acts for which can be affected legal entities. This dissertation focuses on issues of domestic violence (also known as domestic abuse) against men. It looks into the issue why male victims are not taken seriously by the Czech police forces. Domestic violence against men is less common than domestic violence against women. However those males affected by domestic abuse often struggle to find support in society and in the Czech law. They are often left to deal with the problems on their own. In many cases male victims are not treated seriously by society and police forces. It is very important to highlight this issue in society and find support by the Czech government. Abuse against men should be taken as seriously as violence on female victims. The focus should be on early intervention and prevention.

(in English): The aim of the work was to describe the experience of the providers of assistance to victims of crime with the use of the law in their practice. The experience and the views of the providers were obtained in the form of a questionnaire survey. As a source of data for addressing service has been utilized to view all registered entities providing their services to the victims of the crimes on the web site of the Ministry of justice. The work was focused on the practical application of selected provisions of act no. 45/2013 Coll. and from its results revealed that providers in your practice are finding that the provisions relating to particularly vulnerable victims, are defined too narrowly. Also the communication between the provider and the police is not yet ideally set.

Hudáková, J. Criminal liability of legal persons Criminal liability of legal persons is a significant change to the continental European law. It is a sensible breakthrough into the core principle of an individual criminal responsibility of individuals. In connection with the adoption of Act No. 418/2011 Coll., on the criminal liability of legal persons and proceedings against them, the thesis deals with main aspects of the criminal liability of legal persons in the Czech Republic. After defining of legal grounds of the criminal responsibility author subsequently discusses sanctioning of legal persons. At the same time, the author discusses legal regulation of moral person criminal liability in France. She outlines the principles of criminal liability of legal persons, as well as the conditions for imposing sanctions. The author tries to demonstrate, by means of the attached statistical surveys, the numerous application of this institute in the French legal practice. Finally, the author tries to compare Czech and French legislation in selected aspects.

This bachelor thesis deals with the economic offences. First four chapters define basic terms of criminal law such as criminal act, kinds of criminal acts and punishment for them according to the Criminal Code. From the fifth chapter it focuses on the economic offences. The sixth chapter goes into details through some of the economic offences on the basis of the Criminal Code and last chapter deals with analysis and statistics of the economic offences compared with the total criminal offences and informs about the worldwide research of the economic crimes made in 2014.

I The crime of fraud and special kinds of fraud ABSTRACT When choosing a subject matter for my diploma thesis I focused on what might be useful even from the point of view of my future practice. In this context, fraud of all different kinds is something we can meet with on daily basis and that is the reason why I decided to study in detail and treat this particular phenomenon. The entire thesis has been divided by me into six chapters with each of them splitting further into sub-chapters. I wished to treat the subject matter in most comprehensive way and so the thesis contains both historical and descriptive aspects as well as methodological ones, with an emphasis on the use and interpretation applied by courts and specific institutions. Chapter One stands for an introduction into the subject matter seen from a historical perspective. The first sub-chapter summarizes re-codification works of penal law from 1989 up to the present time while the subsequent sub-chapters deal with the very term of criminal offence of fraud in respect of its evolution and major amendments. The crime rate is among the highest risk factors and endangers society. By analyzing the development and subsequent predicting future values, you can take steps that would help to reduce crime and create the conditions conducive to the good development of society and security of citizens. Therefore, the State should control crime by one of the most important priorities. This thesis deals with the analysis of crime and number of people prosecuted in the Czech Republic, constructed using time series. Development into the future is estimated in the next three years. Longer forecast should not make much sense because of the rapidly changing laws. The conclusion is devoted to crime in Czech regions. Analysis is performed using cluster analysis, which examines the number of crimes in different regions. The result is a decision that the region together in terms of crime the most similar.

The terrorism, especially its international form belongs to the most serious risks threatening all the human population. The terrorism depends on media and in some way as well as media depend on the terrorism. Thus the terrorism means for media a very attractive input of information. It provides a greater audience. The terrorism without media would be only a local matter and in terms of global security it would have a minimal importance. The current status is focused on a characteristic of the terrorism, its division, possibilities to protect the population and a scope of the Integrated Rescue System, variations and measures of the fight against the terrorism. There are described different types of media which impact on the society with subsequent spreading of startlers, blackmailing and committing other crimes. Then there are mentioned personalities of terrorists and their characteristics and features in this part of the thesis. A goal of the research part of this bachelor thesis was to map and to concretely describe an increase of an abuse of the terrorism issues in the society under the continuous media coverage and then to identify specific sources realizing the possible abuse in the society. There was used a method of the quantitative sociological research. Data were collected from statistics and Czech Police record materials and Czech Fire Rescue reports. The bachelor thesis maps and highlights possible connections between the media coverage of this issue and an occurrence of threats, to which it was necessary to respond within activities of Police as well as Integrated Rescue system. It reveals some motives of perpetrators, which led individuals or groups to the realization of the threat and all that in the context with above described media coverage. In the case of media coverage there are powers in our society, which can then exploit this situation to settle their personal business or to spread startlers without giving any further details.

The thesis is being concerned with one of the serious criminal acts causing each year damages worth hundrends of millions Czech crowns. The main aim of the thesis is to provide a complex view of the problems. The thesis analyses the issue from both legal and economic angle of view, deals with the insurance fraud typology and proves the theory by evidence of particular cases. The thesis thereinafter discovers causations of commiting insurance frauds and describes the insurence fraud abatment. In the end the thesis tries to disclose the weak points of the system of prevention, to point at them and to come up with the improvement suggestions and recommendations.
