This book presents the papers included in the proceedings of the 7th International Conference of Reliable Information and Communication Technology 2023 (IRICT 2023) that was held in Pulai Springs Resorts, Johor, Malaysia on 27-28, December 2023. IRICT 2023 is organized by the Yemeni Scientists Research Group (YSRG) and Big Data Center in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (Malaysia) in collaboration with Association for Information Systems – Malaysia Chapter (MyAIS) and College of Engineering, IT and Environment at Charles Darwin University (Australia). IRICT2023 is a forum for the presentation of technological advances in the field of Information and Communication Technology. The main theme of the conference is “Advances in Intelligent Computing Techniques and Applications”. The book discusses several research topics such as Health Informatics, Artificial Intelligence, Soft Computing, Data Science, Big Data Analytics, Internet of Things (IoT), Intelligent Communication Systems, Cyber Security, and Information System. These papers were presented in three parallel sessions during the two days.

This book presents the papers included in the proceedings of the 6th International Conference of Reliable Information and Communication Technology 2021 (IRICT 2021) that was held virtually, on Dec. 22-23, 2021. This volume contains articles accepted for presentation during The Intel­ ligent Information Processing and Web Mining Conference IIS:IIPWM'04 which was held in Zakopane, Poland, on May 17-20, 2004. This conference is a continuation of a series of 13 successful symposia and conferrences on Intel­ ligent Information Systems, organized by the Institute of Computer Science of Polish Academy of Sciences, devoted to new trends in (broadly understood) Artificial Intelligence. The idea of organizing such meetings dates back to 1992. Our main in­ tention guided the first, rather small-audience, workshop in the series was to resume the results gained in Polish scientific centers as well as contrast them with the research performed by Polish scientists working at the universities in Europe and USA and their foreign collaborators. This idea proved to be attractive enough that we decided to continue such meetings. As the years went by, the workshops has transformed into regular symposia devoted to such fields like Machine Learning, Knowledge Discovery, Natural Language Processing, Knowledge Based Systems and Reasoning, and Soft Computing (i. e. Fuzzy and Rough Sets, Bayesian Networks, Neural Networks and Evo­ lutionary Algorithms). At present, about 50 papers prepared by researches from Poland and other countries are usually presented. Since year 2000, scientists on artificial and natural intelligences started to study chance discovery - methods for discovering events/situations that significantly affect decision making. Partially because the editors Ohsawa and Abe are teaching at schools of Engineering and of Literature with sharing the interest in chance discovery, this book reflects interdisciplinary aspects of progress:First, as an interdisciplinary melting pot of cognitive science, computational intelligence, data mining/visualization, collective intelligence, … etc, chance discovery came to reach new application domains e.g. health care, aircraft control, energy plant, management of technologies, product designs, innovations, marketing, finance etc.Second, basic technologies and sciences including sensor technologies, medical sciences, communication technologies etc. joined this field and interacted with cognitive/computational scientists in workshops on chance discovery, to obtain breakthroughs by stimulating each other. TheInternationalConferenceonRoughSetandKnowledgeTechnology(RSKT) has been held every year since 2006. RSKT serves as a major forum that brings researchers and industry practitioners together to discuss and deliberate on fundamental issues of knowledge processing and management and knowled- intensive practical solutions in the current knowledge age. Experts from around the world meet to present state-of-the-art scienti?c results, to nurture academic and industrial interaction, and to promote collaborative research in rough sets and knowledge technology. The?rst RSKT was held in Chongqing, China, f- lowed by RSKT 2007 in Toronto, Canada, RSKT 2008 in Chengdu, China and RSKT 2009 in Gold Coast, Australia. RSKT 2010, the 5th in the series, was held in Beijing, China, October 15–17, 2010. This volume contains 98 papers selected for presentation at RSKT 2010. Following the success of the previous conferences, RSKT 2010 continued the tradition of a very rigorous reviewing process. Every submission was reviewed byatleasttworeviewers.Moreover,RSKT2010invitedseveralareachairsto- pervise the review process of every submission. Most submissions were reviewed by three experts. The Program Committee members were deeply involved in a highly engaging selection process with discussions among reviewers and area chairs. When necessary, additional expert reviews were sought. As a result, only top-quality papers were chosen for presentation at the conference, including 49 regular papers (acceptance rate of 28%) and 25 short papers (acceptance rate of 14.3%). We would like to thank all the authors for contributing their best papers. Without their support, this conference would not have been possible.

