- Abstract
Angiolymphoid hyperplasia with eosinophilia is a rare and idiopathic vascular disorder. It is characterized clinically by red to brown papules and nodules located in the dermis or subcutaneous tissue. These lesions are typically localized on the head and neck region, particularly around the ear as singular or grouped multiple nodules. Trauma or arteriovenous shunt are accused about pathogenesis of disease. The histological examination characterized by a capillary vascular proliferation which lined by epitheloid type endothelial cells accompanied with lymphocytes and eosinophils. Although T-cell monoclonality was established in some cases generally it is regarded as a benign disease. Here, we describe the case of a angiolymhoid hyperplasia with eosinophilia with breast cancer history in 68-years-old women with solitary nodular lesion localized on scalp that was treated succesfully with cryotherapy. There was no association between breast cancer of our patient and angiolymhoid hyperplasia with eosinophilia. After five months of cryotherapy follow-up, the patient is free of recurrence.
