- Abstract
Teeth that have undergone endodontic treatment and have lost part of the dental structure due to fracture usually require intraradicular retainers to promote retention to the future crown. Current aesthetic standards have occurred in recent years a rapid evolution in regard to free metal prostheses. To combine all the advantages of these biomaterials to harmoniously rehabilitate a superior premolar. Patient sought dental care and clinical examination revealed fracture in element 24 already treated endodontically. Intrarradicular fiberglass retainer was planned, in agreement with the patient, following the principle of disruption of 2/3 of the root canal for insertion of the pin with posterior rehabilitation in a fixed crown free of metal, respecting the protocol. The molding procedure was done by the technique of double impression with the aid of retractor wire # 0 with condensation silicone, light and heavy base. The models were made in special type IV gypsum and sent to the laboratory to produce the final ceramoceramic crown of the IPS E-max system. Thus, there was an improvement in the quality of life of the patient, since requirements such as satisfaction in the aesthetics of the unitary prosthesis, smile aesthetics and phonetics were applied, having a positive impact.