This volume contains the papers selected for presentation at the Third Inter- tional Conference on Rough Sets and Knowledge Technology (RSKT 2008) held in Chengdu, P. R. China, May 16–19, 2008. The RSKT conferences were initiated in 2006 in Chongqing, P. R. China. RSKT 2007 was held in Toronto, Canada, together with RSFDGrC 2007, as JRS 2007. The RSKT conferences aim to present state-of-the-art scienti?c - sults, encourage academic and industrial interaction, and promote collaborative research in rough sets and knowledge technology worldwide. They place emphasis on exploring synergies between rough sets and knowledge discovery, knowledge management, data mining, granular and soft computing as well as emerging application areas such as bioinformatics, cognitive informatics, and Web intel- gence, both at the level of theoretical foundations and real-life applications. RSKT 2008 focused on?ve major research?elds: computing theory and paradigms, knowledge technology, intelligent information processing, intelligent control, and applications. This was achieved by including in the conference program sessions on rough and soft computing, rough mereology with app- cations, dominance-based rough set approach, fuzzy-rough hybridization, gr- ular computing, logical and mathematical foundations, formal concept analysis, data mining, machine learning, intelligent information processing, bioinform- ics and cognitive informatics, Web intelligence, pattern recognition, and real-life applications of knowledge technology. This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the Second International Conference on Rough Sets and Knowledge Technology, RSKT 2007, held in Toronto, Canada in May 2007 in conjunction with the 11th International Conference on Rough Sets, Fuzzy Sets, Data Mining, and Granular Computing, RSFDGrC 2007, both as part of the Joint Rough Set Symposium, JRS 2007.

This volume contains the papers selected for presentation at the First Int- national Conference on Rough Sets and Knowledge Technology (RSKT 2006) organized in Chongqing, P. R. China, July 24-26, 2003. There were 503 s- missions for RSKT 2006 except for 1 commemorative paper, 4 keynote papers and 10 plenary papers. Except for the 15 commemorative and invited papers, 101 papers were accepted by RSKT 2006 and are included in this volume. The acceptance rate was only 20%. These papers were divided into 43 regular oral presentation papers (each allotted 8 pages), and 58 short oral presentation - pers (each allotted 6 pages) on the basis of reviewer evaluation. Each paper was reviewed by two to four referees. Since the introduction of rough sets in 1981 by Zdzis law Pawlak, many great advances in both the theory and applications have been introduced. Rough set theory is closely related to knowledge technology in a variety of forms such as knowledge discovery, approximate reasoning, intelligent and multiagent systems design, and knowledge intensive computations that signal the emergence of a knowledge technology age. The essence of growth in cutting-edge, state-of-t- art and promising knowledge technologies is closely related to learning, pattern recognition,machine intelligence and automation of acquisition, transformation, communication, exploration and exploitation of knowledge. A principal thrust of such technologies is the utilization of methodologies that facilitate knowledge processing.

The - pers give an overview over a wide range of applications for intelligent systems: in operating systems design, in network security, for information extraction from multimedia (sound, graphics), in?nancial market analysis, in medicine, in geo-science, etc. Though numerous papers have been submitted, only a fraction of them (about 40%) was accepted for publication in a rigorous reviewing process.

The international conference Intelligent Information Processing and Web Mining IIS:IIPWM'05, organized in Gda?sk-Sobieszewo on 13–16th June, 2005, was a continuation of a long tradition of conferences on applications of Arti?cial Intelligence (AI) in Information Systems (IS), organized by the Institute of Computer Science of Polish Academy of Sciences in cooperation with other scienti?c and business institutions. The Institute itself is deeply engaged in research both in AI and IS and many scientists view it as a leading institution both in fundamental and - plied research in these areas in Poland. The originators of this conference series, Prof. M. D?browski and Dr. M. Michalewicz had in 1992 a long-term goal of bringing together scientists and industry of di?erent braches from Poland and abroad to achieve a creative synthesis. One can say that their dream has come to reality. Scientists from?ve continents made their subm- sions to this conference. A brief look at the a?liations makes international cooperation visible. The research papers have either a motivation in c- crete applications or are o?-springs of some practical requests. This volume presents the best papers carefully chosen from a large set of submissions (about 45%).
