We report a series of high‐quality, low‐dimension, and bismuth‐based organic‐inorganic hybrid single crystals (C6H9N2)aBibXc (X=Cl, Br, I) fabricated via a simple hydrothermal method. The crystal structure, intermolecular interactions, morphology, chemical groups, bond characterization, and optical and thermal stability of the samples were detailed via X‐ray single crystal diffractomete, Hirshfeld surface analysis, field scanning electron microscopy (FSEM), fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FTIR), Raman, thermal gravimetric (TG), and Ultraviolet‐visible (UV‐vis) diffuse reflectance spectra. The results indicated that the (C6H9N2)2BiCl5 and (C6H9N2)2BiBr5 crystals displayed a monoclinic system with a P21/n space group at room temperature; the (C6H9N2)BiI4 crystal was P21/c. Meanwhile, the band gap could be continuously adjusted between 3.2 eV and 1.6 eV via the nature of halide ligands. The samples also have good thermal stability. The starting decomposition temperature of (C6H9N2)2BiCl5, (C6H9N2)2BiBr5, and (C6H9N2)BiI4 were 200 °C, 250 °C, and 300 °C, respectively. In this work, a new orthorhombic organic-inorganic hybrid single crystal (C 2 H 10 N 2) 2 MnBr 4.2Br with-Zero-dimensional structure was synthesized by slow evaporation method at 75 °C. The crystal structure and intermolecular interactions were performed by single crystal X-ray diffraction and Hirshfeld surface. Optical properties of (C 2 H 10 N 2) 2 MnBr 4.2Br were systematically studied by Raman, infrared spectrum, UV–vis, photoexcitation spectra, and photoluminescence spectra. The optical band gap (E g = 2.61 eV) were calculated from the absorption spectra of (C 2 H 10 N 2) 2 MnBr 4.2Br. This hybrid materials also had shown good thermal stability (decomposition temperature: 288–660 °C). Finally, photoluminescence measurements showed a strong excitation line at 362 nm and a strong fluorescence at 537 nm which makes it a promising material in luminescence field. Organic–inorganic single crystal (C 6 H 9 N 2) 2 ZnI 4 was successfully prepared using slow evaporation solution method under a relatively moderate condition. The (C 6 H 9 N 2) 2 ZnI 4 had a Zero-dimensional consists of two [C 6 H 9 N 2 ]+ cation and an asymmetric unit of one anionic tetrahedral [ZnI 4 ]2−. And the sample presented relatively perfect thermal stability up to 260 °C and wide band gap about 3.33 eV which was consistent with the theoretical value. Meanwhile, the compound electrical properties and alternating current (AC) conductivity mechanism were also discussed in detail. The organic–inorganic hybrid compound (C 6 H 9 N 2) 2 ZnI 4 was prepared by the slow evaporation method at room temperature. The single crystal X-ray diffraction results indicated that the (C 6 H 9 N 2) 2 ZnI 4 crystal was a monoclinic system with the space group P 2 1 / c at room temperature. The compound displayed typical Zero-dimensional (0D) consists of two [C 6 H 9 N 2 ]+ cation and one anionic tetrahedral [ZnI 4 ]2−. The sample presented relatively perfect thermal stability up to 260 °C and wide band gap about 3.33 eV which was consistent with the theoretical value. Furthermore, the electrical properties were characterized by impedance spectroscopy with the 209 Hz–5 MHz frequency from 308.15 K to 333.15 K. The alternating current (AC) conductivity of the compound was discussed using Jonscher's law: σ f = σ dc + A f s and the conduction could be attributed to the correlated barrier hopping (CBH) model.
