Different from the dominating supertetrahedral structure of InSe clusters, co-assembled nano-scale In33Se60 triangular ring clusters and wheel-shaped In18Se30 clusters have been found. The unusual second-sphere coordination templating effect of the Mn(dach) complexes and the central Mn2+ ion is responsible for the formation of the triangular ring. A new two-dimensional lead(II) coordination polymer, {[Pb3(qoa)2I4]n(1), (qoa−= 8-quinolyloxyacetate)}, was synthesized by hydrothermal method. The structure of1may be considered as a two-dimensional coordination polymer based on rectangular hexanuclear lead(II) units. The hexanuclear PbIIunits are connected to form one-dimensional chain structure by carboxyl monodentate oxygen bridges, and the one-dimensional chains are further linked by μ-I connectors to generate the two-dimensional coordination polymer. Optical diffuse-reflection spectra results suggest complex1has the property of the semiconductor. Complex1shows phosphorescence with the emission at 614 nm and 670 nm upon excitation at 350 nm. A novel Cu-Na heteronuclear three-dimensional coordination polymer, poly[diaquadi-μ5-iminodiacetato-di-μ4-iminodiacetato-tricopper(II)disodium(I)], [Cu3Na2(C4H5NO4)4(H2O)2] n, has been prepared by hydrothermal synthesis. The asymmetric unit contains one and a half copper(II) cations, a sodium cation, two iminodiacetate (ida) ligands and a coordinated water ligand. One of the two independent CuII centres is in a general position and is five-coordinated in a distorted square-pyramidal geometry. A [Cu(ida)] unit is formed via a bis-chelating ida ligand and the coordination sphere of the CuII atom is completed by two O atoms of two different neighbouring [Cu(ida)2] units. These [Cu(ida)2] units are associated with the second CuII cation, which is located on a crystallographic inversion centre and is coordinated in a distorted square-planar geometry by two chelating ida ligands. The carboxylate groups of the ida ligands act as bridges and connect the [Cu(ida)] and [Cu(ida)2] building blocks in a 2:1 ratio, forming two-dimensional arrays. These layers are interconnected into a three-dimensional structure by the sodium ions. Each NaI cation is coordinated by six O atoms from five ida ligands and a water molecule. When [Cu(ida)], the NaI cations and [Cu(ida)2] are viewed as 5-, 5- and 8-connected nodes, respectively, the three-dimensional network exhibits a (32.43.52.63)2(32.43.52.63)2(34.616.78) topology. Indium zinc oxide (IZO) films were grown by direct current magnetron sputtering from vacuum hot-pressed ceramic oxide targets of In 2 O 3 :ZnO with a weight ratio of 7:3 onto glass substrates. No external heating of the substrate was used during deposition. The thickness dependences of the structural, optical, and electrical properties of IZO films were characterized. The IZO film structure remained amorphous with low roughness as its thickness increased but showed an increased degree of short-range order. The thick IZO film contained relatively high carrier concentration and mobility but exhibited low transmittance in the visible region and high reflectance in the IR region. The smallest electrical resistivity was 5.44 × 10 −4 Ω-cm for the 800 nm-thick IZO film. The optical band gap shifted to a higher energy with thickness as the carrier concentration and Urbach energy increased. An inverse linear relation was found between band gap energy and Urbach energy. In consideration of the figure of merit values, the optimized thickness of the IZO film was 800 nm due to the effect of IZO film thickness on sheet resistance. Given its low temperature process and good optoelectronic properties, the IZO film has a wide range of potential applications in various optoelectronic devices. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
