Abstract

The article presents case study of a 57-year-old man who was suspected with pyoderma gangrenosum (PG) of the right leg, diagnosed with central necrosis and ulceration. It mentions the laboratory tests which revealed anaemia and thrombocytopenia with myelocytosis along with diagnosis necrotizing fasciitis followed by surgical debridement. It also discusses the efficacy of Cyclosporine and anti-TNF alpha infliximab using systemic corticosteroid technique.

Abstract

The article presents a case study of a 50 year old man with a pigmented lesion of the anterior aspect of neck of one year duration. Topics discussed include diagnosis of lichen sclerosus (LS) mimicking a halo-naevus comedonicus in an adult patient being made, histology of LS showing atrophy of epidermis with vacuolar degeneration of basal layer and orthohyperkeratosis of the stratum corneum and considering of photodynamic therapy or surgery as treatment.
