This article considers neural network (NN)-based adaptive finite-time resilient control problem for a class of nonlinear time-delay systems with unknown fault data injection attacks and actuator faults. In the procedure of recursive design, a coordinate transformation and a modified fractional-order command-filtered (FOCF) backstepping technique are incorporated to handle the unknown false data injection attacks and overcome the issue of “explosion of complexity” caused by repeatedly taking derivatives for virtual control laws. The theoretical analysis proves that the developed resilient controller can guarantee the finite-time stability of the closed-loop system (CLS) and the stabilization errors converge to an adjustable neighborhood of zero. The foremost contributions of this work include: 1) by means of a modified FOCF technique, the adaptive resilient control problem of more general nonlinear time-delay systems with unknown cyberattacks and actuator faults is first considered; 2) different from most of the existing results, the commonly used assumptions on the sign of attack weight and prior knowledge of actuator faults are fully removed in this article. This paper aims to investigate the event-based extended dissipative state estimation problem for memristor-based Markovian neural networks in the presence of hybrid time-varying delays and sensor nonlinearity. To tackle the effect caused by information latching, sudden interference and environmental variation, the Markov jump model is employed to describe the memristor-based neural network. Besides, an event-triggered scheme is introduced to economize the cost of communication. Then some novel conditions are presented, which guarantee that the augmented error system is stochastically stable with an extended dissipative performance. The existence criterion of the desired mode-dependent estimator is also obtained in terms of linear matrix inequalities. This paper concerns the adaptive state-feedback control for a class of high-order stochastic nonlinear systems with uncertainties including time-varying delay, unknown control gain, and parameter perturbation. The commonly used growth assumptions on system nonlinearities are removed, and the adaptive control technique is combined with the sign function to deal with the unknown control gain. Then, with the help of the radial basis function neural network approximation approach and Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional, an adaptive state-feedback controller is obtained through the backstepping design procedure. It is verified that the constructed controller can render the closed-loop system semiglobally uniformly ultimately bounded. This paper is concerned with the problem of global output-feedback control for a class of stochastic nonlinear time-delay systems in the presence of input saturation and unmeasurable states. As a distinctive feature, the growth assumptions imposed on the drift and diffusion terms are proven to be unnecessary, which can be removed through a technical lemma. In addition, by introducing an auxiliary system whose order is the same as the considered system, and using Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional, the adverse effects generated by input saturation and time-varying delay are eliminated. Then, based on state-observer and backstepping recursive design, an output-feedback controller is constructed to render the closed-loop system be globally bounded almost surely. Particularly, instead of converging to an arbitrarily small neighborhood of zero as in related results, the tracking error is ensured to be tuned by the design parameters and an input saturation error in the mean quartic sense. This technical note firstly introduces two classes of integral inequalities with and without free matrices, respectively, and points out that they, although in different forms, are actually equivalent in the sense of conservatism, i.e., the two corresponding ones produce the same tight upper bounds. Secondly, the relationship between the method of integral inequalities with free matrices and the free-weighting matrix technique is intensively investigated. This technical note is concerned with the problem of stability analysis for time-delay systems. A new series of integral inequalities to bound a single integral term is presented by introducing some free matrices, which produces tighter bounds than some existing ones. Similarly, based on orthogonal polynomials defined in integral inner spaces, new series of multiple integral inequalities are presented as well, which include the existing double ones. To show the effectiveness of the proposed inequalities, their applications to stability analysis of systems with discrete and distributed delays are provided with numerical examples. The inequality technique plays an important role in stability analysis for time-delay systems. This technical note presents a new sequence of novel summation inequalities by introducing some free matrices, which includes the newly-developed Wirtinger-based and free-matrix-based summation inequalities as special cases. Moreover, the idea can be easily extended to the multiple-summation-inequality case. Based on the proposed inequalities, relaxed stability conditions are obtained for systems with time-varying delay. This paper revisits the problem of asymptotic stability analysis for neural networks with distributed delays. The distributed delays are assumed to be constant and prescribed. Since a positive-definite quadratic functional does not necessarily require all the involved symmetric matrices to be positive definite, it is important for constructing relaxed Lyapunov–Krasovskii functionals, which generally lead to less conservative stability criteria. Based on this fact and using two kinds of integral inequalities, a new delay-dependent condition is obtained, which ensures that the distributed delay neural network under consideration is globally asymptotically stable. This stability criterion is then improved by applying the delay partitioning technique. Two numerical examples are provided to demonstrate the advantage of the presented stability criteria. This paper is concerned with the design of mode-dependent and mode-independent filters for continuous-time linear Markovian jump systems (MJSs) with time-varying delays. Different from the existing studies in the literature, the purpose of this paper is to solve the H\infty, L2-L\infty, passive and dissipative filtering problems in a unified framework. This purpose is successfully realized by using a new performance index that is referred to as extended dissipativity. The extended dissipative inequality contains several weighting matrices. By tuning the weighting matrices, the extended dissipativity will reduce to the H\infty performance, L2-L\infty performance, passivity and dissipativity, respectively. Delay-dependent conditions for the analysis of stochastic stability and extended dissipativity for MJSs with time-varying delays are obtained by using a mode-dependent Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional together with a novel integral inequality. Based on these conditions, the design methods for mode-dependent and mode-independent filters are developed based on linear matrix inequalities. The designed filters guarantee that the resulting filtering error system is stochastically stable and extended dissipative for any admissible delays.
